A great family winter get-away! Expect to spend a bit, but if you are in the area, it definitely beats plane tickets, lodging and park fees in a warm destination. The entire complex was very clean and well cared-for - no sign of aging or wear. Decor was fun and interesting. Water park was a big hit with the whole family (kids 10 and 12, but a lot for younger kids, too). It was busy without being ridiculous - though definitely recommend getting to the waterslides early if possible. Renting a Cabana was expensive but made for an extra fun perk - great way to spend the entire day at the water park; especially for Dad, who got to watch football. Indoor/outdoor hot tubs we're a blast in the middle of winter and the hot tub bar was great. Service was very friendly though pretty slow throughout all of the restaurants - just be prepared to take your time. Fast food was run-of-the-mill in the water park and amusement park, but really excellent food in the sit down restaurants - highly recommend Double Cut and the breakfast buffet. The Spa was wonderful - very high quality - one of the best hot stone massages I've ever had (thank you Nicole!) and no pricier than you would get at a regular high end spa. Amusement park was fun, though mostly it was an arcade, which was overpriced. We paid for full access wristbands (not including the arcade) for our stay, which was definitely worth it. Laser tag was a lot of fun, with no wait time; ropes course and go-carts were also a hit, though with slightly longer wait times. Most of the rides were geared more towards younger kids. Pay-per-view movie was expensive, but fun for one night. In our four-night stay we didn't even make it to the attached movie theater. Highly recommended for a winter-break getaway!!

This was our second visit to Kalahari and we had a great time time. We stayed in a 3 room village suite that slept 12 people. We went with another family and had room for all 12 people in this suite. There are several water activities to do here. Wave pool, lazy river, flow rider, several body and tube slides, hot tubs, water basketball, climbing structure and several hot tubs. 2 reasons why it's not getting 5 stars- I felt like the water and air temperature throughout the park could have been a few degrees warmer. The adults only outdoor hot tub was not hot enough. The second issue was the chlorine level. Even with thorough showers after each swim my kids all had very itchy dry skin and the chlorine ruined 2 of our swimsuits. I know it's necessary for a water park, but this seemed to be stronger than anywhere I've been before. The kids loved it and for the right price we would try it again

This is the dirtiest place I ve ever stay at. Stained sheets, dusty walls, water was left in the iron, found paper in AC unit, sofa bed was cover with dust and window curtains are filthy. Not worth money spent there.

I wouldn't recommend any sort of stay here, for the simple fact they need a heavy coaching on hospitality. Don't get me wrong, who doesn't love the dells, but by far this is the first time I've dealt with so many problems at the dells in Wisconsin.
Checking was horrific, Ineffective rooms keeps and lack of accommodations. This was supposed to be a enjoyment for the family with all the death and violence going on in the world this was the last thing I thought we would be paying for. I hope the managers there aren't training anyone, they all need to be fired. From Pam, Ava, Alicia all the way down to the call center supervisor who didn't advise their policy twice on a recorded line about and authentication form. This is only the beginning, all im saying is if you or your family are planning to go to the dells DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK AT THE KALAHARI

The conference accommodations are amazing. Each room is well equipped and WiFi was strong. The meals and snacks provided were excellent. The rooms are great as always. I wish they had extra staff on hand for check-in on conference days though. Always takes awhile to get checked in on those days.

Kalahari was an adequate location for my business needs this past weekend, although due to the large influx of people parking was difficult. Otherwise good location, and I can't fault them, attendance is more an issue of the event. Water park is good, arcade and silly extras are cool

Best water park and resort in the Dells! There is so much to do and our kids love it every time we go. The only thing I ve found not worth it was the escape room. It s over priced. Overall the hotel and water parks are top notch!

You're currently staying here at the end of September. It is my wife and I are four year-old and two-year-old. One thing that's really bugging us is at the indoor waterpark is very cold the water and the air. Our children are shivering and have blue lips.

We have always loved Kalahari but this time we were not happy. The bowling alley was not staffed on Saturday night. There was 1 bartender. We waited a very long time and finally we were able to get a server to come to our lane. It still took forever for the drinks to come and when they finally did come we only got the soda and waters. One alcoholic drink was still being made and she forgot about the other 2 we ordered. She also didnt get all of the food in we ordered. We left and got a refund for our remaining games. Very disappointing to find out there are no longer hot tubs on the balconies. We've always stayed in the presidential suite mainly for this reason. We stayed in the suite 1 step down from the presidential and it was nothing special at all. We probably wont be back.

