The tour bus had AC but driver didn't feel necessary to turn it on and when my husband requested he gave the dirtiest look and turn it on but it was too late and not on required high temp, everyone on bus was drenched in sweat. I'd rather take the local buses with cheap fair and full blown AC. Excellent drivers and friendly conductors. It was 34 degree Celsius at the time..
I can not recommend the sunsetting ship tour, we were told at Buchen that food and drink are on the boat, but we had to buy drinks on the ship then expensive (a can of coke 4) it was then the speech of the Ship is freshly cooked! Pustekuchen already eternally kept warm food was presented to us! In any case, too expensive for what is offered and 40% of the time you spend in the bus! We also booked a different tour half day cities tour with sun setting in OIA nah yes I was not convinced now I think if you are looking for yourself on the Internet the information you can on your own cheaper trips.

Really good experience with Kamari tours. We booked a full day tour. Everything was very punctual bus boat etc and the tour good Tanya was brilliant. Staff on boat were great and drinks were also good. Slightly overpriced but no regrets.
Sunset boat trip lovely trip but disappointed in the amount of food for 49 euros and no information on sorounding area whilst sailing the Caldera, having done this tour many times in the past I knew the land marks

The tour guide always speaks in 2 languages, which is annoying and is much too fast to understand anything at all, a shame!

Disgraceful policies! Upon arriving in Santorini we realized that the tours are given on a big bus which my sister gets sick on. We called and emailed Kamari tours on Tuesday, July 16 to cancel our tour for Friday, July 19. They were happy that we cancelled several days in advance but were much happier to keep our money that they refuse to refund.
Misleading information when booked. Theo, the guide, needs to improve his skills and interest in guiding and service. Nice buses and ok boat (though needs cleaning and working toilets).
Excellent excursion to Santorini and magnificent sunset in Oja
Maria at Kamari Tours was the least pleasant person I've ever spoken to, let alone in a relationship where I was the customer paying for a service.
After purchasing the half day wine tour, we arrived 20 minutes early for our tour. After asking the staff member from Kamari Tours who to look for we were told someone would be by. Ten minutes goes by and we ask if she knew anything, she said it would be another 10 minutes.
A few minutes later, a wine tour van pulls up, asks us if we are waiting for Kamari tours for a wine tour, which we are. I show this gentleman the ticket, and confirm we had a 3:10pm pick up time. After driving for 20 minutes, our driver is informed he's picked up the wrong pair of passengers, he runs the private tours we were waiting for the semi-private one. We were dropped off at Kamari and that's where the fun began.
Maria was very little help, explaining we could either go fight for a refund from the company we originally purchased the ticket from or we could reschedule for the next day(impossible for us as we were leaving the island)
Kamari Tours has a contract with another tour company to run the private tours, Maria denied any wrong doings and decided to scream at the top of her lungs that this entire event was our fault, repeating over and over "This is your fault, this is your fault" and that she was not responsible. After approximately 20 minutes of pleading that she make this right, the bus returned to grab us while the rest of our tour was busy tasting at one of the wineries.
We were able to join the wine tour already in process, thankfully, missing a large chunk. The only saving grace here was that the wine tour was lovely. I commend the crew, Delphina, you were fantastic.
Overall, this Kamari Tours location should be avoided at all costs. If I had more time, I would have stood out front of the store and warned people going in not to waste their time.
Booked 3 excursions. They were all punctual on pick up and collection however, when we booked hot springs and volcano at no point did they mention exceptional health issues. So we boarded the boat and got to hot springs and only then did Theo (the guide) mention you can't go in if you have heart problem or asthma. My 11year old was devastated as this was the part of the long trip he had been awaiting most. Complained and no one actually cared that they had mis sold a trip. I advised they should notify clients of this but customer service was poor ! Beware.
Booked a sunset evening cruise, we were told there would be a meal on board cooked by a local 4 star chef from local hotel. Turned out It was a very basic buffet and not great at all. Coach driver was grumpy and didn't speak or make an announcement for his arrival to take us to the boat.
Special thank you to Tania and our bus driver Nico. They were very friendly and polite.
Not what we were told and paid for
