Service was so rude in store. Asked to check if an item was in stock as it stated there was online but the sales assistant wouldn t even check their system and just said no. Terrible especially since it s Christmas right now

Great selection and service. I just wish they'd pack items better when ordering online. On three different occasions my item arrived broken due to insufficient packaging. They were very apologetic, and promptly sent replacements, but that is a hassle because of duty charges.

worst customer service I have ever met at Johnn Lewis. Try to buy a baby car seater and stuff sent me to the customer service reception . Stuff in customer service said that question is not for them to answer. Extremely unfriendly and irresponsible!

A large warehouse in the style of the late Chiado warehouses with free bathrooms in London which, as those who know London even paid for, are a rarity and experience being on Oxford street shopping and needing to go to the bathroom ...!
In addition, they have a restaurant and serve good and cheap meals for London prices, which is not really a cheap city.

I love John Lewis! I ve given 5 stars because it s still better to shop there than anywhere else, but there s definitely a few staff members that don t like being asked questions. Multiple times I ve asked for help and about 30% of the time you get a face and a huff.

Going to buy a new mattress at the Oxford Street store was an unparalleled buying experience the like of which only John Lewis can provide. If you can, you should speak to David. His knowledge of mattresses, who makes them, how they are made, and how that translates into the perfect choice for you, can only be described as 'expert'. He was tireless in his commitment to helping us, dedicating boundless energy and enthusiasm. The benefit of his experience and personal attention cannot be overstated. It would be impossible to match this service online. Take the time, go to the store yourself. You won't regret it.

Frustratingly inconsistent but everyone knows that...

Frustratingly inconsistent but everyone knows that. This trip I was stumped by a lack of dimensions on "deep" fitted sheets How deep is deep? Standard packs have 3 dimensions but deep fitted sheets only have 2 dimensions. Asked staff for the missing number... helpfully unable to help.
Took the standard sheets. They fitted fine but is it just me or has the quality of the material fallen? A quick comparison with our older sheets suggests that quality has clearly dropped. That unfortunately has been going on for decades so not really surprising. Hard to find good quality any more. Even the word "quality" has been corrupted by the marketeers and now means cheap and poor. Sad.

Clueless Saturday staff. Told us it would be easier if we just looked at their website to answer a simple question. The whole reason we were there was because it was not on their website hence why we made the hour trip in to actually see the product and talk to a member of staff. In the end we bought it elsewhere.

Was looking to purchase a new 4k TV. Three people serving customers and not giving any attention or acknowledgement to other customers. One elderly staff member choose to ignore me altogether after he had finished chatting about immigration to another elderly customer. Believe I got hard looks from them. I approached another staff member but was told he only deals with LG. He called the elderly staff memeber over to assist. However on his way he choose to approach a lady and ask her if she needed assistance. Totally ignored and embarrassed I choose to leave the store. You will not be getting my money every again.

Too many staff on the floor - most of them didn't know anything and just pass you along to the next person. Got passed on to 5 different store assistants only to be told at the end of it that the product I was after was only available online... Not impressed at all
