We treated ourselves to Thanksgiving dinner at the JW. It was so nice not to have to cook and the meal was delicious. The desserts weren't as delicious as the main meal but still yummy. Our nice waiter offered us a take away box for desert when we said we were too full to eat dessert. We said no thank you but then changed our minds and asked the hostess if we could (after all) take our dessert home and there was a huge brouhaha over whether or not we could take our dessert home with us which was a little annoying. They treated us like we were hillbillies trying to eat more than our share at the buffet and we had a small dessert plate with 2 small desserts so that was a bit annoying. I don't expect to be treated poorly at a theoretically nice establishment like the JW. All in all it was an absolutely wonderful experience and our waiter couldn't have been lovelier.

UPDATE, another wonderful face, Yani, I appreciate his kind and courteous manner, I believe I found a power Duo Ra and Yani! Yani showed me the same respect and courtesy as Ra did and I thought I should mention it on here, so that people know that the very first face they meet whether it be Yani or Ra, at JW Marriott they make you feel welcome and invited which is a comforting feeling! Definitely recommend a stay! Top notch all the way!

Original Post: JW Marriott, where I met this amazing gentleman named Ra who works for JW Marriott, and was well knowledgeable about the area as well as how to and where to park your car, if you area local. Not only does JW Marriott have an asset with Ra but so does North Italia, since this gentleman is well knowledgeable of the area and very down to earth, downright nice gentleman that is one of the first faces people see when approaching from the south, he has no dought, helped other positions of North Italia's customers as well! I would definitely recommend going to JW Marriott for a stay and grab a bite from North Italia for a bite to eat you will not regret your stay or the recommended bite to eat! Thank you again Ra for an amazing experience I had with you last week JW Marriott has a great asset in you, I appreciate your kind and courteousness!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms. Bathroom with both a bathtub and a very large shower area. Very welcoming bar and restaurant. A very affluent area in the suburbs but with the atmosphere of a country with many restaurants in the draws. Shopping center right next door. At the down town of Denver you can get there on foot in about an hour if you want to take a nice walk.

Let me start by saying I generally tend to love most JW's. I had high expectations for this location due to the area and also the cost/points they ask for this place.
Unfortunately the rooms are quite outdated and rather worn. We asked for a different room after we were given a room that had no view (view of a rooftop satellite) and stained carpet. Staff was helpful enough and did accommodate us by changing our room. However it was just as bad as the other with black fingerprints on the door, very worn furniture, a wall with some sort of splattered stain on it. Ew.
I have never stayed in a JW this disappointing.
I'll end on a positive note. The property does have a nice size bar and outdoor fire pit seating area.
If you have another option to stay somewhere else I would look into it. This place is not worth it.

Great location for walking to shops and restaurants. Service is amazing including valet, check in, housekeeping. Rooms are spacious and clean. Love having access to the concierge lounge with drinks and breakfast/snacks. Will definitely stay here again.

For our first time in Colorado, we had a great stay at this hotel! Being a Marriott Sales Manager, and in the hotel industry the service and staff was great at this hotel. George Maresh was amazing, by helping us get a rental car set up and providing us fun things to do and check out in the area! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and would definitely stay here again!

I met some friends for brunch at Second Home, which is inside the hotel. The food was wonderful and the service was superb. The only downside is the parking, which is either metered or valet.

Beautiful hotel stayed there two times now. Only thing is that the air in Denver is bit dry and in winter it is very cold. Your nose might burn during breathing. The hotel should provide some sort of oxygen in the room. And if you put the heather on to warm the room it makes it worse as we know hot air drys the air even more.

The hotel is wonderfully located in the upscale Cherry Creek area. Unlimited array of excellent dining choices in Cherry Creek. Also, vast amount of great shopping including everything from boutique shops to a luxurious enclosed mall with lots of great brand names and beyond.
The JW restaurant- Second Home Kitchen-has a great bar scene inside and out. Large fire pit takes the chill off outside. The restaurant serves a good variety of tasty plates. Super brunch on weekends too.
Staff is very attentive. Valet parking if desired. Parking is not free in Cherry Creek, so add $30-40 Per day onto expenditures.
Downtown Denver is a 10 minute +/_ drive from there.

Stayed in the 1 bedroom Suite with the giant soaking tub. Got some bath bombs from LUSH at the mall which is literally less than a block away & took me some very very nice baths during my stay.

Rating compares ONLY to other Marriott hotels.

Rating compares ONLY to other Marriott hotels.

The low score root cause is top management not developing an online "staff operations manual" specific to the facility, problem solving procedures for every common problem that interferes with customer comfort, recursively training the staff to be sure they know how to implement and improve the manual only in the interest of the customer and not personal benefit, and then have a group of trained unidentified company guests each sample part of the total service provided in different rooms on every shift and day. These could actually be Gold Members trained to provide related audits.

