Salesman and finance person were very professional and courteous.

Damon, Jimmy and Jason were very professional and competent. They helped us through the conflicting prices you can find on the internet and, better yet, showed us everything we asked for, were able to explain everything succinctly, and made the deal happen. I would have preferred spending less than I did, but we got the car we wanted for a reasonable price. I WILL recommend them to folks that envy our new car!

First off, I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this review.
Back on February 14, 2014 I purchased my first brand new truck. I purchased it from Ed. To get to the point of purchase was a chore it self. I told Ed what I was looking for, a white F150 Platinum or white Lariat equipped very similar to a Platinum with 20" wheels and jet black leather interior. There wasn't anything on the lot except a 2013 Platinum, but we couldn't come together on the numbers. Then I got a call from Ed stating he found a truck in Arkansas that matched what I wanted. After talking with Ed for a few minutes, the truck he found wasn't what I was asking for. It was a platinum white F150 with 18" wheels and tan leather interior. I thought about it and told him that is not what I wanted and told him to keep looking. I wanted to buy locally for ease of service and to a support local business. A few days later, Ed called and said he can't find anything like I wanted.

Fast forward a few days. I looked at Ford dealers all around the STL area. Low and behold, I found a F150 Lariat, white in color, 20" wheels and black leather interior. I called Ed and gave him the dealer name, vehicle stock number and everything he would need to make this deal happen. So in short, I found my vehicle and had the sales team here get it to the dealership.

I make the purchase and to start out, I LOVED the truck. Within the first few thousand miles, I started having some issues. The buttons on the steering wheel for the SYNC would stop working all of a sudden. I would need to stop the truck, turn it off and wait a few minutes, then restart and everything would go back to working again. This particular issue had the truck in the shop at least 8 times. The shop never figured out what was causing the issue after replacing the buttons, the control module and contacts. On top of this, it went into the shop for a transmission plate issue, turbo inter-cooler building moisture while driving sending the vehicle into limp mode and the third brake light leaking water. After having it only 13 months, and being in the shop for numerous issues at least 13 times, the shop, and FORD both essentially told me, "We can't figure out the issue with your truck and are sorry to say to just drive it."

I told the FORD rep that was involved with the issues, I had a lemon and would like to get out of the truck. The rep told me since I didn't keep track of all my time going to and from the dealer along with the dates and phone calls, they couldn't do a lemon buy back.

So I went back to the sales dept to get out of an obvious lemon vehicle. The sales team shot me a trade in offer of $25,000 less than what I paid for the truck just 13 months prior! I laughed at them and said there was NO WAY I was going to take a $25,000 hit on a vehicle that was a complete lemon and that had so many issues. The sales team told me that was the best they could do.

The next day, I went to my local GM dealership and traded the lemon in on a vehicle that had everything I wanted. They gave me over $10,000 more on the trade in of this F150.

Ever since, I have purchased two vehicles from this same GM dealer and they have taken care of 100% of any issues the vehicles may have, which have been very few.

While I like the look of the Ford vehicles, I will not own another one. As far as this dealership goes, I know several others who have left due to poor service from the shop and parts dept. All in all, I will not buy another vehicle from Jack Schmitt Ford. My experience with them was terrible from the get go, but I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt to make things right.

I understand every manufacturer has issues, but it's how they are handled and taken care of which brings customers back. Needless to say Ford and Jack Schmitt Ford did a very poor job of this in my experience with them.

I hope that no other person has to experience the lack of quality and customer service I was given, which seems strange looking back on it considering I had to do all the work to find the vehicle I wanted.

Great car buying experience. We were able to test drive the car by ourselves, which imo is always a plus. Our salesman, Nick Karateew was not pushy and was very personable. We walked in only to test drive a vehicle, but found a great deal and were able to drive away in a new one the same day! Also, for those worried about COVID-19 our salesman wore a mask and if you go inside they have tables set up with a plexiglass window between you and your sales person. All in all, we had a very clean and friendly experience car shopping here and you will too.

I had such a great experience purchasing my first car with Jack Schmitt! The salesmen (Andy) was so friendly and not pushy at ALL. I didn't feel pressured, or like I was taken advantage of. I've had a lot of poor experiences test-driving cars at different dealerships - long waits, pushy salesmen, and Jack Schmitt was the opposite of that.

