Only tiny and expensive inside cabins for wheelchair users on Ulysses. It's incomprehensible why there are only these tiny inside cabins available for wheelchair users on the Ulysses when the sister ship of the same company, the Irish Ferries' W.B. Yeats, offers generous outside cabins for wheelchair users at a 30% lower price. Staff is generally helpful. Parking available beside the (non-functioning) elevator.

Being from Ireland we always support local Irish company's where possible. Not only are Irish Ferries vessels well managed clean, efficient and on time they're also keen on price and as long as they keep the same business model we will fully support them when travelling between Ireland-Great Britain but we also use their direct service from Dublin to Cherbourg in France regularly.

BIKERS BEWARE!!!!!

BIKERS BEWARE!!!!!
The ferry is new and clean. Where food was concerned there was no middle ground, you either had an expensive restaurant at 60 a head or a self service which was just ok. The thing we were very annoyed about was when we were told where to park our motorcycle my husband asked the two irish ferries guy's if he should put the bike on the main stand or side stand, both men told us to put it on the main stand. My husband strapped it down and one of the employees checked it to make sure all of the motorcycles were secure. Our bike was the 1st in the line of bikes, when we went back the next morning our bike was on the side stand, and no staff around to tell us why it been moved. My husband had a look and thought the bike seemed ok.It was only when we stopped for fuel 150 miles down a French motorway that we noticed slight damage which seemed like white paint from the wall of the ship around the headlight, it was like
white wash paint or chalk like paint, not car paint. Our motorcycle is a zzr 1400 and had panniers and a topbox. When we returned to the ship a few days later we told Irish Ferries, they didn't want to know because the bike had been taken of the ship. They wouldn't have a look at the bike or even go with my husband to where the bike had been parked to check the wall. Also the guy in charge of the parking couldn't give us an explanation as to why our bike had been put on the side stand by his people. So Bikers beware!!!!!. Very unhappy with Irish ferries response. Check your bike before you leave the ship.

Club class on the Swift, Dublin to Hollyhead 13 February, not worth the extra money very poor selection of snacks, a few crackers and cheese and pastries no bottled water unless you paid for it.

Staff not social distancing. Company over booking / overcrowding. When staff approached about it he raised his voice and spoke down to me in a condescending manner. Irish ferries ! The only thing Irish is the name .

Good company, taking a cabin is highly recommended if taking an 18 hours trip.
The W.B. Yeats is very modern and comfortable. The Epsilon is older but still comfortable.

A note about the reclining seats: the free reclining seat on my trip to Dublin from Cherbourg with the Epsilon included a pillow and blanket for sleeping. We could sleep despite the engine's vibrations.
The 30 reclining seat on the W.B. Yeats didn't have anything, the room was cold and we barely managed to sleep... How can that be? It felt like paying 30 to sleep in a cold cinema chair.

Ferry is like a ferry. It s warm inside, there is a cafe and wi-fi, it does not cradle much =) There is still a currency exchange.
At night, everyone sleeps, as much as they can - enterprising Irish people just simply shift their chairs and fall asleep, hiding in a jacket. Everyone who is more modest (like me) will have to sleep on the elbow all night and dodge in every possible way.

Very nice ferry service between UK and Ireland. The Campervan was on open deck, luckily the weather was fine. The ship is nice, the service on board as expected with sympathetic people attending all the needs. The bathrooms impeccable.

The ferry was great. Shame I had to pay an extra 100 Euros because I made a mistake on my booking, still not sure how it could have happened.
Took 3 minutes to sort so that's just over 33 Euros a minute and the next ferry wasn't exactly full so no need to bend over backwards to squeeze me in.
Yes I made the mistake but honestly 100 Euros ????????????
Are you not earning enough as it is
Sorry for the rant

Very comfortable vessel. It had everything we needed. Please could you try and make the announcements from staff (that we're meant to listen to) much clearer - it was impossible to make out what the Irishman was saying!

Usually travel four times a year on the "Oscar Wilde" from Rosslare/Cherbourg return. Main complaint is the poor state of the cabins which are in serious need of refurbishment. Otherwise, it is a big powerful ferry which gets you from A to B as smoothly as possible. Staff are very polite and helpful. Food and drink well overpriced as can be expected with a captive market. Periodically offer discounts of up to 20% on fares making planning ahead worthwhile.

great

We travel with Irish ferries every time we go to Ireland. But this time we were very disappointed with them . They had stopped the Dublin swift from sailing Saying it was because of adverse weather conditions. Instead of going at 13.55 . Irish ferries had put us on the 9 pm uyleses sailing. So it was 3 am before we got home . As to say we were not happy. The weather was not that bad and in my opinion the Dublin swift should have sailed . The uyleses was half empty . And took 3 hrs 30 mind
