Walk on the bridge is amazing. It was very breezy and cold in September. Make sure you carry a jacket.

Nice view from up there, but it can be in a better shape, it needs better maintenance. Not Gold at all, it is red. Nice bike ride, we loved it! Perfect day on Sep to visit no fog at all!
No food places to eat close by! Grab some snacks and lot of water
Really liked it. Parking is a problem on the weekends. And there are only a couple of cafes, so take food along if you are planning to spend a few hours especially with kids.
Toll does not take anything except the fast pass. You will get a ticket in the mail. Other than that great place to visit.
We came here on july 4th
.
Luckily the parking was free not all only certain lots so please check. Parking wasnt too bad we found one parking after circling once.
.
So we walked half way of the bridge since that was our to do list for the day. Yes it is cold during summer so I mean get a wind breaker or a light jacket. The wind is very windy and yes your hair is going to blow away. Be prepare to walk so dont wear so nice shoes if your going to walk on dirt.
.
The view from the bridge is nice and great for watching.
.
Also watching from far away from and using the bridge as a back ground is a nice picture too.
.
There are some trails near by so you can walk down to where the bridge is possible so it's like a 1 mile hike down and 1 mile hike back up so yes there are stairs if you wanna walk down to where the bridge is.
.
Also by the entrance of the bridge there is public restroom but there are lines so be patient and wait even for mens too.
.
I like coming here when I need to let loose. Also a must bring place for visitors from out of town to sf or else you never been to sf.
Walking through the bridge is awesome. Winds is very chilly. Its a historic build.
This is one of my favorite places. Everyone loves this place.
We didn t come to the bridge in a good weather, a bit cloudy, but who want to miss this iconic place in SF
Very Beautiful place to visit!! On clear days the view is amazing!
A lot of walking, and not much parking with the construction going on.
The views were beautiful, we even got to see a whale! My group walked across the bridge and back, parking beforehand was crowded, but we were able to find a spot. There is a little cafe with cold drinks, and they sell coffee.
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
Iconic Art Deco bridge of San Fran.
I would recommend taking the walk from the farmers market all the way upto the bridge, its very scenic 5 odd mile walk which covers the fishermans wharf, fort mason and several others.
Especially when you're lucky and it's not cloudy at all, the GGB appears to be one of the most beautiful architectural works.
It's a beautiful bridge. You kind of have to go when visiting SF for the first time.
I like the bridge It's just sometimes the traffic is really bad and we have to pay a toll booth
Rented bikes. Rode across the bridge into Sausalito then took ferry back to Ferry building. Great way to see alot in short time.
Always a great place to go, even if your only 1 day to see SFO make an effort to see this historic site... where modern engineering and nature come together in harmony
Great place to walk, ride a bike or jog. Great views, especially when there is an air show going on over the bay. There are also hiking trails west of the bridge that are also very scenic and fun to walk on. They also have a gift shop on the south side of the bridge and an observatory look out on the north side of the bridge.
How can anyone not give the gorgeous bridge a 5 star. It is one of my favorite views in SF. Even when it s peeking out of the fog. Be sure to dress warm if you plan to walk it. The breeze off the ocean can be pretty cool. Such a fun experience though and gives a whole different perspective of SF city
Great view the perfect way to spend our last day in San Francisco
So scenic, went when I was little but the pictures of myself in the past there make it look fun.
It has a separate path for cyclists. It was a wonderful experience cycling the golden gate bridge. The scenic view adds to the experience.
it s majestic! and sometimes you get to be in the fog of clouds.
Mind blowing viewing experience. one of the man made wonders. check for sunny day if its your first visit. check the bridge from all different view points.
I want to live in Frisco. Such a cool town and amazing bridge. There is a toll, (I think 6.50) heading into SF.
Very iconic area. Parking can be rough, if possible park away and enjoy a nice hike up to it. Also realize the bridge is HUGE and walking across will take some time and can be very windy with the ocean exposed to you. Also be aware the San Francisco fog will periodically cover it up so might have to wait a few hours for it to clear to see the top
Fantastic Bridge.. walked across bridge for an amazing view.. little windy but the architecture and structure of the bridge is impressive
So much fun to walk across this historic monument. We paid a flat rate of $5 to park. Grabbed a snack in the cafe and headed out on the bridge. It wasn't very windy but it's not quiet with all the cars racing by. After we grabbed some gifts in the gift shop. It was fun playing tourist in the area we live in! There is also many awesome photo opportunities!
