What can I say. I want to say it sucks. The only thing that I really saw in San Francisco on my road trip. I spent most of the day in Oakland. But here is a place that I had to go to. I wanna be a contrarian and say it's not all that special, but it was awesome. People from all over the world. I just wish the fog didn't block most of the view from afar. Walking through the fog on the bridge was an experience. I was surprised how chilly it was for August. On the Florida panhandle it is like a sauna. It was a great walk, I'm sure it would be a great place to go for a morning run. It would be way more comfortable to do in August, than it is back home.

As hyped as it may be, the way the bridge looks in the sunlight is amazing. I biked over it and drove over it during my trip to San Francisco so I can say it's also very structurally sound.

Take the bike ride. You only live once. Just be mindful of the ferry times otherwise you will be waiting awhile. Wouldn't hurt to take a little extra water and snack with you. The photo ops are simply amazing

It s a beautiful bridge! The view from the top is incredible unless it s foggy or rainy outside, it s a fun bridge and was way longer than I thought it would be. It looks smaller in pictures than it actually is! Their is nothing to do on it since it s a bridge but it s very pretty. I went under the bridge and it was really cool to see, if you go to San Francisco make sure to drive or walk across this.

WOW! Wish we would have had more time! We got there and it was all clouded in, we could see part of the closest tower. But after an hour or so, the fog cleared and we were able to see the entire thing, watching it "appear" out of the fog bank was truly mind blowing beautiful!

The reason we wished we would have had more time was to allow us to walk out on the bridge and see the views from there as well.

If I could it would be 10 stars! BEAUTIFUL area! The historic Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, and Alcatraz all viewable from the bridge area! I crossed the bridge of course and we hiked around the Fort Point area, words cannot say how amazing it was! Much recommended!

A must see when you are in San Francisco. It s a beautiful looking bridge and it s a really fun experience to walk along. It does get very noisy with all the cars whizzing by you. It is very windy at most times so hold onto your hats. More

This is a film scenery. It is such a spectacular experience to cross the bridge. We did it using bicycles starting at Pier 39 and then all the way up (and down) to Sausalito. Everyone should try this once una lifetime.

Must visited place in San Francisco. But be careful while travel at evening time. Do not keep anything in car. We lost our bag with passports in bag. They broke my car window and took al belongings!

The view of the bridge was really cool, and the information before the bridge was really interesting. We did not go on the bridge and it was super windy/cold so we decided not to venture out. Other than that, a great American landmark that is well worth a look.

An engineering wonder which one must visit while in San Francisco.
Generally crowded in holidays.
But one can drive onto an adjacent hill, to appreciate a comprehensive view of the bridge.
However, one should not overlook an opportunity to walk on the footpaths on the sidewalks of the bridge.
At the same instant, one should be watchful of the cycles moving in the nearby path!

Typical of the Bays area though. I can see why it is an attraction however.

Postcard views not always guaranteed. What you can be certain of is a wind through the air San Francisco. Golden Gate Bridge come rain or mist is an iconic bucket list outing. Spectacular views onto Alcatraz and San Francisco always guaranteed. Wear flowers in your hair for the trip and sit upstairs on the hop on hop off bus for the full-look up experience on the drive over.
