Horrible service right away. We stood at the front for almost 20 Minutes before being acknowledged, max 10 tables were there eating. Once we were seated it took another 20-30 min before someone came to get our drinks by then we were ready to order. The drinks came when the food did another 40 min later. I had to ask for a refill on my drink which I didn't see her until we got a refill on my snow crab which had to be cooked. (My wife never got a refill the entire time). My wife didn't get half of her meal and was told they forgot all her sides. Total only saw the waitress 2-3 times in almost 3 hours. Got one refill the whole time and it seemed like she was nonexistant. The only reason I gave it 1 star was because I like crab and thought it was the best part of the visit.

Waitress got my order wrong fish had no flavor Red sauce had a sweet flavor like cinnamon or something similar Appetizers were good husband had gumbo said that it was good they had to get a mgr for military discount we won't be going back

I was there about three weeks ago it was a Thursday a family and my family got together we sat inside near the playground door. I ordered crab nachos I'm not sure if the white part was supposed to be coagulated but it was cold when it came out so I'm not sure if the cheese crab part was supposed to be solid or melted. It tastes funny so I did not finish. While commenting on this I feel disgusted. I remember when we walked in the door I walked up to the second podium they had told me they were closing the bar down because staff was sick. Awkward experience for me! I remember earlier they're closing bar down bartender sick. I woke up in the middle of night Very sick!!!!! I didn't go to work next day! Thursday wasn't busy so the food must have been sitting. Haven't been sick in years;(

Went last night food sadly was terrible. We had the mushrooms for starter but sent back and got the fire balls which also gross. The salmon taste off and the fried fish taste off was gray, dry and dreadful. Service was really good though and they gave us the start for free. Quality seems to of deteriorated over the years. Was very disappointed. Beautiful views.

Food was great but white lady with the weird eye brows gives me the price of my refill then walks away. I asked for a refill. Not for the price and for you to leave. Very. Extremely simple.

Delicious food and awesome wait staff, it was so worth being a lil chilly on the patio to see the amazing view!

I'm giving this Joe's 2 stars and it only gets 2 stars because our waitress Danielle was super nice and apologetic behind wait time I recommend her all the way.... As soon as we got there we were NOT greeted even tho the greeter's were standing right there they just looked at us...so we asked another employee if we had to seat our selves she said no and asked her greeters to help us and told them we wanted a seat well we immediately got the tell tale your annoying me eye roll from the girl and was then told go over there to be seated seriously just like that " go over there and he'll help you... we walked over to the boy standing there and he also didn't acknowledge us for quite a few minutes so here we are just standing there waiting. We watched these two boys hold and entire conversation before they even acknowledged us standing there. We then asked to go sit out side and we're immediately told sorry outside is closed how ever we got there at 9:45 I guess the outside closes at 10 uhm we still had time....not to mention we're watching other people sitting on the patio being served we held off on ordering much of what we wanted because it was taking quite a while for food to come out so we decided let's just keep it simple. Again our waitress was super sweet even when I asked why we were denied sitting on the patio she gave me a fairly good explanation and tried to rectify her co-workers words. Every one there with the exception of Danielle and the initial lady who spoke to her greeters seemed to have a super attitude if it wasn't already almost 10 pm we'd have gone somewhere else behind all of their attitudes but everything had basically closed and my children were hungry.

The way they now prepaid coconut shrimp is not as good as it was before they changed the recipe ,or the dipping sause,

Horrible experience. The fish was very bland. The rice was undercooked and the food was only warm. The alcoholic drinks were colored water. We expressed our concerns to the manager who did not provide any comfort. A $90 bill for food and drinks that in my opinion only valued about $30 bucks or less. Very disappointed.......

What a great experience. Wonderful fast service with such a great taste. Wish we could move this whole building back to Houston. Out waittress Amy gave us such great service. Unfortunately we were not satisfied with our experience. The food was not cooked to our order, nor given proper attention. Our server did not pay attention very well, but was very pleasant. Hope this was a one time mess up for this place.

Food was decent, but not great. Server was friendly but not attentive enough, especially considering it we were there during a slow period.

