I am currently going through legal troubles with my landlord and a guarantor service. I found out that I was being scammed by the guarantor service and I found out that the guarantor service illegally was going to be taking two months security deposit from me over the course of 16 months. I reversed the charges on my account and filed claims and Chase denied them. Now my bank account is overdrafted almost $900 and Chase wants me to put my own money in it and THEYRE siding with the guarantor service. THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I work at another FI and Chase is by no means an FI I would ever hold accounts with. I did get an Amazon CC though chase, and long story short I got a late fee on the card. The contact center rep I talked to was kind and provided a one time courtesy waiver given the situation. This was was generous and I appreciate the customer service; therefore my review rating increased. There are benefits to a large FI like chase, but many of them are not realized until you hit a static six figures in an account. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talks

I've been a JPMorgan Chase cardholder for about 10 years. I contacted JPMorgan Chase regarding a problem our client (also a cardholder with them) was having with a non-refundable hotel booking in Florence, Italy. The stay was during the time when US citizens could not get into Italy due to the COVID-19 virus. JPMorgan Chase abandoned their cardholder in favor of a hotel in a foreign, heavily infected country WHEN THE CLIENT COULD NOT EVEN GET THERE! Sad, sorry attention to standing up for their cardholders.

I'm beginning to hate Chase. DO NOT DEPOSIT A CHECK THROUGH THE ATM, THEY WILL HOLD THE FUNDS FOR UP TO FIVE DAYS.
Chase says one thing on the screen, e.g., funds will be available TOMORROW, but what they really mean is the next "business day".
USELESS. Chase ties up your banking money when you make a deposit through the ATM with a payroll check. Last time.
I know the solution is direct deposit, but some employers do not offer that. When chase processes a debit, do they wait one business day to pull from your account? No, they pull immediately. But when it's your turn, when you need your money, Chase says, "No. I'm sorry sir. You'll have to wait."
That gives you just an idea of how worthless you are to a bank. You're not a person, you're just an account number.

ZELLE USERS BEWARE!

ZELLE USERS BEWARE!

While I was training in Baltimore, I did my usual weekly sign-in to my account and suddenly noticed that my account had been depleted by $3657.00 via the Zelle send money function. Something that I only used between my mother and myself a limited number of times. Upon a hasty research of transactions, I saw 1 payment of 30 dollars go out to Yang Chen LLC and then come back within the same day. Essentially the hacker was confirming that it worked. I then noticed 5-7 more transactions within a matter of 48 hours appear on my statement. These were much larger sums of money being transferred via Zelle without my knowledge or consent. These sums were sent without a memo and were not performed by anyone that I know or consented to perform on my behalf.

I immediately called the fraud department at Chase to which the operator said, "O no, this has been happening a lot lately'. Filed my claim and Chase then reimbursed my account on the stolen funds while they perform their internal review. To add to this, they had to shut down my online account and I was also told that I needed to visit a banking branch in person to create a new account. Because of where I live, I had to change who I bank with entirely as well as revise and update all the payment and accounts that had been linked to this Chase account in the past.

Fast forward to last week. I get a letter and a call from Chase. The letter and the call both informed me that I now owe Chase Bank the 3657.00 dollars. The same amount that was stolen from me via Zelle. They say that I now owe them this money because their internal fraud department found that the IP address that linked to the Zelle payments came from my personal laptop that only I have access to. I spent 2 hours trying to work my way up through the delinquent account representatives to get a My manager is busy, they will have to call you back later to respond with better info response. So, right at dinner time I get the call back. I explain to the manager on the phone the history of the situation, my historical use of Zelle, how insane it sounds for me to send these lump sums of cash to random people with no memo or note as to what the payments were for especially with how my historical use of Zelle shows when/whom/how often I send money with this function. That logic would dictate, somehow someone hacked my computer (most likely via a botnet) thus back dooring into my computer remotely and then used that ability to get into my chase account and move these funds to unknown people via Zelle transfer option.

Now, here s is where my frustration turned into complete RAGE. While sitting on the phone in the car with my wife, the Manager tried to inform me that it was physically impossible for someone to do such a thing. That he himself came from IT and that no one could back door into a computer via a virus (bot net code) and do such a thing so that the transactions would show that it was my computer and not someone other than me that created these transfers. To add injury to INSULT, he had the audacity to imply that my wife and I s relationship was so unsound that she perhaps snuck onto my computer and made these transactions herself on my behalf via Zelle. He also added that I should now, THREE MONTHS LATER, follow up with the local police department as they somehow could track online banking transactions and can somehow get my money back that Chase so kindly lost for me. At this point I told the manager that this conversation was useless. I will not pay Chase back for money that was blatantly stolen from my account. That if he does not have the ability to revise the research and/or redo the investigation and delete the debt that Chase believes is owed to them than I have nothing more to say.

I have more to my rant about how unsecured the Zelle quick pay functions on a whole but Google is limiting my characters at the moment. Either way I NOW LOATH CHASE BANK!

