Was court ordered to attend a rehab, with completion of a rehab I would get a deferred sentence, but, this place only cares about money and will keep you as long as possible to keep charging you. I was paying OUT OF POCKET, they charged me for multiple one on one sessions that didnt happen. So I couldn't afford it any longer after a 7 weeks of "treatment." To top it off my Stephanie told my PO I refused to take a drug test and that I did "complete " my rehab, even though I had a completion letter from them. I met with my PO and called the director Taylor to clear this up, which she did, but when I went to court the original statement from Stephanie, that no longer worked there, was presented to the judge the judge is under the impression that I ran away while they tried to drug test me, the just handed me a felony.

This place is beyond a joke,if you want to get clean you gotta find it in yourself to do it. I've been clean for 8 years now but cant credit Phoenix House for it. I had an ankle monitor and was getting drug tested by the court 3x a week, but again they kept me few weeks while charging me 10's of thousands of dollars for nothing!!

Avoid this facility if at all possible. Other then having the chance to be in a group with other individuals going through the same issues( although slight weed use and heroin addiction are completely different issues ) your "counselor" sits listening, waiting for other group members to advice you.
Again AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This place really got my hopes up that they would be able to help me but then turned around and said that because I had a positive test for alcohol in my assessment that wouldnt take me. No positive test for drugs but just alcohol. Isnt that what this place is set up for. I had no signs or symptoms of withdrawal, not a heavy drinker but needed help. They originally said YES the director will help you and we can help you but then turned me away. Later, after I was upset and questioned their decision they said o well we are full so that is why we cannot take you. So they lied and were misleading. Also the nurse that administered the urine test just left me in the bathroom by myself so luckily I am an honest person and had nothing to hide because I could have tampered with the screening if I did have something to hide. But I bet that didnt get told to the director. When I went to leave the facility after my assessment. I had to ask them if I needed to pay. The women at the desk had no idea what to do and left me by myself once again and had to go get someone else who with headphones on talking on her phone said yes I can take your card over to this other room. UMMMM no I will go with you I do not think you should just take my card and leave. Very unorganized and very unprofessional....Even the nurse who did my assessment was laughing at the questions that had to do with SEXUAL ABUSE just because I was a women and the question asked have I every sexual abused someone....How is that funny or professional to laugh at. She told me I was being too calm...too calm well not everyone freaks out if they are nervous. Do not go to this place it is not set up for success....there are many other treatment facilities out there that can help you. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of organization is unbelievable.

I was reading the reviews on others experience in the Phoenix House. I'm so sorry that you all had bad things to say. Unfortunately I went there October 12, 1999 and it was called the Phoenix Program then. The staff was amazing and for it being my first time ever in treatment, I have no complaint's. Now I am still clean & sober over 18 years because of God and this place.

FYI My guess is any good review on here is fake/staged. All I know is the experience I had there.

I have been clean since May 24, 2015. I went to this facility with the hopes of getting clean which is 100% my responsibility. I get that so my sobriety/recovery is on me. I m not here to complain about not getting cleaned at this rehab. I m only here to let you know what a fraud this place is.

They tell you that it cost one thing and then send you into collections. The only reason I knew I was that into collections because I checked my credit score and saw it on there. I was extremely clear and forward On communicating my contact phone number and home address. They never called and never sent a letter, yet I was sent into collections. I settle the debt and paid it off problem solved. Only problem is that is not right.

Most importantly, I felt unsafe when I was there. I am a gay man and extremely comfortable in my own skin. That did not work to my advantage while I was there. They take convicts in I m assuming as a part of the state prison agreement. I am in full support of treatment over incarceration. However, when that puts other people s recovery and safety at risk you do not keep people like that there. They were good people that were there instead of going to prison. However, there was one patient who continually harassed me for being gay. As an example he would whisper in my ear that I was going to burn in hell during group meetings. I went to the staff on numerous occasions and still nothing was done.

Not only did that patient harassed me, but he was a violent felon. Luckily I work out and was bigger than him and was able to defend myself. Most people wouldn t feel that way. My question is what do people who cannot defend themselves do when I go to staff and nothing is done to help. That same patient also was caught on numerous occasions relapsing on site, as he was inpatient treatment.

This place is a scam do not go there. I really hope anyone considering it will read this review. It is places like this that disgust me. Make sure you look up the parent company and do not go to any of the other locations scattered across the country.

Do yourself a favor and look at reviews of rehabs and do your research. I got clean on my own and that responsibility falls on me Not on Phoenix house and not on any other drug rehab facility. However, the actions of this company are unacceptable. Read this review and Please know it is from the heart
I am leaving this review So long after being there because I just heard from another patient who was recently there how horrible this place still is.

Please stay healthy and put your recovery prayers! Good luck!

I have gone here before and now that I want a second chance at sobriety I can't, because the phone number that reads 24 hours never goes through. I will go do more drugs to ease my withdrawals. Thanks for all the pointlessness. Very disappointed with attempting to do better for myself. -1 star!
