Got off to a rocky start when our flight agent did...

Got off to a rocky start when our flight agent didn t email our new itinerary to Karmel so getting them to pick us up when we got to LAX didn t happen and the people we spoke with were very rude. We took an Uber which cost $80. We were scared that they wouldn t turn up the next time we had a transfer but they did and we got a very nice helpful lady. Then we used it again to go back to LAX and the guy we got was very nice. I would use them again.

When we arrived in California our first leg of the trip the driver was 1 hour late picking us up at the airport. The van was very dirty and the driver drove very fast and crazy. We made it to our destination. The second leg of our trip the driver was 1/2 hour early and seemed impatient when we were not ready. We had called Karmel and added 2 extra people to our private van, but they were staying at a different hotel than us. We happily payed the extra money. When I called the day before our departure to confirm our reservation with the company they said it was good and that we should be set to go. When I reminded our driver about our friends that would be riding with us that were at another hotel he said that it was not on the schedule. He called his boss at dispatch and asked him to check the reservation and there were no extra people on the screen he could see. The manager got very angry and started swearing while my family sat in the van and listened to the conversation on speaker phone. He then yelled and said that we would have to pay extra for the pick up of our friends. I explained to the driver that we had already been charged for the extra members of our party. We finally did get them picked up and got to the airport. When getting home and checking my account it shows that we were charged again. I would never use this company again in my life and I will tell everyone I know about how we were treated. I would recommend not using them if you have another option.

Should of wrote this last year,I took their trip to Catalina island came and picked me up at hotel and then they were their when I got off the Catalina express.And back to my hotel, they were excellent. The only think as I was a little worried ,but with traffic ,I just made the boat trip.I would recommend to everyone that do not have a car rental and want to go to Catalina for a day.This is the best way to go.

Paid Karmel $49.50 for trip from LAX to Seal Beach on December 19, 2016.
Paid the driver cash $60.00. He knew he was being overpaid yet he accepted the money from this trustful couple.
When we got our bill from our credit company, we realized that the trip had been paid by our credit card company.
Called Karmel about the double payment but no satisfaction so far. (March 6,2017)
Carmel needs to receive $49.50 from this dishonest driver. Then Karmel should credit our credit card company.

Upon arrival at LAX I contacted the shuttle company once off the plane. The shuttle took an hour to arrive. It was 11pm so the hour wait was extremely frustrating.
The driver was nice and did a good job with the drive to Anaheim.
For pick up, the driver arrived at the wrong time. He arrived via AM not PM.
They could not pick us up at the requested time and said we could request a refund since we had to pay $55 for a Lyft. It's been three weeks and they are refusing the refund.
I will not recommend to anyone and encourage people to use another service.

Terrible service. Booked well in advance for our trip. 1 airport pickup and 1 tour pickup. Reconfirmed pickups and still they couldnt manage to get it right. Twice they didnt pick us up. We were early waiting for them then when we finally called to ask where they were because they were so late. They told us that they had been and we werent there so just left. Which was a complete lie. We were there the whole time. Operators were also rude on the phone too. We had to arrange our own taxis for both trips. No refunds or anything. Do not book unless you want an unreliable service. What a joke.

We booked shuttle service as part of a Disneyland vacation. The trip from LAX to our hotel was frustrating. There was no communication about where to wait for the shuttle, and no clear signage at the airport. On the return trip to the airport, our driver was 40 minutes late picking us up. Our driver got lost, made a couple of illegal U-turns, and muttered to himself on the way to the airport. It was a stressful and frustrating experience, and I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.

Just got off the LAX shuttle pick up on van #447. Our driver picked us up promptly, stowed our bags for us and was SUPER personable! The shuttle van was spotless, and our ride to the hotel was quick and pleasant. We even shared a ride with some New Zealanders, who were lovely. All in all, a 5 star service. Shout out to the driver of van #447 from today at 3pm, thanks!

