The whole family loved this from 3yrs to 70yrs! Very clean rooms and waterpark area. Courteous staff and very smooth check in. I really liked that the waterpark was close to our room. The only negative is the sound of water pipes at nighttime while trying to sleep. My kids had a blast!!!

Had a nice experience overall. Couple bumps along the way, the weather was not on our side for the outdoor water park and that kind of stunk because inside became really busy. When both inside and out were open it was great (obviously Kalahari can't control the weather). We had gotten a whirlpool suite. The first day it didn't work. We tried it again the next day still wasn't working. Called to have tech come, after waiting about an hour we decided to change and go to the water park, then maintenance came. We weren't given any indication of how long it would take and that was a bit frustrating since we paid a good amount of money for the whirlpool. Slides were a lot of fun. Wish they had a regular swimming pool too but we would definitely come here again and recommend it to others

Two years ago my sons and family booked a suite and other amenities for a vacation.
I enjoyed it a lot, even though I am handicapped and have walking difficulty.
We all had a great time.
We did a 4 day stay.

Absolutely amazing, loved the whole experience. The convenience store sucked since it was $5 for half an ounce of deodorant. Other than that it was smooth sailing. Can't wait to return next year!!

Horrible. For be money it is not worth it. Everything is a up charge. Very rude people across the board. Worst part was the outside kids area. Way too slick. My daughter was injured and they couldn't address her injury or even tell us where the nearest hospital was. Wouldn't escort us through he crowd with my bleeding daughter. Didn't help us at all. Only worried about having my sister in law sign a disclosure. I have been to resorts in many states and in the dells. This is by far the worst. When I said I would post reviews with my honest opinion about the incident with my daughter the manager said go ahead it won't matter. Update many many of these reviews are from paid employees. Still the worst vacation experience of my life.

We stayed sun-tues, and did not go to the amusement park.

Pros:
Super fun and clean water park with high slides. Lots of activities for little and big kids. Separate little kid lazy river.
Good happy hour specials
Friendly team members, most people wanted to chat with us.
Parents were *gasp* supervising their kids!
Fun outdoor hot tub (open in the winter)
Great people watching. Soooooooooooo many cartoon character tattoos!

Cons:
They checked us into a room that was still being cleaned. The person cleaning it felt really rushed and missed some things. We had used soap.... That sort of thing.

Most of the lazy river is closed on weekdays.

The shower head....Badly broken soaked half of the bathroom every time we used it.

While we were there they closed down every path through the water park but one. Could have been improved with some detour signs or something.

We stuck around for cookie decorating, and it started super late.

In the end:
We've been here before, and this time was just lacking. We've been to Great Wolf too, and this stay made me wonder why I spent more. I'm honestly not sure I would stay again unless I got a great deal.

The Dells is a fully armed and operational money sucker, but I expected that. I didn't expect them to refuse to refund a room night when our circumstances changed and we had to leave early. Displeased to say the least.

Staying here now , in a 2 bedroom suite . The check in process was fast but felt rushed I was charged 300 extra without a breakdown or invoice . The lady then forgot our bracelet, and she was kind of rude . As first time guest , you think she would be a little more pleasant to guest . Room is nice , our mini fridge didn t work and they got us a new one . Other then the check In lady at the desk it s been going good.

Went to the indoor water park for my wife's birthday. It was good fun, but the price is a bit steep for an all day water park pass when there really isn't a whole lot to do in the water park.

I visited for 2 days for a conference, so I can't speak to the resort features. However the food and Conference facilities were above what I had experienced in the past even going to highly rated places in Florida. I was wishing I had brought the family so that we could try out the water park. Others attending the conference who did said it was great.

Rooms and amenities were great. The catered food was okay, but not fantastic. 10/10 for the swim up bar though! Definitely a great place to go on a weekday evening since you have the run of the waterpark.

