Probably the worse experience at a Joes Crabshack EVER! The hostess sat us, and as we were sitting the waitress yells at them, "you give somebody that table because I'm not taking it" once seated, the waiter assigned was pretty decent but the FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. We were hungry and were looking for seafood to satisfy our appetite and it was ridiculous! The crawfish and crab were hard and over cooked! The only thing decent enough to eat was the corn! If we are going to spend $70 bucks we at least want the food to be appetizing! Never going back to this place!

We just wanted to sit and relax and have drinks. There was a 45 min wait. No big deal. We just didn't want to wait so went somewhere else.

Food was fresh and hot and came out quick. Wait staff was attentive and served us with enthusiasm. It was an hour and a half wait due to the 50% restrictions . But the ocean is directly across from and was a nice beach walk. There is also a taco truck for a holdover snack.

the food was ok, drinks are expensive and the prices aren't shown anywhere. kids play area is nice for young kids.

The food was great but sitting outside was terrible because I couldn't eat without birds and flys surrounding me

Its Joe's Crab Shack. Just like any other Joe's. Bonus for this location is plenty of parking which is good since it's on the seawall and most places have limited parking.

Literally drive from Rosenberg in fort bend county to this location to eat their crab dip. Which is amazing. The waiter was great to!

This is my first and last time to ever come to this location.. Nice establishment but very poor food, staff, & management... Only half my order was put in.. So my son had to wait and extra 20 minutes for his food to be brought out after mine.. Not once did they bring me utensils.. Had to keep reminding them to do so.. Never offered refill on drinks... Had to keep tracking down my waiter... Overall disappointment of establishment... Don't recommend it at all..

Best place in Galveston for crab legs in the way of variety ( snow, king ,dungeness, sweet) and price.
Called 5 other restaurants and most place in Galveston serve crab meat dishes, but not crab legs! Another restairant had crab legs but only dungeness crab. I knkw it's a chain but they dont call it Joe's CRAB Shack
for no reason!!!!

Overall out experience was good! The food could have been better but we were lucky enough to sit at the bar with Alexis and she saved the night for us! She served up great drinks and good conversation! We will be back! Thank you Alexis!

We had a great waiter and to the food was very good.

Menu is not what they bring to the table. Waiter does not know the answer to anything on menu. I ordered chicken tenders and they brought me a few chicken bites and tried to pass it off as tenders.

Food was good and I loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was one of the best I've had in a long time and they have sweet souvenirs.

The food here is very plain/ had no flavor and the portions are extremly small. Our server kept forgetting we were even there. I waited a long time for a refill on my drink. Very disapointing !

Lobster was ice cold and steak was raw. Horrible dinner!!!!!

Ridiculous. Waited 40 minutes to receive drinks, got food before the drinks. Drinks arrived and we did not know what they were, they were all identical in looks but all different drinks. Drinks were remade and still did not arrive until after the food. Drinks not comped. Foreign staff claimed to not understand requests and argued when we tried to explain. Then continued to serve the table behind us flawlessly and with no trouble understanding explanations. Manager called my friend a racist for letting them know our foreign waitress was having trouble understanding our order. New waitress was wonderful. Be wary of foreign staff.

It was good. Could have had better service in that it was a little bobble headed but she was enthusiastic. Food was good. Some better than other components. Good all atound.

Love the food! People are so friendly and helpful! Food portions are just the right size... Delicious! Because its a little pricy I don't go as often as I would like but its well worth the cost!

I celebrated my 71st birthday at Joe's and was delighted with crabs,corn,shrimp and sausage and the wonderful service!! It was marvelous.

I'm a single mom with 2 little boys came on a week day, no one even asked what we wanted for drinks, we sat there for 30min before leaving. Then as soon as someone sees me leaving they ask what we want? Never again.

Food was excellent. Waitstaff was very friendly and did a great job with my grandkids who are 10, 9 and 6. I highly recommend this location.

Another visit yet .Ore crappy service and cold food

We have eaten at other Joe's and love them. However, this one (or maybe this time) it was horrible. Our appetizer of nachos was fantastic and arrived speedily. We rarely saw our waiter. We had ordered 2 children's meals and only got one, it took 15 minutes for our waiter to come back and still no 2nd meal. I ordered tilapia, shrimp skewer and shrimp mac and cheese. Everything on my plate was cold except the fish. My spouse ordered clams that came out cold with no butter. The manager removed the missing kids meal and the price of my meal that wasn't eaten. I found the total experience disappointing and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This restaurant was everything a beach place should be. It had a great atmosphere and the staff were professional and very friendly. The food was amazing. I would recommend that you try this amazing place.

The food was over cooked and the burgers where very bland with no flavor. We will not be going back.

