Sunny day with your significant other without any money in your pocket but you want to do something special?? Just go and enjoy the Golden Gate Bridge view and walk around during the sunset time. You won't regret
A good spot to visit. Walk across the bridge and see Alcatraz. Visit the historical exhibits for more details on this historic construction. Well worth the effort.
Nice place for a walk and view. Historic place, parking is tough to find
It is beautiful place. I cameback, but I want visit there again.
Amazing. Sun rises at 7ish so if you want to catch it be sure to get there before!
This man made wonder never gets old. I can walk this bridge over and over and never tire.
The visitor center is a good place to explore and great for photo-taking of the Golden Gate Bridge in close proximity. The place gives an amazing view of the majestic Bridge and visitors also get to learn on the interesting informative on how was the bridge constructed and completed in year 1937. Kids also get to enjoy educating fun with the bridge modeling.
I love this bridge. Running at golden gate is a wonderful experience.
Absolutely gorgeous...view doesn't disappoint at all...the viewing spot was something else..
AMAZING view, make sure you're prepared for the crowd and weather
The view of this bridge is something magic, really beautiful. Just seat close to there, admire and renew your energies.
Golden Gate Bridge would be the most beautiful and the most photographed bridge in the world. Such admirable is its beauty. It was a nice experience walking over the bridge that links the American city of San Francisco to Marin County. More
Yup it is good lots of place to admire the engineering and if you look the other way you see Alcatraz.
A beautiful architecture.. Amazing place to hangout.
Must see place. One of the symbols of the US and San Fran. Great in a sunrise and sunset. Great in general. Also nice to walk close to water. Nice views are everywhere around, as you can see on photo
Golden Gate has always been my dream and I was able to go there finally!!
Had a bicycle ride from Pier 1 to the Golden Gate Bridge and then to Sausalito and taking the ferry back to the Piers. It was a wonderful experience. Lovely view from the bridge and I was not able to believe that I would do it!
The bridge is awesome.. there's a separate late for the bicycle riders. You cannot stop wherever you want to on the bridge, you need to stop at the places that are made for you to stop.
What can one write about the absolute majesty of this bridge. It's a awesome experience, one to be savoured and enjoyed on a sunny afternoon. And if you have read Alistair McLean's 'Golden Gate', then you will immediately empathize with the bridge. Fabulous views of the Bay, the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and the boats sailing underneath. It draws you again and again, whether it be walking, strolling or biking across this iconic structure.
You can walk across it! Very cool. Free parking in Presidio Park if you're willing to walk a ways. You can walk on the East side of the bridge, or bike across the West side
I love this bridge but I ve physically witnessed somebody jump to their death...
Awesome, renowned bridged that you can walk or bike across, as well as drive, obviously. Walking across takes about 30 minutes if you don't stop to take too many photos. I certainly recommend going on a clear day, but I also recommend going on a foggy day, as well; there's something extra majestic about it when it's foggy and you can't see the far pillar, let alone the other side.
Perfect place to take pictures of the beautiful San Francisco City. Highly recommend to walk acrosss the Bridge and admire the popular Alcatraz Prison from the bridge.
Super pretty when there is minimal fog 10/10 would recommend
Usually it is covered in the clouds in the morning. So try to go there around 12:30pm.
What can you say about the Golden Gate Bridge. It's more than just a San Francisco bridge, it's an icon and a landmark. And by the way, it's not Golden colored to the eye, just in everyone's hearts.
A must see going back to sac.or going to SF.youngbo moneymobbn..
Such an amazing feat!
Had a great time getting terrific views of this wonderful bridge. There is an excellent stop before the bridge to get a good view of it. Then, driving across it was a treat.
Then we hit the beach on the other side for yet another spectacular view.
Walked across the bridge 3 days ago, stunning sunny views!! Muni city transport was not currently servicing the bridge.
One of many wonderful San Francisco's experiences. Just got my 8dll toll fee bill in the mail. Which is totally worth. Didn't walk across the bridge, I was wearing a dress and was 59 degrees.
Engineering marvel and one of the main attraction of SFO.
I rented a bike and ride to Sausalito along the bridge. I will never forget this experience!
This San Franciso landmark is not to be missed. I've walked it and biked accross and each time the spectacular views takes my breath away.
