You can get there by foot, cycling or whatever. It's not just about the bridge - take a look around, walk from Presidio to the bridge, cross the bridge, go to the other side and get amazing views from the city.
Love it, to bad the fog didn't let us take a picture
One of the 7 modern wonders of the world. Come for the cafe, walk across, bike across. Great for the family. Enjoy the view!
Had a wonderful time finally seeing the iconic golden gate bridge!
Takes a big 30min to cross the bridge by foot. I prefer the view of the bridge from Fort Point (south side of the bridge)
Outstanding place. Best viewed from Marina Headings.
A great place to spend the day. The panoramic views are beautiful.
Definitely worth the trip if you find yourself in the Golden state! I was lucky enough to arrive when the golden poppies were blooming. Could have used a little more sun but the governor assured me that next time he would see to it. Coming from the north side of the bay pull off to the right before reaching the bridge to drive up this picturesque winding road that takes you to some pretty fabulous vistas and overlooks. Keep your eyes open for large birds soaring on the air currents below you as you watch great ships sail to and from the bay and Pacific.
A must see....we walked across the bridge and also did the free tour which was very interesting and well worth the time.
Who doesn't love the Golden Gate Bridge.
Arguably the most photographed bridge in the U.S., possibly the world. Picturesque. Historic. Romantic. There is never a bad view or picture. People photograph it in daylight, moonlight, sunshine, rain and especially in the fog.
It's not often you can walk across a national monument. Just watch out for bicyclists. They share the walkway with pedestrians. Plan ahead if you go by car. There are parking lots on both the North and South sides. You can also take a tour bus and not have to worry about parking. Many of the buses allow you to get off to take pictures.
Spectacular scenery, a must see if you're in or going through San Francisco. The sunrises and sunsets are hard to beat. Plenty to see and do.
Hold on to your hats it's windy going over here lol but the views are worth it.
Walk over if you want a less windy experience than on a open top bus like us but do it or you will regret it.
Fun experience! However, if on a tour bus, bring a jacket. It's cold driving through. Make sure to hold on to belongings, especially your glasses. Will definitely ruin your hair if you had fixed it, be careful.
Quite an exhilarating experience when you truly psy attention to the view.
Pretty awesome place bring a bicycle maybe a backpack with a Bluetooth speaker and some extra water
The engineering wonder is a symbol of the West Coast. Besides being the most photographed bridge in the world, the Golden Gate Bridge offers a beautiful trek. Although it is advisable not to go on a windy day.
Even though it was raining, this magnificent bridge made me forget my college applications that are due in.... 9 hours... Snap.
Biking across was a great way to see the bridge and the city
Spectacular!! A must visit on a typical to do lists in the bay area. Highly recommend taking the walk across the bridge and either hiking or taking a car ride to one of the hills for a spectacular view of the bridge and a quick photoshoot. Also, do try to visit at dusk for some insane views of the bridge and San Francisco.
Awesome place. Very cool and windy in winter. Please cover your head n ears in winter. View is great. You can cross the bridge to see sf from height. A must visit place for tourists.
Its a fun experience to walk at night, just. Bring a hoodie for the cold. Parking is free on the other side of the bridge outside of SF. When you are done with the bridge head to the marin headlands for nice views and hiking trails
It is a relaxing place to be you can walk, bike and drive.
A must visit everyone should walk the bridge once in a lifetime.
The best parking spot for the viewing are was closed we have to spend a lot of time finding a parking.. they have started tourist buses and the parking is open for the tourists buses only.
Amazing views of SF great for photos memorable times for loved ones and friends
Amazing piece of architecture. One piece of advice to those who wish to quest along it, rent a bike, it s walkable but it s a long way. If you do walk it, Uber/Lyft to one end and only walk one way.
Walking across the bridge is a must!!!! Beautiful sights, wonderful history, and simply an amazing feat of engineering.
Very interesting! Fun place to visit and views are spectacular.
Iconic and beautiful up close. Got lucky and it wasn't foggy around it in the late afternoon, even though the city was foggy. Very picturesque place.
A stunning place to visit we told red topless bus across one day and rode the bicycle across the next day was so much fun. Heaps of kids out riding there bikes also.
