Passed through the bridge in 2016 while on our move to Washington and it s amazing! The bridge is huge and you can never tell unless you re there how big it actually is! The day we went in March 11, 2016 it was FREEZING! Would love to visit again, some day.

It's a big red bridge! It really is big. My friends and I rented bikes and rode across the bridge. Seems bigger when you ride a bike across it on a bike. It seemed a lot shorter when we drove across in the car. Seriously it was a fun day taking pics around the bridge and crossing it multiple times.

Visited here back in 2006. What a cool bridge. We took these photos from Point Bonita Light Station on the North side of the bridge. Everytime I see this bridge on TV, I can say that I saw it and I remember my visit. I want to go back again. Nice area.

I felt the nostalgia set in as I stood at the golden gate bridge remembering watching it on TV when I watched Full house TV show.

We pulled off to the visitor center after the bridge and took pictures. There is a walkway where you can walk underneath the bridge. you can walk alongside the bridge and take more pictures. They charge $8 to cross the bridge going south, which was easy to pay online.

Date of visit: August 2019.

Ran across this bridge as it seemed appropriate at the time. Karl The Fog made an appearance. I visited quite early in the morning and it wasn't busy. Took a Lyft back to my Airbnb as I didn't fancy the run back. Please to visit. Iconic and historical landmark.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers - Wikipedia

The place looks magnificent and has an interesting history!

People usually tend to visit it in the afternoon but mu recommendation would be to visit it during the evening hours when the place is lit and complemented by the cool breeze, that is when it looks like a scene right out of a novel!

Golden Gate bridge is one of the most iconic places in the world and you will realize that it is so true after seeing the beautiful bridge with your own eyes. There are multiple vista points to see the Golden Gate Bridge and in my personal opinion, the best way is to get to the top of the mountain where you can see both the Bridge and Sunset with the mountains and Pacific coast in the backdrop.

A travel trip to San Francisco cannot be considered complete without visiting the Golden Gate bridge. It's a truly iconic bridge which seen from any angle and distance gives a great view. Its always windy around the bridge.

Great views and easier walk than I expected. Only problem is the noise from cars can get annoying if you walk the whole way. Driving into SF incurs a toll fee. This bridge is an engineering marvel so be sure to visit if travelling to SF.

The experience of Golden gate bridge is awesome. It's a treat to watch the bridge from land and harbour. It's amazing to see and experience the bridge which is almost 90 years old still standing tall. The city view from bridge is also breath taking. There are many points from which the photo of the bridge can be taken.

After a three hours walk from the center of San Francisco - what a rewarding view facing towards the skyline of SF. Just walk up and down some hundred yards on the bridge and enjoy the noise of the cars passing bye. On the way back I took a taxi.

One of California's iconic places there is do much to see here if you have a chance to walk its a good chance to take great panoramic pictures of the city and bay of San Francisco and once on the other side of the bridge you can find souvenirs snd read the story of how the bridge was built

The gate does not disappoint! I've drived, walked, and went under this bridge (by ferry tours). Such a great atmosphere and a beautiful view from top to bottom, close or from far away. The clouds just touch the top points of the bridge. Beautiful. Try taking the ferry tours for a look of the bridge, including right under.

Golden Gate bridge might be the highlight of going to San Francisco. SF is just another big city with too many people. GGB is pretty cool to see in real life, and it's definitely recommended that you go. Ride public transportation to get there quickly and cheaply. Ask any bus driver for directions on which busses to take. Clipper cards work for the vast majority of any public transportation in this bay area, so look into those. If you don't like that, there is an app for the bus company where you can buy an unlimited bus ticket for the day. Definitely worth it to look into that. Pays itself 5 times over.

I really like that the bridge is red, it pops out the scene easily. It is often foggy around the area and the fog creates a very special atmosphere which is pretty nice. This is a very famous landmark in the U.S. and it appears in movies very often. But it is kind of hard to park around the area, so make sure you are energetic enough for a nice long walk. Also, it's quite windy, so make sure to bring a jacket along with you.

When driving into San Francisco over the bridge, you will have to pay a toll, but this is done with your plate. Unlike the Bay Bridge, where you pay the toll with cash or another form of payment.

Walking the Golden Gate Bridge is relatively easy and you're able to get a great view of the city. It can get pretty windy on the bridge, so if you're somebody that gets cold real easy, you should take some sort of jacket with you.

What a spectacle! We walked over and back again and really enjoyed it. The views were amazing with no charge to cross over. It gets a little busy with all of the human traffic, but great to see SF from the outside. Nice cafe and information leading up to it also.

One word Outstanding!!! We lucked out and went on a rainy Wednesday afternoon around 3 and had absolutely no traffic driving on and off the bridge. The vista point offers amazing views of the bridge, Alcatraz as well as the city. The vista points are very easy to spot and parking is free and there are rest rooms there as well.

You have seen it in the movies music videos and on the tv. But nothing prepares you for when you see it the first time in person with your own eyes. Walk it photograph it or just look at it ,you'll love it. Take the mumi 28 bus there. See the ships pass under or the sun set.enjoy
