It was a bit confusing to get into and then I had to figure out where to out my car so I could run in to the Fedex store. The concierge guys were awesome. They allowed me to park my car by the front entrance and the guys in the Fedex were very fast and thorough.

I attended a conference here, and to first thing I noticed was that the grounds are just beautiful. I helped set up a registration/party for our people, and the staff who run the business rooms are extremely helpful and communicative. It made our setup much smoother than it could have been. We ate some appetizers out by the fire pits, and our server was both quick and friendly. Great dip on the pretzel bites, only wish they came with more pretzels, as you're left with a lot of dip. The spa was also wonderful and the staff there were just as friendly, and easy to talk to, which is important for a pedicure, assuming you like conversation. All in all great resort, recommend it for big events, or even just a local getaway.

Three stars means "good" according to google, though I think most people would say average. I know there are a ton of great reviews here so what doe one mediocre one mean?
I came here for 4 night for a conference, and paid a discounted rate bc of this, but otherwise the rate would have been more than $600 and I really dont think this place is that special for the money.
The room was fine. Nothing special. Small shower, and only one sink, though the bathroom and room were spacious. I was upgraded to a better view, but really was unimpressed by the lawn. It was a hike to the conference rooms, which was disappointing as I am bonvoy platinum elite.
Breakfast would have been $50 for two but I had vouchers, and I think this is a bit egregous. As is parking where the self parking is a hike and I think was $20/day and valet was $35.
I ordered room service once and while service is fine, the food did not come on a trolly with table set up so the food had to go on a coffee table.
I didnt use the pool or spa or golf though they all seemed very nice.
So again, there is nothing wrong with this place. Its just not that special.

The team at JW Desert Ridge know how to make people feel truly special.

From the moment we stepped on site, we were taken care of in a very detailed way. From assisting with luggage, to giving my son a fun welcome gift, to the wildly hospitable staff across all the grounds and restaurants, the staff makes this place stand out from the other resorts in the area.

Not just that, they have multiple restaurants (ranging from casual to high end), a coffee shop, fire pits everywhere with great seating, a splash pad and kids pool, a lazy river, cabanas, and a more exclusive pool area too.

I was even able to rent a bike included in the resort fee (not a tacky bike too, like a solid brand road/mountain bike).

You need to give this place a visit if you re in search for a great place to relax and retreat.

Wow! This resort really has it all. It's a conference center, it has shops and a Starbucks. The spa took me on short notice for a massage treatment and was lovely. The lockers and hot tub, steam room, sauna, ect was segregated with a co-ed private pool. It's pricey but worth it. There was a common pool, bar and lazy river outside. One thing I also really appreciated was free water to drink all around. When it's 107 degrees that's a really nice touch. I loved it!

The restaurants are overpriced and have poor quality. Don't waste your time on those. The rest of the resort is very nice, relaxing, and clean. The furniture is a little dated but all in all very tasteful.

This Hotel has some serious management problems. While we were visiting there they "accidently" charged my credit card an additional $9600.00 for a "gift shop" purchase (which we didn't discover until we returned home). Took us several phone calls to track down "who" was responsible for the mistake. Beware of All your charges before Leaving this Hotel!

JW Marriott staff are super. Asked for a pillow for spouse's back. They came through with a pillow. Made the luncheon in the ballroom a success. Food and service were very good. Marriott is great.

I attended an expo there. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept as was the inside. Food provided for lunch was excellent and appetizers at the cocktail hour were amazing. The staff was also very impressive. I would love to take my family there for a relaxing staycation. There's also shopping near by.

Love this resort. Always return here whenever we can because it is a very restful and affordable vacation break for us. Love the tranquil spa vibe, especially Biliana our pool attendant. The lazy river located in the more active family oriented side of the JW has an absolutely fun and vibrant atmosphere. Love the place!

Beautiful resort. The hallways & general 'common areas' were a bit hot, and could definitely have been cooler during Arizona's scorching hot summer. The hotel was delightful other than that.

Family friendly resort. Nice property - pools, gardens, gym. Management seems off - slow computer system, cleaning services are inconsistent, staff varies from awesome to checked out. Food quality doesn't justify prices.

Attending a conference at this resort for the work week, the facility is really beautiful with very scenic views. My room has a patio on the ground floor that overlooks a large pond that is wonderfully landscaped and quite relaxing-even in the summer southwest heat at the end of June. The room is spacious with the largest TV I have ever seen in a hotel room. Seems at least 60" and like your own movie theatre which is nice when catching up on day's news at end of day. The bathroom is also the best of any hotel I've stayed at and quite unique with a full size bathtub and large separate shower. The room was excellent size, bed was excellent, furnishings updated. Perhaps only thing outdated was carpet. I have yet to try lazy river or walk any of the trails, but looking forward to it!

Great resort with wonderful spa area, treatments & practitioners. Big beautiful property located within walking distance to shopping & restaurants. Our room had a wet carpet but once they relocated us we were comfortable. Front desk service depends on who you get. Some people knew what they were doing while others had trouble giving us working room keys. Room service offered healthy options but was bland. Breakfast buffet was lovely and fresh eggs at the omelette station were fantastic paired with yummy juices and fresh fruit. We will be back for sure
