A cool bridge with an even cooler viewing point which made for a perfect (and free) place to camp out in our car, as long as you don't mind being woken by hordes of school children.

As a Native San Franciscan, I can never get enough of this wonderful and amazing bridge! With spectacular views and breathtaking vistas, it continues to inspire and awe all walks of life! It's priceless!

There's a nice viewing area. However, this remains very crowded.

The most amazing 1.7miles you'll ever experience... get those steps in..!!!

It was great, dont go so early in the morning when its foggy, you wont see as much.

Great tourist attraction. It is a beautiful,
nice place to take pictures and walks. It is very windy and cold when walking on the bridge, so I would recommend to dress warmly if you're planning to walk through the bridge.

One of the best views in the city. Usually windy and depending on the time of year can be bitter cold and foggy. Parking is VERY limited. Be kind to bicyclists .

A must see. Only takes about 30 minutes to walk accross

Excellent views if you catch it without the fog. It's hard to time but when you do it right the moment is trapped forever in your mind while your senses try to keep up.

If you see it on a cruise, you can see the dolphins.

What can one say about this iconic place.
You have to see it to believe the majestic Bridge.
Rain, fog or shine the bridge just stands out and looks an engineered marvel.

There are designated vista points to stop and view/photograph the Bridge. Remember parking is tight.

Rental vehicles pay more ... beware

Pictures do not give it justice...it is breathtaking...when visiting the scenic view go all the way to the end and park...best view and don't be picky with parking...you find a spot take it

Much bigger than I expected, managed to catch it without clouds. Visiting the bridge was an awesome experience!

Historic place. But it's still a bridge, so it connects two places over water basically. There's a sweet town Sausalito on the other side and a park on this side. One could also jog across the bridge but it's way too noisy.

Must to see if you are in San Francisco! You can go on the bridge by your car and check it out. There are couple of look out points after and before the bridge. But I recommend renting a bike and checking it out from the bike trails since you would have the best view points from there.

Also, they have electronic bikes that make biking up-heals and down heals super easy.

This is by itself a tourist attraction in San Francisco. The bridge has a red color and is one of the ways to enter San Francisco. It's not huge or very long but it's famous because it appeared in several TV shows, films,...

The bridge can be seen from different points, I've been in four different points taking pictures and all of them offer different views of the bridge and the bay.

Beautiful sights all around, be warned there is a high probability of fog surrounding the bridge so it may hinder a full view of the bridge but it is truly magnificent. You can walk from end to end, I didn't drive down as it was a toll route and I had a hire car but just stop in the middle and take in the views.

Most photographed bridge in the world. Lots of tourist, parking is almost impossible at the visitors center. Park in the Presidio and walk in, you ll enjoy the views much better. Be mindful of the two way bike lane and on lane pedestrian lane. Some of the locals are very aggressive and unforgiving of pedestrians in their bike lane. You can walk across the bridge from the visitor center.

Like a dream hiding among the clouds. Like a child trying to reach the sky. Experience with all your senses the views around it. Close your eyes, breathe the ocean, feel the wind. Just feel it.

Some people need to be taught respect. Walking the bridge was cool. But there needs to be another way added to walk it.

It was awesome! We hiked there from Pier 39 so it was a walk but worth it!

It was perfect weather and sun was setting so I had great view!

Beautiful view on the bridge. There are two sides of the bridge to start the visit. Go to both if you can. Walk to either side if you want too. Bring a jacket just in case! Can get windy.

Wonderful...A great piece of work by the man... An iconic suspension bridge anchored to the foothills of mountains and supported on giant piers... painted with good contrast colours... Shape of the heavy tendons to transfer the load also presents good view... Just pass through it... And enjoy

Breathtaking scenery. I always recommend taking your binoculars when you walk on it.

Incredible bridge, it's 7$ to cross it by car but I recommend to rent a bike and go to the park around it because cross the bridge walking or by bicycle it's free

It s an iconic place that if you don t visit you will have missed something in your lifetime if you are in SF.

I enjoyed the trekking up and down of golden gate. Some people go by bus, and if you do so, I will recommend to come back by walk, cross the bridge.