We waited 45 minutes for our shuttle to pick us up at the airport after receiving the text stating they were on their way. Granted our plane landed 15 minutes early so they were only technically 30 minutes late. Dispatch was really nice when we called to inquire where our shuttle was. The van was nice and smelt good so I wasn t to bothered. But the way back to the airport is terrible. Our driver was on time, but the van was a late 90 s early 2000 s ford van. It s shaky, and incredible noisy and skreechy. The seatbelts are sticky, it s messy and dirty inside and smells of PUKE! Also, she keeps rolling down the windows and has trash laying everywhere! I do not recommend this shuttle service, take your money elsewhere. They do use what they advertise their vans and the experience to be like.

Just used Karmel services for our transportation while in Los angeles for our cruise. We had Richard as our driver, I can say without a doubt this was the single greatest experience I have had with not just a shuttle service but in general!
Friendly, professional, great driver, and gave us tons of great advice on places to check out. I HIGHLY reccomend using them and if you decide to, Ask for Richard !

We had John as our driver, and not only did he show up exactly on time in a nice clean vehicle, but was very friendly as well. He loaded our bags for us and got us to LAX safely and with plenty of time to spare. I feel bad for the other reviewers that had negative experiences, because ours was flawless. Excellent bang for the buck.

We had a wonderful experience with Karmel shuttle coming from LAX on January 13 and returning there January 22nd. We d had 2 cancelled flights on our arrival day so plenty of itinerary changes but Karmel was very accommodating and understanding. Terrence was our driver on the 22nd and I didn t get the name of our first driver but both were excellent and friendly. I would highly recommend!

Friendly and timely, but the driver Al should probably seek help. Pretty wreckless and aggressive driving even for LAX traffic. He also went back to back driving and operating the music that he played music from his phone. Not to mention he sang to us for an hour. I know he meant well but it seemed that he didnt get the hint that we were all exhausted and just wanted to get there in peace.

This company is very disorganised, the staff members is very unfriendly and it feels they don't appreciate your business, when I tried to contact them for a confirmation or reschedule for a tour , their answer always like I have to check it for you or you call back later I can't help you now , talk to our customer service after an hour etc...

I will never use this company again and I suggest the business owner to review your company operational system and re train your staff !!!

I was second pick and last pick from the air port....

I was second pick and last pick from the air port. Only one other lady was in the van. I also was last drop off from the air port. My luggage was all packed on top of the other individuals luggage. I watched my driver as he unloaded the other individuals luggage. he just yanked out her luggage instead of moving mine and thus I watched my stroller fall. When we got dropped off, I realized my hook from the stroller was now missing, I assume it is stuck to the other individuals luggage as it was there when we grabbed our stroller from the airport (it was wrapped in a bag going thru airport). The driver did go out of his way to repurchase a hook, but the down side, he purchased the cheapest hooks he found which are only meant for keys not for hanging bags off a stroller. The replaced hooks are much smaller and now my insurance says they will not do anything for me. I am now stuck to repurchase new proper hooks out of my own pocket. I was not able to match them until i got back to the room, since the driver only dropped them off at the front lobby. When I got back to the room, is when I noticed the difference. I put in a claim but insurance did not respond till after I got back from the trip, and has stated they cannot compensate even though the wrong hooks have been provided.

I know my driver tried to do good. But why would he buy key hooks for a stroller??? When he himself also has a kid and knows you have to hang diaper bags and grocery bags off these hooks. I hope he learns now to remove luggage instead of tugging at luggage underneath and letting the above luggage fall. This is careless.

I now have to go repurchase the hooks out of my own pocket, which are $20. And although it is not a huge amount (however, it is a container of formula), if there was just a little care taken, this could have been avoided.

If booking with Disney, avoid at all costs. We did not choose Karmel, but was rebooked by Disney Vacations when the busses from LAX to Disneyland Resort were discontinued. Arriving, the shuttle showed up at our arrival time, and left. Not as bad as our return experience where we never received a confirmation message, and after 20 minutes passed from our lick up time, we called to be told he was running late. Then we still had another stop, where it took nearly 2tl0 minutes to load the finapy family.

