Great to walk or say you ve walked the Golden Gate Bridge. We caught the bus back
Took 45 mins to walk across great views and good experience
Amazing view. Was lucky the sky was blue and the blue Angel was practising for the weekend air show.
Very nice for a jog along the bridge, highly recommend doing that.
A land mark, display of design at the base excellent
Best attraction for San Francisco. It doesn't matter where you take a picture. It's definitely going to be good.
Iconic and amazing. Be sure to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, stop at Vista Point and take plenty of pictures. This is an amazing American Marvel
Passing under the Golden Gate bridge on a cruise ship is an awesome sight.
Amazing to see in person the scale and size of the bridge.
Crissy field is the best place for a picnic, or just take a walk. Can get chilly in the afternoon!
I loved my visit to the bridge it was sooo foggy Alcatraz looked so spooky across the bay
What a wonderful drive on this bridge. Feels like we are in a hollywood movie. Awesome experience
Pretty cool place, no matter how many times I visit it, either sunny and raining day.
The golden gate bridge is worth every minute of time spent getting there... Taking the little side roads to view the bridge from various different view points is well worth the time. I recommend a full day and maybe 2 to really take in everything this area has to offer.... Try a picnic on a beach watching the boats and the traffic accross the bridge... Highly recommended!
The bridge is quite massive, the bridge is huge and I don't understand that I see it red but I don't know why people call it the golden bridge. a lot of tourists come here to take pictures and it is a bit difficult to find a parking place Because so many tourists!
BEAUTIFUL! SAN FRANCISCO IS ALWAYS A VERY ELEGANT CITY! AND THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE IS THE KING OF SAN FRANCISCO ! LOVE IT!
Golden Gate Bridge is its official name. A suspension bridge, spanning the Golden Gate, Made by steel. Its width about 1.6 km strait and length about 2.7 km. Connect San Francisco Bay with Pacific Ocean. One of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and U.S.A. Joseph Strauss designed it in 1917. And opened in 1937. American Society of Civil Engineers declared it Wonder of the Modern world.
Awesome to see the Golden Gate Bridge. A lot of knowledge and history.
Iconic landmark of California in particular San Francisco.
This is a great place to visit or revisit for various reasons. You and others could walk or bike the golden gate bridge and experience all its livery to crissy fields or visit the sausalito side for some hiking, see old battery installments and the bridge from afar. Be prepared to bundle up as the weather can get windy and cold.
Fun! I'd say it take 1 1/2hours to walk. It's a must if you are in San Francisco.
Surprisingly people are practicing social distancing.. it was nice to get out, sit for a bit and feel the ocean breeze n sunshine.
How could anyone give less than five stars ro this marvel? Unlike, say Mount Rushmore, one can actually walk over and even underneath the bridge and get a full experience. The only thing that takes away from this is everyone else wants to see it. Parking is limited and there are throngs if people while it's open. Be aware that walking hours are limited, usually to daylight and the guards who are tasked with keeping this order have become (understandably) surly. Definitely find a time with the fewest people, such as from Google Maps, and go then.
Historical landmark bridge, with great views of San Francisco, Alcatraz and the ocean. It s best crossing it early in the morning or during non holidays. The weather always changes, make sure to take a jacket or sweater.
One of the best place I have visited during my trip. Taking pics with golden gate bridge is one big task. It's a good experience
Amazing to see it up close, such a beautiful bay, as always pictures do not do it justice.
We walked on the bridge and admired the amazing view of the Bay on a clear, perfect day. Always bring a jacket
Awe inspiring bridge. Lots of people on both sides taking pictures and people driving slow trying to film going over.
Iconic bridge that is a must see if your visiting San Francisco. You can drive or walk across it. If you walk you're rewarded with great views of the city skyline. There is a viewing point if you're driving away from the city to the right which is quite high up, or going the other way the view points are low looking up. Fab experience
Very grand scale construction - clean as well when compared to other city spots . Always carry a jacket - it s breeze is like hell cold. Mornings nearly always foggy but noon to evening. Restrooms opposite to welcome center . Welcome center has complimentary charge ports but carry your own cables .
You have to go see this place once in your life at least. Great views, great place to picnic, and there were even some people surfing in the water. Beautiful place.