I made the mistake of staying at Mt Olympus instead of Kalahari (won t do that again). After a disappointing day at Mt Olympus I went online and purchased day passes to the water park at Kalahari. I m glad we did because when we got there the next afternoon at 1pm they were not letting anyone else with day passes in. The indoor water park was pretty big. They had several slides, hot tubs, cabanas, a lazy river and they even had a swim up bar that was just for adults. It was next to the pool so you could keep and eye on your kids but it was very relaxing. We didn t get to explore the entire resort itself but there was a lot to do including an escape room and a virtual reality game. It was a really nice atmosphere. You could tell they really cared about the quality of the resort and the guest experience. Next time I will definitely stay at Kalahari and I might not ever leave the resort.

A great resort to take young kids. The indoor water park has two little kids areas. One for young toddlers and one for older kids who can not go on the large slides yet. My only complaint would be that the shorter children have to wear live jackets even in inch deep water with their parent holding their hand.

This place is the worst. They don't carry about thier clients. Caitlin at the front desk could care less about customers. We visited this hotel for our friends bachelor party and she was nothing but rude to us

Great variety of fun things to do for the whole family. If you don t want to, you ll never have to leave the park. Plenty of quality shopping, dining and amusement inside! Bring extra money for the indoor amusements.

We brought our daughter and a friend to stay overnight, as a Christmas gift. The whole family had a splendid time, at both the water and amusement parks. We checked in on Friday, and left Saturday evening. The adults only hot tub was definitely a highlight of our stay. I'm sure we'll be back.

1) The kalihari discriminates against disabled and elderly guests. I checked in yesterday and our room is a far walk from the water park - which is understandable as it s a large resort. What s NOT understandable is if we need a wheelchair or a scooter they will charge $25 plus a $100 deposit PER SCOOTER / PER DAY! oh, and they only have 1 to use!!! COME ON. An additional $100 for our 2 guests to enjoy?

2$ We called the front desk this morning Monday in Winter, I know the resort is not that busy - asking for a 1 hour late check out so we could go to breakfast - rudely - no, check out is automatically at 11, but you can pay $50 until noon

No thank you. Is this how you treat your customers who spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars here?

Absolutely disgusting.

By far the best place to be during winter. The indoor water park is amazing and not overcrowded. (We were there during the week). There's something for every age group: kiddie pool with playground > lazy river connected to a wave pool > slides and 2 giant whirlpools, which go outside (one of them is connected to a bar for the parents ) the theme park is a lot of fun too! Go-carts, game machines, mini golf and laser tag will keep kids busy for hours. Since everything is under one roof, you won't have to worry about going out into the cold. Kalahari is slightly more pricey than other similar places, but it is definitely worth every penny.

We stay at Kalahari often with the family and always have a great time except this last stay a few days ago... we booked 2 nights which came out to a few dollars shy of 700 after resort fees and tax and then a few days before we actually arrived we got an email with a "beat the clock" special they were running which was about a 100 dollars cheaper for the friday night and also included theme park passes and a 50 dollar game card (that we were unaware of until we got home after the stay)... when asking about crediting the 100ish back to us the lady at the desk kept saying it was already done trying to avoid the concerns i had... once got home amd really had a chance to log into my bank account and check the payments its quite obvious we paid full price for our stay and never got the deal that we were told we got.... also once we got home is when we noticed that the 50 dollar game credit was apart of the package which we never got either.... coming from a family who usually goes to the dells 4 times a year and according to last years bank statements spent close to 8k up there last year i would think we would be a family that they wouldnt want to lose but ive tried calling and speaking numerous people only to get nowhere so i guess that isnt the case.... also during our stay my wife and kid developed rashes on their stomach and legs im not sure if this has something to do with bed bugs or over chlorinating the pools but also another big negative to our usually nice time up there....

My family and I always have a great time when we come here, there's just so much to do aside from the water park! - with that said the prices of things are a bit more than you would think yet they are relative to the cost of doing most things in today's world. Just be sure to set your financial expectations accordingly so you can really focus on enjoying your time with family and friends!

I had an amazing experience at the Kalahari spa. The people who worked with me asked a lot of questions to ensure I had the best experience. I left my services feeling rejuvenated and relaxed

I was here for an all day workshop. The setup was good. The tech worked as it should (I can't say the same about every venue I have been to). The lunch was very good. I do wish they would have kept the coffee and tea available longer in our room, especially after the lunch break. The seating was comfortable and access to restrooms was very handy. I didn't stay overnight here though as the friday room rate was way too expensive for my budget.