A cliffhanger ending as we hope we don't miss our baygaged check in window to fly home.

I cannot comment on actual transport experience, but do want to give a shout-out to customer service. Due to a medical emergency we had to cancel our shared transport from LAX to San Pedro only a few hours before scheduled pickup. After providing collaborating documentation to Andrew, our pre-paid fare was fully refunded. I will be booking with Karmel the next time I need transportation in the LA area.

We were at the end of a two week holiday ... and our last stop was shopping at the Citadel outlets. Booking through the website we arranged an early pickup from the hotel and an earlier pickup from the Shopping Centre so as to get in a full day of shopping and yet still get to the airport on time. No problems. Then when we got to the Citadel, we were greeted and shown to The VIP Room. Outstanding. We had a great day shopping and relaxing and repacking .. then we were picked up and taken to the Airport .. all on time as planned. Our drivers were very very good. More like tour guides. what a great way to end a holiday, great experience, great value and highly recommended. Just do it .. you won't regret it.

Worst company ever, late to pick us up and then left 17 of us stranded at Knotts Berry Farm, 6 little kids included saying that they had no pickup logged and no one available to come and collect us either.
Left us to sort it ourselves.
No wonder they are struggling to get customers, absolute rubbish service! The faster they go bust the better!

We booked our trip through COSTCO to Disneyland.
Karnel shuttle was the shuttle that was part of the package.

Upon arrival from the airport service was great driver was friendly.
They dropped us at the Marriott suites and we were actually staying at the delta Marriott next door. So no big deal we just walked across the parking lot.

Here s where our experience went south and quickly! Karmel shuttle was set to pick us up at 12:50. We called at noon to confirm we were out front of our hotel delta Marriott and gave them the address to ensure they picked us at our hotel and not next door at the Marriott suites. No big deal. The gentleman we spoke with confirmed. Our pick up time of 12:50 came and went. So we gave it 15 minutes assuming bad traffic, and called karmel shuttle to ask if the driver was running behind. The gentleman on the phone said they had been looking for us for 45 minutes. They did NOT call or text us and we were waiting outside of the delta Marriott for over an hour at this point.

Then a very upset shuttle driver pulled up and this shuttle was from a company called lucky shuttle. Apparently he was there to pick us up. And he was EXTREMELY RUDE ABD GRUMPY!! Saying he had been looking for us for over 45 minutes of course at the hotel next door!!! At the Marriott.

The driver then slammed the back doors of the van and the side doors. And quite honestly was driving crazy all the way to the airport. I was so uncomfortable and just wanted to get my family out of the shuttle.

If Karmel shuttle was going to send a driver of a shuttle from another company (Lucky) They should have told us to look for a shuttle to pick us up from a different company. But in the end I don t see it being our fault in any way that they were trying to pick us up from the wrong hotel.

As expected of a professional shuttle service like this, we found ease and simplicity in booking and using this shuttle. We booked the shuttle a few days in advance online. At one point we got a little confused so called in to ask a few questions. The operator was a very nice gentleman who told us what to expect and how to book it after answering all our questions. Later when we were ready we booked online on the website with a credit card and found that there was a small discount for AMA members. Booking for two people was just under $60 USD each for one way from LAX airport to Hyatt House Anaheim. After booking, we received a confirmation email and number with instructions on what to do when we arrived at the LAX airport. After we arrived and picked up our baggage, we followed the instructions to call the number from the email. A gentleman picked up and told us a vehicle would be arriving soon to pick us up in about 15 - 20 minutes. Another vehicle with the words Karmel Shuttle arrived soon after though to pick up the people next to us. Another group joined us soon and it looked like they were waiting for the same shuttle. About half an hour later our vehicle arrived, a friendly driver helped us load our luggage and off we went. They stopped first at the other group s hotel which was very close to ours, then dropped us off at our hotel. The drive was about an hour from LAX hotel to Hyatt House Anaheim with one quick stop. The driver was very friendly and we had a fun engaging conversation. He told us all about the area and gave us tips on where to go. Karmel Shuttles is very professional and is an excellent shuttle service to use. We will not hesitate to use them again next time and highly recommend them to our family and friends for LAX to your hotel.

