It isn't rated 7 stars just for the sake of it. This hotel is worth every bit of the reputation it has. The staff are curteous, well-mannered, cooperative. The restaurants here have amazing food, if you're ready to spend a bit. Neat clean tidy is what one will say as soon as they enter the lobby. Security is a top notch here as the who's who of the country choose this for their stay.

The hotel food is too good. But we attended couple of occasions of weddings etc at the lawn, the food was cold, haphazardly arranged, tasteless. the lawn was not lighted properly, the lawn floor is very uneven, people were stumbling. Hotel can increase the charge but should render a better service upto it's name.

Namaste. It's one of the best five star hotels in Kolkata. Beautiful architecture and very welcoming. Been there four times and really I had a great time here. Food is amazing and the rooms have breathtaking views.

Very average food for the price. The lobby is infested with mosquitoes. And the security at the door are polite only to whites, celebrities and sundry other biggies. If you are not this or that honcho or you are not a sponsored entity, don't waste your money here. For example, if you pass through their security check, they will gesture at and NOT hand you your cell phone. Another place for plutocrats.

Staff just ok . Very expensive food but not at all tasty , Roti was just horrible. Food very substandard and presentation average, carpets in room not clean . If you r charging so much , you need to give something in return . Food was worst part . Never to try again .

I stayed at ITC Sonar on my business trip for 3 nights. Really good ambience and staff. The breakfast has vast variety of north indian south indian dishes. They also helped to arrange a surprise cake for my friends anniversary which was real nice of them. Will love to stay there again .
