Although the accommodations were nice, the service and amenities weren't up to the standard you'd expect at a JW Marriott. Specifically -- when we reserved our room we indicated 4 guests, but on arrival were assigned a room with 1 king bed. The first staffer we spoke with was very unaccommodating. After speaking with a different staffer, we were able to change to a room with a king bed + sofa pull out. Unfortunately we found that room had no linens and it took 3 calls to the front desk to have them delivered. Lastly, the air in our room didn't work well and it stayed warm throughout our visit. I did, however, find the valet staff and the Nox grille staff to be very attentive. The breakfast buffet at Nox was delicious. This hotel has the makings of a wonderful luxury hotel, but needs a bit more attention to some of these finer details.

Can't believe the negative reviews about this hotel. My wife and I were married here and we return as often as we can afford to. It is pricy sometimes but all well worth it. We've always felt like royalty when we stay here because of the attention to detail by all the staff and the impeccable customer service. Only complaint I really had was the cost of parking. Wish that was included in the price of the room. Otherwise, you can feel assured booking here will be a great experience for you and anyone you stay with.

Overall sub par stay in what seemed to be a great hotel from the outside and the reviews online. My main concern was some of the service - random employee pacing back and forth in the gym area, over and over, some issues with check-in where I felt like the hotel should've stepped up and accommodated me because I work for one of the biggest companies in Atlanta, and the simple fact that the room was just not four star quality. The only real bright side was Thomas at the bar (great guy), the breakfast buffet, and the room service seemed to be quick. Food was great here, too.

Oh, and I was awaken at 3AM by an alarm one night that was false, with shouting over some intercom that was linked to my room. Was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced in a hotel.

But very overrated place in terms of price and overall value.

My experience at J.W. Marriott started as a pleasant experience and has ended as a customer service nightmare that I have only previously read about online. I traveled to Atlanta in a vehicle that I had just purchased 3 weeks prior and had 1,500 miles on it as I pulled into the hotel. I was excited about my trip as I had custom ordered this vehicle after just selling my previous car that was 10 years old and had 250,000 miles on it. I had waited 6 weeks to receive my custom order and was excited about my first road trip in my first new car. Against my better judgment, I decided to valet my vehicle the first night of my stay. The next morning as I entered my vehicle, I noticed a large, blue ink stain in the middle of my light colored seat as well as the lumbar section that was obviously made by a careless valet. I stayed somewhat calm initially as EVERYONE that I spoke with promised to take care of it . I later found out that my definition of take care of it differed from theirs. After returning home, I called to discuss the incident as well as the VALET CHARGE (yes they actually charged me!). After not returning my phone calls for 4 days, they told me to take it to my dealer (an hour from my home) and send them the bill. I called the dealer and they said all they could do is use hairspray, which I decided to try. Fortunately, I was able to remove the ink stain, but the hairspray discolored the seat and left what appeared to be a permanent wet spot on the seat as well as deteriorated the leather. I called back and informed them that I would like to have the seat recovered. After a total of 5 weeks dealing with them, they denied my claim and offered to have my car cleaned. Wow .how generous of them.

Love this hotel, some of the best staff I have ever encountered. To be honest though it is not miles ahead of much cheaper options like it once was. Each time I stay here the rooms wow me less and less.

Gorgeous hotel with generously sized rooms. My husband and I stayed with our toddler and infant. The hotel provided a pack n play on request and even had a baby toiletry kit delivered. Refrigerator in room. Also an amazing Buckhead location, right next to the Lenox Mall. No shortage of things to do or places to eat in this area. Highly recommended and will stay here again.

Wife and I wanted to have a nice weekend in Buckhead and JW Marriott was certainly the place for us. From the start with the valet parking (cannot remember the name who greeted us) to David, the bellhop, to Bruce, the concierge, and Felix, the shuttle car driver everyone was exceptionally friendly and eager to make our stay great which they did.Bruce recommended an excellent place for our anniversary dinner and made the reservations. David escorted us to our room and gave us all the details on the hotel and the mall. I was glad to see that Felix drove very safely to our restaurant even tough he was extremely busy. It took no more than 15 minutes to get there during rush traffic. My wife left her sweater at the restaurant and Bruce offered to pick it up and have it Fed-ex'ed to her. The entire staff was extremely helpful.

Not only was the staff great but the hotel was great as well. It was very clean. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows. We did use the Executive Lounge and it was great. The lounge had food and drinks available during the day. We will certainly come back.

We always get red carpet treatment when we stay at this hotel. Staff is always friendly and makes your stay memorable. Close to restaurants and it is attached to Lennox Square Mall. No need to rent a car it's very close to Marta. We stay here when we come to Atlanta every December.

Lots of breakout rooms and good sized ballroom to accommodate our large group (500 ppl). For our awards dinner, we had the chicken option. We have the budget-friendly chicken option for all of our staff meetings, which means that I've had cold, dry chicken served on cold, bland rice pilaf with cold green beans a million times. Last night, the JW served warm food! The chicken was neither bland nor dry. Even the carrots were warm, seasoned and not overcooked. This may be the only hotel in the country that knows how to serve a warm chicken breast. The parking deck was hard to get out of at the end of the night with so many people leaving at once. After about 10 minutes, someone came out to lift the gate and take our validated tickets. That got us out of there in minutes. Didn't stay the night, so I can't comment on guest rooms, but the meeting facilities have been perfect so far (we still have 3 more days of meetings this week).

I am a long time member of Marriott and have never disliked a hotel so much. Upon check in at 6pm, my room was not ready. They gave me 1 bed in stead of 2, which was promised with my reservation. The lady working at the front desk rolled her eyes at me and told me to be patient. I called the front desk the next evening to ask for a resturaunt reservation. They told me they would not give a suggestion over the phone and I MUST come down for that. My experience was so bad that I canceled my Marriott card which I had for over 5 years. Be aware.

Super nice hotel! Was only there for a day conference. I would suggest park in the mall parking lot where it s free verse the 9$ self parking. When I walked in I was greeted like a vip guest.

A beautiful international oasis in the heart of Buckhead! The breakfast was divine and conference center is state of the art! There were so many hotel guests from other countries, that it became a cultural immersion experience! Highly recommend.

It was okay. Great customer service, but the hotel felt more like a regular Marriott than a JW. They could use an update in decor in the rooms and fresh carpet in common areas.
For some reason, we did not get any housekeeping our entire 6 night stay. They apologized and gave us bonus points.
I can't comment on the executuve lounge. It was closed due to construction..

We arrived at the hotel and noticed the room was very warm. We called the front desk who sent maintenance up who then informed us the a.c. was working fine, although it was at least 85 degrees in the room. We had to leave that night, not even getting the chance to enjoy the room. No refund was offered and none was given when we requested it. Terrible customer service.

I'm sure some people have good experiences here. But mine isn't the case .they have a interim GN who is careless and does not address issues. He is impossible to get a hold of. So if you have an issue at all during your stay don't expect to get it addressed EVER .It's been months I sent the complaint to Marriott directly and they sent to the hotel , again the hotel is careless. It's been several months. Thanks alot JW .I am a platinum member of Marriott and will never stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location, right next to the mall. It was nice and clean inside. I don't like having to pay for parking, especially with the huge mall parking lot right next door. The room was small, but it was nice.
