A nice chic hotel with various styled room, I got "mystical" and it was mildly reminiscent of a fairytale cabin but subtle enough to be tasteful. Oddly opts for twin beds where a double could have fit and no sauna (in Helsinki!). The gym is well equipped with weights that go up well beyond the usual hotel liability inhibited 12kgs.

Nice hotel. The rooms are very chic but not really useful. No wardrobe, only 3 hangers in a double room and no real closet. The breakfast is very good, with delicious bread, healthy "shots", salmon, hot items such as scrambled eggs, bacon or porridge and yogurt, fruits and cereals.
Reception personell was friendly and service minded. Breakfast was excellent allthoug the breakfast resturant was to small. Also the bar downstairs had too few seats. Theese are minor complaints. More serious is that room cleaning was no good. And that toilet paper was not resupplied during the day. We had to find the service trolley in the corridor and help ourself with that.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay. Good breakfast with helpful staff. Desk staff was always helpful; we appreciated the help with bike rental, luggage storage and arranging transportation to the airport.
This hotel exudes all the character, charm and stylish boutique vibe of hotels that belong to the DESIGN HOTELS chain of accommodations. Given the price we paid and proximity to all attractions & public transport - this is a great value for money. The coolest part was they even had an ACOUSTIC GUITAR in the room representing the CHARACTER that was tied to the room(each room in this section had a character like Pedro tied to it) which was sweet.
LOCATION: Excellent location - close to the central station and walkable from all points of interest
DINE + DRINK: Sweet lobby level Restaurant, but no good bar on site. The italian restaurant at the ground level seemed packed too, so must be good
ROOM: We stayed in 626 - which was a SKY LOFT - , so this review is based on that; VIEW: basic view of the city ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Spa quality cosmetics that were mindblowing
FACILITIES: Pretty decent Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to the front desk staff
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages
I have now stayed at re K Klaus about half a dozen times over the last year. I think we now even have a corporate rate as a result of the business I have encouraged my company to now extend to your hotel. I think you guys are awesome. Your staff is polite and thoughtful. The quality of your bedding and the quietness of your rooms(the only real things that most international travellers desire) are at the requisite level of a top hotel. Your breakfast is awesome. The only issue I have had in the past is your key cards regularly failing and having to come downstairs for new ones. It didn't happen this last trip but that was a first. If this is fixed I have no complaints at all! And I am pretty picky.!
Correction, the only real remaining issues I have is that your restaurant a year ago was much better on quality of food than it is now. The cooking has slipped. Not sure why but your menu is good but food quality is not the same.
Hotel has a great feel. The staff is helpful and responsive. The property itself is well maintained and the studios, specifically, are roomy and do a great job for atmosphere. If the opportunity arises to take a Skyloft, take the opportunity as the roof top area is great for relaxing and has an excellent view of the immediate area.
Highlights: The location is excellent; Really good breakfast buffet, especially the gluten free chocolate cake, it's heavenly; The access to the sky lounge is pretty cool and the rooms are modernly finished. Lowlights: There were a bunch of hiccups that should and could have been avoided. The staff weren't very friendly and they seemed to be stressed out. The sky lounge was not attended to, at all, even the coffee machine was under repair the entire time. The toilets weren't particularly clean and despite reminding the reception multiple times little to nothing was done.
Great hotel in a central location just minutes from everything in Helsinki. Standard rooms are quite compact but comfortable and modern. Sky suites are amazing. Very good breakfast. Good in house Italian Restaurant. All round well recommended.
It was a member of a related hotel group but I confirmed that it was a really small room that I was told that I could not upgrade my room. I felt negative because I felt like this room for the first time in a long time with a rather nasty feeling, but I was surprised at the splendor of breakfast. There are a lot of things but it feels very good, especially cheesecake! The location is good, so I think it's a great hotel, as long as the benefits to related members are good. But I didn't take any photos ... it looks good!
Check-in took too long and did not feel like a luxury hotel when respan had to explain that there is no minibar but you can buy respa and that you can borrow care / fats from the loan office - the main feeling was that there is even toilet paper or should it be returned. The room was a bit shabby. Breakfast is just fine, but the pots for hot dishes are really impractical and there were no specialty coffees on offer that are starting to be available in almost every place these days. It is also unstylish at breakfast to keep notes that please take only what you eat. Is it in a kindergarten or a wonderful hotel? The location is good.