Awesome it's are second time there,in the past 2 years. We went to visit a friend had such a great time.
Beautiful views from the bridge when you can find a parking spot!
What a view! No picture or video can justify the actual sight. Beware that parking can be a problem many times so plan accordingly. Going odd hours like early morning, rainy days will give you some space. In any case, it is worth a visit.
Its a nice place for tourist attraction. A lot of Hollywood movies are shot here. Such a strong bridge was built in 1938 is incredible. It has been given flexibility to move, to survive earthquake and strong winds!
Always fun with beautiful views. We're both amateur photographers so we really enjoy S.F. for all it has to offer us.
Absolutely amazing to visit, looks stunning rising out of the fog!
One of those things you just have to see.
The people in this city are so much nicer than San Diego! It's a great experience!
It helped it was a beautiful blue sky day, but the bridge and viewing area was ideal. Parking can be a bit tricky, though
Nice view. Very crowded and windy though. But definitely worth a visit. A lot of history to see and a nice view of alkatraz.
My experience with the golden gate bridge.
When I went the bridge collapsed killing everyone except me... apart from that it was very pleasant and really like it.
Great piece of history. Views are spectacular and hearing the history of it makes it come alive. Must see if in San Francisco
Fantastic myself and my wife cycled both the national parks before crossing back and forth over the bridge.
Beautiful views! Be careful behind the camera bikers are riding all around this location
I walked across the bridge while taking pictures plus took a few more afterwards. I loved the view of the bay and appreciated the close glimpse at the bridge's architecture.
A bridge that I walked, watched at sea, climbed and blasted in video game, and destroyed in the movie.
Friend of the sea skiing, waving to you again~ :)
Visit the Golden Gate if you're in town. It is Iconic. For some great views go to fort point and the bridge overlook. Also visit Baker beach down the way from there.
Favourite spot in the US! One can look at it all day long everyday. What a beauty!
If you don't come here when you visit San Francisco is like you never came over
Awesome place to hang around. Best view of SF. Its too windy out there.. so carry a jacket and shades with u.
08-07-20 Yesterday I visited Golden Gate Bridge and there were lot of signs saying Don't leave valuable in the car and when I parked and when to take some pictures and returned, my rear window was broken, called police to make a report and took 2 hrs for them to call me to let me know they will do the report over the phone. If they know this place is hot with lot of thefts why they don't patrol the area.
"Amazing Engineering Feat"
A really must see superb engineering wonder when you are in San Francisco
Just looking at the Bridge itself with all its majestic glory is so breath taking.
Best viewed mid day when there is lesser clouds wherein you can actually see both towers...
Also try to visit the souvenier shop nearby...the attendants there are very accommodating.
Great walk. Nice sights. Park for free on north end.
Very very nice! You should definitely visit the Golden Gate bridge!
Best part of the world to live and die in the yay..fave of all times..
Good if you are going north, toll going south. Great views from each end. Nice to walk over. Best during the day.
The weather was perfect and my sister Hilary, her boyfriend Ken and I were able to see a loaded cargo boat pass under the GG Bridge right below our feet.
What can I say about Golden Gate but I wanna advise people that please make for an entire day both sides of the bridge. Because it has everything barbeque, Beach, hiking , fishing and parks and what not.
A memorable place and a rightfully deserved historical landmark, this bridge is truly a beautiful sight, with plenty to do. From walking down to view Fort Point to climbing up a small hill to view Battery Spencer, each angle offers a different view of the bridge and some context to its construction and protection.
Beautiful place, best view from Vista point , great if it's a sunny day.
Beautiful place to observe the bridge from both sides! There's a gift shop, historical tours and bus tours are available also.
If you come to San Francisco and don t visit the Golden Gate Bridge, you did not come to San Francisco. One of the most beautiful bridges I have seen in my life. I loved it.
If you have one day at SFO, this is the place you must visit. Golden Gate bridge looks lot more beautiful then what pictures can tell you. The ride through the bridge is awesome so are the views. If you are driving here, plan at least 2 hours to thoroughly enjoy the views of the bridge.
To its left you will see a brilliant view of SFO city, unlike any other view that you would remember, this view of the city is fantastic.
Go in day time or during the evening, its equally amazing in both.
It's hard to complain about this place. The view was breathtaking, weather just perfect, and we enjoyed a coffee and pastry from a cute coffee shop while we enjoyed the view.
You gotta do the bike ride over the bridge. Amazing!
Definitely a must see in San Francisco! Amazing views. Don't forget to pay the toll...
