Brought out the inner space nerd in me. Everything is awesome. Word of advice, do the bus tour asap
This made us all want to go to space! Such a fun day for all ages!
I liked the bus tour, but just about every attraction- there was a video after video after video. After awhile, I started to get severely bored with having to watch so many videos of the same thing.
My daughter is severely autistic and because she was unable to wear her mask we were told she could not come even if we were staying away from everyone. Truly sad to see how a child with a disability was treated. Never again.
We got to see a SpaceX launch too!
The bus tour had a 1 hour wait time, but this was high because of it being a launch day.
I'm personally not big into museums, but this was great! Lots of guided parts, fantastic experiences and the bus tour. All included with regular admission.
Clean and no lines due to Corona virus. Good for one day trip for the kids.
Excellent place, book almost all day to do all the attractions
An excellent experience if you are a fan of space exploration
Felt pretty empty due to coronavirus. Many things were closed. Still worth going if you have small kids interested in space.
I liked it but my expectation was to find much more
Always an incredible place to visit. The Atlantis pavilion is great!
Amazing what the NASA staff and engineers had to do.
LOTS of walking thought I could make do with just my cane but really should have rented a scooter or used a wheel chair. Make sure you go EARLY an I recommend paying the extra $ for the 2 hour bus your.
First off, it s not cheap. $230 for two adults and two kids. ($57 for adults, $47 for kids, plus Tax). There are self pay kiosks at the entrance. There were like 8 or 9 of them, some were closed due to covid social distancing requirements, which is understandable. But all the rest except two were broken. Not off to a good start here.
Everything was geared towards kids, there s not much for adults to enjoy here. The movies, the exhibits, everything was children oriented. However, my kids did have lots of fun at the indoor playground (children s play dome).
At the journey to Mars exhibit, there were 4 or 5 computer stations where kids could take their selfies photoshopped into an astronaut costume and email it as a post card. A couple of them had defective keyboards so no email could be typed in, and the ones that did have functional keyboards had no internet connection...
They have some equipment on display there, but most are low quality replicas, and they feel like low quality replicas.
Lots of restaurants and some buildings were closed due to covid. The heroes and legends experience was supposed to be 3D, but they won t hand out glasses, again due to covid. I m all for safety, but surely there are ways to sanitize glasses. IMAX theater does it..
I ve also been to Houston NASA before, that one was a much better experience all around.
One thing that stood out to me was; everyone we interacted was so friendly and so helpful, it was actually surprising. Everyone, like literally every employee we talked to was very sweet!
October is a great time to visit with smaller crowds and great temperatures!
The rocket launch we went to was amazing. Good service, nice park and overall an amazing experience
Great facility and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The place was very well kept and ran very smoothly. Most of the attractions did not have a long wait even in peak times and restaurants had a good selection. We enjoyed the park opening early for launches and accommodating the early crowds. Bus tour guides were friendly and welcoming. Each souvenir shop have similar items but there are a few items select to each one, so you should make sure to visit each. 3D/4D and IMAX shows were very nice, but seating can get crowded, so be sure to be a little early to ensure your group can sit together. Lots of opportunities for amateur photos and they have professional photos ops too. Very handicap and child friendly.
This place gives you the best insight in American Space Travel. There's a lot of history present and the crew members are always able to answer your questions about anything, whether that's landing on the Moon or the surface of Mars or anything else. If you decide to take the buss tour, which I highly recommend, make sure you sit on the right side (looking from the back). This will ensure good visibility of all the big NASA buildings and perfect photo ops, except for the SpaceX facility. Also, the food here is pretty good. Overall enjoyed every little bit of the park!
Amazing experience! Went on the day of the launch of the perseverance mars rover and it was great. There is so much to see and learn about space exploration and history. Great for the whole family. I really liked that they gave free return tickets for next year. Some stuff was closed but honestly there is so much to do that we couldn't even do it all in one day so I am glad we get to come back. There is lots of scheduled events throughout the day.
Absolutely terrible experience. Horrible crowd control, rude staff, and very confusing overall. When we got in it was very confusing as to what we should do. We eventually had to stand in a line for 45 minutes to stand and watch a film. After that we went to the Orbit Cafe where I got a burnt peice of pizza, I went up to an employee and asked for another peice. He gave me ANOTHER burnt peice of pizza and said "sorry do you want a cookie?". Another horrible part to this place is that they have absolutely terrible crowd control and not enough bathrooms. We had to wait in line for the busses for an hour which was insane because we were here on a rainy Wednesday. I cannot imagine how terrible it is on a weekend. There was a line for the bathroom outside of the doors because there are only 3 stalls per 100 people! Absolutely ridiculous. They can build a rocket but not more bathrooms. C'mon.
Unbelievable experience, Must do meet the Astronauts for lunch
What a wonderful and inspiring place! Highly recommended to come here with kids or without. We spend a whole day and didn't even see everything. It's so interesting. We had the opportunity to meet Barbara Morgan as the Astronaut of the Day. Even not being American or Space-Fans, it was a special moment. :-)
Where to begin. Food is ok, good if you are selective. There is a lot to do for kids of all ages. STEM driven so younger ones can get bored. More activities than in years past...but could use rides and physical activities to burn energy. All in all a good day out.