The waterpark is the best part of this. The hotel and restaurant are really lacking, and there WiFi barely works. The also don't pay attention to the small details. I have attached some photos of what I am talking about.

Had to adjust this due to my last stay at the resort. Before checking out of the hotel we were cleaning and found dried blood on the back of one of the pillows. We were 100% sure that this was there for our entire stay, which means the bed sheets and pillow cases were not changed during our weekend. The gross part about that is I'm not sure if they were changed before we checked in either. When I spoke with management about it I was told that all they could do is offer a food voucher, but even that was an issue because we were only allowed to use it on certain items in the restaurant. I ended up still having to pay for a portion of the meal because of this limitation. We stay here every year for a convention, but this last experience was the worst by far.

It's a nice hotel with pleasant staff, but with generally average water park facilities. The indoor water park doesn't allow for a family entrance for a special needs child (just men and women locker rooms to access the park, so I had to hope that he made it through the men's locker room without me guiding him through). This is probably fine for a dual-parent traditional family, but for a single parent it makes things difficult. The indoor theme park is ok, particularly if you're into arcade-type video games. The restaurants tend to be vastly overpriced, but otherwise adequate. It's a good one-time destination spot, but we probably won't be going back.

Spent sping break at Kalahari. Enjoyed all the amenities during our 3 day stay. Rides, games, food and spa were great. Can't think of any complaints except there was too much to do in the short time we stayed. It was well worth the price.

The Kalahari was very enjoyable. The rooms were large and clean. The water parks were decent with good variety, but the wave pool was disappointing. The indoor theme park was worth an afternoon's entertainment.

Love staying here!

Love staying here!
This last time we got a deluxe suite with a full kitchen. Everything was very clean and the whole family enjoyed our 3 day stay.

I had a broken leg and was in a wheel chair at the time--- this place is wonderfully equipped to handle wheel chairs and handicapped individuals. Only negative? In order to get to the pools you must walk (get pushed) through a locker room, which means it's gender specific. Luckily I had my 9yo daughter who was able to help navigate me through the tight corridors. Otherwise, how would my husband help?
Both indoor and outdoor pools are very clean.
If you can, keep your kids away from the arcade (you'll save yourself some dough).

So far this is one of my favorite waterparks in Wisconsin Dells! Nice rooms, fun arcade, good restaurants, movie theater on site, room service, nice art collection in the hotel, not too big or too small. We will be back!

I would give 5 stars for the amazing staff who clearly are dedicated to serving guests. The staff at every level was fantastic. The reason I am leaving a poor review is because of the cultural appropriation of African tribes, and single story depiction of Africa. From what I was told by a staff member, much of the decor was purchased directly from the artists in Africa, which is great, except that it is displayed for Americans to enjoy the aesthetic value while paying no respect to the cultural significance of the pieces. I would like to know if the Kalahari resort gives back to these cultures that it profits off of. Overall, the Kalahari does not need to appropriate African culture as a theme for our amusement. If the theme was safari animals, without appropriating actual human beings cultures, I strongly feel that would be the best way for this business to operate ethically.

Aside from being a tad cramped into our seats at the conference, the environment was comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the catered lunch was good. Recommended for professional events.

Not a bad place. The Presidential Suites are pretty comfortable. Hot tub on the balcony, steam shower in the Master bedroom. Priority check-in and a private cabana. A bit pricey, but if you're worried about the cost, stay home.

I am giving Kalahari a 3 star rating because... The water park was huge, but on the down side... the lines for the water slides are huge. If you want to ride water slides plan to wait about 15 minutes. The other down side is the food... that food is insanely pricy! You are talking like $12 s for a cheese burger and fries... the food was cold as well. They should make everything fresh, instead of leaving the food out.

Our room was not clean the beds were dirty we took pictures the fireplace had food and spit or something on it...not very happy 500 later never again and I will let everyone I know that it's just not worth the money!!! :( very sad it was my daughter 16th bday too :( and everything was sooooooo over priced!!!!

We did not this time do the waterpark, instead we went to tomfooleries. We did this in addition of knuckleheads. My seven-year-old enjoyed tomfooleries much more than knuckleheads. Tomfooleries is within the Kalahari. It has some rides, games, small mini golf summer and a secured large jungle gyms.

