Wee had 2 sandwiches and 2 desserts. My cannoli was lacking in freshness but my wife enjoyed her mini cheesecake. Ideally a cannoli shell should not be stuffed till it's served. Any who. As for sandwhiches they were ok and the bread was good. For $10 I think more than an ounce or two of meat should be expected. Also as far as sides go there are crappy potatoes chips and pickels as well we a few soups. All in all not impressed with the hype. Put some meat in it and google potato salad Ithica Bakety.
Unfortunately, they have cornered the market in Ithaca, very high priced and not a great value for your money. If you are in a hurry, maybe.
Busy place...its nice to have service with a smile.
The menu is crazy. Such a variety one would have to be overloaded with choices. With fresh, locally sourced products this isnt just a win on flavor alone. Its a win win for flavor and conscientious purchasing. So treat yourself to breakfast for dinner, or what tastes like a gourmet, artisan sandwich. Check out their dail specials or stick to your guns and get the best kind of sandwich you deserve.
My daughter and I stopped in to order 2 sandwiches and two sodas. My Beef and Weck was missing the horseradish, but we found it a short time later on my daughter's roast beef sandwich. Service was decent, but a 30 minute wait, after the lunch rush for 2 sandwiches that weren't made right is a bit excessive. Prices were not terrible.
Great sandwiches and bread. Go here for a quick bit or an informal gathering.
I ll have infinite love for CTB and its affiliates. Can t go wrong - Bronx bagel on rosemary salt, ctblt, vegetarian, they re all fantastic. My first and last stop when I m back in Ithaca.
Food is so-so. Coffee is average. The prices are rather high.
They charged $1.80 more for sandwiches made on gluten free bread, even though it says on their menu you can get gluten free sandwiches.
ThIs cute place does not make up for the rude and disorganized staff. Forgetting orders and snapping at a customer for asking for fork. Self service out of utensils, napkins etc and they were not that busy.
Ithaca Bakery was twice a convenient location for coffee while visiting Ithaca on campus. Quality coffee and a good, quick stop for a meal.
Again the food and service was excellent. However, my Reuben did not container near the usual amount of corned beef or sauerkraut that I'm accustomed to. Even the rye bread was undersized. Hope it's better there next time.
Great food with a buffet style option that you pay for by the pound. A perfect afternoon stop.
I came in from out of town and I stop by the cafe. They have a great variety of food, and the staff was pleasant.
This place came up as a recommendation for gluten free baked goods. We went to see what they carried and there was only one thing, a chocolate cake, but the entire display was pushed up against gluten containing items. Since I have Celiac I can't risk such blatant disregard about cross contamination. I was really disappointed to have made a special trip from a couple towns over for nothing.
Waited almost 25 minutes for a bagel with bacon and egg, they forgot the cheese. And the service was pretty bad especially one girl who was very disrespectful
Great sandwiches, and delicious baked goods. Peanut butter cookies are amazing.
Great bread/baked goods in addition to a KILLER HOT BAR AND SALAD BAR. Easily the best prepared food out there
Great selection of delicious meals and sandwiches. Can sit down I side
the best sandwiches ever!!! bakery is of course great as well, but the sandwiches....
Great food.. awesome employees..clean..plenty of tables.inside and out
Great selection of food and the fresh bread is soooooo good.
It's a nice place in Triphammer mall in Ithaca. They have good coffee and fresh bread. The staff are friendly. However, they run out of inventory very often, and I hope I get the cakes I want the next time. I wish they made croissants and broiche too.
Almost always exceeds my expectations, occasionally it's only good instead of great.
Excellent vegan choices, including treats. Very polite staff, easy parking. Excellent location.
Their seitan is on point. So many vegan/vegetarian options! Great place for brunch or late night munchies.
Eclectic place for more than just baked goods - lots of choices and coffee drinks too. Come in early if you want fresh bread, bagels, etc. - because they run out fast each day...
We absolutely loved this Bakery! Was an amazing find. Everything was so wonderful. Staff was attentive and helpful. Great little atmosphere. You can tell this is a very popular place with locals Travelers and college students alike. We were especially pleased with the vegetarian and vegan options! Everything was amazing
A bakery and a deli with a variety of delicious foods: Fresh baked bread, sandwiches, pastry, and salads. All the food here are good and tasty.
They have a huge menu with all kinds of food. Though, we had to wait more than 20 minutes for our (quite normal) sandwich to be served and we found the portion size way too small for what we paid. Also the bread was very dry. The washrooms were not really clean. We won't go here again.
I go to Ithaca bakery every day for breakfast. Their croissants are amazing. My favoriteis the Chocolate croissant. I love chocolate, so I guess it would be expected.
The food here is healthy and delicious! There is a lot of diversity of food for any diet.
Crux of my carbloaded college days, staff says all coffee is Fair Trade & ( Organic? ). About $8+ for coffee & bagel with a vegan spread & veg. Cup refill discount depends on brand of cup.
This place was so crowded on Sunday morning I felt like livestock being funneled through a channel to be fed. Latte was ok, cider was ok, scone was ok, muffin was pretty good.
There was a 1/2 hour wait for sandwiches- which were pricey.
If the place was not so crowded it would have been nicer for sure. They need to get a better system to work through the business the get in. Management could use some help.
Almost sorry to leave this review but our experience was just not good.
Great foods and baked items. An Ithaca institution.
Place was jammed pack. Boght a sour cream apple pie and it was delicious
What can I ask other than the prices were high and the pastries were old!
Very good bagel with lox and cream cheese! Staff was super friendly and helpful!
I ordered the sweet Rachael and it was amazing. The bakery itself gave me anxiety just looking around. There's menus written all over the walls and lots of tables and it was extremely busy. But I was there for food and it was good. Would rate higher if I didn't feel so anxious being inside.
They bake. And they do this very very well. Great sandwiches and prepared food. Fantastic stop.
Popular local bakery. Good sandwiches and other treats. Everything we had was good, the only downside was that it was really crowded and finding a seat was an ordeal.
It is a nice local place with a wide variety of food but nothing special
Rye bread with egg sandwich was quite horrible. Egg tasted as if microwaved and bread was a bit soggy.
Very good selection of puff pastries and artesian bread
The sandwiches and smoothies are good but the cake is either too dry or there s too much frosting and the cheesecake is always kinda hard and weird...
Not very good- our bagels were stale, the eggs tasted like they were frozen prior to being placed on the bagel, the coffee was crappy, and the staff were like zombies. It also felt disorganized when we walked in- we didn't know where to start, one person sent us to one line and then they sent us to a different one. Cute place but service and food needs work.
What more can you say about this Ithaca institution? Great sandwiches, great coffee, and great service. Can never go wrong by stopping here when in Ithaca!
Perfect lunch or breakfast spot. Excellent quality... lots of options for local fresh food, pastries, drinks and snacks. Vegetarian and vegan friendly too.
Had the Parisian Panini and it was delicious! They have a big food and drink selection. Seating is more than enough. Would definitely recommend if you want to sit for a quick bite or even to order to go.
Good food, really weird and confusing ordering process though.
Great options (including lots of veggie choices like tofu and seitan) and consistent quality. My only gripe is the pricing and it can be super busy on weekends since most people know how good it is.
Anytime I want a delicious sandwich, I go to Ithaca Bakery. They have something for any sandwich mood you may be in! YUM.
There are options for all types of diets, from bagels to sandwiches, to salads and buffet style items. I enjoyed listening to live music on Saturday while enjoying a brew for the recently installed bar.
A little too crowded this morning. Staff was overwhelmed and customers were not paying attention to the 6 foot social distancing rules
