Simon and his team did a great job fitting some new windows at my girlfriend's apartment in Ware. The property was Grade II Listed so they needed to be "like for like" timber framed windows of a certain style and alot of companies drew a blank when we asked. In contrast, Simon could not have been more helpful, sourced a really good product from his many contacts and gave us a great price. The fitting went very smoothly and they cleared up and took away the old windows. I would highly recommend The Open Window Company!

I had an outdated front door with a broken lock that was in desperate need of replacement. Simon came over to discuss the options available. He then came back with his fitters to do a site survey, as part of the job involved knocking down a wall and replacing flooring, so it wasn t completely straightforward. On the day of the installation, the fitters arrived early, and worked non-stop until the front of my house was completely transformed! I am now the owner of a modern, contemporary front door, and I love it!!

As our wooden Georgian pane windows were over 40 years old and unable to resist heavy rain and gales anymore, we decided to replace all 16 windows, including 3 bay windows, plus a back door and the French Windows all in one daunting project. We wanted a company that was local, small enough to care and provide technical advice about suppliers, a good eye for aesthetics and good project management. A web search identified the Open Window Company as having an elegant, clear website so Simon was asked to do a survey and provide a quotation and immediately impressed us with his expertise and we accepted his competitive quotation.
We have been fortunate in our choice! Simon, Glen and Josh on site, and Shelley in admin, have delivered a super result for us on time and on budget. As it was just after the corvid-19 lockdown, the manufacturer was having some despatch errors, but Simon and the team identified these and reordered the components before we were even aware there was an issue. The Open Window team were very proactive on our behalf to achieve a perfect end result and we enjoyed their conversation and their standard of care in protecting carpets and cleaning up. Great service from start to finish from everyone I dealt with. We had a triple Velux window put in, which looks amazing. Being an old house there were some unexpected elements, but these were all handled with no fuss. Experience and level of work was so great we have booked them in to change all our windows.

Living in a Grade II listed property built around 1690 has a number of challenges not least what to do with the draughty windows! In the end it was easy, Simon came over had a chat about my options and measured up. Once we were all happy with the style and quote his team came over and fitted all of the secondary double glazing units in less than a day. They were polite, tidy and efficient.
The new secondary glazing has made a huge difference to my little cottage not only is it warmer but it is also much quieter.
I would whole heartily recommend the Open Window Company to anyone who is in need to new windows or secondary glazing especially for properties with special needs such as mine! The windows and service have been fantastic. I only wish I had had it done sooner.

Team were very good, the job was converting a window to a rear door for a disabled relative, the team made my Nan feel very comfortable, they chatted to her while working away and then even repaired some other parts of the wall for her as a good will gesture.
