Phenomenal experience and scenery! Really helped clear my mind walking on the bridge.

Phenomenal experience and scenery! Really helped clear my mind walking on the bridge.
such an amazing brigde. you can just spend hours sitting at the edge or walking/biking around the bridge. great place to spend time in San Francisco.
It is rare to see the bridge without fog surrounding it. I managed to see it up close on my trip 1 out of the 5 days. We drove across it and also went to a beach close to it which was the best place to takes pictures of the bridge. It is beautiful.
Awesome experience. We walked across the GGB. Pretty cool.
Very impressive! The view of the bridge is stunning from Battery Spencer -- it's worth the drive to see it!
One of the main attractions of San Francisco. If you go in spring or early fall you have a great chance of having clear blue skies and the bridge is visible in all its majesty. You can park and walk or run it, or just take a tour or rent a car. Its a must see if visiting the area.
Loved it! Driving over is a little confusing, so make sure to plan your route before you go, and then afterwards, make sure to stop by the little town of Sausalito. It's the cutest little seaside town, with lots of boutiques and tons of great little cafes.
For a big tourist attraction, this place has nice, not too crowded walks and gets you up close. You also have little recreational areas here and there.
Watching the sunrise over San fran from the golden gate bridge is a sight to behold, only bettered by the fact that the road is twice as quiet as it would normally be so the sounds of the waves below can actually be heard for a change.
The golden gate continues to be a great photographic muse and one of those global landmarks that does fulfill your expectations.
You know you are in San Francisco if you see this bridge. This place is a must-visit one. It is a perfect place for exercise and walking. A lot of people are here.
Really stunning! Great to to see with your family. Everything is wheelchair accesible. There is busses going to the bridge regulary aswell. There is a cafe there too.
The Golden Gate Bridge is synonymous with San Francisco and one of the things we came to visit. There are loads of ways to visit and loads of ways to go across. We had hop on/off bus tickets so went across in an open top bus. It wasn t for the faint hearted upstairs as it was cold and windy but wow. Well worth it, the size of the bridge is incredible and the view over San Francisco and the surrounding area breathtaking. We didn t walk over the bridge plenty of people were, however you visit make sure you do.
It's a wonderful experience to enjoy with your family!!
Very impressive bridge, it was even bigger than I imagined it would be. There are viewing points at both sides of the bridge and a lot of historic places around the area.
There are buses that drives over the bridge and you can get off at either side with just a short walk to the bridge.
It seems to be popular to rent bikes and bike across the bridge, there are also bike roads from Crissy Fields.
Beautiful Bridge beautiful views to San Francisco and Oakland beautiful view of the ocean beautiful view at night on the light lights up
Biking across the Golden Gate bridge was an awesome experience. I went on a super windy day, so it was difficult at some points as it felt like I was about to be blown off the side, but it was very much worth it! I would definitely like to do it again some day.
Lovely to see at sunrise & sunset...lucky the mist did not set in & cover the bridge.
A must visit in San Franciso - beautiful city view - amazing experience
The bridge offers bird's eye view of San Francisco city and the Alcatraz island. It's proximity to other tourist destinations made the trip worthwhile.
Just such a beautiful site. Just know that if you cross the bridge and to get back there is a toll fee and it gets charged to the plate. The fee is $8.00
There's a quiet spot on a hill in between rocks small trees and such that seems no one hardly goes to but it's where most good pictures are taken I had a friend recommend I go there in the view is just fantastic I sent for over an hour just watching the water and looking at the bridge it is a beautiful view and place to sit and think
It's def worth a trip if you are in San fran! We were there at a perfect timing to see the sun set from the bridge so the views were really beautiful.
Cold, windy, foggy, but still very beautiful. So, there's no toll to cross from the San Francisco side, but there is a toll coming back. We crossed over and parked in visitor section, and used the telescope-thingy. 10/10 would go again, but on a sunnier, warmer, less wet day.
It's an art deco bridge from 1937. Pretty badass... I recommend walking across for the hell of it... don't jump!
I loved the time i spent here so much... Much as its really cold its super picturesque... The bridge is really long almost a kilometer long so if walk its whole length be prepared to walk back... Its thronged by tourists too but its big enough!
Its amazing!!!the beauty of nature and structures are amazing
Beautiful experience to visit and walk the bridge. Put it on your bucket list folks!
Initially I thought the bridge was overrated. But then I saw it up close. The view when the clouds flow through the bridge is mesmerizing..!!
Beautiful bridge, but if you plan to walk it or ride a bike, remember your jacket, very windy & chilly, but definitely worth it.
When you think of San Francisco, the Golden gate bridge comes to mind. It is a true landmark completed in 1937.
It is interesting that they have a mechanical zipper that changes the median during rush hours.
This beauty never gets old. In other words, I could come here every day and marvel at this gorgeous bridge. They sure as heck don't make them like they used to! Come check it out!
The world famous Golden Gate, what can be said that hasn't already. A word of warning to out of town travelers coming to the spot during a holiday... the parking lots at both vista points (North & South) are closed for holiday weekends (except for tour busses) to limit traffic congestion. In the last few years the GGNRA has built more lots on the SF side, further down the hill. Works great, but now requires a little bit of a hike to get to the bridge.