I would of David Moore stars but I did not like the fact of how they let people bring their own dogs in that are not service dogs. I almost got a fat the dog if I wanted to.

We went there with a group mixed of adults and kids. We got sat decently fast but it went down hill from there. Of the 8 plates we ordered only 2 were good the rest were over cooked. We got them re-cooked and still came out way over cooked to where couldn't get crab out of shells. We had to go find someone at the kitchen to get silverware and had to go to the bar and ask the waitress beside us for drinks. Ended up having to stop at Whataburger when we left here. Very dissapointed. Talk to a male manager he was pretty crappy but there was a lady one also that was great but talked to her as we were leaving.

Our waiter was excellent, best served I had in I don't know how long. Polite, courtesy, attentive good sense of humor and very helpful. Food was perfection in every way. If there was a higher rating then five I would give it to them.

It's a fun and laid back atmosphere and the service was great. The server was having a ruff day but the others where able to help her out. They have great attitudes and made it a great experience.

Our food and service was fantastic. Our server was training someone new, they did fantastic very prompt with refilling drinks and asking if we needed anything
the other waitress assigned to the patio was another story. talking to a random customer for 45 minutes and ignoring everyone else. Making our server and trainee take care of everyone. It was about 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday and all were very busy. The server in the picture I have shared is the one that was talking and not doing any of her job. Although she made some new Facebook friends and probably a really nice tip from the couple in the picture. Her other tables that she was supposed to be waiting on did not look very happy, Our server picked up this girl slack though and took care of them.

Good food, good service. Reasonable pricing of seafood buckets. I give it a 4 because the taste was a bit too salty to my liking.

This is the beat joe's that I have eaten at. We make sure we eat here anytime we are in the galveston/bolivar area..get the crab alfredo it's the best

This was one of my favorite restaurants. However my resent visit was terrible nice waiter just not very good. I've had better sea food at Long John Silvers. My wife had a surf and turf steak was under cooked twice and so chewy she couldn't swallow. Her shrimp tasted awful and I love shrimp. Sad

In general the food here is always good... But they seem to be severely understaffed, it's frustrating for a customer to have to wait 20 minutes or more for a table when there are empty tables available but not enough servers.

Steamed food was way overcooked. When I told the waitress she said "sorry, we are busy" and walked away.

Wished I had went to Joe's Seafood on Broadway.

Loved it but a little on the pricey side. But what would you expect for seafood.

Visited this restaurant July 25, 2020. SOCIAL DISTANCING IS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY. There are signs inside the restaurant advising to wear your mask when you are moving through the restaurant. You are also advised of this verbally before you are seated. Once seated everyone can remove the mask unless you get up from your table to move about the restaurant. The problem is, there are servers with their mask BELOW THE CHIN, moving about the dining room, delivering platters filled with food to customers. There is always a birthday to be celebrated at which time an employee (UNMASKED) leads the whole restaurant in a birthday song for a customer standing in the middle of the dining room WITH NO MASK, while all of the other customers seated (and UNMASKED) belt out the Happy Birthday song into the middle of the dining room. It's a decent place to eat, but if you really want to feel like you are in an environment that is practicing all of the social distancing measures possible to keep you and your family safe, don't go. On another note, the crab buckets are usually very good, but yesterday it was EXTREMELY salty.

It's been a month since I ate at this place and my stomach still hurts. I think I spent more time in the hotel bathroom than on my vacation

Terrible terrible terrible Crab bowl is back in Box. For real for real, shrimp is like that you buy in the seafood section of Kroger grocery store. The season is Not good .

My family and I came in and had the best time ever. My phone was not working so our server Miranda let us use hers too wright this review. She is the best server we have ever had in our life. She was on top of things, and recommended alot. We took her word for it and the crab daddy feast was the best. My husband also ordered the ragin cajun and the peel and eat shrimp as an app and it was absolutely the best. We also tried the azunia tequila and ordered 4, and that was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to come back and see Miranda, she is and was the best server we ever had and we will always come back only if she is our server! Thank you Miranda for all your hard work and dedication. We will never forget you! Yours truly Kate from Louisiana!!!!

