The food and service was great. We ate the day's menu, that included 4 dishes. For starter we had Finnish beef tartar and Finnish white fish tartar. The taste and look were amazing. Next we had cold soup made mainly from tomatoes and strawberries, and in the middle was cucumber, oil, etc. The taste was interesting and fresh, but not my favorite. For me the strawberry indicates for desserts, so the taste just couldn't fit for the soup. For third dish we had Finnish arctic char, cauliflower puree, carrots, and sauce, etc. Again, the taste was awesome. The fish was melting in your mouth and it had a nice smoky flavor, but not too much, and it was still moistur. For dessert we had creme brulee with rhubarb, sorbet, etc. It was again amazing. And almost everytime different persons were bringing the different dishses, still they were all the time polite and aware, what we had earlier got and what feedback we had told about the food. Only small minus comes from the tight space for tables and seats. But definitely I will come again to this restaurant and will warmly recommen for others! Just remember to reserve seats before going to the restaurant. :)
The mouth-watering turnip and lamb in rosemary sauce was delicious
A very pleasant place for a funeral memorial service. The food is very good and the staff's service is first class.
Very friendly service and incredible food! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Helsinki!
5 stars for Aito and 0 stars for Google! Excellent ambiance, wine, food and staff. I would have thought they d have great cocktails too given Google s description Great cocktails . When I asked for a Manhattan they said, no, we only do G&Ts . Hats off to this restaurant though, a top cozy dining experience in Helsinki.
Great food, great wines, warm genuine service. Indeed, the price corresponds to the quality and more! Love this place!
I was bothered by a large group, but my husband and I had a vegan course. I don't think such vegan courses are so rare. I was impressed by the chef's efforts, skills and care. Helsinki was a really nice city, vegan friendly.
Quiet, elegant gesture-free restaurant with a good atmosphere, excellent offer and friendly, "genuine" service !!
Great wines, good food respectful of the season and Finnish traditional tastes. However the staff could put a little effort in telling loud, rowdy tables to calmn down. A singular experience perhaps, but it kind of ruined the mood for me (half a points worth).
We've had two amazing anniversaries here. Would definitely recommend.
Mouth-watering food made from domestic ingredients, good service and an excellent wine list.
Great food, lovely service, adapted to my dairy allergy well and without prior notice. The food was excellent with a couple outstanding portions. Wine pairing was mostly good with one miss in my opinion. Would definitely go again. Prices are not awfully high for Helsinki, but still very much in the fine dining range. The staff can speak English pretty well, but you might miss some stories of you don't speak Finnish.
Fantastic food and brilliant service, look out for Aito in a future White Guide, a 5 star city bistro if there ever was one.
Very nice service. The food is very nice, and predictable, but has some fun twists here and there that make it nice. The place was full of people and I didn't feel as relaxed as I would have wanted, but that shouldn't stop you.
Very good service & food. One of the best restaurants in Helsinki!
The Valentine s Day 5-course menu with wines was excellent. Great service, intimate milieu.
A most enjoyable 4-course surprise menu with delicate combinations and refined tastes. Also, a very good selection of wines. However, the menu was in only one language as was the service. Otherwise friendly and competent. The selection of Finnish cheeses was a real hit even if we started the tasting from the strongest of the three.
I took a guest professor from South Korea, who had visited Helsinki for the fourth time, to this restaurant for a dinner. By the end of it, he called it the best dinner he had ever had in this city. We ordered the menu of the day and were More
Excellent food and service as well as a very good wine package in a modest setting.
Superb experience! The food was delicious, wines exquisitely excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming!
Food is always excellent and the service is very kind. We are regulars at this place - the rating is not based on one visit only.
Can highly recommend this place!
Very cozy small restaurant. Good service and absolutely excellent food. Dosages are beautiful, of appropriate size and of course very tasty. The price-quality ratio is fine.
Good value for money on Saturday lunch. Finnish food with some nuances in the direction of France. Appropriate efforts had been made to present the portions and seasonal products such as pumpkin and lingonberries had also been used as raw materials. The menu of 3 dishes became suitably full, maybe for the super hungry the whole is just enough. Serving fast and friendly.
Excellent lunch offering Mo-Fr. It s slightly more pricey than the usual but offer value. A particular delight is that they quite regularly have some pike variation on the menu.
