I can't believe this Bridge is only less than 2 miles long! It's an easier hike than it looks and you get such beautiful views!

I can't believe this Bridge is only less than 2 miles long! It's an easier hike than it looks and you get such beautiful views!
Used the Hop On Hop Off to take a trip around the city, lasted about 3 hours and the GG was in the second half of that time. We stopped there for 10 minutes to take photos before carrying on. Of course, beautiful views at almost every angle!
Very hard to find parking but it is possible. Don't leave anything in your car as thieves will smash your window to grab stuff. Bring a jacket or fleece as it is very cold and windy on the bridge. Look down as you may see seals and whales under the bridge.
This turned into a waste of time to see while in CA. Absolutely nothing special about it. The bridge from Oakland to San Francisco was more impressive sadly.
Beautiful weather allows you to see gorgeous bridge and skyline
The best views are from the beaches not from the bridge itself.
It's a huge feat of engineering, iconic, but also a little plain and noisy with the trundling of traffic
Iconic! This place should be on everyone's bucket list when visiting the San Francisco Bay Area. The view speaks for itself. Enough Said!
Well let's be honest what would San Francisco be without the bridge in true essence the bridge really is connecting San Francisco to its legacy apparently it's an amazing structure is as old as time as San Francisco The Incredibles structure is a simple one best but its reputation surpasses it as one of the most iconic bridges in the world in the United States definitely if you're going to San Francisco you have to visit this bridge because it represents not only San Francisco but the beauty behind it in the Magistrate surpasses nothing.
Looks nice but it was exact same as the bridge Portugal
I love this place!! So much fun. It is an easy walk across the bridge. Very clean and well cared for sidewalks.
Visited this place in November.. Had to wait for the fog to get cleared to witness this awesome scenic beauty and it's definitely worth the wait..
Nice place to visit, Bridge security officers are very helpful
You can walk it in 75 minutes. Dress warm. Bring a hat
Such a beautiful, amazing bridge that is unparallel to any of it's kind. Truly remarkable
Second trip to the bridge. Great park if your in town you got to see it!
Wonderful place and a magnificent structure, make sure you bring your camera.
It looks better in magazine pictures :)) but the experience was really nice. Great views from the bridge. It is higher than I thought.
A lot to see. Good walking shoes is a must, along with some snacks. Obviously be prepared to take many pictures of the different great views of the bridge and parks. Be aware of common brake-ins to cars in plane view, daytime; so no valuables in sight in your vehicle is important.
A worldwide icon . Worthy of seeing up close, do spend an afternoon walking the surrounding parks, vista points, and of course across the bridge itself. Trust me, it s well worth it. Photos far from do it justice, but marvel at the various angles you can capture breathtaking photos. Try staying for sunset and take lovely contrasts of when the sky lights up against the marvelous red steel. Don t forget, look out to downtown San Francisco while you re on the bridge you ll get a cool photo opp there too :)
Great scenery, great place to visit while in California.
It's an easy walk across. The views are breathtaking!
Awesome place to see. Fog can be hit or miss but if you get a clear day definitely worth the visit
Beautiful place to visit. One of the best land marks in California and the San Francisco Area.
Iconic and a must visit site even more impressive in real life.
Beautiful place with stunning view of the ocean. Do keep your camera handy as you will be motivated to take a lot of pictures. Good hike nearby. F you visit this place in early morning, you will have a picturesque view of fog-covered bridge. Highly recommended place!
Got a glimpse fort point amids rain and fog and it looked awesome
Worth walking along in the evening, as the bridge is quieter and glows a golden hue
Great walk and a view from the Golden bridge must to visit place.
Always a treat to go home. Love SF and this beauty never ages and is always graceful. Always brings back memories of days gone and times spent in the city. When the time comes to leave it s always super hard.
You can take bus from Downtown and then get out at Fort Point bus stop. At Fort Point bus stop, you can get a good view of Golden Gate Bridge.
A beautiful and Iconic landmark to visit. The views are beautiful!! Everyone should visit once in their lifetime.
Visiting from Maryland, I was expecting something similar to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, but this was so impressive I don't really have words to describe it.
Check weather before or else all you will ever see is thick mist and cold winds!
Obviously you must go here when in San Francisco. It's always very busy, but it's beautiful in all weather. I highly recommend walking around to view it from multiple angles and not just at the platform. Plus you can see the historic coastal defense site nearby, the beautiful coast, and unique vegetation.
