Bought a ex-demo KIA, which had done about 800km. The day I put a deposit on the car it was not in the yard. It was Saturday and I was told that the service manager had taken it home. On paying the deposit, I asked the sales person if any damage in the car would be fixed and she confirmed that they would.
Came to pick the car up a week later and there was damage on the plastic lining in the boot and paint scratches. When I spoke to the Sales Manager, his words were: What do you expect, it is an ex-demo and the car was being sold as is.
The Sales person spoke to the Service Manager and asked him if the damage could be fixed and he said the same words as the Sales Manager. I asked to see the Service Manager and he did not come out to see me. He went around the back instead and looked at the car then advised the sales person that he will get is fixed. The contract was signed with notes on it to that effect.
The service manager told the sales person the he will put an order through for the parts and it should be there in a week.
Two weeks went by and I did not receive a call from the service department. Upon inquiring I was told that the parts would be in and when I dropped the car for the first service, it would be replaced.
Upon booking the service, I clearly stipulated what was required and also provided reception with a copy of the contract stating the repairs that needed to be done.
I inspected the car when I picked it up and the plastic lining was replaced with one taken out from another second hand car in the yard. Paint scratches were not fixed.
The service manager said that he had replaced the lining and when I told him about the paint scratches, he said that the person that comes in to do the scratches needs to be booked in advance and that he had not seen the copy of the contract that I had left with them. After looking at the contract, he said that the part will be ordered and I will get a call once it arrives. A week later I called back and was told that it was on back order. Now it is over 3 weeks since the service and no call from the service department. It is over 3 mths since I bought the car and am still waiting for the matter to be sorted.
This is my second car that I have bought from Heartland and this has been the worst service I have encountered anywhere. From the Sales Manager to the Service Manager. The Salesperson (Lauren) was helpful.
My family has since bought another brand new Kia but we have kept away from Heartland KIA after this experience.
I am contemplating taking the matter to the Department of Fair Trading.

Its time Kia get a new dealer in Gympie! Action Auto Group or more known as NoAction are terrible to deal with! We brought 3 Kia Vehicles at one time and they now don't keep their promises and are very poor at getting any warranty work done... VERY DISAPPOINTED... Kia make such a excellent vehicle but its reputations is destroyed by its dealers... one only has to look around the Gympie region and see Kia is losing sales.

Customer "service" representative was too busy and couldn't "drop everything" to make a phone call to the local dealer to get the VIN number of my car (it's in the service manual which I don't have) and without that couldn't initiate an answer for my enquiry. I agree with others - unbelievably rude and aggressive.

Service is terrible. 2016 I bought a new Kia Carnival from Newcastle City Kia.
Don't be fooled by the 7 year unlimited km warranty. After 1 year the automatic sliding door wouldn't close. Took 2 years of them saying it was ok to then agree to fix it under warranty. The day before they fixed it the radio/sat nav all died. Waiting on parts to get it fixed. They don't return calls so who knows when that will be.
Service is also expensive - last service was $1000. They also try to upsell and add a few $60 gimmick something or others to each service.
Avoid Kia, you should spend the money and buy a Toyota.

Maugham Them are a nightmare even when you pay cash. KIA Australia does not care I have bought 2 KIA's cash never again will I. Also we find their constant SMS promotions upsetting due to how bad our purchase was but don't care and won't stop sending them. Their are other cars out thankfully !

I am a Carnival owner, I really like the car but there is a.big disadvantage, it is a FWD, the front wheels spin in rain all the time, I feel very unsafe to put my family in this car. If Kis launch a AWD model Carnival in the new Gen, the car will be Invincible.

My Kia Sportage GT Line is in smash repair waiting for driver side headlight for almost 3 weeks. It is absolutely ridiculous. They don't have any idea when this part will arrive and no way of tracking their OVR order. Just thinking what is even the point of having 7 years of warranty when Kia not able to provide parts. I wish bought a different car. Won't do it again.

