The room was nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and valued highly that you offer also some traditional Finnish food. The service at the Reception desk was friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is excellent.

I ve noticed some disco-like sounds I can hear in the room at night. I went to the reception and explained my room is very noisy. Then I was informed that there is a party ongoing underneath of my room which will last till 1am!! I only found out at 10pm because I asked at the reception!!! If I knew in advance, I wouldn t have chosen this hotel!! There is absolutely no other room available so I have to just be patient until the super noisy party is over. This trip was my first, treat-myself trip since I became mother 6 years ago. My baby son was ill for last 4 days so I hardly slept for last 4 days. I am here, finally to treat myself and have good rest and this hotel totally ruined it. Absolutely nightmare to be here.
I totally enjoyed my 2 week stay at your hotel. The service staff was impeccable in all ways. t The chef was a gem!!! The food was extraordinary. I will be back as my son and family live there.
Tiny room, no service, no suna. So it's not a hotel to be in Finland. Many many restrictions and constraints. I will never stay here again. Sorry guys but it's add up of all the things.
Everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. Was upgraded to a better room at checking; didn t even ask, and the staff was first rate. The room was large by ant standard, but much more so by typical Nordic standards. It was well located and very quiet: I had a courtyard room. Having access to the rooftop terrace was a treat I wasn t expecting. The next time I m in Helsinki I won t hesitate to book a room here.
My only suggestion would be to have a better check in system for breakfast. I didn t have breakfast included but when I ate one morning with a colleague there was no one to seat us so we sat ourselves. While it s a well appointed buffet, no server ever checked to see if we would like a special coffee (extra charge). When checking out I let the desk know I wasn t charged and had them add it to the bill, but many in the same situation might not.
This hotel is right in the heart of Helsinki, 2 minutes from the Esplanadi, an easy walk to the market square or to the train station. Despite the location our room was very quiet as long as we kept the windows closed. The room was quirky (this IS a design hotel) but comfortable and quite large. Breakfast was great, a mixture of Finnish and international dishes including excellent fresh bread, cheesecake and several varieties of fish. And good coffee. This place served as a great base for long weekend exploring Helsinki!
Envy King room was at least very lovely. A large bright room with everything you needed. I noticed that the customer had been thought and had the necessary stuff in place without the request (dressing gowns, slippers, hair dryers, jets, shampoos and conditioners, fats for the body, etc.) The bed was big and very comfortable, maybe I slept the best dreams of my life in it. Two small bottles of red wine with glasses were still waiting for us on behalf of the house, and it was a good thing. It is annoying that we didn't buy the same wine. It was really good. The location of the hotel is very good in the center of the city. There is still a wheel in front of the hotel. The only downside is that it is almost useless to go to this hotel with your own car.
The climate was missing from the room and sleeping was a pain. You would think that in the current hotels in Finland would be all air-conditioned, as there is at least so far but in your hotel, at least in our room it was not there. I'm really disappointed that I paid a large sum on such a seemingly nice hotel and good room. In addition, breakfast supply was rather limited.
Customer service was excellent, our wishes according to room were delivered, cleaning was spot on, breakfast was superb. Only minus about breakfast was that there was no bacon for my husband, who can't live without it. Otherwise, perfect stay!
Great location, clean room, modern design, friendly staffs when checking-in. However, during early morning check out, I found there was only one single staff was handling all the guests who are having similar flight time and thus, causing delay.
Very nice looking hotel in a good location with nice breakfast. No climate control. No assistance from staff who could not be bothered.
We were the only ones at the counter and checked in with a lot of luggage and three staff available. We were not offered help with our luggage, despite it being me and my somewhat small wife, but instead were just pointed to the elevators. The room was perhaps the smallest room I have ever stayed in, even compared to NYC rooms, and we could not open even our carry-on clamshell luggage unless it was on the bed. This, strangely, worked in our favor.
The air conditioning would not turn on despite turning the thermostat to its lowest temperature. I called the front desk and was told 'maintenance is not here because it is the weekend, and besides, it is quite late, anyhow.' How does a higher-end hotel not have maintenance on the weekend or when 'it is quite late?'
No matter, someone came to the room and said she could not figure out why it was not working and offered us a fan. My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and is rather sensitive to the heat, so this really was not much of a consolation since one expects a hotel from a major hotel chain to have AC, especially when the rooms are advertised as air-conditioned. I called starwood, who then called the hotel and spoke to the MoD. The MoD informed them, and then me, that the hotel has AC, but the rooms are controlled centrally and it was just rather warm (80F) so it was not working correctly. They said they had a last-minute cancellation and offered me another, larger room, but that room was hotter than the small one.
Why would a hotel put a thermostat in rooms when these thermostats do not control anything? Additionally, why would the staff not know this? How does a major hotel not have maintenance on weekends? How is a hotel not prepared for 80F? That is akin to a major hotel in Miami telling its guests that is does not have heat and they will just have to suffer because 'it usually does not get this cold in Miami.'
Location excellent Service very friendly Breakfast just ok Radiators in my room 701 was not working but the hotel staff quickly sent two heaters to warm up my room... I found the hotel had a very creative and open minded to sell Tom from Finland as souvenirs...Me and my friend bought many of these
I love the Klaus K. It is a wonderful place to stay and the staff are amazing. I stay often as I frequent Helsinki for work and each stay has been great. Can't go wrong at this hotel.