I do not recommend this hotel if you stay in a normal room. In Helsinki, you can find much better hotels at the same price.
Excellent personal service restaurant, and a peaceful setting. The price level shall fully on what to get.
We went to try out Vegaanibrunssia which will be held from time to time and they were very happy. Top is cold buffet style catering, main course we chose the three options kantarellivaihtoehdon which was timed to fit perfectly with what we eat. The dessert buffet table was crowned with a chilli cake that was at least brilliant and also made on-site.
We got a spacious room with a bay window and a wide bed. The bathroom was quite small compared to the room. There was no sauna section at the hotel. The room would be great after a little overhaul.
Asians, including Japanese, are actively guided to rooms with poor scenery (such as rooms without windows!). There are a lot of fashionable rooms in the guidebook, etc., but this is a terrible hotel that was stunned by Japanese who do not understand Finnish and English. It is strongly recommended that you stay in another hotel so that you will not be fooled by the guidebook. Staying here dislikes Finland. be careful.
when arrived, didn't expect the room is a bit small as compared to pictures seen on the website. the room light a bit too dark, prefer brighter. however breakfast not bad..
Breakfast was not that good.. do you taste The food bedoeee you serve it..? my room was Really Small (snakker The The usual Small rooms) and fasong to The noisy fan in The back yard so not so impressed compared to the costs.
Expensive for such a small room, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping me reserve an extra night. Very nice breakfast service and awesome design hotel.
Hotel location good, room comfortable and setting ok. Breakfast is great, but the space is cramped and noisy, which will bring down the pleasure of its enjoyment
Super hotel. Perfect location in the heart of the shopping and design districts. Very tastefully designed, comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet too.
Absolutely pointlessly comfortable and high quality place if you consider the price. Room quiet, punk was 10, breakfast almost 9, staff 10, location a certain 10. The nice thing was the kind of green bath salt and hot bath at the end of the heavy dune days. Really nice visit and thanks to the staff. Priceworth hotel in the center of Helsinki. Cozy and clean, with serviceminded staff. They have an awesome staff. Thank you for the visit!
Checked in just after midnight on 29th September (room booked 28th-29th) and was met by one of the nicest, serviceminded and professional front desk staff I have ever met and I have stayed at many hotels. The room was nicely decorated, bed very comfy and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. All together I was very saticfied with my stay at Klaus K and I only wish I would have taken an earlier flight to Helsinki.
A design hotel with good service. The fly in the ointment is that we stayed for two nights. After visiting the street the next day, we found that the door card could not be used. The counter said something wrong, but it was finished immediately. Back to the room, I found a bottle of red wine and a can of nuts that didn't appear yesterday. It was obvious that the room was not fully prepared when I checked in on the first day (only one bottle of wine was on the bar when I checked in, but the next day But two bottles were put in half with the third bottle. After the reaction with the counter that night, they immediately dealt with it. But when the checkout is about to leave on the third day, the counter will tell us again whether it really does not use the nuts of the bar. This makes me feel a little uncomfortable.
Not my favorite. I travel always and often, perhaps I expect a certain level... but from the service to actual hotel, in my opinion, it did not match the photos. My room was basically in the basement with the tiniest of windows. When I asked for late check out (as a platinum elite) I was denied and told I had to pay, until I offered to call Marriott. The decor of the hotel just felt dirty and old unfortunately with cleaning carts and items throughout the entire hotel, it had more of a hostel vibe than an SPG (now Marriott) collection hotel. So slightly disappointing.
Rare uncomfortable booth behind many bends. I never saw a sign in the emergency exit. Do you meet the fire safety requirements? The TV was placed so that the bed could not be seen.
The rooms are an enormous safety hazard and the management knows. (1) The ceiling lights & bedside reading lights are on one switch. So, it's all on or all off. If you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, it's take your chances in the dark or wake your partner with 1500 watts of light. (2) Walkways within the rooms are too narrow for humans. Take a look.
