Changed a reservation and a lady yelled at me. She then lectured me that I should spend more money in order to get reservations. However, her staff was excellent and got me, and my party, seating while she was talking. Afterwards, everything was great with excellent food and service.

We went there for dinner. Extremely long wait but we knew it coming there so it wasn t a huge deal. The food turned out alright. The coconut shrimp was almost overcooked but it was still tasty. I was a little irritated that we were informed ( as the waitress handed us our drink ) that they were out of the shark for the shark bite margaritas. This drink isn t cheap by any means so it would of been nice to know. Plus that s the whole reason we ordered that specific drink ! We should of been notified BEFORE the drinks were made, in case we would of liked something else. Instead the waitress just sat them down in front of us and didnt say anything...I had to speak up and say, where s the shark at? - Oh , we re out of them . And she walked away....
Overall the atmosphere was OK.

Was told there was a fifteen minute wait. There was empty tables and no people waiting inside . We were told that was no wait if we wanted to eat outside. So we went outside. Food was cold, poor quality. Other people walked out because of lousy service.

Was very disappointed in our meal tonight. For starters, filming a commercial and all tbe loud loud loud music and commotion around right at 6:00 WAS not a good plan as afternoon slow time would have been better. We ordered the lobster for a special supper and it came with over cooked lobster, plain broccoli and plain white rice. What a plain supper. We even had to ask for melted butter to dip our lobster. Who doesn't know that lobster and butter go together and should come out at the same time. And not have to wait for the lobster to cool for the butter to come. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. No one even asked how was the meal or how were things. Very disappointed . Had a great time a few years ago when we were there, but certainly not this time.

Our server was clueless. Food was barely warm when it arrived. Aside from the view, I wouldn't go back. Totally disappointed in the experience.

Food was great, staff was friendly, but service was slow.

Granted the wait was long but that's Galveston. The waitress couldn't get our drink order right when she,finally came and took it. Then took forever to get her to come take our food order. Then when we finally got the food some of it was wrong. Won't go back to that one on a weekend and during the summer.

Great place for real crab. Excellent service. I ordered the queen crab, and believed I received snow. The manager came to investigate. She swears they were in fact QUEEN, but agreed they were too small. She made up for it though with 2 XTRA HUGH BUCKETS of . We were stuffed when we left, and it was a great dinning experience.

Good crab and shrimp. Helped me with my grand father when the rest of my family did nothing.

Go only if you're interested in the steam pots, the rest is not so desirable as far as food is concerned. Great atmosphere and drinks though

Order over the phone, food was well prepared and rdy when i arrived. No real complaints. Gave 4 star only cause ketchup wasn't in the bag and I had fries....

Overpriced for the quality of food we got. Had to wait a long time before a waiter came to help us and even then she took a great deal of time just to bring us water. Wasn't very impressed. Love seafood, just don't the service and quality this place tries to offer.

Oh my I wanted to get fresh crab while near the ocean, and this was the golden ticket. They brought out a bucket of crab with it seasoned it was so amazing I sat for a hour just savoring it. It will now become a tradition to go here. Wonderful waitress and awesome decor.

Sorry sorry place. I order Togo and when I got there no one know I had an order so they passed me around for ten minutes till a manager came and he said it would be ready in 4mins. So after me waiting for an total of an hour. I got mad and left. I will never go to joes again. Trash

They first wouldn't let us eat on the patio because they were closing in 1.5 hours. The they tried to squeeze us into a dirty booth right next to someone else when the rest of the restaurant was empty (No surprise there). We left and went to Fish Tales. They were packed but we were welcomed and treated like royalty. No wonder they stay packed.

Had an awesome time and our server JoJo was very very good. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, great job JoJo and joes crab shack

Amazing! We had Terry as our server and he one of the best servers I have ever had! I was a server for four years and his skill with the customer was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend Joe's. The food was fast and we barely had a wait. Definitely worth a visit!

Loved every bite, the gentleman at the front counter was super nice, Sandi was a superb waitress, everytime I came up for air from my Captains plate she was there with refills and a smile. I'd go broke to eat here. Great people, great service, just a great place all around.

We had the crab pots not a bad price. The crab was fresh and came right out of the shell. Food was served in a timely manner. A couple of things changed, small things. No more towellets and no yellow crab tool. All in all an enjoyable experience.

All you can eat Crab Wednesday is amazing!! I loved the food, and the service. Try the firegrill crab. It is to die for. Definitely got my money's worth. Will be coming back again that's for sure.

Service was not good at all. Waitress was friendly enough, but didn't come back to check on us often. Food took 40 minutes to arrive, with no explanation from our waitress. Food was unimpressive, and my wife's crab didn't arrive with any utensils or even butter. Sadly won't be back to this one, even though my wife loves the chain.

Service was good especially for such a young staff food is fairly good. The playground out back for the kids really comes in handy !

