I loved this place, it was a beautiful experience, beautiful view, a nice place to spend time with your loved ones.

It's such an iconic sight you just can't miss it and shouldn't. We had brilliant weather when we viewed it from the Marin Headlands and Fort Point.

Was here in spring of 2016! One of the better bridges . Yes , way better than the Brooklyn bridge. And the surrounding bay is huge and clean . I strongly recommend hiking both sides and continue your journey on foot and public transport !

For obvious reasons this is world's most photographed and beautiful bridge. I was fortunate enough to have it as a backdrop to look at all day when I was working the San Francisco Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon 2017. Amazing.

We've been over it, under it and sat back and gazed at it. Marvelous piece of engineering and a must see. The visitor centre is pretty good too

This is the most amazing bridge I have seen...the view is super awesome ...walking on it feels mesmerizing

You don't stop to pay toll. It really eases the traffic congestion. Still never get tired of the view coming into San Francisco.

Nice tourist place. It can at least be visited once just to see the engineering marvel constructed almost 7 decades back. View from the bridge is also awesome.

What a beautiful piece of History. This was our second visit to the bridge, and it still wow's us just like it did the first time we saw it.

Look at pics for hours.. I got there right at 9 pm.. Enjoyed the views but couldn't walk the bridge.

At an awesome experience! Renting a bike and exploring the city was the best decision I have ever made. All of the people I ran into were really friendly. Biking across the bridge is a little tight because of all the people walking, but it was amazing, give it a try!

I like the view! But this time, we are not lucky. It's foxy here. We can not see the bridge clearly. Poor us. But the weather was nice anyways. And the view was cool, even though we not get to see the bridge.

Beautiful most iconic place in california you can go to. History is surrounding the area... it gets windy and foggy at times but its beautiful

Always construction and I hate how that one left lane just disappears

Favorite bridge in the world. The distinct rusty red color surrounded by green or golden mountains will never get old.

This old bridge is huge and beautiful. Seems like it's usually cloudy, windy and chilly. But to walk across it from one side to the other and back is simply breath taking. Many people bike on it, but i honestly prefer walking and stopping every so often to enjoy the beautiful views and taking a bunch of pictures and videos.

I've driven across the bridge once and motorcycled across it twice. It's an absolute must-to-do. No toll on the last ride. Pretty foggy but we parked and walked around taking pictures. If your're a motorcyclist and haven't ridden the Pacific Coast Highway, are you really a motorcyclist?

Obviously a stunning bridge and view, but be sure to check the weather before you go! (Clouds/fog have the potential to completely obscure the scenery)

Bucket list item. Check!!! Walked and rode a bike across it. Saw a few , no, not like my ex-wife,real from birth whales. LOL Had a fantastic time.

Absolutely stunning! Have always wanted to see it since watch Full House. An iconic place in San Francisco.
We went across it and then took the boat tour under the bridge. Manifique!
Best to go during non traffic hours or you will be stuck in traffic. You can also walk across it or rent a bike and ride across but it s quite windy so best to wear something warm if you decide to do so.

Golden Gate Bridge is a steel suspension bridge with Art Deco styling in California spanning Golden Gate, a 1.6-kilometre-wide straight connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Opened in 1937, the 1,970-metre, 6-lane bridge links San Francisco to Marin County as part of the National Highway System. Construction of the orange-coloured bridge started in 1933 and took just over four years to complete at a cost of $35 million and the lives of 11 men. McClintic-Marshall Construction Company, a subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel, carried out the project with Irving Marrow serving as architect and Joseph Strauss and Charles Ellis serving as design engineers. Golden Gate Bridge is 227 metres high and 90 metres wide. Its longest span is 1,280 metres. Clearance below the bridge is 67 metres at high tide. Clearance above the bridge is 4.3 metres. The weight of the roadway is supported by 250 pairs of vertical suspender ropes attached to two main cables. The main cables pass over the bridge s towers and are fixed in concrete at each end. Each of the main cables consists of 27,572 strands of wire. The total length of galvanized steel wire used to fabricate the main cables is estimated to be 130,000 kilometres. Each of the two towers has about 600,000 rivets. Golden Gate Bridge is both a California Historical Landmark (1987) and a San Francisco Designated Landmark (1999). Approximately 110,000 vehicles use the bridge each day. Southbound vehicles (two-axel) pay $8.00 ($7.00 with FasTrack) to cross the strait.

