This is our best landmark in the San Francisco bay...

This is our best landmark in the San Francisco bay area.
Wonderful Experience! I would Do it all over again!
Definitely worth the trip to the top, Despite the cold weather at the peak!
Amazing spot to check out. Great views for pictures. A must if your in san Fran doing the tourist thing. Its free to walk across
What a beautiful structure. Completely unknown to me there are a bunch of WWII artillery bunkers scattered a long the side of the bridge. There is a huge park and historic site along side the base with historic military instillations. You can also see Alcatraz.
Golden Gate Bridge is the most iconic tourist attraction of San Francisco. You can either walk, cycle or drive, it does not matter.
I preferred walking over the bridge, as you really feel the vibrations of the longest suspension bridge of the world.
The views over the city and Alcatraz on a clear day are phenomenal.
Must do when visiting San Francisco.
Good place
Did you know?
on the top of the bridge pole is a strange sentence I don't know what the strange sentence is. other than that when I came here I used to practice driving a boat and the last time here I got into a freighter to look for criminals. besides this place is close to my girlfriend's house
An engineering wonder. Love the chilly air when we visited.
Loved the mist, view and coffee! Plus there seemed to be a police race on the bridge. Cops doing laps.... Lights, no lights.
The view was absolutely breathtaking definitely one of the better days for the view.
First time to cross the bridge. It was fun & a great experience.
Very nice to see. One of the most popular bridge in the world.
This is a very cool place. Literally. It's very windy there and quite cold even on a warm summer day. Great use of Alcatraz!
The bridge is cool. You pay on your way into San Fran and need to pay online. You can schedule a payment in advance.
It's a true majestic beauty. People from around the world come see it. Highly recommend walking across it if you can!
I love the feeling walk through the bridge while enjoy the city and sea view
Great if you go on a clear day, but if you don't, may not even see the bridge.
Landmark attraction to visit while in San Francisco. This is a great piece of architecture and engineering, it has parking options at both side of the bridge with spectacular views. In a nice weather it s good to walk over the bridge and walk till the middle. You can also view the historical prison of alcastica.
A must see iconic bridge if you are in or travelling to San Francisco bay area.
Took a bus shuttle to the airport from Petaluma crossed the Golden Gate bridge. Crossing the bridge itself is a unique experience, for sure. The trip to and from the Golden Gate Bridge was so fun.
I absolutely loved it! I Always love going to the bridge! I love how tall and Massive it is when you are looking up from the bottom area! I have walked on the bridge one time, a d that was just as Amazing! All of San Francisco is so amazing too!
Great to drive across and such an iconic structure it's a must visit if you are in or around San Francisco. It gets pretty windy up there, so if your planning on walking or cycling across it be warned!
The golden gate bridge is iconic. You will truly feel awestruck the first time you see it.
One of the most amazing places in the world. My husband and I took the Big Bus tour across, then walked the 3.4 miles roundtrip, and took the Big Bus back.
Beautiful day, great people as tour guides, and just an all-round fantastic way to see one of SF's best sights.
I respect everyone that too time to march across the Golden Gate Bridge to advocate for the end of gun violence. To all that honked in agreement, together we can end gun violence.
Beautiful and easy to access. Parking is difficult because its really busy
nice place to visit and go places with family or friends good lerning oprotunity
Clear skies and sunny! My best shot is always up the hill!
I love this place. Because we can take a picture. Also, we can ride a bike when we pass the bridge.
Great to be there and great views.
I ll be back.
You go here anytime of the day or year, you will always find a way to love this beautiful thing.
There are too many view points to watch this, and if you like biking or running or walking, you can do that as well.
If you like to hike, there are quite a few places on North side of the bridge from where you get spectacular view of the bridge and the city.
You gotta walk it, it's awesome. Good photos from the battery
You gotta go... take a walk and enjoy it... it s the west coast only wonder of the world
Awesome spot to take pictures, I didn't know about the toll booth but if you do pass it you can always go online and pay for one day pass. Has plenty of parking and restrooms for travelers. We only stayed for about 20 mins, which is honestly more than enough time.
Bring a jacket if you plan to walk the bridge... its a great view but youll be soooo cold!
Very beautiful bridge, especially when it is blue sky.
I have been to San Francisco a couple times and have driven across the Golden Gate Bridge but never walked across it. This trip we decided to walk across it, we started a little late in the day so we only walked halfway before turning around. I was amazed at the view from the bridge and how high above the water it sits. I would highly recommend walking across it. We parked on the North side of the bridge and walked from there, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was that the public bathroom was very dirty and gross.
So many ways to experience the bridge. Each one has a magic of it's own.
I finally got the chance to see the Golden Gate bridge!
You can see it from pier 39.. but it's so worth it to go there! By the Beach and very pieceful.
It's golden gate. It's always good. Beautiful view regardless rain or shine, day or night. Take your time and enjoy it.
What an excellent visit. The bridge and views are spectacular. Visited SF twice and had to visit GGB on each visit.
Be careful! There are a lot of thieves aiming at the car
This is a must see when visiting San Francisco. Not only is this an iconic structure, but at one time it was the longest suspension bridge.
Great view of SF and the sunset. Walked from SF to Sausalito
Traffic horrible don't ever use 25 Ave. Going into the Presidio. It will take you over two hours to get to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Take a walk across. It is fun. The visitor's center could use another staff member. Maybe a volunteer could staff the information desk.
