Beautiful sunny day, let the bridge really shine out. There's a great viewing area.
The best place to commit not alive I recommend 10/10
There's only one Golden Gate bridge And we as San Franciscan'scan's love it along with the rest of the world
An engineering marvel, they built this in 1930's in 5 years and its maintained so well to last another century or forever. Take a bow you guys who built it.
My most visited place in US and would like to go there again if I visit US west coast again. Spend 1/2 day here in my opinion. Walk the length of the bridge and its awesome. Any season of the year, this is a must do if one visits San Francisco.
It's a wonder of the world..... Beautifully maintained and excellent place to Enjoy with friends and family
Would have been better if the visitors center had been open!
DOV: 25Feb2006 This is one of the longest suspension bridge which is around 2.7 KMs long. Its arguably most beautiful bridge in the world and famous romantic spot in many films. Its great feeling to have walk through the bridge and view complete SFO city on one side and northern trip of SFO Pensinsula on the other side. Highly recommended to have a walk through the bridge especially when u r in SFO!
So beautiful. Wish people wouldn't litter. But it was such a nice view even on a typical foggy dau. Parking wasn't bad. I'd suggest going on a Sunday. Seemed far less busy than usually
Iconic California landmark. This should not be missed. You have to cross this bridge, stop at Golden Gate park to take in the beautiful bridge and the lovely bay.
Can never tire of this beautiful location. Best way to view is hire a bike in San Fran (hundreds of locations for bike hire) follow the well laid out route for bikers from Fishermen s Wharf across the bridge and down into Sausalito where you catch the ferry back again to Pier 39. (Plenty of space on ferry for your bike and you won t be alone). If fit and healthy take a left when over bridge and cycle up Hawk Hill. Views are just brilliant of the bridge and the city in background. Follow the road down and go through the tunnel under the 101 Highway into Sausalito. You will not regret, with memories to hold for a lifetime. Just bring a warm sweater as it could be foggy and damp Pacific side but sunny and warm Sausalito side especially if doing a morning cycle during the summer months.
Just like what you see in TV or movies only in real life. You must walk across and back to experience the beautiful views.
If you're visiting San Francisco as a tourist, then the Golden Gate Bridge is a must!! It took my wife and I approximately 3 hours to walk the entire bridge (back and forth). It was SUPER windy, but well worth it. Use the restroom before you start the walk because its a long way from the next break. (Other side of the bridge.)
It was neat seeing the bridge in person after seeing it on TV for so long and now I can say, I've been there!
Breathtaking views. Around 8:10pm in August, the light is on, watching the cloud, the wave and the bridge is such a feast.
Recent business meeting gave us an opportunity to walk across this awe inspiring landmark. Long walk, and you should be un semi decent shape. Several in our group stayed back at the visitor center while the rest of us preserved. Bit cool and windy in late February so dress accordingly. Took about 90 minutes to go over and back while stopping for a few photo ops, but we really moved. Fun time.
Worth all the hype. Spectacular bridge with amazing views of the Bay area including SF the surrounding hills, the bay bridge, and Alcatraz! Can get crowded during weekends and holidays, so go early.
A human marvel. Walked across the bridge on a beautiful sunny day... Be prepared for chilly weather and wind. Views are amazing from Vista Point and Golden Gate Park. Traffic across can be pretty congested but the views of the Pacific Ocean are worth. Keep your eye on the road.
Cant wait to go back ! Beautiful place san Francisco
Great views of the bridge and Alcatraz. Be ready for the cold...and be ready to wait for a ride...and pay for it as well. $10 out $30 to get back! Buses take correct change or otherwise it is a donation.
After seeing this bridge in many movies and on TV I can't believe I actually got to see and be on it in real life. It's absolutely stunning! Me and my friend cycled to here from the Blazing Saddles shop. It's really foggy up there though so it was super windy but wow what an experience, it was breathtaking. If you're lucky it may not be as foggy. I been told if you go during September or October it's better. Would come back for sure.
We hired bikes from Bay City and road from Fisherman's Wharf. Fantastic, one of the best experiences!
It's an engineering marvel. Just stunning to see the bridge standing tall above 700 feet. Loved the walkways and the crowd gathered to catch some breathtaking views of the city and the seascape.
Nice to ride a bike from pier 39 to sausalito or peninsula diablo and go back with ferry.
The Golden Gate Bridge is magnificent in person. It is so large and bright, and the views of the bay from the bridge are incredible.
It is a truly glorious bit of Grand construction. Like the pyramids but without the whole death and Gods stuff.
Just spellbound! One of the most fantastic sights in the entire US West coast!
A must see landmark if visiting San Fran. This might sound weird, but seemed a lot bigger then it actually was in person. Also, worth noting - if you get a chance, ride a bike through the bridge to get most out of your experience :)
A must see destination in San Francisco..great views and amazing photo spots,a little windy and Parking is difficult to get but available after a couple of minutes of wait...
The bridge is iconic and amazing. Do try to go when there are no clouds though. Also make your way up the hill on the north side for more amazing views of the bridge and the city behind it.
The best place to visit in San Francisco... Quite a memorable trip....
Such a beautiful view, as well as an amazing engineering achievement!