At this Marriott, we waited at the front desk for about 8 minutes and there was no staff to check us in.

The night manager knew there were problems with the television system in various rooms and failed to have cleaning staff check tv and call the front desk to notate which rooms are not working.

NO Stationary Engineer (handyman) support would be provided, to correct the problem.

Management had no troubleshooting manual to even attempt to fix the problem in conjunction with the equipment service provider.

The presentation of the Concierge Room was good, the breakfast food looked nice, but the heat lamp food warmers were wholly inadequate and the food was cold, all of the food.

The mission in my opinion, should be to ensure guests are not confronted with any of these problems. All management should in-part be evaluated based on decisions of 2 years ago and how they affect evolving meaningful sustained growth of profits. To generate additional under-utilized resources for developing additional services to grow additional under-utilized resources; sustained growth.

No one is an expert in every faction of a business. ONLY Arrogant, dysfunctional, or burned out administrators present themselves as self-centered experts, down-play peer and subordinate accomplishments, and attribute other people's accomplishments to themselves. These administrators are corrupt and stagnate company mission growth.

The facility is a substantial accomplishment, the service implementation needs structural development to provide for future service stability; future client growth.

Just my opinion,

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The rooms are pretty nice but unlike other Marriotts this JW Marriott doesn t necessarily follow its 'guaranteed' room type. Cherry Creek is beautiful so this is a great place to be. The parking and check in is a little difficult because it is in a very crowded area. The rooms are nice but comparable to other, slightly less expensive, Marriotts.

There was hair in the bath tub. Our fridge wasn't working for the first day and a half we were there. And when we asked for extra towels in our room it was not done for us. Drinks were great though and the art was nice.

I love staying at the JW Marriott properties as I always know what to expect. They're always top notched and very professional.
We spend around $800 a night in the upper suites because of the "extras" and it's Alway more luxurious.
Not so this time. First --we had to wait for a long time for our room to be cleaned ( rebuilt??) as there was a bridal party that stayed there.
When we finally were able to get into our suite, I was shocked to see it was not the usual state of art room. It is in much need of updating and needs better housekeeping, very sloppy cleaning.. Extremely dusty. The bathroom vents had caked up dust on them...the kind that tells its been building up a long time. Also, baseboards the same. Toothpaste splatter on backsplash ( now I know how it got its name). The faucet handles were almost hitting backsplash. I asked for a different hairdryer since theirs had a broken peice and so much dust buildup...never got it. There was a wall TV in bathroom with plug cords hanging down that I had to keep fighting with while getting ready. At one point, I heard someone trying to enter my room w/o knocking first to repair the faucet.!!! I'm glad I used the crossbar...
Oh...one night I noticed housekeeping placed a boutineer on nightstand ( from the previous clients!) ...goes to show my comments about housekeeping. They didn't clean well before we arrived and then thought that was out boutineer. Tub drained SLOW. Mold opening in shower and on ceiling.
I debated whether to give this review--but, it irritates me about the man trying to get in my room w/o knocking first ( as I was about to shower!) when I explained that he could fix these things later but not while I was there--I showed him the other things that needed attending. He admitted that some have complained about this in past...well....????!!!!! Why wasn't it addressed?!!?
The bartenders were sloppy in appearance and I heard them using bad language and f bomb. Small gym...and on 3rd day I noticed same dirty floors with same scuff marks along with coins and metal hanger still in the floor.
This isn't the JW Philosophy AT ALL!
And we spent a lot of money for a glorified Ramada Inn.
While there--I scanned past reviews and noticed same complaints. Which tells me--they really don't care to change.
I hate that this seems to go on and on--but, I shouldn't have had to point all these things out.
I did really like the location...easy shopping accessibility,

This is not on par with any jw Marriott I've stayed. The location is great and that's about it. Front desk was Curt and not very acknowledging of platinum status at check-in. Rooms are average at best. Everything is clean but linens and towels are old and sub par. Fitness room and concierge lounge are small. Overall an average hotel.

Would give this a 10/5 if I could. Had a very important, atypical and time-sensitive request that we needed during our stay in Denver, and Joe Sylvestro was able to fully accommodate for what we needed within 20 minutes. He checked back in frequently and followed up to make sure that everything was in order. Joe is awesome, and we definitely appreciate that someone with his attention to detail and client servicing intentions was there to support us.