Wonderful service at the end of the night and great food. The front house manager was amazing and had my wife smiling the entire meal while she served us and took care of the restaurant! I beleave her name was Brenda and she was great! Thank you for the wonderful dinner!

My husband and daughter loved their food, they had the cajun steam pot and regular steam pot, that's the only reason I gave 4 stars. My son and I, not so much. I won't be running back anytime soon.

Our waiter Drew was awesome. We fidbt wair long for anything.The food was hot and fresh. The establishment was very clean, warm, and inviting.

I was totally disappointed with this visit. First I was told it would be a three hour wait for a table, upon arrival entire area's indoors and indoors were not being used quite strange considering the line. I decided to go for a to go order. I ordered the crab pot when it arrived what a complete let down considering this order was well over 50.00 to only get a handful of shrimp, two snow crab clusters that were small a few pieces of sausage just thought more should be expected. The staff however were very respectful and understanding of my concerns. I think if you want something like this I would recommend the supermarket and prepare it yourself much better value.

It was a summer Saturday night at the beach, so we were REALLY happy to receive such great service from a staff that had been slammed all evening.
Too bad the kitchen checked out early... My shrimp kabobs looked and tasted like they'd been picked out of the trash

The food is not as good as it used to be. Their commercialized. Joe's crab shack is no longer a good seafood place.

The worst restaurant ever. I made a reservation May 20th at 6:15 for a booth. I was on time (early actually). I came in and stated that I had reserved a booth the hostess did acknowledged me or make any type of contact with me. Her head was down the whole time. Pretty rude. I told her I had reserved a booth and she looked confused. I m not sure of her name but she stated it was her first day. However, whether it was her first day or not it is common courtesy and COMMON SENSE to acknowledge guests who walk in. DUH! Obviously!!
We were then seated outside. I figured I would just make it work. UNTIL. Several servers passed our table up and pretended we did not exist. It pissed me off so I spoke to a manager. We were then moved to a booth. The booth was dirty and the manager did not get a wet rag to clean the table. Instead, she used napkins to wipe away the crumbs and left over tartar. The food was fine. However, when we were done and ready for the check we weren t sure exactly who to ask because we never had a designated server and the manger disappeared. Finally, a random server brought us our check. Cool. Then 15 minutes pass by and she also disappears. At this point we were fed up and went to the bar to pay. Overall, the WORST of the WORST service I ve ever had. Please do better!

UPDATE: My boyfriend & I now have food poisoning

Service is not so good, food is okay. Restrooms are dirty. There was a long wait, but I understand being that its located on the Seawall of Galveston. Overall experience, I won't come back. The Houston Location is really good. Awesome customer service!

1st time trying Redfish, it was delicious. Very sweet waitress. Way higher than I thought it was gonna be but the portions were 70% worth it.

First time for us had some crab legs they we're great. Our Server Steve explained how to crack them with out cutting ourselves. So had a great meal.

The food was great came out quick and the staff was amazing even the guy who cleaned the table he found my daughters phone and got it to before we left

Waited 25 min for someone to take a drink order asked 2x before it was done took another hour for food. Wasnt impressed

Went to Joes over the weekend Saturday 15th 2020 worst waiter / service ever, order was wrong our waiter tried to serve the minor with me a.liquor drink. The drink was for a lady two tables over. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had to find a person at the bar to pay my check. I will never go back or refer anyone to this establishment.

Great service, great food! Menu had a great seafood variety to choose from! Very busy restaurant and wait staff performs to some oldies but goodies music! Will return!

When i went to Joe s the food was good but shortly after i left i had a terrible pain in my stomach and later was on the toilet. I think i had food poisoning from this place. Mabye something wasnt clean but i felt awful the rest of my day.

Good food and great staff. Had a great time and really enjoyed the dinner. Very nice waitress from Russia. Althiugh, she may have been a spy colluding with Trump, but I doubt it. Nevertheless, the entire experience was wonderful.

Lots of empty tables so why is the wait time so dang long? Guess they need to get their chat on instead of seating people.