Very nice people and clean place. Much much better than NYC!
If you go by bike, I highly recommend to take the ferry to Sausalito and than cross the bridge, not the other way around. We were the only ones with bikes on the ferry and had no hurry back to return the bikes.
Place is amazing ... We could see the advanced and beautifully engineered bridge ... Heavenly view when fog appears above the bridge...
The bridge is beautiful and impressive. Too expensive
Ofcourse one of the primary sightseeing musts in San Francisco. Easiest and best way is experience this site is by bike. And bikes can be rented at nearly all tourist locations around the city.
Amazing. Having seen it in movies, TV shows and then being able to see it in real life. Worth the visit. Park your car and walk over it to experience it all and be amazed by the views.
There were relatives from out of town and this was a must on seeing. The weather was truly beautiful that day..
Always love to see the Golden Gate Bridge when in SF. It s a must see!
What a breath taking beautiful sight. Over looking the Pacific Ocean. The Golden Gate Bridge hold a special place in my heart. My parent honeymooned starting here and headed up North. So many times our family took trips to the great city of San Francisco the Beauty and majestic way the sun hits the red brigade is golden. Driving over it it is funny to think they are always painting it. Still with brushes. Not sure how many layers of paint on there but you can not even tell. The bridge still seems to move a little when you drive and walk on it a slow sway. But how grand is this bridge. What an amazing feet for engineers to say that they worked on this.
Breathtaking view, amazing monument. Would love to just sit there and enjoy the view for a while.
Had Fun time. Cycling is most here. Beautiful place
It was awesome. But I got a toll fee in the mail when I got home. Would've paid when I was there. But didn't see a place to pay.
Surrounded by sea, mountains and city, Golden Gate is a marvel in itself in the city of San Francisco. Cool breeze and the adjoining park even makes a complete day pass in a flash. Among the top destination in this planet .
What a beautiful place minus all the smog in the area. It looks like fog until like 1 PM some days. Still such a beautiful site, absolutely love this place.
Today it was a bit windy, but still a beautiful view of the bridge.
In the greatest bridge in the greatest city in the world. 6/5 stars
Well let's see I been living here since 1977 and still have yet to walk across it. I drive through it every single day though. Is just just another bridge that we use to cross the bay. I'm not about to freeze my nuts off just to walk across it. But maybe someday I will walk cross this great bridge of ours.
One of the world's iconic bridges almost 1.3km long. Walk across it and get a wonderful view of San Francisco. Alcatraz Island is also visible in the Bay 2km from shore.
Fantastic driving over in the camper ,magnificent bridge worth seeing .
Unstable at best. When was this thing built? I hear it's for sale.
Charming architectural jewel of the Pacific coast. Park on the south side and cross it by foot for the best views.
Seen it destroyed thousNds of times i dont known why they keep rebuilding it. Anyhow awesome land mark. When you stand next to the wire anchors you finally get a feeling of how massive tbis bridge is.
We cycled the bridge which was great fun. Little tight in places.
The beauty of engineering made history in this BRIDGE...
The Black Belt testing symbolic hurdle of crossing the devide , both of my kids ran across the span and finished . My son came in first several times and daughter came in second on her first time despite rolling her ankel the night before.
Beautiful view. We walked across at sunrise and really enjoyed it. We started from the welcome center just as the sun was rising.
Simply breathtaking. Love biking or walking across the bridge and see San Francisco s skyline from up here.
Very beautiful at nite..just to have a cup of coffee.
It's just gorgeous and iconic! As a native Californian, I tend to need a reminder how cool this landmark really is.
It is Realy cool but it was foggy Thare when we went Thare
Beautiful but busy. You have to be lucky enough to get a good view because it s always foggy here.
It's a bridge. It's kinda famous. Worth walking across if it's a nice day. Tip: try venturing under the bridge by walking the road to Sausalito.
Great view of San Francisco. This is a must see and very iconic bridge, must not miss.
Make sure you check the weather to get a good view!
Beautiful bridge, often covered by a thick fog that tends to disappear in the afternoon.
Lots of bike rentals offer a great way to visit it, cycling to Sausalito and back.
