Such a nice bridge. Only two giant pillars are holding the bridge built brilliantly. You can see the stunning view of this bridge from Golden Gate Bridge view point.

You have to walk to drive for a mile to reach the view point. Some city tour options are available even if you go on Pier 39 even ferry will take you to the Golden Gate Bridge.

It is worth to go by Ferry too.

The Golden Gate Bridge is an incredible structure that must be seen to be truly appreciated.
I was lucky enough to see and drive across the bridge in a number of different weather conditions and from a number of different viewpoints (there are many around).

One of the best engineering structure. You should go and see it once you visit San Francisco. Great view.

Magnificient bridge but the trails that lead to the bridge through Presidio are even more fun.

Breathtaking views, shops, walks, hikes, etc. It has everything highly recommend it. (Plus the giants play there! GO GIANTS!)

A must see landmark. Definitely do the trails and fort. I'd recommend you check out the Land's End trail on the west side too.

#runthebridge I highly recommend to this half marathon. Beautiful views! Find the little path at the end of the visitor center and walk down the gravel path to under the bridge. The golden gate is stunning! The views on the east side are awesome. Alcatraz, city scape, lots of boat traffic in the bay. The ocean side had less boat traffic but the hills and ocean view are amazing.

This was a great place to take a touristy stroll! My one complaint was the demon from before time began that I encountered around the middle- maybe park management hadn't seen it yet. But other than that a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

It's a neat bridge but also a total tourist trap and the toll is outrageous.

The Bay Bridge has more impressive engineering imo

The Golden Gate Bridge to me as a person from the country it's a Gateway to my personal fun Center and world traveling place. You pay your toll then you can experience people and food and culture from all over the world in one place. I also enjoy walking across the bridge. Until I did that I didn't realize how much it actually moves because of the vehicles.

It's an iconic must do stop in SF. We drove across from the SF side then the park and viewing area are immediately on the other side. Cool views of the Bridge and Alcatraz.

Who doesn't love the golden gate bridge?!?! Beautiful scenery as passenger.

It is a must for everyone. I came through at night because I didn't want to deal with heavy traffic then drove over the bridge and crashed at the Vista over look and enjoyed a nice walk over the bridge that morning.

Loved the view on the bridge from the southern point. It gets very busy with lots of pedestrians and cyclists.

The park has toilets and a little fast food place offering limited choice.

Sometimes you have to queue a fair bit to get a bus back to town.

It's a bridge, it's red, it's windy. All kidding aside it's a wonderful 3 mile walk to go over it and back. View of several cities, the wharf, the bunkers, the mountains. I know it's a tourist trap but it's a beautiful walk.

The view of the bridge is iconic, and the view from the bridge is unbelievably breathtaking!

Great place for souvenirs, photos and dates. Very long but brings you to great places like lime point and camp grounds. Amazing!!

When visiting the West coast this is probably one of the things on your 'see' list. It was on mine ! Well worth the early morning trip. Make sure you check out both sides of the bridge as there is a lot of vantage points.

One of the iconic place in the SFO. There are many points to view the bridge from dedicated view points but i would recommend watching it from the Point Bonita. You will get complicate view of the bridge and awesome view of the Pacific. The photo moments are really good from there.

I m sorry to say but I had a very bad experience. The bridge was very busy, the cars are driving very close to you so it is very noisy. I don't understand the reviews saying it is a relaxing experience. Too many bikes on the same pass of the pedestrians...

Very pretty but definitely do not walk this. If you want to cross in a way other than car rent a bike because this bridge is incredibly long. So many people also.

Don t even think about skipping this if you are in San Francisco - this is the iconic SF landmark. The bridge is magnificent. Don t be frustrated by wind and the fog that can come and clear out in couple of minutes - enjoy this genuine SF experience. Finding parking can be tricky sometimes, but you can always park your car a little bit further and uber to Golden Gate vista point.

Walked across. If you are up to it, walk across. Gives you a view you can not associated otherwise.

Super place to walk around make sure to go to Sausalito

This place was absolutely amazing!! We came when it was foggy and cold but it was still super cool. The stores nearby were kind of expensive but it was worth it.

Beautiful scenery. Long walk along the bridge. Can be chilly so wear a jacket. Almost always covered with a thick fog.

An awesome feat of engineering. Besides lanes for vehicles, it palak has lanes for cyclists and pedestrians. The view of Frisco from the bridge is fabulous.

I love the Golden Gate Bridge. The whole area is beautiful, especially the park bellow on the San Francisco side. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and check out the fog rolling over the bridge at night. It's truly majestic and a sight that words can not do justice for...

Iconic California landmark. A must see marvel. Great to drive through and walk across, with plenty of viewing areas.

Took a bike ride across the bridge to Sausalito and just Wow.... I enjoyed every moment of it. It was fun and a great little workout. It was crowed but people try to move aside for bike riders.

A national landmark and often called wonder of the world. It's provided the experience I was expecting with panoramic views and good history trivia dotted along the bridge. If you're in San Francisco visiting the Golden Gate Bridge has got to be done.

There's no food service at the bridge view point. Well managed area. Lot of tourists

Must do. It's worth it, just make sure you have a warm parka and a warm hat when crossing bridge....and be aware of the cyclists.

It's sad to the Golden Bridge like this. Hope the condition becomes better and the California first fire are contained as fast as possible. Global warming is real and climate change will destroy us if we don't react soon. Come together and let's save our mother Earth. It's the only Earth we have till now and SpaceX Mars mission is far from reality so it's our duty to protect the only habitable planet we have

This bridge works great. It gets you from one side, to the other... without dying. Besides that, I don't know what it does, but people seem to be excited about it.

Well worth the views! Take a walk across or take a bus tour. Some bus tours have seating up top and present an unparalleled view of the bridge! Be sure to wear a jacket. No matter the temperature, it gets cold crossing the bridge because if the air coming off of the cold water below. Have fun!

Golden Gate Bridge is a must visit place if you're visiting San Francisco City. You'll be amazed to see such a gigantic structure developed by Engineers decades ago when Technology and infrastructures were not this much advanced. Driving through this Bridge with your Sunroof open, where you see Pacific ocean on the left side and SF Bay on the left side, is a phenomenal experience in itself. If you're ok walking 1.7 miles, you can walk across the bridge while enjoying the cool breeze of air while enjoying the ocean view, watching ferry, taking pictures.

Cool experience! Very windy, sort of chilly. Make sure you have some outerwear (gloves are a good idea). The gift shop sold some nice options.

I lived in the bay my whole life, and I gotta admit this bridge is really beautiful. The first time I saw the bridge was 2 years ago, and the first time I got on it was this year on memorial day. It's amazing how long it is and how it's only held up by two towers. Walking on the bridge is really cool, but make sure to bring a jacket cause it gets hella cold. It is going to be crowded with a bunch of tourists and people taking pictures, so definitely have patience coming here.

One of the great experience in my life, so beautiful, awesome views, and easy access, and for me going towards the end of the day was the best time.

The bridge was built in 1937 by Joseph Strauss, the First engineer. His statue is in nearby information center of the bridge. The roadway deck is designed to move sideways (deflect) up to 27 ft.
