Great people. Bought a tricked out Rocky Ridge truck over the internet. Came from 4 hours away and they made everything quick and easy. Did all of the work over the phone. I was only there a little under 2 hours to get the deal done.
Strange experience. I was ready to purchase a truck. Offered to pay cash for majority of purchase and finance a few thousand for a week then pay it off. Salesman advised this was not possible. Said I needed to make a very small down payment and carry a loan for at least 6 months. What? Salesman had tacked on a VIN ID package which I had no interest in. Salesman said it was mandatory, (which is a lie).
Finance/ Manager showed up, expressed no interestin Cash/ finance and blew me off.
Shady dealership. I would avoid this place like the plague.

The service department went above and beyond so I could see my youngest brother off before his deployment. My car had been worked on previously at a store in Cincinnati but the real problem was not fixed. When the problem reoccurred, I was stranded until these guys interrupted their already full schedule, diagnosed and fixed my car to get me on the road. I m forever grateful!

Salesman was nice, though it wasn t til we got into the financing department we found out about items that go into their pricing that was never discussed with us prior. It would of been fine if he would of took a normal tone and talked us through it, but the financing guy was incredibly rude. We even understood it wasn t his fault for not letting us know because they should of told us before financing, but he was just so rude and arrogant.
Going to be back to work with Roy Roach again when I m ready for my fusion!

Purchased the wheel & tire warranty with the new vehicle, one tire has a pressure issue and has to be filled every 3-4 days. the problem is getting worse SO attempted to make an appointment on line after that failed, attempted to chat while is was on line with them. The number the chat line provides does not work SO i called the dealership and spoke with the service department. I was then told that they did not have an opening until August and did not honor the wheel and tire warranty at their service department.
I was instructed to review the warranty paper work and call the number and they may be able to help! Contacted another Dealership and was told to bring the vehicle in tomorrow and the issues will be resolved!

I had booked my visit online but for some reason I didn t show up in the system. Even though it looked like they had a busy day they managed to squeeze me in. I had two kids with me so was appreciative of their customer care.
Ed was our sales associate. He was very condescending in the way he spoke to us. Acted like the price couldn't be negotiated and we were ridiculous for assuming it could. Definitely don't recommend this dealership. Take the extra 30 minute drive and go to STL.

It is usually difficult for us to purchase a vehicle due to the amount of time involved in the process. I expressed this concern to Laurie, the online manager, and she assured me that they would do everything they could to make the process as quick and painless as possible. We were in the market for a used truck and their selection was by far the best in the area. We went down and met Mark Kessler our salesman for a test drive and that started the best used vehicle buying experience I have had in over 15 years. Mark was very honest and helpful and did not make us feel pressured at all. Mark and Jason Lyons both worked very hard to meet our needs and the overall experience was excellent. We have purchased a used vehicle from Jack Schmitt Ford and also had some service work done there as well on another vehicle we own and the service experience was just as we expected, honest and well done. They're good about getting warranty/recall work done. Had some issues with a tire being bad, then having the wrong one fixed after buying a vehicle, but in the end they got it right and didn't try to charge us for it. Other than that, no complaints.

Just bought a new car well its used but new to me from Justin Elmore. He is a great guy. Justin was a great to work for. I have been buying cars from Jack Schmitt Ford since 1987. They have never let me down on service from either buying or having my car service. My 2005 F150, which is the best truck on the road today, was only serviced by Jack Schmitt Ford. So Sales staff is great and the Service side is also great. Would recommend them to anybody. Even though they wouldn't let me borrow the Mustang GT500 Cobra for a few years, I mean really I would take good care of it. :)
Oil change price was competitive and included many services including tire rotation. Recall service performed the same day and the procedures were done quickly. Staff was friendly and direct which I enjoy. I'll have all my work done at this location!
I was visiting Jack Schmitt Ford to get my old car checked out. I must say as far as going to a mechanic I am usually a bit worn for ware. Dan helped me in the service center and I must say he was a huge help. Honest and upfront just they way I like it. He gave me all the options he could to help me out. This was a recall. My car was in and out. I dropped it off on Sunday and the car was ready for pickup on Monday in the morning. These guys also have great customer service and I would highly recommend. My family has bought two Fords from them.

Wanted to test drive a car on their website. Was contacted by three different people and asked for photos of the car. They couldn't provide any because they did not have it on their lot yet. It hard to shop for a car when they don't have accurate info on their website. I would not recommend.

I just purchased my second car from Jack Schmitt Ford. I still loved the first one, which is a 4 cylinder 2011 Ford Fusion. But I started checking out specs and prices for new Mustangs online, and went ahead and contacted the folks in Collinsville with a very specific set of requirements in a new car that would get me to trade out of the Fusion. As it turns out, they were able to find exactly the right car in the area. They ended up making the whole process so simple and free of stress, that I parked the 2014 Mustang in my garage just a few days later. I would have to be living in an entirely different region of the country to even consider buying a new car anywhere else.
Bad business. They emailed me a price for a truck so I drove out on my birthday vacation weekend to get the truck and all of a sudden they want $5k more and say there was a computer glitch in the system and there s nothing they can do about it.

We brought in our E350 box truck that had developed a misfire during a trip to St Louis. They made us wait for hours while they did recall work that wasn't even authorized by us. And then had the audacity to charge an outrageous price just to pull engine codes. Complete rip off and no communication during the process what-so-ever.
Nick was awesome. He really listened to our needs and made sure we were happy with our decision to buy the Ford Escape. Then Ben got us thru the financing without a hitch. Very happy with the service we received! Love my new Escape!