This bank will close your account for no reason and hold your money for as long as they can without any reason. My wife had an account and a line of credit with Chase, we sent a check to the account, that I wrote to pay off the credit card using THEIR app. At this point, for reasons they refused to share with us, they closed my wife's account and keep the money from the check I wrote my wife. They did not bounce the check. They took the money from my bank and just decide to hold onto it. We had to go in with my identification and an electronic copy of the check for an hour while some guy talk to another guy on the phone. Only then did they decide to send us the check via mail after 5 business days. So if you value your money, customer service, and basic human dignity, I beseech you, use another bank. Hide your money under your mattress, or set it on fire, all of these would be better options than banking with Chase Bank.

Chase sucks. The 1-800 number sucks. Needed a new debit card and address change. They put my address in wrong, to some town that doesn't even remotely resemble the name of my city. Even though they had me spell it out phonetically twice and it was verified a few more times after that. If I could get a debit card from a local branch instead of being told it MUST come through the mail and wait another week this wouldn't be such an issue. Great outsourcing Chase, really top notch.

I was told Chase was best for small business accounts. They do some stuff well and what they don't do well is unbelievably bad. Here are my two attempts at fixing problems.

1- Me - "Hi. Can you raise my mobile banking limit from $2,000? I'm a contractor and most checks I get are for much more."
Rep - "No. The system sets those limits and we can't change it."
Me - "My credit union with two branches allows me to mobile deposit up to $25,000. Chase is a trillion dollar behemoth and my "business account" limits me to $2,000?
Rep - "Different institutions have different amounts"
Me - "You are my business account."
Rep - "Sorry, the system controls us. We are powerless against the system."
Me - "Who wrote the system? How do we talk with whoever runs the system?"
Rep - "I don't know."

2 - Me - "Hi. Your merchant services has been holding the money I charged a client for 5 days now. What's up?"
Rep - "The system flagged this as suspicious."
Me - "I have one client that makes me use a credit card and as my history shows, I regularly have large charges from them."
Rep - "The system says this is suspicious."
Me - "Can I talk to somebody about flagging my account to not flag these charges as suspicious since I do this all the time. Just a month ago you did the same thing and I jumped through all you hoops so you could see the charges are legitimate."
Rep - "No. The system controls us all and we can't change it."
Me - "Is there any way to talk to the person responsible for the system?"
Rep - "No."
Me - "So some system controls Chase bank and nobody at Chase bank has any control over how the system works?"
Rep - "I don't know. My script says I'm supposed to ask you if there is anything else I can help you with. Is there any thing else I can help you with?"
Me - "Yes, you can tell me who to talk to about your system."
Rep - "There is no-one."
Me - "Will Chase be paying me interest on the money of mine they are holding for 5-7 days?"
Rep - "We don't do that."
Me - "Why not?"
Rep - "Have a nice day."

So it seems that Chase bank has been taken over by a system that nobody at Chase bank knows how to control or even where it came from. Interesting and terrifying.

I ve been a credit card holder of Chase for over 12 years and have 2 personal and 1 business account with them. Never had I disputed a charge before until now. I was at a bar where I started a tap and at some point when I needed to leave someone else at the party took over the tap and said that they will take care of it and the bartender handed me my card (I was never given or signed a receipt). I saw the charge and immediately called Chase and told them what happened and I stated that i m disputing the charge. My dispute was denied. Spoke with supervisors afterwards but they still refused. I can t believe that they are willing to lose a long standing customer that charges many thousands of dollars on a regular basis go because of a $30 dispute charge that they are not willing to handle properly. And I told them, it s not the amount but it s the principal of things. If I wanted to get the money back I was simply going to say that I never made that charge. SHAME CHASE.

I ve never had that issue with my discover cards.

Chase has flat out refused, ignored, or blatantly stated that a simple payment feature is not possible for 2+ years now. I have tried, for several years to privately get Chase to fix this issue, but they have not implemented this security feature, and still do not have a timeline. So, as I currently right this review Chase has a security risk, they've refused to fix - they only accept payment via bank and routing numbers via their tools. DO NOT USE THEIR PAYMENT TOOLS! It is NEVER safe to give out your bank and routing number, if Chase were to be breached or hacked, your bank account information could be at risk!

So, I am now leaving chase a public review - chase NEEDS to add payment processing via debit cards and other more secure means to their tools. Until they fix this, I have been and will be making all payments via my bank - the bank can send them paper checks, but I refuse to open myself up to risk by giving out my bank info, because Chase is too lazy to do what is right for their customers.

Very upset with chase. Very unhelpful company. Consumers beware. Everything was going great when I owed them money. Pay off my credit card and reduced my limit by 2300. I have never had a late or missed payment in my life on all accounts. (I have 10 credit cards) This reduction was without notice and significantly hurt my credit and hinders my home and auto buying abilities. If you want a good card go with capital one. I have three accounts never received a reduction and had higher limits with longer 0% offers. Never had an issue with them decreasing my limits more increasing.
