Had around 10mins to locate a popular Xmas toy. Glad to say the staff were able to direct me, paid for it and escaped the store out the fire exit. Result!
Enormous flagship John Lewis store, which clearly has a lot of money spent on it to keep it up to scratch. I'm not one for shopping, but can spend a long time wishing my earnings away in many of their departments! Great Waitrose food hall in the basement too, so great if you want to put together a picnic to have in one of the nearby parks.
The go to place for your household needs. JL also runs price matching programme provided the prices are in stores and not from online
Good department store with friendly and helpful staff.
The best service and the best selection in all floors, I was lucky to find a few late sale bargains too!
Excellent customer service and quality products. Their unique additional year's guarantee on top of the manufacturer guarantee is superb.
Great place to shop, rest from shopping, browse free Internet and drink a cheap cup of tea
Seller very helpful. Lot of choice and price range good. It is very spacious and you can find all the important brands.
Amazing selection of products that are really good quality and fantastic customer service. Can be quite busy but there are cafes and toilets on each floor for when you're feeling tired or just need to grab a bite to eat whilst shopping.
Very complete department store of different brands with convenient prices
Large fashion store, accessories, shoe store, perfumery, fabrics and haberdashery, bed and table linen, cafeteria. It has good prices. Same chain as Peter Johns in Sloane square.
A sweet shop near Silverbridge and has a great cafe
Favorite shop, can spend the day in it has everything
They have very nice clothes in all the departments. And affordable prices
I was shopping for men's clothes. John Lewis rarely disappoints and the store was up to its usual standard.
Always impressed by range, service, warranty and ability to cope effortlessly with seasonal crowds
You can never go wrong here. They have everything you need. Customer service is on point, shop layout is great for customers of all ages. Unlike Debenham whose escalator is always out of service with only 2 lifts this place is focused on getting customers needs first
Last time I will shop in John Lewis. Bought a Samsung Tablet for my 9 years old son and within the 12 months guarantee, the tablet developed a fault. took it back to John Lewis in Croydon and been told by one of the ladies that if it is not repairable then they will replace the tablet. After nearly 4 weeks and few phone calls that I had to wait over 15 minutes on the phone to be told that the tablet is not covered the guarantee although the tablet was in very good condition. they said that it was my son's fault. What Rubbish answer. The fact is that the socket inside the tablet is so tiny and week which makes it manufacture fault design. My son is sooooo upset and started crying in the car when we left the store.
John Lewis "YOUR GUARANTEE IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER "
NEVER AGAIN TO ENTER JOHN LEWIS STORE
Even the sales were expensive....only for high end designer brands...
The nicest mothers room of any of the Department stores I visited in London.
Great customer experience. Helpful staff and everything is laid out in a logical manner.
Very well set up store. Great variety of products, very friendly and helpful staff and there is an John Lewis Exchange as well. You can chose from the great variety of fashion brands, electronics and cosmetics. I really love the customer service there - one of the best I have ever received.
Huge range. quite big so you need tine to look properly:)
It's very warm, it covers all the questions! It has good attention.
Best kitchen / home selection in London together with the most helpful staff.
Unfortunately the roof top seating is closed and food is limited
They have one entire floor with electronic items and gadgets. Definitely worth checking.
Lift took ages. 5th floor Staff was talking to each other instead of helping customers. Felt awkward interrupting them.
Been attending this store since it opened and the service and professionalism of all the staff is second to none. Ambience is always top class. My only critic i, toilet facility should be made available...
Rightfully the department store chain's flagship. Accessible and friendly with a huge selection of own-branded and third party products across several floors. Lots of places to eat and drink. A shopping pleasure!
My preferred for department store for many years. Nice environment with decent prices - no silly 'West End' mark-ups. Staff tend to go that bit further to help than in other places.
I used to work here at a Clinique counter back in 2014, I still have nightmares about it, the manager of the country Katy Nunn ( now Estee Lauder trainer) had a history of bullying staffs, she bullied me and my other girls. When I reported to the area manager of Clinique and the floor manager nothing was done as she was friends with both of them. I had to have two years of counselling and therapy because of it.
A fabulous store, to my mind scores highly for practical household items - Selfridegs up the road is the place for brands. Nice cafe option upstairs. Staff and customer service standards are always excellent in my opinion and the store has adopted a price matching policy so a "no brainer" to shop here.
Great selection, they will match a price if you find product cheaper somewhere else
Possibly the best JL in the country. Cafes upstairs could do with a refurb.
Great place to shop, fantastic friendly staff and a great variety of products, and don't forget the price promise, never knowingly under sold and the Two year guarantee! If you like this review, can you please click the like symbol below. Thank you!
Everything you could need - generally good quality products. Waitrose food hall on the Lower Ground floor too.
Unfortunately had a very unhelpful and rude lady assistant in the toy department. The dolls pushchair I wanted to buy wasn't one that was out on display but was on the shelf boxed to buy. I asked for some information about it and was told by the assistant that I should come back in two weeks when they might be on display for Christmas. I have always had great service in John Lewis but I won't be going back to the toy department.
I needed to take back an item that had failed through (I assume) no fault of theirs, and it was very efficiently handled - directed to the right place, they asked all the questions & gave the warnings they needed, then repair complete spot on schedule, and collected with equal efficiency. Very impressive.
I do feel it is a bit un-organised and difficult to find what you are looking for. A disaster to park in the vicinities and over-crowded in the weekend. Menwear' staff are quite nonchalant and not eager to help out, so not quite what I expected on my first visit.
My favourite shop with the greatest customer service ever
Wonderful customer service from so many different areas within the store. As a guide dog owner, my experience was made a lot easier by such helpful staff members. It just goes to show that good customer service really does go a long way and I will certainly be returning in the future
It really would help if there were more staff on the floors, otherwise a fantastic shopping experience, and the cafe is good too!
My favourite branch for John Lewis, huge store very well organised. It's great.
Member of staff was very helpful when I was trying to choose a good suitcase
