I made a reservation on Sunday 10th for 3 people at 5.15 pm I arrived at 4.45 pm and they told me that my table was ready (they didn't ask me if I wanted a table inside or outside) they gave me a table outside and then to order the drinks I asked to change the place because my daughter was cold (5 pm) the manager told me that it was not possible, I told him that I could wait for a table and the very rude man with a bad aptitude told me that if I wanted to wait 2 hours around the table was my problem ........ I feel sad because I really liked eating at Joe's

Food

I have to admit I've been to Joe's a few times but this was very different! Let me start off by saying that I absolutely loved my server! Her name is Betsey! She was very attentive to our needs and she definitely made sure we got everything we asked for! Also the food was hot and amazing! The food and drink presentation was immaculate and the restaurant alone was nice! Plus it's on the sea wall in Galveston so I think that just makes the experience that more worth 5 stars to me! GO visit "Betsey"! Lastly, the restroom was so clean it was shocking! I will definitely visit again..... Real soon!

I love this place but it is to much of season on the crawfish and not enough juice when they broil the crawfish in its water they don't know what to do my next visit here won't be until thirty days from today so I hope that they can cook this seafood right so here's a tip for you lighten up on the season and let us taste more of a buttery savory flavor and a lemony twist or else it shall be cut off from the seawall and I mean that.

Awful. The fish was burnt, sent back, and another fish was brought burnt. The shrimp and veggie skewer was also overcooked, to the point the shrimp was bitter. The shrimp mac and cheese tasted super watered down. Service was also pretty bad, there were maybe three other tables when we arrived but we still spent the majority of our visit waiting for our server to appear/ come back.

Garbage, the staff (management) knew there was an issue with the calamari but sent it out anyways. After I sent it back twice, told them to just forget it. Afterwards the manager admitted that they have had bad shipments but they leave it on the menu. Rest of the food wasn't very good at all and way over priced. I will not go back. Enter at your own risk and good luck. Allot better, fresher food in area.

We didn't realize that all of the Houston area locations were closed, so we ended up at their Galveston spot on the seawall. It was great! Food was delicious and customer service was good. Drive wasn't too bad either.

It was ok. Not a place we would really make it a point to go back to. Service was good. Too pricy for food. Food was ok but to me not worth the price. The only thing I really took away as a favorite was the fireballs. They were really good.

Not much to say. Chain place and a tourist hang out. I went for a to go order at it seemed I was a bother to them. The door greeters were behaving like teens at a house party. The meal took 30 minutes to cook. And when I paid there wasn't even a thank you. Only did it for a birthday surprise. Will never go back.

Waiter Kyle was very attentive to us. The food. We to be at the beach it was not that good. Calamari was over fried. Shrimp was hard and hushpuppy well they were just horrible. I've be m to Joe's several times in different places but this one was the worst the experience was just sub par but as I said Kyle did a fine job

WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Came in an hour before closing and staff didn't want to seat us as they all talked in the front, we ordered immediately knowing it was late and 15 min after food was served i got up to take my son to the restroom and came back to a cleared table even though we weren't done eating our dinner food on all the plates or finished our drinks, staff basically stood next to our table talking until we left. Super disappointed because we really love Joe's

The place had great food as always. The only problem is why did they have to close the restaurants in Houston. The drive to Galveston is hell !! It takes forever on 45 South with construction but I guess once you get there the view kind of makes up for it. Please come back to Houston or the Woodlands or even Sugar Land somewhere close by!!!!!!!!

Giving three stars because of the crab dip. The steam pot (bbq seasoning) was just as bland as the plain crab with no seasoning. Wasn't impressed. They should've kept the joes opened or at least hired the cooks from the joes that was located on 45 and fuqua. Probably won't visit this joes again. Pretty sad too, because I really liked joes.

Great food & service. Management was very accommodating. They experienced a power outage when a neighborhood transformer blew. So we had lobster by candlelight (actually cellphone light) & were safely escorted to our vehicle. It was a fun, unique experience.

My wife and I showed up to a very disorganized restaurant tonight. Never made it to the drinks or food. We finally were seated and then waited. Finally a nice young lady came by and asked if we had been waited on, and asked us to be patient because they were in the middle of shift change. She walked off, I then looked around and noticed most the place was not eating and many were without drinks. Who's managing this place, and who changes shifts at a restaurant at 6:15 in the evening. We left.

My favorite place every time we come here. Betsy our server was good and got our 12 top taken care of well. And as always the crabs were awesome. The wait was an hour but they got us sat within 45 mins.

Apart from the table and couch being a little unclean, the place was flawless in terms of service and food.

We had the house margarita and the coronita which was very well prepared. The appetizers with the crab dip was mind-blowing! We did have the cajun crab and lobster meal with andouille sausage which was perfectly seasoned and cooked.

Great all around! The crab dip was fantastic and we got the Joes classic steampot for two but split it with three people. Good pricing for seafood and will definitely be back! The clam chowder wasn t my favorite but still good and the service was perfect!

I enjoyed the food. Since it was a Wednesday Joe's Crab shack had a deal going on. All the shrimp that you can eat for 19.99. Now when I mean shrimp I am talking about the cold boiled shrimp, the coconut shrimp, the hot boiled shrimp and the fried shrimp. And boy was it good. Yum

Our waitress was from Turkey.. The cutest thing ever.. She was so polite. Our food was excellent. I wish i could remember her name. But we had a blast out there. Thanks for the great service!