Diana and Allison were so great that we told them we wanted to find a way to recognise they added to our experience at Kalahari Resorts Dells today. Allison sought us out to tell us there were more options for Flow Rider stand up surfing and it was 40$ per lesson to get extra time. Awesome to remember we wanted to know more and track us down though we didn't ask specifically for her to make extra inquiries.

Amazing water park and all the perks you get in your package. We went to the zoo and got tickets to see tommy bartlett. Soo amazing. Front desk staff does lack enthusiasm. But other than that amazing. Can't say enough great things.

This place is awesome. It's a gigantic building with a gorgeous theme throughout which really makes you feel like an explorer. The arcade is huge and you can no doubt find activities to keep you and your party busy. I hope to return again one day.

Stayed overnight at the resort and was really happy with it. The arcade was awesome as was the escape room and VR. A little disappointed with the water park. The brew pub was alright, burger was bland though.

The night was great however the complaint I have is the lack of proffessionalism of the staff. Very casual language and seeming lack.of.knowledge of.how to.operate rides/waterpark attractions especially the Go Kart Track

We took a day pass. They give discount for military families, kids under 3 are free and spectators is $10. My son loved the slides. Very kid friendly. Lifeguards are young people and they do rounds all the time.

Believe it or not, my first time since moving to Wisconsin 20+ years ago. This is a gray place to be, a little expensive, but worth it for some family fun and even relaxation. There is a lot to do aside from the water parking. They've really done a good job of integrating Tom Foolery and the movie theater making for a jam packed weekend.

We stayed in a Sands suite with balcony view for 5 days/4 nights. Customer service in the lobby was awesome, housekeeping was okay only because they walked in on us one night at dinner without announcing themselves (but they were quick to apologize and granted we didn't have our do not disturb sign out), life guards at the pool were nice engaging in small talk, and other employees were courteous.

I'd recommend and or family will be back.

Location couldn't be any better if it was in the clouds! It is right off the interstate. There are plenty off attractions for children and adults of all ages. Countless different restaurants on sight, with even more within a short drive. Would definitly recommend!!

We love the Kalahari! We went for a day in the middle of winter as a work outing for my guys and had a blast! Even being stuck indoors we didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted. And the virtual VR game IS AMAZING!! COOLEST VIDEO GAME EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

First time being to the Kalahari. Have been the the dells numerous times and always wanted to go. Here currently and frankly wish I wasn t. Upon checking into our first room, long old toenail clippings were found at the bedside. Almost gagged seeing it. Went down to get another room. Was hoping to get a refund since I seriously questioned the cleanliness of this hotel especially now during COVID. Wasn t offered it or an upgrade for the situation. The second room is located on the fourth floor and it s the farthest room away from the main attractions. Not enough parking, access areas and elevators. Would of thought the kalahari would of gone above and beyond for customers.

I went to Arena VR, where I fought some murderous robots with my neice and nephew. There was some technical issues that delayed the start, but overall it was an enjoyable and immersive romp through the bowels of a ship run by a crazed AI. Of particular enjoyment were the sequences that bent the rules; a curved ramp where you could see your teammates standing sideways, a acraphobic section over (not-really-there-but-terrifying-anyway) a bottomless pit, and a sequence that split the party into separate areas despite the reality of being just a few feet apart (but you couldn't tell). The resolution on the headsets is on the low end; newer headsets would improve the experience, as would better AC. But we had a lot of fun.

The kids had a lot fun on there weekend but the waterpark is definitely showing its age/ware & tare. Rotting wood, rusting ceiling, faded and or missing paint all prevalent throughout the park.

We loved staying at Kalahari! Our room was clean, water park as well! The only thing was that we pre check in at 12pm and front desk guy told us that around 4 we should receive a text msg to let us know our room was ready, so we waited, no msg so at 4:15pm I went and ask the lady that's by the water park entrance and with an attitude she told me to just wait for the msg. So 5pm and almost 6pm came and since it was too much waiting we went to front desk and the guy which he was helpful and apologized because our room had been ready. (We didn't receive no msg or email and the girl didn't suggest for me to ask front desk or that she'll try to check). Other than this we had a good experience! Our first time and hopefully not the last time! Notification regarding room being ready needs to be fix, as well as the customer service(they need to be more helpful to new visitors)