Wonderful. tourist place, could have cafes and restaurants nearby. It is always crowded, mainly at weekends.
Every time I look at the bridge it keeps on reminding me what an art of elegance that connects two cities. This is one of the most wonderful and unique piece of structures that has ever been built by human .
What it says on the tin. It's cold, but you can hardly blame that on the bridge
I have been to the Golden gate. Lots of times. And each time I go I still get excited about when we drive over the Golden gate. Those it's never been to San Francisco and those are planning the trip. It's a must you drive over the Golden gate bridge.
I stopped at one of the observation Vista points or walk across the Golden gate Bridge is always an amazing experience. I've lived in the San Francisco Bay area for more than 27 years, and it's like the first time every time.
Super fantastic Golden Gate Bridge. Went across it. Would do it again.
Very neat experience. The fog never cleared so we weren't able to see the top, and the wind is intense to say the least. Defiantly want to wear warm clothes.
Iconic place. Lots to learn about how they built the bridge. Honestly very cool to see in person.
Did the walk!! So fun but 100% windy and cold and we were there around noon. It was like a 30 min across the bridge but it does get crowded.... Watch out for bikes
Foggy, windy and cold. Same your time and look at photos on the internet.
Awesome experience. Try the Big bus tours to see it.
We are visiting Beautiful Golden Gate Bridge from last 20 years and we have enjoyed the experience every time at this super awesome bridge.
No matter how many thousands of pictures I have taken still I yearn to take more and more.
Few I took today @ Fleetweek.10/09/16
Beautiful place and well kept, must see if in the area.
Beautiful town and scenery. Lots of homeless people. To many liberals
Great place to visit. Tip: bring your own water. Dont use their public restroom.
Awesome place. Had amazing view from the bridge. The site of the red bridge itself is beautiful !
To much traffic but neat to mark it off your bucket list.
90% of the time you'll just see the fog. Go in the morning instead.
While I was visiting San Francisco, I had to bike across the Golden Gate Bridge. The experience was amazing seeing how high up we were and how much of an icon this bridge is. Being on this bridge showed me that San Francisco was the Windy City.
While standing here, I got mesmerized by its beauty. The day I visited wasn't a good day to visit as there was fog and mist present everywhere but, still it looked great
Absolutely breathtaking and totally worth the hype. Very busy and you got to be careful of the bike lane while walking on the bridge.
Good Place to get good pics and a park near the golden gate is lovely too
Amazing bridge, fun place to visit, views are amazing from the bridge too
Incredible and beautiful bridge.Must visit if you are in San Francisco. It was opened in 27 may,1937.It is connected to marine county. Its color is Orange vermillion.
It takes about 45 min to walk across the bridge.People can cross the bridge in cars or motorcycles any time.
During daylight hours, you can cross by bicycle or on foot. You can not cross the bridge on roller skates, skateboards, or mopeds.
When the bridge opened, drivers had to pay 50 cents to cross the bridge in either direction. Today, when drivers go north on the bridge (leaving San Francisco) they do not have to pay, but starting on September 2, 2008, when going south (entering San Francisco), they have to pay $6 if they pay cash or $5 if they buy a Fastrak pass.
People often jump off the bridge to commit suicide (kill themselves). They fall 75 meters and most of them die when they hit the water. Over 1600 people committed suicide by jumping off the bridge..
Although there is not much else to see here, it is still worth the effort going to the Golden Gate Bridge, if not only for the view. It is well reachable by taxi, which is not that expensive. Once arrived, just take your time to enjoy the view and take some memorable pictures.
The most famous landmark in San Francisco !!
I was in California dreaming about who we used to be !!
Beautiful, but very crowded in the tourist picture area but very much expected this time of year. They should have photographers there to take your picture for you. And someone to do a caricature or something. It could definitely use some artists there to draw the crowds in different areas.
Big joke!! SOO OVERRATED!! Go there if you something to laugh at The Oakland-bridge is more beautiful, go there instead...
This is the most touristy spot when you visit San Francisco. Walking the bridge might take you around 45 min on a regular pace.
It's too windy so it's better not to wear a hat, also be careful when making photos with your mobile, you don't want it to fly away.
It's a nice architectural piece and the view is pretty awesome if there's no fog. Food options in the cafe aren't a lot and it's usually very crowded on weekends. Other than that, it was great.
