As usual another unbelievable experience at the GG...
As usual another unbelievable experience at the GGB. Fog rolled in, weather cooled down and magic happening. So awesome!

If you have a full day, it's worth cycling over the Golden Gate bridge to appreciate it in all it's glory! We hired bikes from Pier 39, cycled the bridge and then returned via the ferry. We even saw dolphins swimming below the bridge!
A symbol of the triumphs of engineering, the Golden Gate Bridge could not be more beautifully placed, in between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, just an hour from Silicon Valley. I particularly enjoy the view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge from Point Bonita Lighthouse. Many things to do here.
One of the must visit places. Nothing comes near to that lovely feeling when that cold wind blows to your face while watching the deep blue ocean, vast blue sky and walking across the bridge.
It is beautiful, the bridge and the area around it. Worth seeing once in your life and maybe more.
Went for the first time for my 30th birthday last week and the scenery was beautiful! Hope I'm able to visit again.
Always fun to visit! It was too windy and cool to take the kids and walk over the bridge but the car ride over it was still impressive!
Come on it's THE golden gate bridge. Who wouldn't love it.
Drive, walk, or run across this iconic American landmark. With the picturesque surroundings and the architecturally and aesthetically outstanding bridge, this landmark lives up to the hype and is truly among the best the United States has to offer.
Must see and a must do (walk across it) if you come to San Francisco.
Sittin' on the dock of the bay, wrapping up a memorable weekend at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass with nighttime temperatures of 68 degrees. I left my heart in San Francisco, darlin'. 10/06/19
This iconic bridge is a great place for a walk, run or bike ride. Take pictures of the SF skyline (when Karl isn't hanging around! Karl is our nickname for the fog, that some love, but many hate!) Don't forget to look down, spotting sea lions, sea birds and whales!! Summer of 2017 was a record setting year for humpback whale sightings (I saw 50+ July 20 & 21 in about six hours) Please don't litter or drop anything from the bridge, illegal plus deadly!! Happy travels!!
It's a decent walk across. View of Alcatraz island. Heavy traffic but walk way is semi-open.
Amazing View
don t be afraid to cross the bars and walk downhill in the open space and capture this beautiful view from near the sea. Because it is really crowded in every view point.
We drove from Sacramento to San Francisco. Awesome place and magnificent structure. Take a walk across the bridge and you will see the Alcatraz Island. Nice view and very windy. Every corner is like a postcard photo.
Great way to spend a day with out of town relatives! Read up on the history of this bridge, then walk across for fantastic views, people watching and exercise. Besides, with talk of the toll cost going up to $7.00, its easier to take in all the sights and save some money.
San Francisco is a beautiful place to visit and full of history
Golden Gate bridge is an icon of United States and Southern California is 100% worth getting to if you drive walk or ride a bike across the bridge I think it s best to walk or ride a bike because you can stop and take photos and enjoy the views much more than you can from driving the car quickly across the bridge it s also far less busy the toll to get across the bridge is expensive and it takes a while to get through the toll gates
Best place to visit in San Francisco area, beautiful beach and bridge
Beautiful area and an incredible structure. Definitely a place worth visiting and enjoying. On a clear day when you can see the whole bridge, it's hard to believe that it really is that big!
BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT. But its windy in autumn, better to come here around morning
Highly suggest climbing the hill to battery Spencer for fantastic views.
Another bucket list photo, that I wanted to take. The Golden gate bridge
It's nice place to walk, watch and stay focused on your job yet relaxed! The golden gate Bridge, SFO. Limited parking is possible near the bridge approach if lucky. Otherwise, Near church in a walking distance you find ample parking on hourly basis.
Must see place in SFO. The glittering water below the bridge make anyone fall in love with the place. Do bring in your camera to take pictures while walking along the bridge. Also, make sure you walk through the whole bridge.
Amazing structure. Most see at least once in your life
Beautiful walk across the Bridge. Great hiking all around. Can't beat the gorgeous scenery.
Great place to walk. A mile but it doesn't seem like it.
Awesome experience. The audio tour was great, it really brought everything to life. The boat ride was nice. There were amazing views from the boat as well as on the island.
Enjoyed it .....nice ride over ....I would stop at the park before entering San Francisco....they do not stop u for a toll they take a pic of your license plate and mail u the toll request....7.00 bucks to cross one way
Karl the fog was so thick, didn't see anything & it was cold compared to San Francisco!
Such a great experience to walk through the first time, so excited. Amazed of the ingenious plan to build such a magnificent bridge.
This was a beautiful place to visit I am glad that I got to visit it!
I loved the experience of walking it with my family it was a beautiful sunny day. But like us all it needs maintenance!! It's weathered and needs help to restore its beauty. It's riddled with chipped paint, rust, graffiti and the columns are used as urinals on the east side. It's sad
Iconic golden gate bridge is a must see in the fog! Limited access for photos and then re-entry to the highway to cross, you can not cross on foot only on bikes. Be aware that rentals can initially charged us $40 for crossing as there's no way to pay at a toll both our rental company later adjusted it to $14 so be aware that the price is not what you will be charged!