Room was nicely appointed, breakfast was good, and staff were very helpful and courteous. The best thing might have been the sleeping--the room stayed quiet and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was the closet. It was just not enough space to keep all of the clothes and shoes I needed for a week working in Helsinki
The food was very good and the staff nice. But I was really disappointed by the "Movie Room" and the air-conditionning blowing the air directly on your face during the night.
I was upgraded my colleague was not. My colleagues room was so small i could reach 2 walls at once. My "Upgrade" was not much better. body hair all over the bed and the WC smelled like a port-o-potty
Excellent Hotel centrally located in Helsinki, very clean, great service, terrific breakfast. I would certainly recommend the Klaus K to friends and family in the future.
Really had a lovely time. Very functional and fun room, good internet access, busy Italian restaurant on site and lovely helpful staff. Probably one of the best breakfasts in the EU, much of it homemade and all yummy. Location is central on a pretty street right near the major boulevard.
Very interesting hotel with unique beautifully designed rooms. Breakfast was excellent. Location is perfect for a Helsinki visit and its close to the central relation station. Staff was very pleasant and helpful for any inquiry I had.
Great Design Hotel - even though on some spots age does show and the fitness room is a little bit out of shape. The perfect part: Awesome breakfast which made this a definite 5 star review!
The restaurant's breakfast was excellent and the service was good overall, but otherwise the hotel was a bit shabby basic. At the end of the bed was a bar with the previous occupants' handprints - it would have been a good idea for the cleaner to have swept the handprints off the broom when cleaning the room.
Comfortable hotel with personal rooms. The quality of the service is generally good and it is nice to do a mini vacation here with the exception of yesterday's holiday when the room did not respond. However, the staff was disappointed with a little rescue. The location is great.
This is a very stylish hotell, nice rooms and good food. Meeting rooms are also nice for small groups and service provided was excellent. Gym was well stocked, but a little small and quite warm.
Downside: one in our group got a pretty bad room, but there was no way to change it and she therefore had a lesser experience than the rest of us.
good gym access to decent italian restaurant room ok nothing fancy very good wifi movie room claustrophic with no windows good service i wouldn't call it a design hotel
I booked a room here months in advance assuming that it would be ready by the time I showed up at the hotel. Check-in was at 3, I arrived at 2:55. The room was not ready (which in itself is a problem) and I was told it would be 10 minutes. Well I just go into the room....30 minutes later. The bigger problem is, we received no updates from the staff even though we were sitting in the lobby right in front of them. We had to actually go to the counter and ask what is going on with our room before they bothered to let us check in. This is not something you want to deal with after you have been flying for the last 12 hours. Unacceptable customer service!
Hey Nice hotel and good location. There could have been some rod in our room or bathroom that could have dried the towels, now they had to come up with a lot of different places. Sincerely, Leena Carelse
Loved the hotel from the moment I was greeted at the reception desk. Courteous staff made our stay amazing. Our room was fantastic. Will always want to stay here during any future trips.
No coffee machine in the room, that's really disappointing.room is average size if not small.decoration is good and you can rent for free a bike up to 3 hours.overall expensive hotel that do not deliver the expected service.staff is really helpful while breakfast is pretty basic.
Passion's double room was very small. I've never stayed in such a small room in Finland! Lack of idea storage, general area, armchair photography tucked into a little corner, night lamp on only one side of the bed, bath room with no landing space. Yes, clean, room and bath. The window showed a stark patio, which alone would not have caused the problem. The front view of the hotel was quite different; the room was by no means worth a 4 star! Good food and service at the restaurant.
Located in the center of Helsinki in a quite boulevard. Walking distance to all major tourist spots. Clean rooms though a bit cramped. Draping need a change
Excellent hotel right in the center of Helsinki, next to the train station, the harbor and the big shops. Breakfast with an imposing choice. Nice place.
Very nice and trendy hotel, but not good at all for business travel - very small rooms with no desks, and almost no space at all for sitting and meeting with colleagues.
Everything about our stay was perfect. Every little detail was thought through, from the incredible room, most confortable beds, quality tea and coffee in room plus the level of service we received was exceptional! We had some problems with the fuse in our room cutting power to the power points and both times we notified reception it was fixed within 10 minutes. Absolutely incredible. The location is perfect and even the breakfast buffet is perfectly thought through and balanced. We loved that everything was local and appreciated that every part of the hotel was clean and well maintained. We will certainly be recommending this beautiful hotel to friends and family coming to Helsinki and we hope to visit again some day! Thank you to klaus k for making the beginning of our honeymoon so incredibly special!
Dinner was quite good and spectacularly served in the room. There was no other good thing about our stay. The room was shabby and stripped. We came to celebrate birthdays but unfortunately the room / service did not make us feel festive . Breakfast was a substandard takeaway stall with cold bread, juice, and sweet pudding. Not even close to the luxury advertised by the hotel. Frustration.
1. Although a door to find the space a little small, but the location and plug the small table beside the bed up for the lack of space. 2. Free fast wifi! Comfortable and sanitary equipment Iron provides traveler needs. 3. A large and varied breakfast, went to the department stores and boutiques around quite easy. 4. There is a romantic night light ^^
