We have used many times the Irish Ferries service between Dublin Port and Holyhead and also the service between Rosslare and Cherbourg. The Dublin to Holyhead service on the Jonathan Swift is a fast service, not much more than 2 hours for the crossing which is a great time saver. The Rosslare to Cherbourg service is an overnight so a cabin is essential to get a good nights sleep. There is a cinema and a selection of restaurants and free WiFi service. I would rate these as good value for money services.