My husband called Thursday to make an appointment to look at a 2014 Focus the next morning. When he arrived, Travis said the vehicle was still 'in the shop', and they were 'fixing a latch' on it . He told them, fine, he knew the product and was interested, and asked Travis to email pictures of it to him and he would be back the next day. No email came. He called the next day (Friday) before coming to purchase the vehicle. Travis said "oh, I was just going to call you. The vehicle sold out of the shop." If that's how they do business, we will NEVER patronize them. Very tacky.

Also, my 11 y/o son LOVES Ford and has a dream to be an engineer for them one day. I can take him in to Jack Schmitt and Drew will show him cars and talk with him about them just because he knows his interest (even though he's not selling us a car). How cool is that?!! Was not greeted when I entered the garage. I was asked you have a car here for service as a greeting. Customer service was not very personable. Positive note was that my car was done in pretty much the same amount of time they said it would get done.
My experience was great up until I took a check (yes, no debit/credit card capability in sales dep't) to make a substantial down payment. I requested a receipt due to the high dollar amount, to which the financial dep't employee replied to the sales floor gentleman helping me out, "For a check; really?!" The financial employee didn't know that I was in ear shot, but that is where my irritation began. To be clear, Nick (sales) was fine. I really felt like I might've chosen the wrong dealership when I heard the way the rude employee from finance responded to my simple request. True customer service feels like a thing of the past in most businesses nowadays, I guess this dealership is no different. I've been a Ford customer since the age of 15, still love their vehicles but I won't be recommending this location to anyone.
The only reason I'm giving 2 rather than 1 star is that the price on my new vehicle was great and the trade offer fair. The free bottled water won't garner much appreciation from me. The "experience" part of my deal was tarnished after I'd already spent a lot of money; I suppose that paints the picture.

We purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion from the dealership on 6/24/15. I drove off the lot after the purchase with recalls which hadn't been fixed. Recall dates per Ford home office: 11/2014, 5/2015; 6/2015. The paperwork they showed me after I advised them of the recall dates, were letters they received from Ford dated in August. They should have looked up recalls on Ford's website, which should be done each time a car is sold, and they would have been found. I was told this was a practice they will now start implementing. At approximately 23,000 miles, the rotors needed to be turned down at the advice of the mechanic. I was told even with low mileage it is not uncommon. One set of brake pads needed to be replaced, I have had the vehicle 5 months. 2 of the months the car has been in their shop. The transmission essentially being rebuilt - brake pads put on the other end of the car at my insistence (as a sign of "goodwill"), I immediately gave them possession of the car again. The porter had gotten grease everywhere in the car. Never have I gotten a vehicle back from a dealer in this condition. Andy, the dealership manager, offered to purchase the car back from me at $6,000.00+ less than what I paid for it! Andy indicated upon meeting with other managers, he felt it was a fair offer. The reason: because it is now older since I bought it and has additional mileage on it. I HAD IT FIVE MONTHS AND IT SAT AT THEIR DEALERSHIP TWO OF THOSE MONTHS! What a slap in the face! This was their idea of a resolution to this problem. Don, in the service department, was absolutely wonderful. He ensured I was in a nice, dependable vehicle and was very easy to work with - but obtaining a loaner vehicle is part of the warranty. I was not convinced a 200 point inspection had been completed on my car. They redid the inspection,at my request, they cleaned the car after the porter trashed it, and I received a phone call the car was ready. Upon getting into the vehicle I went into an asthma attack (that's how much cleaner it took to clean out the filth). They took the car back, called me a week later and told me it was ready - only for me to advise them I still could not drive it due to the smell. They took it back and deionized it. I picked the vehicle up yesterday and returned their loaner (which I filled with gas) and felt sick to my stomach due to the continued smell. I took it to a Ford dealer in O'Fallon. The service manager got into the vehicle and said it smelled like chemical blew up in it. They kept it and put me in yet another loaner vehicle. I was a loyal customer since I was 18 years old to Jack Schmitt when it was across the street. I will never again purchase another vehicle from them. They acted like they did me a favor by fixing THEIR errors.I treated their loaner vehicle with respect and expected the same in return for my car. Disgust doesn't even begin to explain how I feel about the managers who run that dealership. They're too worried trying to prove a customer wrong - to the point of saying three of them got in my vehicle and could smell nothing when I picked it up yesterday. In reading through other negative feedback, I find it interesting it is being buried in positive feedback. I was at work on a Friday when I received a call at 4:00 that the vehicle was ready. I could not leave work in time to get the loaner back to them. This was the only time I did not return to the dealership promptly when told my car was ready. I was told to bring it back Monday morning. Everything was covered under warranty, and you receive free car washes for the life of owning the car, which consist of water spots left on the hood. Their response below is full of lies. Their vehicle was returned to them in the same condition in which is was given to me.NEVER did I abandon their vehicle on the lot! ! I would love to see video footage of me doing so. I wish I could give them a negative 5 star rating! I refuse to defend my position when I was a victim in this scenario.
Had 2013 F 250 in for check engine light was on for a week. They performed service work and said it was fixed. Drove truck home and check engine light came on and the speed will be reduced in 50 miles. The problem is worse than when I brought it in. Will not honor competitors coupons from Ford.