Just walked in at 2pm. Waited 10 minutes & supposedly the manager was supposed to be telling guests a wait time. The 2 waitresses I suppose are on the clock are running like track stars, but evidently have no leadership, as the 1st guests in line said they've been waiting for over 30 minutes. Mr. Fertita, Joe's used to be the best, and its crashed & burned along with Landrys and Salt Grass. Whats going on?!

PHENOMENAL ESPECIALLY DURING BAD WEATHER BUT THEY DO NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THE PUDDLE IN THE ENTRANCE WAY. A POTENTIAL INCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!!

Excellent excellent service, even being busy the staff was attentive... The food was cooked perfectly, fun and entertaining atmosphere.. A true must go to.

My waitress was the BOMB! So nice and efficient. My meal was oh so good. Can't wait to go back. Hope I get the same waitress.

It took more than 1 hour to get our food after we ordered it. Will never go there.

Little confusion, late night, short staff something..... Thanks to the waitress that finally helped with getting drinks and dinner started, you are appreciated! Snow crabs where over cooked as well. Might of been just one of them nights though.

Worse service ive gotten in a long time it took about 15 mins to get the drink orders and then there was a screw up with the food so had to wait longer to eat. I don't blame the waitress for it cause she did a good job but still i wont be coming back here

Wife loves the crab boil pot and I like the shrimp.

We have eaten here several times sinew moving here in September 2016. Food was always excellent. Today, however, everything was over cooked. My husband had fish and shrimp. I had redfish and lobster. The fish was over cooked. It had a burnt flavor. The hush puppies were black. There was nothing inside. My husband's shrimp was over cooked also. Service was okay. The server asked us several times if we needed anything else. She never asked if everything was okay. I ordered a hurricane drink and it was really strong. I have had them before and they never tasted do much alcohol. We will not be back. We wasted over $60 tonight.

The waitress Danielle was super sweet n just fabulous. Loved the food n service. My husband & i took my parents for their 51st Wedding Anniversary

Food was good .. drinks were good .. staff was good.. everything was great at this location, the only bad thing about this is that me and my family had to drive 60 miles to get there because there are no other ones around in Houston Texas anymore

At risk of sounding like an old codger.....I remember when the various Joe's I ate at looked and felt sort of like a "crab shack." Not this corporate shadow of a once interesting/fun place to eat sea food. The crab legs and shrimp were small, second rate catches. You would think with the Gulf of Mexico right across the street the Joe's sea food buyer could obtain the type crab and shrimp the better restaurants serve. But nooo, this location serves only the tourist type sea food. I guess they figure the tourists are too dumb to know the difference, and one small potato in the steamed crab pot? This Joe's location is dreadful: food, price and service.

Good food, fun atmosphere, pretty decent sevice. We enjoyed it.

I was in Galveston on business last January and did not have time to eat at Joes CS like I wanted to. I was back in Houston today (June 22, 2018) and had some time after work before my flight left so I drove 45 min down to Galveston to eat at Joe's. I was seated around 5:35 pm in the booths near bar at front door. Only one other couple was seated in this booth section. There was no line at the front door nor anyone waiting to be seated. Great!, I thought...I beat the dinner rush. I waited 10-12 min before anyone even came to my table. I ordered a pina colada and it arrived around 10 mins later. 20-25 min after being seated I got my drink. I only had 30 min left before I had to leave so ordering any food was out of the question at this point. I asked for my drink check and waiter said he would be back. Music was playing and suddenly the crew came out on the floor clapping and dancing a group slide number. Another 5 mins go by. At this point I'm upset. A "manager" came by and asked how things were. I told him and asked for my check. He offered take out food but I did not want to wait any longer. Finally waiter came with my check. I left my $7 bucks and drink half finished on the table and walked out 35-40 mins after I arrived. Let the front door staff know but they seemed uninterested. Based on other reviews here this seems to be an ongoing problem which tells me they need new management. So much for a long awaited seafood meal on the beach. What a let down. I won't be back.

The food is great but the best part of the whole experience was our waiter. He was so sweet with my grandson. It wasn't long before the rest of the staff would come by to say hi to my little grandson (age 1). The staff is GREAT! And the food was perfect. I liked the sampler because we got a variety to taste and enjoy. We will definitely be going back here when we are in the area.

45 minute wait per drink/food order. Waitress introduced herself with the statement, "I don't speak English well". What a joke. Took us over 2 hours to spend hundreds of dollars on less than great food. Very poor experience at this restaurant.

I only ate here once. Why? No front end coverage, delayed service, wait staff is a little snippy. No thanks, I would rather spend my money where people appreciate me being there.

Good food, friendly service, very clean given the volume of traffic they run through here. Not the best crab legs but very good.

The service needs much improvement. I don t understand how the service can be so poor when the capacity is lower.