If you travel SF you have to visit the Golden Gate Bridge as a tourist attraction the area is clean and safe you can rent a bike or walk around or across the bridge to take in the picturesque views of the bridge and river.
The Golden Gate is impressive, you'd better to go in the morning to see it because there is no fog
Amazing architecture and an excellent place for photography. You must visit this place if you are in San Francisco. There is public restroom at this place. There are multiple places for excellent photography. Must see place in San Francisco. Enjoy your visit.
The iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, CA.
Amazing bridge! Definitely worth walking across. Great views of alcatraz and surrounding area
Amazing feat of engineering shame there so many people always there but definitely worth a visit
This an American icon and well worth the visit. Up close, you can learn the history, see the construction, hike the area, and enjoy spectacular views of the bay area. It is often foggy in summer, but still worth it. You might spot whales in the water if you're lucky.
The most iconic bridge of the world. A must visit. Just watch the weather not to be able to see it because of the fog. That is a little bit luck.
Great views go super early or late for the best views. If you catch a rideshare service order ahead as it may take them some time to get into the visitor center. Fun facts and samples surround the visitor area and great shots on a clear day
It was a really neat experience to be able to walk across the bridge, amazing views of the city. It was so windy though!
Beautiful bridge with amazing views. You can see the beautiful skyline of San Francisco. The water below is beautiful. Love it a lot.
A visit to the Bay Area is successful only after a walk up to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge through dense fog.
Regardless of what time of the year you come, most likely you will find fog during daylight playing hide and seek with the visitors, however, that's where lies the real fun.
Onlookers gazing at the beauty of the Gate, waiting patiently for the fog to clear while on the other hand heavy traffic rushing on the other side of the bridge, all this, when combined, make it a successful visit to the Golden Gate.
Bike or Stroll across the 1.7 miles long bridge. It took us about half an hour to walk from one end to another.
#Day1 #SFO
It was so clear on the way there and cloudy on the way back! So beautiful!
The bridge is nice if you're walking it or riding a bike. But if you have to commute on it daily, I feel bad for you
Amazing bridge. If you are going to cross it by bike, be aware of the wind!
About what you'd expect, impressive older architecture, pretty scenic view from either end and you can overlook Alcatraz.
Awesome place. It was foggy through out the day. Interesting to note that the fog covers this place had a name. It's calles KARL. It has a twitter handle too
Can you guys think why Golden Gate Bridge is a famous construction design of Pacific(Ocean)? Because as it connects the ocean, they are named (Golden) Value of Peace! This is a Bridge One that symbolizes American Ability and Peace Force!
Hello one of America's great cities- San Francisco !
Arriving in it I was impressed by the architecture of the City, the location and such pleasant streets from the mountain uphill. On the pier 39 such delicious mussels, you can walk and have a wonderful time. And what a wonderful energy of the city, and want to come again.
Edward from Salavat
The one & only....have a wonderful time every time I go there.
It's awesome once you see it in person the California life of a picture is exactly what it is, the water glistens and the man made marvel of metal and the gold rush that created the instance of life as we know.
I love this place.amazing view. Well managed .food court there too .public toilet clean.
Very impressive bridge! Its lovely to go see this up in person its huge! We biked there and it was lots of fun but this would probably take about the whole day for you!Once you re biking on the bridge it can be pretty nerve wracking since there is lots of people biking back and towards the ends of the bridge so be careful ! Overall the view is great and its a very fun time!
It is a very beautiful structure, you can have a really nice view from certain points
Amazing bridge! If i could suggest 1 thing for tours! An engineering tour of it.... How the cables are terminated into the concrete and a tower tour. This is a gold mine waiting to be collected! $$$$ I would pay and many others would too!
Love the view. You can walk, biking or jogging on the actual bridge walkway. If You are going first time in winter (on the cinematic site-top site), I suggest to wear something warm on head as it s cold and windy at same time. Fortunately there are some historical buildings left which used during 1860~1870 military purpose. Some of historical rooms were spoiled by bunch of failed graffitis.
Stunning. A great thing to do if you visit San Francisco is to go for an early morning run over the bridge. You can take an Uber to the parking spots on the San Francisco side and do the 1.7 mile run across the bridge. Just after sunrise it is beautiful
Beautiful, stunning views the most famous bridge in the world
Impressive. Must do, cross it towards Sausalito and back, walking. Or, get to Sausalito and take the ferry back to SF. Just great!
Magnificent! Be aware that you can exit Frisco visa the bridge for free, but the return has an $8 toll.
One of the best bridges in San Francisco. An awesome view of downtown from the bridge!
It's fun and awesome you can get lots of great pictures but at a certain point they turn off the lights but yes its awesome
Full of visitors even on weekdays. The local authority has made the surroundings so beautiful, I was overwhelmed. My lifetime ambition, as a civil engineer was fulfilled in 2019, of a dream I nurtured since my school days.
While this place is good just make sure that if you have any pets make sure they're not a service animal. Me and and my fiancee didn't get far walking it when an officer on a bike told us we couldnt have the dog on the bridge because of too many people. While i can understand that and it was no problem picking her up because she was small another couple with a bigger dog went by him and didn't say a thing. Probably the only one time well be able to go there and it was ruined because people question service animals.