Traffic really wasn t that bad when we visited (Memorial Day weekend). It was pretty amazing to drive over the iconic bridge several times during our stay in SF. Be advised that there is a toll when coming back into the city. Overall pretty cool experience!
Beautiful bridge portrayed in numerous Holywood movies.
Beautiful views, clean and transportation is really easy
Nice scenery walking along the Bridge, will be windy thu.
First time! Was super nice! Too cold to be summer but worth it!
The iconic bridge is a magnificent sight on a clear day. With options to drive, walk or cycle across it, it can be a challenge to find parking to do any of that but drive across. If you are looking for a decent angle to take a photo of the bridge, it can be a pain to navigate the area to find that shot. Either way, worth driving in or out of San Francisco via the Golden Gate so you can say you ve been there, and take some snaps along the way.
The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the architectural tourist spots that I always recommend to my friends whenever they visit me. Amazing how it was built high above the water in the middle of 2 mountains, it is such a beautiful view specially during the golden hour of the day where the color of the bridge becomes the highlight of the place and reflects to the water.
SF is such a beautiful city and this landmark is definitely a must visit.
The Golden Gate Bridge is a bridge to top all other bridges. I was overwhelmed and couldn't keep it together. Positive experience, would recommend.
Amazing view just do not go early in the morning or a night .....very cold and a lit of fog
A giant structure, must see... don't miss to visit sausalito
Fabulous and beautiful. It is a real masterpiece of engineering for the time constructed. Location and the views both from and to the bridge are unforgettable.
Famous and hundred percent worth it's glory.
Heavy traffic and a lot of pedestrian visitors. Scenery around multiplies the effect.
Soooooo beautiful I would recommend going to Battery Spencer view
Beautiful!! What an awesome structure, so beautiful to look at and take photos of while others use it for getting from point A to point B.
Beautiful and impressive span on this gorgeous landmark!
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The Frommer's travel guide describes the Golden Gate Bridge as "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world."[8][9] At the time of its opening in 1937, it was both the longest and the tallest suspension bridge in the world, with a main span of 4,200 feet (1,280 m) and a total height of 746 feet (227 m). Today, the Golden Gate Bridge is neither the longest nor the tallest in the world, but remains the tallest bridge in the United States.
Walk the bridge! It was an easy walk, 1.7 miles each way. Beautiful views of San Francisco.
Another of America's great landmarks and attraction.
Beautiful atmosphere and a huge tourist attraction in San Francisco. A very busy place with lots of tourists. I suggest you set off early to avoid a lot of people on the bridge.
Amazing. A must see for any visitor in San Francisco. A walk across it is intense but gives amazing views of the bay and the city. Some days it s foggy and visibility isn t the best but if you can catch it on a clear day it is a treat.
I can check this off my bucket list!! It was amazing! I took some really good pictures. There was some really nice views !!
Amazing view from the bridge to the city! I crossed with bicycle and was so fun :)
Walk or ride across the bridge! Beautiful views. Kind of loud traffic but worth it. We could see dolphins and sealions down below.
The parking garage in the lower lot was pretty sketchy. We spoke to a police officer and were warned that there are many break ins in the area. Lock doors and take valuables with you
Wow! What a beautiful, awesome testament to mankind's determination and ingenuity. One simply cannot say enough about this bridge. I'm sure it's as magnificent today as it was 78 years ago. A MUST see!
The best place. It's amazing, wherever you see it, it's beautiful.
Should carry warm clothes as wind brings down the chilling factor
The most beautiful fog bank enveloped the bridge... Truly stunning. My pix doesn't do it justice
Would have been better but construction in and around the bridge streets took away some great views.
Nothing I can say really adds to this historic location. Beautiful.
4stars Just because it ot so cool haw you can imagine. But bridge is nice.. as nice as another one (much bigger)
Thought it was always red, is actually international orange, very dissatisfied
Enjoyed driving across the "Golden Gate Bridge" very beautiful site! I enjoyed seeing it lit up at night..Just as beautiful at night as well as in the daytime. Enjoyed parking at the look out point viewing the surrounding landmarks like Alcatraz..Pier 39..etc.. Great view...
It was a thrill to walk on such an iconic bridge. It was such a work out as the wind was so strong. Like resistance exercise.
The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco and California.
Golden Gate Bridge was an awesome experience - good weather, great scenery for phototaking, trails for strolling