I love that you can see the great bay and other places before you get on the bridge. I just wish the two cafes were open. They claimed to be closed for remodeling, but not a single construction person or vehicle in sight.
They do have very clean and spacious restrooms. They have additional ones in case.
The bridge is a wonderful walk. Even before you get on the bridge there are trails you can take.
Now, I walked the complete span and I had fun. I would recommend that you take some snacks with you. It was windy, noisy, and a lot of foot and bicycle traffic.
When you decide to walk the span, remember people walking must stay by the guard rail and bicycles are to stay near the road side of the walk way. Please be respectful to others and of you are going to walk with another person or in a group to follow the bridge rules.
Sorry folks service animals only on the bridge. The C.H.P. do a great job of patrolling. Bridge staff are always working. But, they do have emergency telephones.
The cost to bike or walk across the beautiful GOLD GATE BRIDGE IS.....FREE! So, come alone, with a friend, or a group. Walk or bike, but DO IT!
I'd seen it on TV and in pictures but had no idea just how beautiful it really is! It just seems to fit into the surroundings.
We biked its length. It's beautiful to look from far and nice to bike, although it can get windy up there. What can I say, it's San Francisco's most famous feature.
A wonderful tourist attraction and a great place to go on holiday! Me and my family had a great time.
Pretty awesome area. We drove up a mountain close to the Golden Gate and got an amazing view. Just watch out for the people on mountain bikes, as there are way too many bikers that ride on the main road.
Golden Gate Bridge is a steel suspension bridge with Art Deco styling in California spanning Golden Gate, a 1.6-kilometre-wide straight connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Opened in 1937, the 1,970-metre, 6-lane bridge links San Francisco to Marin County as part of the National Highway System. Construction of the orange-coloured bridge started in 1933 and took just over four years to complete at a cost of $35 million and the lives of 11 men. McClintic-Marshall Construction Company, a subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel, carried out the project with Irving Marrow serving as architect and Joseph Strauss and Charles Ellis serving as design engineers. Golden Gate Bridge is 227 metres high and 90 metres wide. Its longest span is 1,280 metres. Clearance below the bridge is 67 metres at high tide. Clearance above the bridge is 4.3 metres. The weight of the roadway is supported by 250 pairs of vertical suspender ropes attached to two main cables. The main cables pass over the bridge s towers and are fixed in concrete at each end. Each of the main cables consists of 27,572 strands of wire. The total length of galvanized steel wire used to fabricate the main cables is estimated to be 130,000 kilometres. Each of the two towers has about 600,000 rivets. Golden Gate Bridge is both a California Historical Landmark (1987) and a San Francisco Designated Landmark (1999). Approximately 110,000 vehicles use the bridge each day. Southbound vehicles (two-axel) pay $8.00 ($7.00 with FasTrack) to cross the strait.
Moi kangaroo fell off and his thongs hit the drop bears vegemite sanga. Not good mate. Moi mate Dazza tried to have a climb but his durry pack fell out his pocket. Now she won't light and Dazza's havin a fit.
I got some really nice pictures and enjoy the view so much. What I didn't like is that when I went the bridge seamed uncared for. There were many spots that could use a little paint. Besides that this is a stop you can't miss if you are visiting the city by the bay!!
I was surprised to see the size of the cables!! They are huge!!!
Iconic location. Walking across takes 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your pace. After making it across, get some water! Bring a jacket to combat the wind.
Been a while since I have seen it, but it's a marvel to behold!
Unforgettable I love that bridge and It doesn t really matter how the weather is. The bridge is always amazing. Try to get a tour for the sunset cruise!!!!! Best view on the Golden Gate ever!!
This is one of the best spot to view the San Francisco Bay. Most people would cycle up the bridge and continue the journey further north of the bay depending on your stamina. Generally fair good ride with a few spots of steep slopes. The view on the bridge is amazing, just make sure you secure your cap or scarf because it can be very windy due to its height above the water.
Beautiful and stunning. Definitely wear a sweater though! It's rather chilly!
historical place, iconic symbol, pleasant and mind blowing as well
The must see attraction for San Francisco, we had an amazing experience walking across it.
Absolutely wonderful spot to take the family. The bridge is beautiful and I love that you basically drive from city to forest. Absolutely beautiful views.
Mesmerizing place, one of the very first places where I took my Now wife on a date. Main tourist NorCal Attraction. You haven t been to the Bay if you don t pay the Golden gate a visit. Did I mention that parking was a bit of a challenge?
If you are in San Francisco you must visit Golden Gate Bridge. I took the bus to go there. Make sure you pay attention to return path of the bus.
A magnificent sight, and a must see tourist attraction. As far as I know, functions properly as a bridge for many years.
If you're a tourist in SF, this is one place you have to check off your bucket list.
Great to walk or bike across for some nice city/bay views.
One gripe is that depending on what side of the bridge you walk across on, it can be a bit difficult to organise a lift from the North side
It's a breath taking experience and really worth seeing
Beautiful bridge but do not go too early in the morning as the bridge would be shrouded in the fog. Otherwise a beautiful place to visit.
Smothered in fog, but still great to visit. We are visiting from the UK again this year and hope to see it in all its glory.
By far my favorite bridge! This is must see attraction for anyone visiting SF!