Had a great experience. Shanice was our server and she was full of answers to our questions and offered great suggestions. Checked on us several times. Food was good and came in a timely fashion. We had planned to eat at one of the local seafood restaurants but chose Joe's because they have a play scape and our kids needed to run around after a day of travel!

Being from Florida I take seafood seriously. To start I ordered an appetizer, the triple play. The calamari was over cooked and sent back. I ordered a steam pot that included lobster, snow crab, shrimp, sausage, corn, etc. I was not happy with this even though I've ordered this many times and been more than satisfied. This location gave extremely small portions and food was overcooked and unseasoned. In Florida, I was never able to finish a whole pot in one sitting. It was my birthday and I'd been at a water park all day, to say the least I regretted the decision to patronize this location. However, the staff was nice.

This was a late stop about 10:30 at night. There were only a few other parties eating in the restaurant at this time. The food and the service was remarkable! I was impressed.

Worst place ever..Would not recommend it to no one. When you get there they tell it's an hour and a half wait. Get seated with in 30 min..I don't know why they say long wait I guess to discourage you from waiting. .the food is terrible no flavor the friend fish is gross. The crawfish has no flavor super tiny the corn was not even cooked long enough it was terrible the potatoes were under cooked ..I would rate it a half star ...not Planning in going back.

2.5 Not real happy with this one...Service was just horrible and amazingly slow. Had the King Daddy Steamer...not much steam and a little over cooked but it was not terrible. Good portion of assorted crab species and good red potatoes and corn.

Zero ambiance and frankly felt dirty...though it was windy and on the beach so that might have factored in.

However, mix in some waiters with some personality and it wouldn't hurt if they at least acted like they cared to be there. Nothing like sitting in a silent restaurant with zero music while a drunk old man walks around asking every table if they found a his cell phone in the bathroom. For the love of God, someone please help him before he hurts himself or steals a sip from someone's beer.

I would not classify this location as a go to site in Galveston.

If I could give this Place a 0 rating I would. We arrived and first off nobody came to us to sit us down. We had to ask somebody to get us seated 15 minutes later. We waited for our drinks for another 15-20 minutes and didn t receive our food for at least another 30-45 minutes. The time wasn t a big deal but what was the cherry on top was that once we got our food it was cold. I figured maybe it was just my plate but everybody else had the same issue. We had to stop the staff when they were passing by just to get refills. I would never come back here again the next time we visit. I m sorry but no good rating coming from me.

Overall,, the food as well as the service was good. The wait staff seemed happy to help regardless if you were in their section or not. I personally enjoy the rajun cajun steampot. I'll definitely be going back

Went here for my first experience at Joe's Crab Shack, and I got crabs! So to speak anyway. I ordered the Cajun steampot and couldn't be more delighted with the quality of the catch. I spent atleast half an hour enjoying this meal and was treated to great customer service and a fun place to be!

The food was great! Brittney was great and so was our server from the previous night. On this night, we ordered takeout due to understandable wait times. My only complaint is the gentleman working the front desk with the back injury. His energy is very lackluster and so are his customer service skills. There was a line of people waiting at the front desk while he was holding a conversation with other co-workers over by the bar. Out of sight of the front desk and had been for at least 6-10 minutes. I saw a couple come and leave. I kindly let him know that he had a line at the front door, his words to me verbatim, Well they gotta wait anyway, I can t make it go any faster. . He is not who you want working the front desk, at all.

Looking for somewhere to eat late and this was one of the few. As a result, we intend to tip very well (we work for tips too). Walked in and were seated promptly. Server took our drink order. 40 MINUTES later we are still waiting for drinks. (and no, they were not busy or closed) One person in our party gets up to go get the from the bar. Another server takes notice (tall white guy - very young) and brings them over. Someone in our party would like an appetizer the original server (short black guy, youngish and wearing a hat) takes that order but is already upset. We finally get our food (WHICH IS GREAT). Order more drinks from the white guy and receive them in about 10 minutes. Any water glasses we have are not kept full and we are not checked on at all. I ask him to fill my friends drink THREE TIMES before he does it and then it drops it beside me.

HE WAS SO RUDE. we work for tips too but by this time i am furious and a little tipsy. so when we go to settle out, i say no tip. my friend adds a few bucks. okay, he doesnt deserve anything being so rude. i NEVER have done that before but i was so mad. all he had to do was normal stuff and be polite and he would have gotten a FAT TIP.

so on the way out he pulls one us aside and goes "is this all you're giving me?" and she says "yeah you sucked. youre lucky youre geting anything." he says "i was a great server, you're just cheap!"

at that point, i start pushing my friend out the door. she has a bad temper and was about to go off on him. i can't believe the gal he has to tell someone that. being in a tip industry myself (and most of my party), we understand don't just tip, tip well. this guy was so rude and caustic from the beginning, i'm really surprised our food even came out right. honestly, we had the intention of tipping well but he lost it himself. and to actually approach someone about a tip?? out of line! rude and all kinds of unprofessional!

Ok

All around great place. Our waitress was the best. Look for the greenish blue hair and bright blue eyes, her attitude made our night amazing. Plus her service was outstanding. She had 3 tables and us and was spot on with each. Can't wait to come back to Galveston again in a few months to go back. Good people make the difference.