Always wanted to see this amazing engineering work. I was not disappointed. Loved this place. The only complain I have is the lack of parking space.
Good views of the area. It was cold and breezy the day that we were there. There were lots of walkers and bikers so it was also crowded. We saw a whale in the water which was exciting.
If in San Francisco the Golden Gate Bridge is a must. Iconic
Inexplicable beautiful structure for an engineer! Best viewed when it's not raining though. Views are much better from San Rafael side rather than the San Francisco side. Park your own vehicle at the golden gate view points. One can also rent bikes to cross the bridge for fun! Be prepared for strong winds and sudden rains! Best thing in bay area other than silicon!
On the way to Sacramento, we stopped by and really enjoyed walking along this majestic piece of work. Cables, steel bars they are massive. This suspension bridge is one mile long. Could see people are walking down the edge of the water way, but didn't bother as we have limited time to enjoy this super bridge.
Impressive! Breathtaking! Clearly one of the greatest landmarks in our country.
I loved it!, it was fabulous! Even through there was fog on the bridge itself, I was so excited it was an amazing experience. I'm looking forward to visiting the bay area again very soon.
A nice walk across the bridge and a beautiful view of San Francisco.
Fun bike ride. Blazing saddles tour was well lead and organized .
On bicycle side we crossed. I didn't expect to be impressed much. I was blown away, at times almost literally . The bridge is massive and beautiful.
A must visit for tourists, the bridge and the view are very impressive. We traveled by bike which I think is the best way to go to the bridge, because you can stop on the bridge to make photos and look at the view.
Amazing place full of history, very nice walking over the bridge. The signs and signals in the parking lot can be improved to direct the visitors.
#1 place to go in SF. Great walk with beautiful views as well as good locations to restrooms and cafes. Amazing views of the bay and downtown, sometimes a rare glimpse of USAF flyovers too! 5/5!
Got to make a quick stop by but definetly will go back with more free time and be available to visit more sites in this beautiful city.
Beautiful bridge for the view, however, if you watch the documentary on YouTube called, The Bridge, you ll find it has some sad dark history.
Great for photography, multiple spots the bridge are great for it. I recommend Marin Headlands, Crissy Fields, Marshall Beach, Holden Gate Lookout, and Fort Point.
Fun to see close up. Hiking across and back would be good exercise, but I felt pressed for time when I went, so I saw enough to get the flavor of the place, then moved in for more great SF sightseeing.
An epic historic site to visit... The place is kinda chilly. Make sure you get to walk across the bridge and visit the fort point
Enjoyed beautiful views so definitely do it, but traffic noise was rough. I put earphones in on the way back across the bridge to try to alleviate the noise headache.
We did a group bike tour while on our vacation to the area. It was a bit crowded, but my family of six, all novice riders made it with little trouble. Great views and good exercise, so much fun.
Beautiful bridge, iconic landmark. Very popular spot to visit. I do not recommend walking across if you are scared of hieghts.
Must pay for parking but the views are worth it...bundle up or buy skullies and hoodies to stay warm
Wonderful, beautiful bridge in the world ... I love it very much
Worth visiting this landmark attraction. It's incredible.
Great place. decided to jump off but survived, lol. saw alcatraz and visited it later.
Yes, I love the GGB. My father worked here and was a dedicated employee. For a long time. He had to retire early due to unfortunate reasons. I was very lucky to be able to go to the top of one of the towers.that was a experience I will never forget.
Check hours to walk on the bridge. It actually closes to pedestrians between certain hours
One of the best attractions in SF, the view from and of the bridge is just amazing
Pretty cool bridge. Holds traffic up well and gets it to the other side of the bay.
Never gets old, how many ever times I visit this place. Beautiful iconic bridge...
Just try to visit on a clear day... that s my only recommendation.
It's an icon. You can walk across or ride across. One way fair into SF yet walking is always free
Absolutely amazing experience. IMO San Francisco trip should include at least three stops. Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, cable trolley ride. Streets walking, Union Square, China town, Little Hanoi... can be easily planned in between.
It's extremely windy there! Be prepared to face the chilly weather.
Easy walk across the bridge. We saw whales in the water. Great place!
Beautiful view. Make sure weather is pleasant otherwise if it's cold or foggy you won't be able to see the bridge and worst part cannot take any pictures. Best time to see is afternoon around 12pm when sky is clear and sun is overhead.
Iconic bridge! It's history is very interesting. I've crossed it by bike, and sometimes the wind is impressive.
A beautiful bridge, perfect for photos. Be aware of the wind and the cold if you walk through it. Visit the souvenir store, probably you will find something for you.
