I was completely caught off guard by how much in awe I was when I saw the bridge up close and in the flesh. The bridge is an absolute structural marvel and as a Civil Engineering major I was blown away at the beautiful masterpiece. Definitely a must-see.

Got me safely from one piece of a landmass to another piece of that very same landmass, whay more can you ask of a bridge? And yes, there is water underneath. I'm glad they made it kinda big, because some of these huge boats would have serious problems making it underneath if it were just a tiny bridge. Good work on the bridge guys.

Our first time seeing it and I had no idea it would be such an overwhelming feeling. Do yourself a favor if you've never seen it and stop at the park. Being able to stand there and marvel at this bridge is worth every min of your time. The smell, the feeling in the fog filled air, just the whole experience. Looking forward to the day we return

Iconic bridge and a must see while in San Francisco! Highly recommending biking across the bridge. Wonderful experience! There are some hills getting to the bridge depending on where you rent your bike from, but the experience was exhilarating.

At the entrance of the bridge, parking is bad but if you wait a little while, you might be lucky to see a car pull out from a parking space. Area is beautiful. Very relaxing if you enjoy looking at boats and if walking/running is your thing. The bridge is a perfect spot if you are not afraid of heights.

This was the most amazing bridge I had ever seen until the Owen Hayes Bridge in Ball Play, AL opened earlier this year! The reviews are amazing. It has more 5 stars than an Alabama football team!

Had a great time with the family riding bikes across the bridge. Parking is free but limited on the opposite end of the bridge from the visitor s center. Bridge gets pretty crowded with pedestrians, but not enough to deter one from going. Easy to rent bikes there if you like.

Iconic American landmark, few things top it. If you can, walk the bridge, it's totally worth it, but it can get very windy so I'd leave loose fitting hats, etc. in the car. (I saw several sail into the Bay) Bring a good telephoto lens if you're into pictures so you can zoom in on the skyline, Alcatraz, and Sausalito for greater impact.

Take the time to really check out all the different lookout points around the bridge. Dont just rush and take pictures and leave. Take the time to really watch. It's an unbelievable sight especially when fog rolls in and out around dusk.

The place itself would be nice, but it is often foggy, so a bit difficult to get a clear shot. It is also always windy, so be ready to dress heavy. There are two observation points. The south one is maybe a bit better. Really full of cars, so parking can be challenging. Bars are available only in the south one. In the north there are restrooms, and a better view on sauselito

Was wanting to see this bridge for a long time. But when I actually visited it was cold and cloudy. For that moment, I felt I was out of my luck that I could not get a proper view of the bridge. But somehow that moment has stuck with me and my thoughts keep coming back here. Very nostalgic! A lovely view, both when you walk over and while you sail under. An architectural marvel considering it was built in the 1930s. Beautiful design and a true landmark. Nice vantage points for cool photography. A must visit!

Golden (but red) Gate Bridge, The Bridge that connects northern San Francisco to the other side of the peninsula, Marin County.

This is probably one of the most spectacular human construction that I have ever seen. The perfect location, between the bay and the Pacific Ocean, the stunning and majestic architecture, the multiple astonishing views that you get from the different spots, all these beautiful things will make your experience an indelible memory.

Incredibly recommended!

Icon! Get here early before the tour busses arrive and you will be able to enjoy the bridge without a million other tourists. Note I didn't say peaceful even at 6am there is plenty of road noise on the bridge.

One of the best must-sees of the Bay Area. It s pretty free to walk across the bridge itself, or to explore the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center, that offers a colourful look at the bridge s history, and the original 12-foot stainless-steel test tower .

It's a cool bridge but I think you need to research where the best views are. I visited the southern side where the visitor center is and I have a feeling the north side is much better....

Visiting the Golden Gate Bridge was one of the highlights of my travel to San Francisco. I finally got to see this massive and beautiful structure both on the bridge and under. It is very nice to see the accomplishments of the engineers who worked hard to create this bridge.

This bridge also makes for a nice walk, run, and even bike as you get to see the different islands such as Alcatraz and Treasure Island. This was worth the experience and I strongly recommend anyone who are traveling to SF for the first time, to visit the Golden Gate Bridge.

What an amazing bridge. Unbelievable! If you have the change do it by foot or by one of the many bikes that you can get at the bike renting companies. On both ends you have nice view points, and there are also possibilities to stop along the bridge

What a wonderful place to visit. A must see place when in San Francisco. The bridge still brings an awe. This is my second time walking the bridge. Try and take a bicycle tour if you feel s bit lazy to walk. The walk to the first tower might take longer than you expect as it is a big bridge. Watch out, you might drop your device while taking photos and retrieving it would be impossible.

Very cool landmark and very worth seeing. But, parking is a mess, and the souvenirs are way over priced. You're better off heading to the other side of the bridge by driving there. Better view and way less traffic.

A must see in San Francisco! The best way to get around may be by bike! It's recommended to rent a bike, cross the bridge and get back to San Francisco from Sausalito by ferry! Highly recommended

The bridge is gorgeous, and the history and design was well explained by the surrounding area. The bridge cables are a meter in diameter! I also very much liked that the principles behind a suspension bridge (tension in the cables) is explained in easily relatable ways. The views of the Bay, Alcatraz and Angel Island are wonderful, and while I was there, the fog just concealed the top of the bridge giving it a mysterious look. It's better when it's clear enough to see the Bay, but still a pretty piece of engineering.

Great walk. I had to give it 4 stars because there are no trash cans! How in the world?? People take their cups of coffee and or water bottle and we cant dispose of it? That bothered me, but what I did was I hid my empty cup of coffee and when I came back I picked it up to dispose of it just so I wouldn't have to carry it all the way to.the.end and back. I did.like how one side is for people.on wheels (bikes, scooters ) and the other for pedestrians and runners.

Beautiful scenics views of the ocean, Alcatraz Island, the city and green rolling hills. I ran the bridge for the Rock N' Roll half marathon and it was one of my favorite experiences on the bridge. It was an absolutely beautiful run.

Beware of bikers on the bridge. They have little respect for pedestrians and signs that advise they walk bikes across the bridge. If I ever want to get hit by a handle bar, I know where to go. That aside, this great of engineering and decor is a sight to see.

We watched the sunset-ish over the horizon and the night sky was beautiful! We ran the majority of the bridge and the air was so refreshing up there! Absolutely a must see when visiting the San Francisco or bay area!

Beautiful and stunning what more can you really say about this iconic piece of Engineering. I was a little surprised at how short the Golden Gate Bridge was as in my mind I always expected it to be so much longer and wider.

As I was the driver on our journey I didn't get to see much of the bridge as we were going across it and before you know you've literally blinked and miss it and you are on the saulsalito side.

We turned left after the bridge and went up to the Marin Headlands where we were able to get a great view of the bridge looking down from the Headlands.

Unbelievable experience. Pictures and film do no justice to this absolute marvel of engineering. Walked across it, and enjoyed every second of it. Flabbergastingly beautiful view of the bay.