One of the most important and beautiful places to visit, and there's wonderful story behind this world famous Golden Gate bridge.
Walked across and back, probably best views on earth of the city and Bay area. Too much dang bike traffic tho you will get ran over if you ain't careful. Saw dolphins too
One of the wonders of of America. My 1st grader loved it good exercise better views if San Francisco and other surrounding cities.
The bridge is breathtaking! Easy to walk: 45 minutes each way. Bathrooms at each side, but not bus service nor restaurants.
I guess it's not even allowed to give this thing lower than 5 stars. It's just a bridge, but we can stare at it all day long. Seriously, it is a national and cultural icon. EVERYONE needs to come see the bridge when visiting SF. I will post a couple pics of my Samsung Note 9, but wow there are 1000's of HQ professional pictures already posted. There was a Navy ship docked by its side when I took the photo from Pier 39.
Loved it! I walked across the bridge with a friend recently and it was such an awesome experience. One side of the bridge was for pedestrians and another side for bikes. There are places to stop and take pictures as well as a guest area prior to walking the bridge. It was a pleasant experience and I plan to do it again soon.
A must see if you re in the area! Words can t describe how huge this thing actually is!
One of the most iconic bridges of the world. The south side of the bridge is quite crowded as this is where the pathway is and where there are a few shops. There are a couple bathrooms too, but they are hella dirty with huge lines. Regardless, it s a unique site. Walking the 2 miles across and back can be tiring and meeting an Uber on the other side can be tricky as it s only road.
Breathtaking! The Golden Gate Bridge is perhaps the most recognizable bridge in the world and no visit to San Francisco is complete if you will not take a walk on the Golden Gate. The scenery is amazing and you got the exceptional view of the city skyline.
Visited the military batteries via the trail below the visitors center and store at the south end of the bridge. Great view of the bridge from the trail.
A must do if you're traveling, Everytime you see the iconic bridge in movies, you'll proudly be able to say you've walked or biked across!
What to say. When you are in SF you must be there. Everytime a visit worth and never gets boring also the walkways around are absolute lovely and you should plan to spend some time there.
Pretty sturdy bridge as far as bridges go. Its made of some kind of metal and it's painted orangish. On closer inspection i noticed it was built across the ocean!!! I've never built a bridge but I'd guess that it'd be pretty hard to do it in the ocean.
You never know what the weather will be like until you get there. It was pretty cold at fisherman's wharf and it was starting to rain as we left. When we go to the GG Vista it was clear and relatively warm, with no real wind. Great time to take pictures and enjoy the view.
Alot of fog right now couldn't see anything at all sorry.
Very neat experience. You would think it to be super busy, but we were able to find parking and it was free.
Just wow!! There are so many grrat viewing areas! Main south side of bridge and also at hawks hill!
Incredible view, an obvious must do if you go to San Francisco. However the walk way was narrow enough in most places that I was constantly dodging bicyclists- would not bike the bridge unless you are very adept at biking.
I love this place and the park is very cheap compared to other pay to park places .
This has got to be the nicest bridge in the world to cycle or walk across. Great views of Alcatraz.
It's windy,it's crowded,it feels a little dangerous at times but it is the most beautiful place for pictures and vistas.
A must see for suspension bridge fans. This landmark has stunning beauty in its design and changes as clouds and skies colors change the backdrop.
A wonder of human engineering and determination!
At last the mighty task is done;
Resplendent in the western sun
The Bridge looms mountain high;
Its titan piers grip ocean floor,
Its great steel arms link shore with shore,
Its towers pierce the sky.
It's Golden Gate Bridge
This bridge holds the whole city. The amount of architecture and effort that are put worth are mind blowing. Honestly this place can never disappoint anybody irrespective of the weather be it sunny, rainy no matter what
was lucky to capture amazing sunset from the Golden Gate Bridge
Well, it is the Golden Gate after all! Totally worth it, a nice shot to take. It tends to be a bit crowded but it is expected. A lot of fun as we passed the bridge on top of an open double-decker bus: bye-bye hair-do and welcome frozen nose and ears! (It was in August)
Unbelievable site, wished I lived there. Weather was indescribable for the time of year.
It's icon of the city and West coast. Nice walk from side to side without fees.
I recommend you stop by at the view points beside the bridge to get a splendid view, especially in a clear day. Overall beautiful bridge and is a must go to place for tourists
It's a gorgeous, historical monument and landmark that is very well known in San Francisco, CA. It's one of the world famous areas of the United States where people from various countries, cites, and states come to visit. It also provides a great view of Alcatraz Island.
Amazing place! I will definitely go again in my life.
A truly beautiful American landmark. The entire area has breathtaking views of the bay. Definitely either walk or bike over the bridge (1.2 miles each way) and visit the welcome center for info, history & interactive displays. Note that you're walking on the side of a highway so there's fast traffic passing you which can be loud. Bring a jacket and hood/hat for the wind.
Did a round trip walk and it was great ! Almost 4 miles! A bit foggy on the south side but got sunnier when we got to the north side.
An incredible work of engineering and an iconic landmark.
Love this masterpiece and beautiful place. I can't believe it's been 40 years since I've been there the first time.
I loved the place. It's such a great place to walk on with your friends and near ones. Very scenic and yes cold too. One side bay and other side Pacific.
