Our first ferry was cancelled due to weather, and the second 45 minutes late. Once on it was quite comfortable. Very patchy on board wifi.

I've used Irish Ferries on the past and never really liked them, however I must say things have improved somewhat, so I would consider them again for my next trip to Ireland.
We went on the epsilon from holyhead to Dublin, both were smooth sailings and nice and relaxing to be in board for.
We had a cabin on the way there, with a window for 32 pound. It had a toilet and shower and sink too. All felt clean and adequate and I was able to catch up on sleep too.
We had breakfast from the restaurant, it was okay bit pricier than land but as expected on a ferry service. The food was okay but nothing particularly special.
The boat has an open air car deck of youre worried about the sea air and body work, it plenty of cabins and seating and is adequately staffed for the passenger numbers.
I would use again for convenice on the 3 and half hour journey
Great, but it would be nice of the WiFi service was more solid. Even the upgraded connection in Club Class is not the fastest. This is one of the core features that would make you sailing much better. Besides that it was fine.
Dublin to Holyhead service, ship was the Ulysses largest ferry on the Irish sea, well equipped but showing signs of wear and tear.
Always the same problem - weak, even illegible markings of Rajeki
The Ulysee's is the most comfortable ship available from Dublin to Holyhead. I always use Irish Ferries. Plenty of space and enough going on to keep you busy on the 3 hour+ journey. Even on a rough day this thing is rock solid. The faster ferries can be a bit of a roller coaster ride.
WB Yeats ferry is great, almost new and very quiet and comfortable
Great ships over to Ireland .no hasel EVERYTHING made easy for you . It is worth to pay a little extra to sit in club class as you are very well looked after and you get purity loadingand one of the first to leave the ship . .
GREAT SHIP, GOOD FOOD CLEAN ROOMS, REALLY MAKES AN IMPRESSION
Like Irish ferrys because when is late because of storm, they let you sleep, not like in Stena they wake up and stay like stupid @restaurant
Very good service, friendly and everything was great. It would be even better if the announcements were also in German.
Was not happy with the crossing very noisy from my cabin listening to people going up and down the stairs all nite long. No freight canteen like other ships and then to be charged 2.25 for a 500ml bottle of water complete and utter ripoff disgraceful.
Ferry got canceled and we missed our train connection back home. We booked through virgin train packages, I don t know who s in charge, but they should send out emails or notify the passengers beforehand. They let us know once we were already there, and there was nothing to do in the port area, we just had to sit in the waiting room.
We arrived at 2:30am, 5 hours later that we were supposed to, making the trip more than 13 hours including the wait time for the next ferry. It was an extraordinarily exhausting day, will never book with irish ferries again.
Long term car park was closed. We didn't get any heads-up on this. We had to pay and display instead, we had no cash so had to sort something inside the terminal and max parking was 3 days. A very stressfull situation. Take a taxi if you're taking the ferry.
On time most of the time...comfortable and lovely crew and staff
Love Sailing on the Ulysses and the Isle of Inishmore - and I look forward to also sailing on the W.B. Yeates very soon
Innit
Innit?
Cool experience. For about $400 you can transport a car and 4 people from Scotland to Ireland.
Even though we were 3 hours delayed the staff were brilliant and the cabins very comfortable
I really don't like the access. Not many buses go there. So if you don't like to pay for taxi ,it seems a bit annoying.
The only way to cross the Irish sea, good food, fantastic crew...
Thanks lads
We travelled from Dublin to Cherbourg return on the W.B.Yeats recently. It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Very helpful, hard-working staff; good fresh food (The Lady Gregory restaurant is to be recommended); and the most comfortable beds (and pillows) in spotless mini hotel room cabins. The boat is spacious and quiet; the loading and unloading of vehicles efficient, with plenty of space between cars. All in all, I can't fault this magnificent vessel.
Beautiful boat, comfortable. Good choice of catering. An ideal crossing to go to Ireland with his car. Too bad that some travelers, mainly school groups dirty or deteriorate the spaces
Lovely sailing enjoyed the day lovely ship, staff very helpful.
Got delayed due to storms. Lack of information to traveller's.
Used the Holyhead to Dublin route last weekend. Booked on the Swift both ways (and paid a premium for that). Got bounced on to the cruise ferry in each case due to 'adverse weather' conditions. Definitely not the case on the outbound journey. Sea was calm and winds light. More a case of 'too few bookings', I think! If we go again, will go with Stena.
Cabins are really poor on the wb Yates, no sockets couldn't charge anything, the beds folded into the ceiling made a horrible noise from the engine vibration and the minute we hit the sea all i could hear was car alarms going off so basically would have probably had a better sleep on one of the sofas in the communal area.
We have used many times the Irish Ferries service between Dublin Port and Holyhead and also the service between Rosslare and Cherbourg. The Dublin to Holyhead service on the Jonathan Swift is a fast service, not much more than 2 hours for the crossing which is a great time saver. The Rosslare to Cherbourg service is an overnight so a cabin is essential to get a good nights sleep. There is a cinema and a selection of restaurants and free WiFi service. I would rate these as good value for money services.
Good experience, easily on and off with the car. Facilities great.
Best to travel to uk if flights are damn expensive with family . Great fun for kids too
New Ferry trawel from Dublin to Holyhead and Dublin to Cherbourg
You can also do beautiful things at the same time, you can sleep yourself
Very good service, good quality of food and good value for money
F**king Fuming!!!
Was due to return to holyhead via dublin on the swift at 8.30am
with bad weather i was informed the previous day that would have to go on larger ferry at 8am, no worries.
while on route to port (6.30am) i got a txt to say that 8am ferry was cancelled & next ferry would be at 1pm.
I drove back to house an called every hour to see if any updates, was told at 9.45am that now the 1pm boat was cancelled and next boat wont be until 8pm.
This was a problem as i was starting a new job the next morning & i have a 6 hour drive from holyhead.
i rang all ferries because i needed to get to uk asap, i booked a ferry from larne to scotland for 1.30pm so i could get back to uk for work the next day.
i then rang irish ferries to cancell 8pm boat & have money refunded, to my absolute horror they said there is a boat leaving dublin at 11.30am
they told me this at 10.30am, i live in monaghan & would not be able to make it as checkin was closing in 30min.
I asked this guy on the phone how long had he know that a boat was scheduled to leave dublin at 11.30am, he told me he found out 1 hour previously. i nearly died.
Irish ferries at no point contacted me to tell me a boat had been rescheduled for 11.30am when they were aware of this at 9.30am
they could of txtd me like all other notifications were sent.
i even rang at 9.45am and they said next boat isnt until 8pm.
So basically because they kept me in the dark about sailings i had to drive 2 hours to larne, make the crossing and drive 8 hours home to london,
didnt get in until 1am after leaving monaghan at 11am
i have a 3 month old baby and had to stop several times.
Will never use there services ever again.
A pleasant way to travel. No 2 hour pre-flight checkin. Can walk around to stretch legs. Less noise than a plane.
Very good ferry. Great food. Friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. Nice ship.
I enjoy every time going in it, but wish it was bit more cheeper for the kids
Nice experience.
Good service.
I suggest the female staff - or those concerned - pick up some points about hospitality.
Good ferry service, a little cheaper than the alternative for regular travellers.