We booked the trip (Jason 2 sunset cruise 5 Sept 2018) based on the advice from Sanja at the Kamari Tours Thira office saying that d we d watch the sunset from Oia. We asked multiple times and she confirmed we d be stopping at the bottom of Oia village as it was our main reason for taking a sunset cruise. It cost a little more than the others we saw, but since they did a hotel bus transfer, it was easier for us finishing late with kids.
The tour was initially quite rushed (due to late bus) but it was good to visit the hot springs and hike the volcano. But as sunset approached, I noticed we weren t heading to Oia but actually back towards the main ferry port. I actually spoke to Theo, the tour guide, about whether we d be going to Oia and he was quite surprised at my question. He actually said others had asked the same thing so we mustn t have been the only ones told that the boat would be stopping in Oia. And then as the sun was starting to set, a big disappointment set in knowing we wouldn t be going to Oia to watch the sunset as promised. It was hard to enjoy the sunset as I was thinking that we should have been in Oia to watch it. And my whole family was disappointed too in not watching the sunset from Oia.
We went back to speak to Sanja at the Fira store about this and she was surprised we didn t watch the sunset in Oia. She called up the head office and they said it was the captain s decision on where they watch the sunset based on the conditions for example. So they said you may or may not get to watch the sunset in Oia (although conditions were perfect that day with little to no waves). Though by the reaction from the tour guide, it s unlikely they ever go to Oia although the office staff are selling it like you do. If there was any chance we wouldn t be seeing the sunset in Oia, we wouldn t have selected this cruise. So if you want to watch the sunset on the water near Oia, don t go on the Kamari Tours Jason 2 sunset cruise unless you want to take your chances with the captain s decision .
Tour organized very well. Very competent guide and seriousness in the hours. I highly recommend it
I had to cancel a reservation due to the EU travel ban. I reached out to Kamari Tours and they refused to give me a refund. They were not very responsive but ultimately told me they would refund me after 18 months. Even if I am able to travel to Greece in the next 18 months, I will not be staying at any hotel associated with this business. Avoid them at all costs!
Great tour company the tours are will worth the money
Wasn't too bad but there are certainly things that need improving on.
Boat is very dated that's fine.
The 'springs' were nice but we didn't spend enough time there before being called back to the boat, if you can't swim I don't think there is any assistance for you eg. floaties
Our guide didn't really offer anything for the trip didn't talk about the springs or really say anything insightful.
He seemed to act with swagger as though he was above his job.
When we reached the volcano I was surprised that I was expected to pay an extra 2.50pp to then get off the boat and explore!!! How is this NOT factored into the tour price?
Our guide gave a bit of insight about the volcano but it was still pretty poor,he was not charismatic at all!
Then we got held up waiting and waiting to dock and get off the boat we ended up waiting about 30mins just sitting there.
Improvements:
Include the volcano tour in price
Give more time at 'springs'
Give swimming aides to those who need it
Give more advice on what's going on
Supply a chilled bottle of water for after volcano hike
Everything was perfect: punctuality, the pick-up from the departure of the hotel until the return in the evening, and the beauty of the sites, of course. But above all, I want to thank (and congratulate) our guide Vaso: smiling, funny, competent, captivating in his explanations, and hyper available to answer all my questions, including "out of visit" I asked him about the wine local, and she took her time to take me to a great wine shop in Oia. Thanks again Vaso, it was great
Very uncooperative and unwilling to fix problems. If something is wrong, they just say "it's not our fault! It's not our fault!" without even trying to find solutions.
They are a tourism agency, that is their job!
Tour operator in Santorini. In the Kamari headquarters you will find, among others, Simone, a very nice and helpful Italian boy. He waited for us at the airport and during the trip x the hotel gave us several tips for staying in Santorini. It was a very useful support, a real point of reference.
Let me start from what greed does to people. They shoved us into small tiny micro bus. Than they took us on multiple pick up locations, to collect other passengers. Besides that the microbus didn't have ANY AC (Temp outside 100F), the last pick up we took too many people that didn't fit, due to lack of available sitting. Their claim that the children must sit on parents laps because they don't get charged. One of the kids is 15-16 years old and the other around 9-10. The available room for your legs is absolutely absent. My knees were right against the seat in front of me and I am 5'7". Overall, use somebody else, where they have normal busses and better customer service.