My family goes every year here! My grandparents rent one of the villas and all the kids and grandkids go up for a weekend for family bonding! As someone who has seen the progression of this wonderful resort over more then a decade I would say that it's amazing.... When we first started going we would have to rent a room that had two adjoining rooms, eventually needing two of them to fit our whole family, now all we need is the villa, although with our still ever growing family we'll probably have to expand our reservations again soon! The resort is very good at keeping up with trends and entertainment and I would go there with or without my family! Definitely my favorite park in the Dell's!

We went to the spa and it was just fantastic!!!! We both had massages and the halotherapy room. One of the best massages I've ever had. Everyone was extremely nice. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the locker room was lacking- basically a little closet with lockers. I would like to see an actual room with facilities to freshen up and perhaps access to sauna and hot tub. We will return!

Great fun! The Water park is extensive, and lots of fun, especially if you have small kids; there are lifeguards everywhere, and sections are kid friendly. The restaurant within the water park could be better, but other than that, it was excellent.

I love the experience and I love the fun that you can have here. Rooms are nice and clean and well taken care of. It's always a tad pricey but I mean you're paying for the resort and such. We always try to go on the least popular days gives you so much more to do with the time you're given. If you get the chance try the restaurants at the resort the food is actually pretty good.

Extremely fun. A lot of activities to do all in one place. "Dry" amusement park is extra. Just an fyi - Some of the games aren't included in the wrist band for the amusement park & bowling is also an extra cost. Great for any season, you'll never have to leave the resort. Fresh delicious candy and goodies sold in lobby ( must try some, so yummy!)

Rooms are great, but restaurant F and B needs lots of improvement. Western indicated the buffet was open until 10p. My daughter and I arrived at 8:57p and they turned us away indicating they were closing because it was based on occupancy and they were slow. Disgruntled, we walked over to the Safari snacks to grab dinner and stood in line for 15 minutes waiting for the cashier to return. No one was stationed there. Pizza was cold. Then the cashier had to run in the back for more cups because they were out and no one else knew where they were. But before he went in the back to go get more cups he helped ring up a lifeguard who was buying a drink for a dollar first behind us in line. She reach over my tray to swipe her card and nearly touch my food. The whole F and B has been a let down. The resort in beautiful though.

This was my first time coming here and the room we stayed at was dirty. Where are the housekeepers? Then some staff members seemed impatient, like this one black lady looked like she was getting irritated with my sister. Bruh, calm down, lol not everyone is smart. And its funny how they're not enforcing people to wear masks. There will be some people walking with no masks on, talk about disrespectful. Staff are not even doing their job correctly. Next time, I'm bringing my own cleaning supplies since staff don't do jack.

Waterpark is good for kids 12 and under. Rooms are redone. Must go if you find a family package rate that includes food and arcade, otherwise you are looking at $600 range. They forgot to give vouchers. The pool had too much chlorine one day. They need to rotate lifeguard more often (every 15 min instead of 30). The pool cafe was small and could not handle the amount of guests. Pizza took 20 minutes to make.

The Ivory coast restaurant was average. Service was average. The buffet was very good, BUT the line was long since they were taking payment up front. The arcade is "in between" ticket systems. Had to haggle for a small rubber ball for my 3 year old when I was 3 tickets short had to get a manager. Did have glow in dark gold and mini bowl though. The dessert and ice cream was average and they would not mix flavors. If they are going to serve guests from NY/ NJ they need to work out all these little service issues that work on paper in a corporate office. We expect more or will just go to Disney instead (which they are obviously trying to model) There is a disconnect with in person. B rating.

The Kalahari Wisconsin Dells Resort gets 5 stars f...