We decided to stick with a familiar restaurant knowing we wanted the crab steam pots being on vacation craving some seafood. We realized our waiter may have been new since he had to ask about anything we had a question on, which was fine-better to be be correct than get it wrong. We were patient and ordered apps and then our food. We got our order and realized my husband was missing his lobster, one kid was missing corn and the other missing shrimp - pretty important parts especially since it was 3 out of the 4 orders! Our waiter never stopped over to check in, the girl who delivered the food tried to sort it out. We also asked for some seasoning and it never came until we got to the third person and the manager was over after we requested to talk with him so he knew what was going on. We finally got the lobster and shrimp, the manager actually had another pot ordered for us at no charge, which was was nice but we didn t request it. Never got the corn and then it finally came out after a few requests. The kids meals also come with ice cream and when I mentioned they were ready for it the waiter again had to ask despite reading him the menu stating it came with the meal. He then came back over and clarified it is included but it had to be requested, at that point we just wanted to get out and finish the night. We got the bill and even after the manager said he took care of us on the bill we were actually charged for the corn that originally came with the meal and we never received - yes I know it was silly but at that point with all the mis-haps, lack of attention from the waiter and then to be overcharged we were done. They did take the charge off after I brought it up but I m pretty sure we are done with Joe s, way too much work on our part to be paying the prices they charge.

We sat on the patio because we had our puppy. The table was facing Seawall Blvd and the gulf and was perfect. A nice breeze kept us cool. Our server Enrique was very attentive, friendly and we received 5 star service.
It was a great dining experience.

There was difficulty in getting our orders out to the table with a long wait. The manager said it was because we ordered different sides and orders were delayed. I think I was the only one that ordered my food just like it was from the menu and 10 plates came out of kitchen while I had to wait watching others eat their meals. Macaroni was greasy and sweet potatoes fries were substituted on a plate that should have have regular fries, sweet potatoes weren't even done. Our waitress was amazing. Kitchen staff needed lots of help or retraining. Manager did remove some items that were bad from some tickets, but basically gave off the idea that food would have been out sooner if we had not changed sides and things when we placed our order. I really dont think he realized what he was saying when he was saying it.

The two ladies that took care of me today were beyond nice. They are the reason for which I'll come back to this location, plus the food was very very good.

Never really all that good no matter the location. Fried fried and more fried. Only went because others wanted to.

Liked cause it was in Galveston,TX n the breeze outside was nice. Be sure if Ya go here in the summer where light clothing cause it's hot.

Terrible service seem got seated fast but took 30 mins to serve us. Plenty of waiters around just standing around talking to one another.more than two asked us did someone see us we said no and they just tell us they gonna get seine and go about there business.THIS LOCATION SUCKS!!!!

Meh. Snow crab and lobster didn't seem fresh. Queen crab, however, was excellent!

Average and Bland Tasting Food. Slow and Lackadaisical Service typical of a high Server Turnover Establishment.
Priced at least $4 to $5 Dollars Higher per Entree than worth.

Great food but geez the price! The service is still worth a tip!

Wonderful evening. Food came out really fast. Drinks too. Everything was prepared to perfection. Server was very helpful during ordering and after. Jaymes was a delight. He was attentive, knowledgeable, courteous & professional.

Food was good, only problem I had was the rice was undercooked and hard.

Tko punch was the best drink on the menu... shark bite ugh it was ok. And the coconut shrimp doesn't taste like coconut, just jumbo fried shrimp basically. Waitress was great... probably go again and order something different.

My boys want to eat here every time we come to Galveston

Food was excellent, service was excellent would definition recommend! I had surf and tied, sirloin with grilled shrimp. The mashed potatoes were home style with skin on, they were delicious! My steak was cooked exactly medium rare, juicy and with fall apart perfection.

Amazing !! Make sure you stop here. Excellent management and food was cooked exactly how we like it. All you can eat Shrimp Wednesday and PET FRIENDLY !!! Management and staff made us feel so welcome. TYSM everyone @ Galveston Joe s and we will DEFINITELY be back :)

Still a great place to eat. I understand the importance of updating but I like the old Joe's building better

The appetizers were good if not a little bit heavy. There weren't many other customers. The best part was the dip.

This Joe's was far more appealing to me than the one's in Houston. I love the wait staff, the food was honestly very good.

Terrible service! Over charged us, hair in my mothers food. Waitress continued to get the orders wrong. The manager was rude and did not offer to comp anything! I've been eating at Joe's for years and I have to say this was the worse of them all!!! Have family coming in in June will definitely be telling them to steer clear! Will Never return!!!! What a mothers day!

We drove 60 miles just to eat at our favorite place absolutely best around

A good place the food is very rich and the service better

The service was not like we've always experienced at any Joe's, usually the service is amazing no matter how crowded. This is the 1st Joe's I've been to where there were mistakes on our order, the few waiters that helped us were not attentive, and the food was not on point.

Hostess greet us very friendly. Food was excellent and big portions. We had shrimp and fish. Kids menu great selection we had kids cheeseburger with fries and corn on the cob. Server was on top of everything. Location it s fabulous across from the beach!!

INCREDIBILE. The best King craws that I eat in my life.

Dont go unless you're going to eat some crab. They make it guud. Service was guud too. But the potatoes last time werent cooked fully. Corn slightly mushy too. Other than that great.