Everyone was very nice but the trip was way too long. Could have cut each stop a little shorter and started later. Lasted 10 plus hours overall.
Booked the volcano boat tour and everything worked perfectly. Dear guides, tried very hard.
We have booked a morning volcano tour (sold by Greekholidays Travel and operated by Kamari tour). The tour has been canceled but nobody has informed us. We have been brought to the port by bus with no boat for us at the end. The agency has organized our way back to Fira but it was a complete lost day and a big deception to miss one of the must see of Santorini.
Kamari tours recommended by perissa bay hotel had the most unprofessional guide on board,Theo. Theo extremely immature and over confident.just not made or trained to be in the tourism industry.people like him will ruin the country's tourism industry for sure. People who love and respect themselves should avoid Kamari.

Well, the real departure is a bit long because once at the port you have to wait for other buses, and before the minibus brings travelers to a large bus. The rest good (Volcano tour, hot water, thirasia)
A very successful trip - a volcanic island, swimming in "sulfur" and the idyllic island of Thirasia, everything was very well organized, even transport to the port, very nice and helpful gentlemen on the boat, I highly recommend this company.
The tour and guide, Theo, were great. Only downside, it was not the right visit. The person in charge of kamari tours at the port told us the wrong boat (knowing that he did not even bother to check our tickets to find out which tour we had booked). As a result we paid for an 8h excursion on a sailboat but we only did a 4h excursion. Other people were also in our case except they booked a cheaper tour and benefited from it. Upon our return we explained the problem to the manager of kamari who denied we told us the wrong boat. We still got a refund of 5 per ticket. 5 for 4h less ...
Pick up time was 11:10. Was present on meeting point since 10:45 (I double checked the location and map that was sent to me by get your guide and conversation from whatsapp) and we were waiting until 11:30 until I have to contact them and said that they were waiting for us til 11:20.. Well obviously we're not picked up and ruined our plan for the entire day. Im giving one star for the technical support who fixed my refund... book at your own risk...
I travelled on 10th July with Kamari Tours for a day trip of Traditional santorini tour. The tour guide Tania was so disgusting and disrespectful towards us. She doesn t have manners how to talk to the Tourists. Being a tour guide she wasn t serious enough to give the proper information about that day tour rather she was cracking bad filthy jokes and then asking to apologise saying just kidding. Lastly when the tour was done for the day she came and said you people have to get down here for the hotel transfer by mini van. We were just not aware that the tour was completed. Hence we just asked her Do we need to get down here for that she shouted on us saying No you people want to come to my home you can come I can give you a bed. Mrs. Tania we didn t come all the way spending hundreds of dollars for this kind of response or for a bed offered by you. We also complained to our hotel who have booked the day tour.

The false woman in Fira is a very bad person!
We have booked an excurtion and she didn t say us that there was a problem, she said us we are in late and that we lost the boat (later i understood what the problem was). But when we arrived at the bus stop, the pullman there was there. We take that and when we arrived near kamari a man said us that there was a problem.
We had spent an hour in the pullman!!!
The women in the agency is a very rude person. She Was a false.

The guide talked good and well prepared and right prices.
Also, I booked I didn't feel well, so I emailed them and they were very nice to reschedule the trip the day after with 0 problems.

By the way, for the day we booked I was not well and I wrote him an e-mail: they responded very kindly by moving the tour to the next day without any problem.
Another day, when we had to organize the return to the airport, I turned to them and they advised me very well with transport.
I booked my apartment with this agency. my negative review refers exclusively against the person who was in the public to give information in the period from 24/07 to 05/08/2017. a person who didn't help us at all the times we asked for information, almost annoyed and rude, answered us badly and not helping us .....

Tania was an absolute ray of sunshine from the minute we met her. Her funny, bubbly personality made this tour 10 times better!
Her knowledge of the island and everything on it was extraordinary!!! Not to mention the fact she was speaking in 4 different languages to accommodate the large group of tourists.
I can not recommend this tour enough, especially if you are lucky enough to get Tania as your tour guide- we felt incredibly safe and welcome all through the day.
Our favourite spots were Prygos and Thira- a long day but so worth the money.

We paid a trip to Ia and back but we never got lift back. We waited with a baby in the middle of night and never got a car from Kamari Tours, horrible.

Terrible customer service. I called the place to arrange a tour for 4 people. The lady on the phone was not helpful at all, not friendly, not polite, not appropriate for business at all. They seem like they are fed up with tourist and do not care about customer satisfaction.
The whole tour was well organized, we loved our guide Constantine, who had the arduous task of explaining during the tour in English and German.
Beware of Kamari Tours in Santorini! If I could give less than 1 star I would. First off, the lady selling the ticket at the Fira office was very unprofessional. We first went in to purchase our ticket and she was on the phone, which seemed like a personal conversation, for about 15 minutes. Finally decided to address us, without closing the phone, just asking us "what would you like?" and then when we asked to purchase a ticket she said to come back later. We didn't have much time to search for a different company so we came back in 15 minutes, to find a huge line of people. We waited and watched this same lady help 10 people at once, pretty much cashing one couple out as she was selling a tour to another couple, barely answering any questions and rushing people out the door. We really wanted to see the volcano and hot springs so decided to give this tour company another chance and purchased the tickets for the Jason boat. We asked SEVERAL times if life jackets were provided as I wasn't the strongest swimmer. She kept saying yes and was getting annoyed with the amount of times I clarified this.
Day of the tour, the captain stops the boat at the hot springs. His crew member tells people to jump and swim to the hot springs, which was a very far distance away. All of the passengers grabbed life jackets and left. About 10 of us were left on the boat with no life jacket. When we asked if there was any more, crew member said "no" and kept shrugging his shoulders when we started getting upset that enough weren't provided. Pretty much every passenger needed a life jacket to swim this distance. Another passenger decided to go through the drawers on the deck, found life jackets that seemed to be for emergency, and started handing these out. The crew member got upset and started yelling "ASK THE CAPTAIN", in which the captain came out and grabbed the life jackets and started yelling "NO" and some words in Greek. He shoved the life jackets back and none of us were able to go to the hot springs, as well as our family members that stayed with us because they felt bad.
Came back to the Kamari location afterwards to address this matter, in which the staff were very kind and understanding, but kept saying that there was nothing they could do and to go back to the Fira location and fight to get a refund. It was our last day there and did not have time to go back. Based on the reviews I'm reading now, doesn't seem like much would have been done anyway at the Fira location. Volcano was a cool tour and I'm sure the hot springs were fun too, but DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! BOOK WITH A DIFFERENT ONE!