It is a place with a lot of information about everything that we cannot see outside of the earth, and especially the experiences of each person involved in astronaut
You will need to experience it all to enjoy it! Great history!
SpaceX launch was awesome!
So much stuff to see that I wish to return. We only had a short time after driving all night to see the launch. It has completely changed since our last visit which was free admission. Cost about $200 for family of 4.
Cafe has healthy food choices.
Great experience. But kids tickets are pretty expensive. They should be from $47+ taxes to at least $20-$25, would be fair price.
Very educational and informational. Mile stone of American aeronautical history and success. Very impressive. Clean and organized. Something for everyone.
Thanks for all the hard working people and the management for having such a great team.
Amazing place to spend the day. Do the bus tour out to the launch pads and don't miss the Atlantis presentation. Caution though...lots of walking and standing.
This place is amazing - so much science, technology and history around those launch pads. The KSC guided tour is highly recommended. We got to see the VAB, pads 39A and 39B, in addition to all of the other exciting stuff. Pity we didn't have more time to spend.
I never thought I'd know him
By mistake I was close
Obviously I saw light and entered
Don't remember price being that high. Worked on Saturn V. Won't be back.
Very good. The line to get on the bus for a tour is like 30min. Atlantis and Saturn V are must see.
We were there on what they estimated to be the busiest day of the year, and we should've turned around the minute we . Very aggravating atmosphere the moment we entered, with loud blaring Christmas music, exhausted employees who seemed as hopeless as most of the visitors, a five hour wait for the bus tour (and for another tour option, a flat out refusal because it'd be dark by the time they'd be able to leave), and everything that had no wait required some upcharge or pre-booking. Incredibly disappointed at how commercialized it all was. The "must see" shuttle experience was too long of a chaotic wait (a huge mass of people waiting to get, apparently, into another hall?) and most folks seemed to have no idea what they were even waiting for. It was like being in a large international hub airport when there's fog on the ground - no one knows what's going on or has any hope of getting out anytime soon. We 100% regret going, though it could possibly have been a decent experience with about 60% less people.
Avoid Christmas Break at all costs! Go to the Museum of Air and Space in DC or the Air Force Museum in Dayton OH instead (for free), or look at all the things online available from NASA and the Jet Propulsion Lab online. The bits we did enjoy were two speakers discussing -wait for it- info available there. #facepalm. We could have spent that time on the beach or exploring the natural beauty of Merritt Island or just being somewhere that didn't raise your BP 40 points. Ugh, such a bummer NASA!
Parking $ 10. Day ticket $ 57. A great experience. At least 6 hours should be allowed. Exciting, entertaining and educational.
The best activity to do in Orlando !! Without a doubt it is worth knowing. They will be able to know part of the history of the space race, and even touch a moonstone.
Went back before our passes expired. Bummed that didn't have the bus tour running and that they postponed the launch till tomorrow, especially since it was the last one. But still is interesting place.
Sensational, organized, and very encouraging child dedication
Definitely worth the trip! I left dreaming I was an astronaut. Definitely learned a lot, and was entertained the whole time.
Absolutely essential in a visit to Florida if you are interested in space. And if you try to go on a launching day, maximum success. On its website there is a calendar of launches.
I loved NASA at Kennedy space center. Spending a day with family there will leave you memories
Welcome to the Space Coast! The Kennedy Space Center is a unique museum focusing on space exploration and commemorating NASA's history and achievements. If you are looking to join the Space Force then why not start here by immersing yourself in space awesomeness?
Parking costs about $10 and entry into the center is about $50 per person. It is pretty expensive, but is worth the money if you have never been before. Many of the exhibits are kid friendly and aims not only at perking their curiosity, but yours as well.
My favorite exhibits are Atlantis and taking the shuttle to get you to Cape Canaveral to see the Apollo and Saturn V exhibits. Aside from this, catching the IMAX shows are always inspirational and have such wonderful cinematography to match. I typically spend a good 4-5 hours here, but you can spend much longer especially if you go through all of their other exhibits.
Was a great experience but very dissapointed in the amount of benches for people to rest on for the money you spend hardly any!!!!!!!!
Great shows and awesome presentation of all of the space programs history.
Excellent place to learn about the history of the space age
A must-have place for technology fans! It is worth coming in the morning to see everything before closing time.
Awesome history, great job displaying so much information. Even young children can appreciate how amazing it all is. I miss the bus tour, hope they bring that back soon
Visited November 2013. If you're on a Florida road trip, NASA's Kennedy Space Center should definitely be on your to-do list. Really complex interesting exhibition. History is experienced here! Best in the morning! It was a rainy day, but the entire visitor area is covered. We even saw some alligators along the way during the bus ride from the entrance to the tourist center. Even more, like in the Everglades! There is a lot to see and discover. You can only see a fraction of what we saw from the photos and videos. What is special is the small piece of moon rock that my wife and I touch in a picture. The crawling through the transparent glass tube was exciting for me at the time. The differences in size of the lunar vehicles and the rockets are interesting. As a human being you are really tiny. This can also be seen on some pictures and videos. Definitely recommendable! We liked it!
