Very poor customer service. I made the effort to visit the store on a trip to NYC as I love the Kate Spade brand. Found a dress that I liked and wanted to wear for an event 2 days later. Asked the assistant to hold it for me while I popped across the street - came back 10 mins later to find that she had sold it to someone expressed an interest in it as well.
Their response " sorry but we have a store on Madison" - 60 blocks from where I was.
I left angry and put off from my purchase the other stuff I liked in the store. This is very poor customer service and an example that the store disregarded a customer request.
Won't be shopping there again.

Great flagship store. It is a beautiful layout and the merchandise is nice. I like their fragrances. They were having a friends and family sale which reduced my bill dramatically. I live near a much smaller Kate Spade store so it was fun to play in a larger one where I can try on clothes.

Brought a wallet in here to be fixed. The manager took my information and was friendly, I was told 4 to 6 weeks. 2 months go by and no email and no phone call. When I finally call the store a gentleman picked up (I believe the same one from the voice recording) and informed me oh they have been trying to reach me for weeks and they couldn't get a hold of me. That's funny, my phone number, address and email have been the same for at least 5 years, oh and yes the manager had me check my information before leaving the store when I completed my work order. Stick to buying Kate Spade at Nordstrom also remember it all goes on sale, no need to shop full price.

Cute designs but Kate Spade doesn't repair their bags anymore, it seems shortly after the founder's passing the corporate overlords swooped in and changed the policy so they won't stand behind their products any longer :( hopefully they reconsider the policy as my wife really likes their stuff!

My first time in New York and I was ecstatic to go to this store. My experience was everything I could ever imagined and more. The staff was incredible, personable and friendly especially Maggie. My time in that store was such a welcoming one I'll be sure to go back whenever I go back to New York. 5 stars simply isn't enough.

I work at a kate spade location, and I can tell you that the service here is phenomenal! This is the best store I have been in as a customer (not including the store I work at). The staff is great, and made me feel just as welcomed as any other customer. You could tell that they all really love their job and want to see customers happy.

I love this Kate Spade Store. They staff is so helpful - especially one of the store manager Kelsey. She is a ROCKSTAR. I had been contemplating a bag and had gone in a few times before putting down my credit card. Each time, she helped me, remembered me, never pressured me and made it a fabulous shopping experience. I have since purchased that bag and Kelsey helped check me out! A wonderful shopping experience.

I bought a new iPhone at the end of last year and bought the katespade phone case at bestbuy. But it cracked naturally in a few months, and the quality was too bad to withstand the sun. Recently, a whole piece has to fall, go to bestbuy to see if you can change, bestbuy said to find katespade, so I found katespade, then katespde actually kicked the ball and asked me to find incipio company. I believe that many people have bought a lot of katespade products like me, but I don't think I have encountered problems. They are dealing with this. The products with poor quality do not want to solve or even recall, but also deliberately arbitrarily deducted and embarrassed. I suggest you not trust the katespade brand in the future.

I had the worse experience at Kate spade 5 ave.
My dear husband bought me a bag, he paid half cash and the rest with his card, they never told him that if you pay cash and decide to return the item it takes two weeks, so I ended up not liking the bag I retuned it then they told me I will not be getting the cash that day they will mail the check, I was upset but I was like it is okay it will only take two weeks, come to find out I haven t received the check and it has been 6 weeks already, I called them couple times all they say is that they are processing the payment( from two weeks to six weeks )
It is really frustrating because 1st they didn t tell my husband when he was buying the bag that if he will be returning there is a two week wait, and then the whole process to take more then two weeks, they are not been open and transparent about the cash refund policy.
I will never shop at any Kate spade again.
Plus I haven t seen that check as I speak.