Their finance manager was super friendly, and our buying experience/process was quick and easy. They explained everything to me and seemed genuinely happy to be a part of my first car-buying experience.

I will definitely be referring any car-seeking friends and family to Jack Schmitt in the future!

CALLING ALL NURSES EVERYWHERE....dont use these guys, buyer beware. They lie, they run your credit under false pretenses, the said they would hold a vehicle till i could get there on Saturday, as a nurse my hours are crazy, but they sold it our from under me.....I HAVE AUDIO WHERE THEY PROMISED TO HOLD CAR, AND TEXTS WHERE THEY SAID THEY HAVE 10 SALESMAN AND THEY HAVE TO MAKE A LIVING TOO..) Just purchased a new 2020 Ford Ranger from Jack Schmitt in Collinsville. Chris Belesi was awesome in helping me get what I wanted for a great price. The process was very straightforward and Chris was great in answering any questions about the truck and the purchasing process. I visited the dealership to test drive a pre-owned vehicle, and the experience was definitely not one I would recommend this dealership by. To start, the vehicle had been sitting awhile, and the salesman did not want to be straightforward regarding that. Second, after pointing out the vehicle's poor ride quality, I suggested we should fill the tires to proper pressure before continuing; the salesman suggested I continue, which resulted in an incredibly rough ride. Furthermore, it is a pain in the rear to get this dealership to take young people seriously; I've stopped by here previously with a check in hand, and have yet to buy anything from this dealership. The customer service is lacking, and apparently vehicle care is not a priority for Jack Schmitt. The only thing positive I have to say is their vehicle selection is rather large, so if you manage to get good service, you will have plenty of options.

Friendly and laid back place to buy a vehicle. My sales guy, Alex, was very accommodating. Finance process was fast and got a decent dealership loan.

My salesman Javon McBride was extremely kind and helpful made the process as easy as possible and explained everything well to a new car buyer. Couldn t ask for a better experience.

Worst car dealership experience ever! This salesman was the absolute worst salesman I have ever met. Worked with them over text to make a deal on a car online. Their deal was more than the listed asking price. Then they added nearly $500 in fees. One was a $300 fee because of some tracking devise the owner chose to install on all the cars to get better insurance rates. Then they assured the car had no damage and would be ready and when we arrived the car had hail damage (which we specifically ask about) and a scratch all the way to the metal. We made very clear we had a long drive and wanted to make sure everything was in order. The salesman s name was Chris and he was absolutely the most rude and arrogant man I ve ever in my life met. We sat at the dealership for over 6 hours for what was supposed to be a quick and hassle free process. If I could give them zero stars I would but unfortunately I have to give them at least one.

Chris was a very friendly helpful salesman who got my into my car that I have been wanting. Almost everything was a fast smooth process until we got over to financial and had to deal with Jon who definitely does not have the personality for his job. He was very rude and arrogant to the point where we almost walked out and ended up finishing the paperwork with someone else.

The sales experience with Jim Smith and the financing meeting with Jamie Stack were the best by far of the dealerships I worked with. I am an accountant and I know I got a very fair deal working with Jim. Never felt pressured, never felt I was being sold, never felt I was getting a less than honest answer. Like doing business with a friend. Jamie Stack in financing knew what she was talking about and explained details in the clearest way possible. Obviously knew what she was talking about. Though they didn't have the vehicle color and options I wanted, they went out of their way to find it at another dealership in the region and, again, for a fair price.

My husband and I have purchased seven cars from Jack Schmidt Ford & Lincoln since 1990. We have been treated well, the sales staff is very accommodating and the vehicles were great choices for us. I see no reason to shop anywhere else!

After losing more then half of our family income we tried several other dealers to trade in both our car and truck to get a better mileage car. We got no where. One dealer laughed at us. other said they could and our payments would be about 700 a month. Ok long story short. My wife asked me to call Jack Schmitt and talk the saleman that sold us the truck. So I did and explained the problem we were having. this was on monday Wednesday afternoon we were in a new Ford Fusion. We are getting better gas mileage then the rating right now and it is great. We were treated like family. Our payments are about half of what they weere before and they did everything they could to make things right for us. they understood our situation and took the best care of us possible. We will make sure that Jack Schmitt is our first and only stop for our next vehicle.

Zack was completely fantastic! Shopping for cars is my least favorite thing to do, just the whole sales experience is usually awkward and frustrating for me but Zack made it so easy and comfortable.