Our experience with Karmel Shuttle was appalling and disappointing. I would not recommend this service at all.
The plane landed at 9.00 am and we had to go through customs and it took us about 3 hours and 20 minutes.
When we left customs we couldn t see any Karmel shuttles...we called and we were told that they had been at the airport at 8.40am and that we missed it! We were told we had to pay $90US dollars to get them to collect us... we decided to get an Uber which was half the price.
I emailed the travel agent and we were told that we are not entitled to a refund...basically we were ripped off by this company. Apart that we had to wait about twenty minutes to put us through customer service in LA and talking to about four people, were very rude and unconsiderate.
Our experience was very stressful and sadly we lost our money
Uber is much cheaper and you can get it very quickly at the airport.
We won t make any bookings with Karmel never ever in our lives

Shuttle driver spent almost entire time on 2 phones and flipping thru a paper packet. Had 3 phones in total....very scary. Would never again.
I would not have let my family of 8 in the van if I knew he was going to drive like this. Truly disgusted

Arrived at LAX on time to discover no one was waiting for us. I fortunately had a US phone sim, which was particularly lucky because if I had not called I would not have discovered that we were meant to just wait outside for a white van. It is very unusual to have a transfer where a driver or a company representative does not wait for you at the arrivals area of the airport. Additionally, the customer service representative was very unhelpful, particularly when I inquired how I would be able to identify the white van or how the driver could identify us, and even more so when I asked if there was some way I could contact the driver or have the driver contact me.
Fortunately our driver made up for this experience.

Ou driver called and asked if he could pick us a little early. We were delighted as we were already ready to go. He was very friendly and courteous. It was Thanksgiving day but we got to the airport with time to spare.

Great ride. Economic way to get from the Long Beach airport to Disney area hotels. Nice driver with super skills on the CA freeways. I had the van service so certainly not limo service. Van was clean. I would recommend this service. I did not have to call the company. All communication was through text messages and their website. I liked this mode of communication. Hassle free!

Worst service I've ever seen in a shuttle company. Drivers skills poor and took 2.5 hours to get from LAX to Long Beach! Suggest walking, taxi or pogo stick.

If I could give this company no stars I would. Sal, the general manager, is the most sexist person I ve ever encountered. We called upon arrival to return our rental car which is located very near the air port, he told my mother in-law they weren t going to pick us up from there and to find a way to the air port and that she was wrong. When she refused because the paper work stated to call to confirm the pick up location, Sal then told her to find her own ride and informed her that he sent the van that was waiting for us back. And after calling back to secure a refund the manager, after yelling at my husband about how women need to show him some respect, only gave half of our money back because we didn t cancel 12 hours before pick up time. No kidding. Save yourself the stress and irritation.

Used them to get to and from lax-disneyland. When they came to pick us up from the airport it took them 30 minutes to get there and we had to call them twice to figure out where they were. They told us to stay in a specific spot and then the driver parked somewhere else so we had to go looking for them. On the way back from Disneyland our driver was extremely rude and was swearing up a storm when we got to the airport. Definitely don't recommend

Karmel Shuttle was a great choice took the stress out of LAX, rental car, parking fees at hotel, navigating own car with kids, Gramma, etc etc. We sat back relaxed and let the driver do his thing. No stress with app sending us text updates and everything was ALL On-time! Mahalo Karmel!

I have used Karmel for years. This last time there was a problem with the pickup location. They did absolutely nothing to help except tell me they would charge me additionally to move their driver. They didn t care we were repeat customers. They didn t care they stranded my family with four children in 100 degrees. Uber ended up MUCH cheaper anyway and they were there in three minutes. I will never use this company again and will absolutely not recommend them to anyone. I believe in good customer service and this company does not represent those values.