Super pretty and iconic bridge. Fun walk for kids, couples, and touristy adults. ( no food sold there) so make sure you bring snacks ha ha...
one in a life time view live life to the fullest u can do anything
An impressive engineering structure. Unfortunately when we were there it had low cloud so couldn't see the full bridge but still impressive. A must visit when in San Francisco.
Beautiful views from the bridge. Took a bike ride across the bridge to Sausalito and just Wow.... I enjoyed every moment of it. It was fun and a great little workout. It was crowed but people try to move aside for bike riders.
If you re wondering which place you should visit first in San Francisco, at that point the Golden Gateis almost certainly your best bet. Furthermore, chances are you ve already seen this famous bridge all over the movies and San Fransisco memorabilia. If you ever do decide to stroll over the bridge to tour, at that point ensure you're wearing something warm! The weather at the top is generally cold yet the view is justified, despite all the trouble. If you walk from Pier 39, you'll find numerous other tourist destinations on your way to the bridge.
Old is Gold. Nice bridge and great enjoyment to eye in watching such an amazing creation
the best time i ever had while jumping off the bridge 5/5 will jump again
What a cool bridge. Great to walk across. Just watch out for cyclists
Beautiful and notable place to visit if you're in the area. It can get a little chilly and windy even in the summer!
Ride your bike over the golden gate bridge! Fun for the family. Minimal elevation changes so kids of all ages can do the ride.
Nice to see it. If had more time wouldve liked to have walked over it. Good little shop there to get a t shirt or jumper to say you have been
We walked the bridge when we were here on holiday. Great iconic bridge.
Amazing site, definitely worth a visit to this Iconic landmark
This is always a great visit. Go under the bridge for great photos, some risque beaches.
Very inspiring. Going to the fort below gets you under the bridge and then a nice hike gets you on the bridge where you can walk across. It was cool to be on a structure you've seen in so many movies and shows.
We biked across the Golden gate bridge which was an awesome experience.
It's a really big bridge. You might call it majestic even.
Great place, Go for a walk on the bridge and enjoy the view of the San Fransisco city and Alcatraz island.
The Golden Gate Bridge is quintessential San Francisco. Please take a stroll down the bridge if you have the time. You will not regret it.
Much much more impressive in person! A picture is just a picture, then you see it with your own eyes. And the energy of the city that surrounds it... 2 days in the area made our 8 days on Maui seem like a waste.
Beautiful bridge. Many tourists. It's great on pictures but even better in real life.
Such a beautiful bridge. So many tourists. I wonder how many times this bridge has been photographed. Parking is not free, but affordable.
What a huge bridge and to be able to walk it was an awesome experience. You can see the structure and feel it sway in the California breeze. Downside was the locals on bicycles. The signs on the bridge clearly state to walk your bike across the bridge. But the locals dressed in racing bike gear were rude .... yelling for the tourist to get out their way as they sped by on their bikes. The parking and restroom break areas were dirty and smelled foul. There was urine and feces on woman's restroom floor. Not enough information available about the bridge... pictures during the build, statistics on the structure or cost or building duration. Overall disappointed.
Must see place in SFO. Iconic bridge . If you are near by SFO then you should walk over the bridge once. you can take the pics from both the sides. Top view is superb . Take the cruise from Pier 39 and then you can got the bridge shot from down also. Loved this place . Spend 3-4 hours there at least.
So lucky if walking on the bridge in sunshine, contemplate beautiful views of the bay. You can walk, take a bike to complete the length of the bridge or enjoy bay view from the below.
One of the finest iconic bridges across all of the U.S. - a must visit if you've never been. The NPS manages the bridge visitor center & Vista Point on the other side offers exquisite views of the Bay & SF -
It is a good iconic location, there's some kind of romantic feeling associated with the bridge that overlooks the great pacific Ocean. It felt so peaceful to watch the sunset, this place was very cool with the cold winds, better take a jacket with you and covering ears can help. My fingers turned ice cold by the time sunset was over. We can take some amazing photos here, the background is just beautiful. There's a public eco toilet kinda booth which is located on the bridge and it is locked. So better to pee before you go there ;)
Still an icon and symbol of the best city in the world
Love this place. Awesome views. Great place to go for a nice walk and enjoy the scenery.
Truly spectacular. An engineering marvel, and one of the key reasons to come to SF. I have driven over this numerous times, and marvel at its construction and views every time. A must see, and definitely near the top of any bucket list.
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Fantastic view!
If you go through Crissy Field via Masson street, you can take very nice pict.
Nice tourist area and a lot of places to run and bike.