The Kalahari Wisconsin Dells Resort gets 5 stars from our family. It has become a favorite destination and we visit 2 to 4 times per year and have since 2005. We visit at all times of the year, even in the dead of winter. There is much to talk about so lets start with location. It is immediately off the Interstate and located near many restaurants. It is far enough away from the numerous resorts and water parks that crowds are not much of a factor. Next, the physical structure. It is large, easily navigated, and new enough that everything looks new, clean, and in good repair. Parking is adequate. I should mention that on many trips I have parked, unloaded, then spent the next several days in the facility with no need to go elsewhere. At checkout one has to recall where they left the car several days prior! There is so much to do at Kalahari that most often there is no need to travel out and about in the Dells to find other activities.

The rooms are nice and there is an incredible assortment of rooms to choose from, so couples, small families, large families, and reunions can all be accommodated. Room prices vary as well. There are many restaurants, snack shops, gift shops, and, one of our favorites, The Sweet Hut. They have the BEST caramel apples around, along with a great variety of other choices. At times the Ice Creme is a bit on the soft side, however. Room Service offerings are above average, however the service is spectacular. Delivery speed is fast and the orders are accurate and complete.

The outdoor water park is a nice one. There are many larger ones in the Dells, some with one of a kind rides and slides. However, for a family with younger children their crowds can be daunting. At Kalahari the water parks are primarily for guests staying at the hotels. They do offer tickets on a limited basis for non-guests at the hotel, but I believe they are limited in quantity, and expensive enough that most folks would prefer to spend that money at one of the bigger parks. The outdoor water park is family oriented. There are many attentive yet friendly life guards throughout the grounds.

Now for our favorite, the indoor water park! It is HUGE! The vast majority is designed for families, with only a few "adults only" attractions. Seating is always available, and private cabanas can be reserved for a price, some with private hot tubs. Tubes are plentiful, lines are rarely long. We particularly love the huge outdoor hot tub, especially in the winter when snow is falling! It must hold 100 people at a time yet is big enough to do that easily.

The Kalahari convention center is another mention. It is where they put on several annual special event buffet style dinners, including Thanksgiving and Easter that I have attended. They are incredible! I have yet to find a more complete and extensive buffet. The convention center is also home to the Double Cut Steak House, which has recently become another favorite of ours. See my separate review of the Double Cut.

Should you wish, exercise facilities are located in several places throughout the resort, including the Kalahari Fitness Center, run by Wayne, former Wisconsin State Biceps Curl and Dead Lift champion. Come in and design your own workout or hire him to design one for you!

Kalahari could become your family's favorite destination as well. It is consistently an enjoyable, relaxing getaway for our family, and our next visit is just a few weeks away! Will try to remember to add some photos to this review.

Update, Spring Break 2018: back for 4 nights. It s cold outside so the indoor water park is a great getaway! Attached now are photos of the massive facility. We have a private cabana rented for today, and one with a private hot tub for tomorrow. Our room is quite nice this stay, one of the more upscale offerings although most of the regular rooms are also nice.

The resort is very nice - rooms clean, food and drink fine for the price considering it's a resort, unparalleled indoor waterpark. WiFi is pretty poor and limited outlets in room for charging. However, the lack of social distancing, mask wearing, and overall crowding at this time was extremely unsettling - nobody seemed to be enforcing any policies they had in place. Over 50 people in a single hot tub with 6 foot distancing signs all over the place! This property will be found grossly negligent if a COVID outbreak occurs from the number of people who were here this weekend and the lack of protocols in place.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience here and will never return. First my daughter gets cold in our room pull the blankets and sheets back to find the bed covered in urine. The manager did upgrade us and move us to another room which we didn't even get to stay in cause my 11 year old son was assaulted walking back from the room in the hallway by a group of kids bigger than him. Security took forevwr to cone as well as management

Room was clean and large, no complaints there. Ice cream by the entrance was very good. Waterpark was fun, kind of a disorganized maze inside, a pain to navigate. Outside park was closed. Wristband was good for the day before and after the stay, used both, it was nice.

Very interactive and children friendly place! Went there recently and there are multiple fun games for children to play and even activities for adults to enjoy. I had a fun time there and I would definitely recommend going there sometime!

Fun times funny memories.