We used this service on 3 legs of our recent trip and found them excellent. We travelled as a family of 8. We did a road trip from Las Vegas to Anaheim and they were great. Stopped when we wanted and pointed out all the places of interest. They had no trouble fitting in all our luggage.

Do not use this shuttle service!!!! The worst customer service and the worst drivers. First, they do not seem to care about their customers because they drive like idiots, almost getting into multiple car accidents. Second, we were told to phone a day in advance to confirm our pick up time. The man on the phone told us to phone them once we were ready at the airport. The next day we were meeting some family at the airport a little later than we had expected. Anyway, we called Karmel and they said We had a shuttle waiting for you for 2 hours, you weren t there. We can come back for another $100 charge because I need to pay my employee . We were frustrated but gave them our credit card and waited for them to come... just to find out that they were coming to pick up other people anyway. Never use Karmel.

Our first shuttle was late and we waited 30 minutes outside the airport before the driver showed up, he proceeded to watch YouTube videos the entire duration of the drive to our hotel in Anaheim. Second shuttle to our second hotel was also over 30 minutes late. I accidentally left my phone on my seat and called as soon as I noticed, it took 2 days of telephone tag to book a reservation for them to deliver it to our next hotel. Then they proceeded to cancel this booking without our knowledge and meet us at the airport with the phone a few short hours before we left the country. They had 2 entire days to arrange this better!! Once in the airport I realized my phone was missing the SIM card!!?? Customer service as well as disbatch speak extremely rude to their customers and have told me it's not their problem their employee stole from me!!

The drivers I found to be quite courteous and respectful. The pickup from LAX went as reserved but the pickup back to LAX was 45 minutes late despite me phoning the service the night before and three times that morning. I would have missed my plane if I had to check in luggage. This experience was quite stressful and as a result of trying to make my connection I did not have time to purchase food, etc. Even after I was picked up this service went to another location to pick up another client even though I had only 70 minutes to make my flight and we were an hour away without traffic. Never again!!!!

Our trip from the airport to our hotel was pretty good. We waited for a while but our driver was very nice and the SUV was clean.
Our return trip however was terrible. Our driver was 10 minutes late, we then waited around at another hotel for a rider that never answered his phone and then we went back to the hotel we had just checked out of to pick up another group. When I complained I was basically told if I didn t want to wait for other people or return to our original hotel I should have booked a private shuttle.

We were to catch a plane to Melbourne Australia Wed 4th October and need to be at the LA airport 3 hours before our flight. I confirmed our pick up time from Santa Monica to LA airport to be 6.25pm.

At 6.35 called company to make sure they were still picking us up....I was told the driver was waiting for another family....Driver arrived at 7.10pm. Peak traffic and we were to start boarding our plane at 9.25pm. I was not happy,he drove through lots of back streets to get us there and I was panicking we would miss our flight. I called to confirm on Saturday April27 and was told to be downstairs at 7:30 am on April 29.
7:30 came and there was no shuttle so I called to inquire and the support line informed me that the driver was just at another hotel and would be arriving in 5 mins.
Our shuttle didnt arrive until 7:58, 30 mins late. The driver said he had van trouble and I replied with the support line had told me he was at another hotel so it was conflicting information. The driver was extremely rude, snapped at me and said I was making assumptions, and literally threw my suitcase in the back of the van.
Furthermore the check engine light is on in the van which I believe to be very unsafe for a transportation company and I can hardly hear my own thoughts through the racket the rear end is making!

I will NOT use Karmell Shuttle ever again!

I have used this service before to book others going to Disneyland area hotels. Now that I have experienced the service myself, I can continue to recommend Karmel Shuttle to others without hesitation. It was a great experience!