I would give it a 4.2, it is a very interesting place, unfortunately several of the presentations and tours were closed due to the pandemic, also some presentations are in closed theaters in which people could eat while taking off their masks during the entire presentation, without any problem and without the statutory 6 foot clearance, so my reasons for not giving it a 5 have more to do with current circumstances as we were disappointed by the lack of some exhibits.
Absolutely wonderful place that you will gladly return to. Probably appeals to all tech nerds.
Confusing, not enough staff and the IMAX was closed without any notices. Food concession was very good.
The most incredible place to visit in FL. Would 100% recommend a visit over visiting Universal.
Visited this in August 2018. Although expensive, if you re into space, this was extremely cool. I enjoyed the large building where the rockets were built, waking on the ramp that lead Neil Armstrong to the Apollo 11 shuttle, seeing the different sites where famous rockets were launched, seeing an actual space shuttle (massive), touching a moon rock, and seeing the full rocket at the end (pictures included). Going here was a dream of mine, and seeing it fulfilled that dream.
Fantastic live presentation by Ken in Journey to Mars. Brilliant marketing by NASA to inspire young children and young people to catch a vision for multi- disciplinary participation in space exploration.
The Atlantis exhibit really got me in the feels which I was not expecting. Unfortunately, in Dec 2020 the bus tour and some exhibits were not open.
Lack of KSC staff enforcing physical distancing in lines for IMAX and other exhibits.
An absolute must-go if you are anywhere around Florida. This is the place the history was and still is being made. Amazing place to see first hand where some of the most epic moments of 20th century took place, including the famous Apollo launches. There is something for the kids, there is something for adults - both casuals and space freaks like myself. Make sure to take the bus tour and visit Saturn V center and see the Shuttle Atlantis. My only recommendation/improvement suggestion: more high quality items in the gift shops. Otherwise it would be really hard to find something to complain about.
Coming in to the Kennedy space ctr, the traffic was horrible, it took too long to get to parking area, the the bus tour lines were extremely long. Didn't get a chance to do the bus tour.
Good displays and learning opportunities, but almost too much like the other Orlando theme parks.
Amazing place to visit with your family. Very friendly staff. You need at least one FULL day here, but to see everything to definitely need two days.
The venue itself very clean and huge! Wish we would have done a two day pass because we didn't make it through everything in one day. My 4 year old and 9 year old had a lot more fun than the expected, as well as my husband and I. Most (not all!) of the employees just seemed to be doing their job instead of doing something they enjoyed. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
A place worth visiting. The history of the conquest of space is beautifully shown.
A great combination of the historical past and the hopeful future. Take the family.
You need a good two days to see everything! It's an amazing place to visit! Can't wait to go back next year when hopefully everything will be open again!
Mmm you can't ask for a great place for a LOT of history
Discover Kennedy Space Center! Learn the history of our space programs from early rocket development, to our Apollo moon trips and the Shuttle missions. Visit the Heros and Legends building to learn about the men and women with the right stuff who made it all happen. See the rockets on display in the Rocket Garden. Download the phone app for additional info and maps. We enjoyed a long day here and still didn t see it all. $$
Great history of humans greatest technological achievements!
Fantastic famous place everyone need to see. It's amazing unforgetable experience
It was FANTASTIC! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
We LOVE going! It s always so fun and so educational. We ve been multiple times and are now annual pass holders. Can t wait to see our first launch and love the benefits of the pass!
Cool place to check out
However
Be ready to be nickel and dimed for everything including parking despite a ~$50/ person entrance fee. I felt like I was at a sleazy car dealer that adds fees at the end of the sale knowing you'll not have much of a choice
Parking isn't clearly with cost of entry on website. Yes parking fee is listed through clicking around their site, but it is nice when tourist attractions are upfront with their patrons
Five stars for the exhibits, Imax, bus tour and all items related to learning or viewing. Four stars for the poor food selection and long wait times (on what seemed to be a slow day). Probably only three stars for the super slow ticketing experience and gate entrance wait time (again, on a day where the parking lot seemed almost empty and crowds low). Back to the positives, the exhibits were all first class. And while the ticket prices seem a bit high, it does include all 3D Imax experiences. We were there for six hours and say both movies and 80% of the exhibits but was famished and feeling a bit physically bad by the time we left due to bad food with long lines. We saw others who had packed a snack, which is what we will do next time.
Very cool! Lots of stuff to see! Try to make it for a rocket launch!
Mind boggling to learn and see space engineering even from this far.
Well designed and maintained.
Some of the exhibits were closed though.
Plan whole day - if you can plan to watch a launch , that will be awesome.
seems like they are all gearing up to go to Mars
Great place. Will be back when the bus tour is back open.