Really expected more. The hotel atmosphere is one of luxury and has one of the best locations in Cherry Creek, but it has a number of problems by my standards and measures which is same for all hotels.
Problems are: 1. Temperature in room during day in room is 74 F lowest it gets and 63 F out of the one small vent for a very big room. At night 70F in room and 59F out vent. 2. There is no premium internet service and even though has 194mbs down and 182mbs up it does hang on streaming at times and also dropped connection twice in 2 days and had to login again. 3. There are limited amenities no pool or hot tub 4. Came back from concert at close to 12:30 AM and were vagrants inside drinking out of the free water station in front of the check in desk and no employees around which is a big security issue. 5. Most of my stay noise was good until checkout day when group checked into adjoining room. Sounded like they were in my room. 6. Milk in the Concierge lounge was hot and sour. They should use milk in containers the refrigerator like any Fairfield or Marriott does. Also, eggs were left out too long and had dark tint to them. 7. Suite upgrade ignored, but did get nice top level room with good views. 8. No digital key issued. 9. Key to Concierge Lounge did not work and had to go to front desk to replace it.

I am sure glad Marriott bought SPG because the Westin at DIA is a good example of what this hotel needs to aspire to. Has none of the problems listed above and is perfect in ever way. The only reason this hotel did not get lower rating is it's location. Cannot beat that in Cherry Creek. Overall think if you have to be in Cherry Creek is good option, but overall I would not recommend it for the price.

The location was easily accessible and building was clean and neat. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning with about 10 people. We were seated quickly and the server was very accommodating to our needs with some kids. The food was excellent and fairly priced. We'll be back!

I got the love and luxury package for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend. They not only forgot to put the champagne and chocolates on the bed, but also forgot the 1pm checkout and were calling and knocking at noon. The second night was the same. I love Marriott and JW is supposed to be top tier. This was not the experience I'm used too and was very disappointed. The service was outstanding, but the mix up ruined it all and they didn't even offer any comps for the mistakes which I paid extra for. I am a silver Keller and intend to complain to the main office

Not really impressed, the beds were not all that comfortable also the room humidity was very low... Very dry. It's better then sleeping in a box (most things are haha) but for the price I was expecting a bit more. Though nice cold water from the tap that tasted good was nice, and always hot water when needed :)

Only real complaint is the beds and humidity, both are personal preference so give it a night for yourself and form your own opinion :). hotel staff was decent enough and free apples!

Over all, great stay. ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES HERE ARE THE BEST! It would have been 5 stars but for: long black hair in sink the first time we used it - the fridge under the coffee counter was off(very warm) and full of moldy rancid food. In general, there should be a working fridge and microwave in every room.

I chose the JW Marriott for its impeccable reputation, but this particular hotel was the exception. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but there was an issue with the A/C unit that wouldn't allow the room to cool down. Initially the room temperature was set to 66 degrees, and after about an hour the room was still uncomfortably warm. The fan would shut off automatically and wouldn't stay on due to how the system is programmed. I then lowered the temperature to 60 (the lowest) and set it to high fan, and this still didn't cool down the room either. After complaining to the front desk, I was moved to another room, which wasn't any better. Although, I did appreciate the staff trying to make the situation better, the hotel needs to address the issue with the A/C.

This J.W. is hip, young and chic! The rooms are a modern twist on the Great Gatsby and the restaurant/bar downstairs is hopping with Cougars. If you want to be outside the city but close to some great Denver attractions, this is the place to be!

So many pluses in this hotel! First off it s central location to almost any restaurant and shopping in Cherry Creek is hard to beat! The mall is just a mere street crossing across!

The view. I stayed on their 8th floor. It s expansive view is amazing! Mountains and more mountains!! The city s skyline is there for you to admire. You re a runner? You can plan your route from the window view :) I mean it will help you.

The room. The bed. Not soft not too hard bed. It s perfect!! The bedroom set up was uncluttered. Minimalist up to a point. With all the trappings of a modern traveler in mind. You don t have to hunt for outlets. It s all there

The bathroom. I love it! Bright lights. Separate shower and tub. Strong shower pressure! Wow!

The check in process is very easy. From the valet to the front desk. There s not much to it. It s painless. The staff is always asking if you need help without being intrusive. Love it!

The in house restaurant is amazing as well. Although I didn t have the opportunity to try their food. I had the opportunity to try their two drinks. Cocktails: their amazing drink that was my fave was the Diamond Cocktail. It s a Ro e with lemonade..refreshing! It sparkles and it pulls you in as soon as they set in down you on your table. Too pretty to drink! It s a good cocktail to have on a sunny DENVER afternoon!

The Ruby Mule is made of Blanchard Pinot Noir and Ginger Beer and Fresh Lime. The only thing I would change here is the actual vehicle it came in.

So. It s great stay overall and just a pleasure!

Decent Marriott not sure it is JW Marriott worthy. It feels more like a standard Marriott brand. The parking is $42 so it's not cheap. Location wise this hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants and some upscale retail. The staff were accommodating. Tip: the nearby parking is very limited so you likely will be forced to park in their lot.