Feb 2020. Family of 5 from NZ to LA shuttle to Anaheim. Rung the company for pickup details when we arrived in LA, they provided quick information promptly for pick up. Driver came within 10 mins, packed our bags and was friendly. No issues thankfully smooth after 28 hours of travel, I would use again. Thanks

My daughter, grandson and myself used Karmel Shuttle from LAX on 02/11/20. Once our flight arrived, I received a text from the shuttle asking us advise them when we had all of our bags. The shuttle arrived shortly thereafter. The driver was very friendly, the ride & conversation pleasant. We arrived at the Disneyland Hotel in about 45 minutes.
We were then picked up on 02/14/20 for our shuttle ride back to LAX. We got our front of the hotel about 10-15 minutes before shuttle was expected. Our driver was already there as we were here only passengers that afternoon. She told us not to hurry as she was early. We were ready and boarded the shuttle for another pleasant ride back to the airport.
I highly recommend this shuttle service to get you to your Disneyland hotel.
There was excellent communication between the shuttle service prior to & after using their services.
We are already planning our next Disneyland trip & Karmel Shuttle will definitely be booked.

We've been travelling overseas for 20 years now from Australia, 15 of those to USA. We've read a lot of negative reviews here but can only review according to our experience. This is the 2nd time we've used Karmel Shuttles in LA and we used them from LAX to Disney Hotel, Disney Hotel to Knottsberry Farm return and then Disney to LAX. You want to talk about diversity... Caucasian female picked us up from LAX, an African American female picked us up for Knottsberry and a Spanish American male took us back to LAX. Respect, on time, courteous and professional. The office ladies when organising the bookings seemed a tad on edge but then that comes from the demands of their customers. I look forward to using your services again when we return. Tbank you...

This was my first ride I had with Karmel Shuttle Service. From Seal Beach to LAX and my return from LAX to Seal Beach.
I can't say enough how professional and patient everyone was with me.
From the person I made my reservation with to the dispatcher.
Both rides were on time. The prices were very reasonable. The vans were very clean. I live in a retirement community where many call for shuttles to and from airports. I will surely tell everyone I know about the great service I had with Karmel.

I am travelling in one as I type this review. On time but the first thing the driver asks me (even before my bags have been placed in the boot) is tip!! Its almost made out to be a right and a compulsory charge. I understand that they are probably not paid well enough by their companies and tipping is a culture here but hey that does not mean you ask for it before delivering the service. Very unprofessional.

I had a terrible experience on two occasions with Karmel Shuttle. I prepaid transfers and had vouchers from Qantas Holidays. They claimed that they didn't have the booking etc and I would need to pay again despite having all the paperwork proving I had paid.
This was at the end of a 14 hour flight and I would have greatly appreciated some level of understanding. The person who claimed to be the manager was rude and delivered some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I had the same problem a week later when confirmeding my return transfer and again spoke to a very rude and unhelpful person. I ended up talking to the hotel concierge and booking with somebody else as I couldn't tolerate the attitude of the Karmel Shuttle Staff.
The hotel concierge commented they had had similar complaints from other hotel guests and had a poor opinion of their operation and service.
I would strongly recommend not booking with Karmel Shuttle.

On Sunday 23 I ordered a shuttle to pick me up at my hotel and also to collect a colleague at a different hotel. I was told I would be paying extra as there would only be the two of us. However, the driver took time to collect four other passengers ...
So I get a refund?

My teenage grandson recently traveled with a friend's family who used Karmel from their home to LAX and return. Upon their late night return from their trip, he left his backpack containing his laptop in the van. Long story short, through some miscommunications, he thought the backpack was left at the friend's house, so it was almost a month later before it was actually reported missing to Karmel--so long that I didn't think we had much chance of recovering it. It took a search and a little time to track it down but Karmel located it and it was returned to him. Thanks to the Karmel employees who helped, as well as to the driver, for all their efforts and honesty--I was impressed!

They were spot on time for pick up from the hotel ...

They were spot on time for pick up from the hotel to LAX. The driver assisted with luggage and made sure we were all seated okay. We were asked how the temperature was in the car. Friendly.

On arrival to LAX we called and they were at our pickup location in about 10min. It was a busy Saturday night and our driver did an amazing job. He told us his name and pointed out things that may be of interest to tourists on the way to our hotel. Assisted with bags and checked in on us as we drove. I would totally suggest using these guys. I will next time I'm back.