I highly recommend biking across the bridge. Search for pop-up bike rental companies and use your phone to rent a bike for the ride.

There is so much to around the golden gate bridge they're trail's that go in many different places like the presidio, Crissy Field.

It would have earned 5 stars if we could have seen it. The fog never burned off and it was shrouded on both sides of the bridge.

Great for a visit. On the eastbound side don't miss the pull out. Great location for photos. Great history information. To pay toll you can go online in advance or expect to get a bill. If you are driving a rental car the agency will forward it to you with additional charges.

It's a good place to have nice walk on the bridge, always windy or nice breeze, passing clouds, amazing views of Pacific Ocean and the SFO city. Cycle/Bike are available for rent on hourly basis. There is a eat out attached, lil expensive..

The views are straight out of a post card. Visited with my family and we took tons of pictures, ate around the area and had a fun family day.

Dont park in the garage, across the street. The attendant list my ticket, and when we tried to leave it cost $42 to get out. Never again

Its beautiful to see it every time i go cross it. But they need to stop raising the tolls so often. Its getting crazy.

I was recommend to visit Battery Spencer for the best view but the road was closed and ended up visiting Golden Gate Bridge View.

Golden Gate Bridge is amazing part of California / San Francisco history. This is a must see if your coming to the SF bay area. Unfortunately the day I went was very foggy and I was not able to take good pictures. One piece on advice is if you are walking over the bridge is to dress warm, it can get extremely cold in that area.

Beautiful place to visit. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Walking or riding is a great way to experience the bridge, the round trip will be approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on how many times you stop to look at the stunning views along the way. One of the best places to see and photograph the Golden Gate Bridge is from the Golden Gate Overlook and Visitors Center.

Very nice place to see best time to go is early i the morning because there is no fog and bring a jacket... it's really cold, but beautiful

Great experience. We hired a bike and rode over it. Very windy even on really sunny day so take a small jacket/fleece. All down hill on the other side so we caught ferry back to San Francisco.

Needless to say it was a breath-taking spectacular graceful view!!! It was around April 24

Great place......breath taking views and lots of history. Would recommend seeing if your in the area. Just make sure you make time as parking is hard to find so make extra time to find parking or be prepared to walk. Also if you drive there is a toll to cross the bridge

The Bridge is more than just a bridge it's an icon....and 55 + people per year jump off this bridge average, and increasing significantly with Trumpitis... and pharmaceutical drugs.

Definitely a place to stop at when in San Francisco, the golden gate bridge is the staple of the city! Lucky enough it was a beautiful day, usually the fog covers the whole bridge, but what an experience!

Your trip to SF wouldn't be complete without a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Spectacular views of the city skyline, the bay, Alcatraz, and the bridge itself as you get to the other side. Recommend a pair of earbuds though, the oncoming traffic can be a bit loud. :)

It is very windy! Please hold on to your hat! We were told that most of the time it would foggy scene. Luckily we were able to see it . Lovely! Bring your binoculars to see up close!!

You've heard of it. You've seen it. It's as absolutely mental as you would have expected. Immensely tall bridge with scorching views if you can get there at a time with no fog. However, expect fog. The first time I went across , we couldn't see further than 100 yards. If you're into running, try the San Francisco marathon for a trip across on your own two feet (or run/bike across on your own whenever you like)!

It'd always a pleasure to walk across the bridge. There are no dogs allowed! I don't like that you have to share with people riding bicycles. Can be extremely busy on weekends.

Just view is beautiful other things else are awful!

The truly iconic Golden Gate Bridge serves as a nostalgia for whenever I come to San Francisco. Excellent view from the bridge. Parking is a major issue. One time, we got a mail at home saying we didn t pay the toll for entering the bridge. Of course we didn t, we didn t even cross the bridge in the first place.

We road bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, pretty but hectic crossing the bridge.

We were on a bus tour & drove over the bridge. Beautifully old bridge a lot of great architecture. We only stopped for a little while & were able to take photos but not enough time to go for a little walk on the bridge. It was the same time as the America's Cup was being held in 2013 in San Francisco so we got to see some of the yachts racing on the water.

Absolutely gorgeous. One of the the man made wonders.