Dinner is also good but slightly overpriced.
Fanatastic experience. The food and wine was of superb quality. Next time I am in Finland, I will visit again
Worthy to go with a long formula .. to value for money and to service!
Tasty food and the place feels warm and welcoming. Reserve in advance.
Atmospheric block restaurant with knowledgeable, courteous, uncomplicated and friendly service.
The four-course menu was fresh (Fressi), the tastes simple and clear, but tasty and well-structured.
Although the restaurant was relatively crowded so acoustically the space works well and no volume rises and the space echoes.
Very good experience
Gorgeous and exceeded expectations. Everything is in place, ie food, service, wines and atmosphere. 5 stars
Small and quiet restaurant with really good food. I was really satisfied
Check the photos for the Vegetarian menu, four main ingredients: 1. Broad bean 2. Jerusalem artichoke 3. Black Salsify 4. Apple
Great location, and extraordinary food! Is good to enjoy with friends or for a date ;)
Nice, tiny restaurant serving excellent Scandi cuisine. The fish is great.
Nice, cozy restaurant. Tasty and high quality Sunday brunch.
It's not in vain to book the whole weekend!
Good tastes! Good service!
Very cozy Scandinavian restaurant with perfect wine and food combinations
Cozy restaurant, great food and friendly service. Kid-friendly too
The food and drink was good. Service great.
We ate menus with four dishes.
This restaurant is reportedly fish dishes is what you should eat and true it was.
The wine menu was very appropriate for the side of the food chosen. Well-chosen wines that you can't find in yourself.
It is a relatively small and popular restaurant, so a table reservation is probably necessary in most cases.
I highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks to them.
Really good, the reinder meet was delicious! And the waiter was really nice. Thank you!!
Very good place for your money. A restaurant where food and ingredients are known. A big plus for considering special diets and allergies. Good wines. Very friendly staff.
Always reliable cooking with local ingredients and an interesting wine list. Cosy .
Beautiful little restaurant, delicious food and great service!
Great menu of the day. Relevant set of recommendations on wines. Great and knowledgeable presentation of both food and especially wines.
A superb restaurant. Extremely delicious food. Great service.
Spectacular service and interesting menu with focus on domestic ingredients. The wine pairings are top notch. Well worth a visit!
Very ordinary food, well made, but special flavors are useless to look for.
Delicious food, great Emil chef, friendly waiters and quality wines. We warmly recommend!
If looking for a Finnish contemporary food with a twist, look no further. Solid service!
We had the full house 6 piece menu and couldn't have been more happy. The food was excellent and fresh, the staff were really friendly, the wine selection they made were spot on and the dishes were original. Highly recommended!
Good food, not an ordinary recipe. Delicious and suitably sized portions.
8 course dinner experienced. Fine use of domestic raw materials. Excellent service. Experience!
Awesome place. Food excellent, as well as service. I recommend!
Slightly bohemian decorated restaurant space. Comfortable hall function and clear good flavors on a plate. Good own money restaurant experience.
Outrageous flavors and a good vibe. I recommend really, you will not be disappointed.
Atmospheric little restaurant, maybe too cramped. The waiters are friendly and knowledgeable. The starter soup and dessert were excellent, the main course duck did not please any of our party. Price.
What a pleasure to try this restaurant. Quality ingredients, lovely plating and professional staff. We had the 4-course dinner paired with wines (gazpacho, fish, cheeses, dessert).
Staff really professional, always explained carefully about wine and food, thank you very much.
Great restaurant. Small and cozy. The service was friendly, but it took a while to get the food. The doses were delicious. The hunter's bread in particular was good. The main course was beef breast, which was good too. Prices were high.
Really pleasant atmospheric little restaurant where the wonderful staff is sure to create a wonderful restaurant experience for everyone
Loved the customized dinner for people like me who are vegetarians..a full four course meal was served. Waitress explained everything about each dish.
A cozy restaurant in the city centre of Helsinki.
Excellent service and food. A big plus for wine know-how and domesticity.
Good food and wine. Foods and wines presented in a pleasant and expert way. Thank you!
loved it! not super cheap but cozy and the meat was excellent.
Good food, but a sudden waiter ruined the atmosphere of the evening.
Aito menu was excellent with good wine pairings. I avoided red meat today, and the main course changed to vegetable option was one of the best veggie mains I have ever had.