I was upgraded from a single room to a doble, I did not feel like that. The room was very very small and not what I expect from a 4 star hotel and at app 235 per night. The bed was not good, and the cheapest pillows I experienced in a Hotel like this.
I booked a single room; however, as a gold member I often (most of the time) get complimentary upgrade (only for a cost which I refused). This time, I didn't, the front desk said that only Platinum member receives upgrade to a larger room. I didn't realize of that rule before and for the first time I felt disappointed. Anyway, back to the merit, the room is extremely small and the bathroom is not a dry bathroom. Breakfast was good though maybe a bit of variations would be good.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a few minutes walk to anywhere. Breakfast, if not included in the room rate, is offered at (an in my opinion high) price of 25 euro p.P. p.N. There are many situations in the hotel where design takes an absolute forefront to usability, such as extremely low faucets in the bathroom and a shower that can get the entire bathroom floor wet. Room view was non-existent (some kind of inner courtyard). The lobby was clean and pleasant. The hallways give the impression that serious maintenance needs to be done. The hallway had dirty carpets, severely scuffed walls, and room number signs on the floor, all of which in combination with the "look" of the doors made the place feel fairly cheap on first glance. The room itself was clean and pleasant. Toiletries offered were the secured-to-wall-bottle type instead of those small individual bottles which could serve a traveller later on a trip. The quality of these toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner) was high (MALIN+GOETZ). No other toiletries (maybe a toothbrush or toothpaste) were in the room at check-in. A laptop size safe was present. The staff was nice and helpful in providing tourist information. WiFi was free and of reasonable speed (10 Mbps down/up).
Nice hotel, I loved the entrance! The check In was ok. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean, and had all the needs. Only thing was Bathrooms were a bit small. Overall, I think we had a great time in Helsinki!
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Great stuff ( especially late night receptionist is a great example of a confident knowledgeable happy to help individual). Breakfast organized in a nice manner. All was great in the room apart from the tap/faucet issue. Not a big problem but there is just not enough room in between faucet and actual sink just simply to comfortably wash hands. Second time staying at this hotel was as pleasant. It's a hidden gem in Helsinki centre. If you are tired of major hotel chains in Finland hotel Klaus would be the right choice to experience true Finnish hospitality with a bit of local flavour in food and decor.
For a couple of nights it's good, but for the next time, the room is very small, and the hotel itself is a bit old. In this budget, there are better options.
Our room (over 200e / night) was so hot in March that we had to sleep all the windows open. The bathroom floor was so hot that it burned our feet. We complained but the staff did not take us very seriously first. Finally the maintenance turned off the heat in the bathroom which cooled down the bedroom as well so we were actually able to sleep the 2nd night.
Pillows were also very flat.
The breakfast was very good. Lots of fresh food. I highly recommend the breakfast. The chia seed pudding (in the picture) was the best I have ever had.
The location of the hotel is very good. Lots of restaurants nearby and the railway station is about 10 min walk.
We had our wedding ceremony here on the rooftop and stayed a couple days. The hotel is amazing, location is amazing, the staff is amazing and the venue was gorgeous! The breakfast is good too, better than usual. This is now my favorite hotel in Helsinki!
Great location walk able from all the sites. Friendly staff with a great breakfast buffet. The rooms are nice and very Nordic feeling if you get one of their newer rooms. The property is clean and is a good value for money. I would totally recommend this hotel.
Excellent service from staff. Personable and helpful. King room was spacious and we'll laid out. Nice gym although somewhat tight space. Need more room for stretching in gym.
Lovely helpful staff and wonderful breakfast. All fresh, delicious and labelled with the source including the where the farm in Finland is and what's it called!
Super cool Hotel in Helsinki. Stayed there probably more than 100 times. My new favorite room is the sky loft with a egg shaped bed. take a look at the pictures. All sky loft rooms feature high-quality mattresses, TV, safe, minibar, bathrobes, slippers, and more e.g. a coffee maker, a kettle and a selection of coffee and tea. As a Sky Loft guest you have also access to the Sky Terrace on the 7th floor with an amazing view over the rooftops of Helsinki. For sure will be back again soon ...
Ok, but small room an extremely small bathroom. The service was pretty poor with an arrogant receptionist. Nice breakfast and service there. I would probably choose another hotel next time I m on a business trip.