ATTENTION KIA OWNERS. This is how Kia Australia puts some of its cars on the market. They register the car and drive it for a year without servicing it or filling out the log book. Then it goes to Auction where a Shoddy Dealer can get his hands on it. The Dealer then sells it to you as a Demo and puts your name in empty log book as First registered owner. You find this out a year later when you take it for service. Kia then enters False info into their computers and denies it owned it and blames Dealer. In my case Kia lied to me for 15 months blaming the Dealer before I uncovered their secret. This is 100% true and I have the car and evidence to prove it. Congratulations for buying a KIA!!!!!

I spoke to Kia customer service few times and they could never locate my car details. In fact they never were interested in car or owner s details once the car is sold. I rang Kia AU for my flat battery and all I got to hear is rude and careless response from their customer service representative. He frightened me with towing and can t do anything approach. In fact hanged up the phone twice. Well I sorted the problem myself with $12 jump start kit from kmart and people would figure out something without Kia s help in most cases. But for god sake you do expect a decent response from customer service when you spend $30k-$40k on a new car.

Kia carnival grand 2010 deisel engine failure at 33 000kms secondary to "slipped" timing belt. Perfect service record with Kia but outside 5 y warranty. Kia refusing to replace or repair their defective engine. Disgusted. Reasonable life expectancy of perfectly serviced engine IS NOT 33 000km!!!!!!!! NEVER BUY KIA. Their engines are rubbish.

BEWARE of KIA S 7 Year Exterior Paint Durability & Finish Warranty

Worst customer service that I ve ever experienced, seems that KIA Australia customer relations staff need to be re-educated, they should learn to deescalate issues, not make them worse.

I recently reported to KIA Australia that the paint work had deteriorated, but only to a section of the roof on my 2016 Picanto, expecting that it would be covered by the 7 Year Exterior Paint Durability & Finish Warranty. So I was surprised and shocked to be told by KIA Australia that the claim was declined, because it had been determined that this was not a product defect or fault, but caused by external influences.

Obvious questions,
1. How was the decision determined? Since only photos were provided, no official inspection by a real expert.
2. What external influences? Rain, wind friction, sun, temperature (hot/cold), usual environmental external influences.
3. What is the point of the Warranty? If KIA are always going to decline a claim.
4. What does Paint Durability mean in the Warranty? I know what it means to me, the paint finish should last for at least 7 years.

According to the Australian Consumer Law, the consumer is entitled to have the goods repaired, if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.

KIA has been given the opportunity to respond to my questions and concerns, but no explanations, just a fob-off NO.

KIA s 7 Year Exterior Paint Durability & Finish Warranty is a false and misleading claim, KIA will always decline a claim, since external influence will always be blamed, so what s the point of this 7 Year Durability Warranty?

In my opinion, if you re intending to purchase a KIA vehicle, reconsider and DON T do it, especially if you really want a real warranty, one that will be honoured if needed.

I love my Kia Cerato but i do not like your service centre at Parramatta Motor Group. They are just charging for the service but did not resolve the 2 issues i had, which was with the Android Auto and the air con. Your car is good but you are let down by your service people. If you are proud of your brand, you should look into all these complaints.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!
DO NOT BUY KIA - YOU WILL FOREVER HAVE ISSUES AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO HELP FIX THEM.
Your Customer Service! WOW! Talk about defensive, abusive and down right pathetic. Your patience and willingness to listen to concerns is non-existent. In this uncertain time we are living in you would think you would be trying to assure & support customers but instead you argue & provoke. I doubt you will be able to survive in this environment. ONCE AGAIN, I IMPLORE YOU NOT TO BUY KIA.

I can't believe the Optima GT top of the range does not have the smart parking assist (spas) system or the 360 view..
when they have it overseas, apparently it's even not an option here in Australia.

Purchased a NEW KIA Sportage GT top of the range to use for work. It was ordered with a tow bar as i tow a trailer 2-3 days a week for work. Upon picking up the car I was told there was a delay with the tow bar. The truth is KIA haven't produced one for the car yet and can not tell me when it will be available. This is causing me huge headaches and I as a result loading stuff inside the car that is destroying the interior (building materials etc). I have contacted customer service multiple times as they could care less, offering zero assistance. Before buying I was told KIA had the best customer service in the industry, that total BS. Once the sale is done they couldn't care less. A shame i cant post zero stars as a rating.