Visited Mid August 2020, SO disappointed! Poor air quality from the forest fires . Huge beautiful bridge Over the hazey Bay!

One of my favorite experiences as a first time visitors to San Francisco. Make note that you may want to pack a jacket or warmer clothes as the weather can change quickly as the fog rolls in. It is no wonder that this bridge has been declared a Wonder of the modern world, from it's huge rivets to it's signature red coloring. Love the welcome center and gift shop if you need a memento or gift for those at home.

A classic destination you need to stop at if ever on a visit to the Bay Area.

Well known to everybody and used frequently in movies, it's a pretty neat experience to be able to be there for yourself and see the view of the Bay and city around yourself.

Probably also a fantastic place for photographers of all skill levels, offering chances at photographing landscapes and any birds or sea life that are minding their business on and around the bridge.

A magnificent view of the City skyline, Alcatraz Island and the Bridge....

Amazing, great big red bridge. Don t jump off, the water will be as hard as concrete. And there are a lot of people actually in a hurry to work and stuff, so try to play it cool. It can be really overwhelming

This is a very cool and historic place. You could spend all day here and at the surrounding areas. All with in walk distance. Its can be a bit of a hike, but worth it.

Spectacular site to visit anytime of the year. This expansion bridge" THE GOLDEN GATE" has a incredible history from the beginning in 1933 to present day. THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING!!. CHECK IT OUT

It's a little bit overrated. It looks nice from far away but it's just a bridge.

Nice to visit, driving, walking or by boat. The only issue is the increased level of robbery on the parking lot through the years. BE CAREFUL!

All the magic of San Francisco and the best view for the bay. Best is to go in the morning, walk through it, and after go to Sausalito using the walking path for a nice lunch in the many restaurants there, and return by boat!

The bridge was amazing. There is a park near the bridge which is very calming and relaxing. You can also get very good pictures of the bridge from the park.

I think it's more fun to take pictures of it from afar than to drive on it. Lanes are a little tight. This is a fun bridge to bike across. Very windy!

Can't beat the view. Easily the best place in town. Never gets boring.

A 3.4 mile round trip walk across and back the bridge. Well worth it. Bathrooms on both sides. On the SF side there is a place to get coffee and a souvenir shop.

Very fun to walk across, with great views. A few too many bikers, but well worth the walk. You can see a lot of wild life as you get further onto the bridge.

Legendary bridge, seen at last. You must walk across at least once.

It's an architectural wonder too, so a must see. Walk the bridge while taking in the views of San Francisco. Lots of ships and sailboats, views of Alcatraz. Beautiful views and interesting information at base of bridge about its history. Bring a jacket!!!

As always a great place to visit walk hangout and take pictures. The views of the bay and surrounding city are beautiful and the sunset it amazing. A must if your in San Francisco.

Golden Gate Bridge is symbol of San Francisco and this is absolutely must see when you are in this city. Here you can see amazing view on the San Francisco Bay, ocean and the city. There is a lot of places, in which you can take a beautiful foto of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Starting at the south side of the bridge. It is really worth a walk across the bridge and back. Fully wheelchair friendly access to the pedestrian walkway.

Visited the iconic bridge using big bus tours - highly recommend.

Definitely a place to see and walk across for the experience.

Its always a new experience and new angle everytime I see it. Makes the daily journey exciting in a moment of spontaneous breathing out of the bad and in with the good and showing my kids history.
