Beautiful but very crowded. Nasty stoner couples having sex on the beach without even a blanket to hide it. Ruined the experience for me and because I couldn't take my kids around freely.

I was so looking forward to visiting the Golden Gate Bridge as I have seen it in so many movies and I really love bridges for some inexplicable reason. However, I couldn't have picked a worse day. It was really cold and foggy. But the scenery was really beautiful and I walked the whole bridge twice (yassss). On a sunny day, I'm sure its really breathtaking. Be on the look out for whales! Yes! Whales! Take a coat. And its a great place for biking. Enjoy the view of Alcatraz as well.

This is one of the best place to visit in bay area. I visited golden gate multiple times in various seasons and each time i visit i feel new & fresh. I would recommend taking a walk/bike ride on the bridge if you can. Don't forget to view the golden gate from the mountain.

We made our a little more fun for the kids and tried to get them to see anything in the water other then boats! The designs made with flowers are beautiful and theres some sections with information about this iconic bridge that are must reads!!

I had such an amazing time last Sunday. I walked from one end to the other and back. It took me less than an hour but I felt so relaxed. I wish there's no toll on GGB so that I could drive as much as I want to!

I was so excited to get my photo at the Golden Gate Bridge ! We definitely should have researched the best times to go because we went smack in the middle of the day on a Sunday. It was so packed, we couldn t even park! There were so many tourists, and the barriers there are barely there and children were roaming around free. It made our group very nervous as anything could have happened. I would definitely go back here super early in the morning on a weekday!

Probably the most famous piece of structure in San Francisco. Have always wondered why the bridge was called golden and its not golden in color until I went there and experienced it for myself. A golden experience that I'll cherish for the rest of my life. Very beautiful and majestic just as it is depicted in the movies. To get the golden experience I advise you to hire a bike and cross the bridge cycling with someone you love, friend or relative. I promise you it's going to be the best decision you make. Cycled from Fisherman's Wharf all the way to Sausalito. It was a long ride but totally worth it. On our way back we took the ferry and the view of the bridge was just magical. There are bicycle lanes and pedestrian foot path. The bridge is also a great place to take pictures but above all just enjoy it.

WARNING: tolls are on all the bridges (news to me, i dont have tolls where i am from) but I've never seen a bridge so awe inspiring! It was beautiful. You can bike or walk across the bridge and there is a visitor center with a good view of alcatraz.

This is a must do if you are in San Francisco. First of all it is free to walk across so it isn t like other tourist areas where you have to pay 40 bucks for entry. The views are amazing on a good day and there is a lot of small places to go to around the bridge. Great thing to do.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the U.S. city of San Francisco, California the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It was initially designed by engineer Joseph Strauss in 1917. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

An impressive and iconic bridge that is as much of a marvel in its construction, as it is a vantage point for looking back at the city skylines. Fun fact: It takes an entire year to paint the bridge, at which point they go back and start again. Fascinating.

One of the main tourist spot in San Francisco. Definitely recommend this place to visit at least once if in San Francisco. It's a beautiful bridge. And parking is limited it have to park far away and then walk near the bridge. Definitely recommend and please do take winter clothes during winter season or light winter weather during summer since it's always cold and windy.

Who would visit SFO and not be on the Golden Gate Bridge. Don't plan to go there towards end of day as the dog engulfs the place and bring down the visibility. If possible, take a cab from the city, view the place and then walk back. It's a good 40 min back towards the SFO City

Good luck finding a place to park or a bathroom that doesn't have a line that is longer than the bridge itself. Even more luck is needed to find a clean bathroom. Great views of the bay and Alcatraz. Even better views of the traffic whizzing by you. If you hate crowds and walking, just skip this busy attraction, or drive it. Still busy, but less exercise. Choose wisely.

Must see tourist attraction. As a photographer, I was a little disappointed when I saw the fog was so thick. You couldn't even see the bridge or anything. But I made my family walk across, cause why not?! By the time we got a to one of the larger beams, a lot of the fog cleared up and made for such a better picture.

First time coming here I loved it such a convenient park located right next to the bridge for pedestrians to enjoy the view of it even late at night just make sure to be safe. On Saturdays and Sundays pedestrians are allowed to walk across bridge all day until 9 pm. After 9 pm only bikers are allowed to cross. Bikers are not allowed all day Saturday and Sunday until after 9 pm. Monday through Friday bikers are allowed to go across the bridge from 5 am to 3 30 pm and after 9 pm. Bikers are not allowed from 3:30 to 9 pm on weekdays. Monday through Friday Pedestrians are allowed to cross from 3:30 to 9. Just a heads up. Loved this place looking forward to coming back

A breath taking and scenic bridge! I would reccomend going across it on foot because it makes for a great walk. It is not everyday that you get to walk across a landmark and admire the beauty of the Bay Area. Though there can be foggy days, it still makes for an interesting walk. The best times to walk across is when there is a slight breeze and its partly cloudy out.

With exceptional architecture and design, this is a must visit in San Francisco! You can go over the bridge to the other side and you can find a viewpoint. Views of the bridge from here are amazing! You can try going on a night drive too to look at the lighted bridge!

Very nice landmark, not much to talk about here... A bit of a trek to the top, definitely worth it though. Also a bit crowded up there for the bike lane and pedestrian lane. Biking up towards the bridge is a bit difficult at some points, 10-20 minutes to get up to the bridge depending on your bike and strength. 5/5 it's a great view

Nice place for spending time with friends or in groups. You should walk through it. You can drive over it, but doesn't feel any difference than driving on other roads. You can't park on the bridge. So, has to park in some nearby places and walk to the bridge. Vista point is the best place for this. But it is hard to get a slot there. If you just want to cluck photos of the bridge and the surroundings you can go to battery spencer. Parking will be a problem there also. But you can enjoy a really good view of the bridge.

A trip to California or the US as a whole is incomplete if you don't have the opportunity to pay a visit to the world famous Golden Gate Bridge. It is a sight not to be missed in any way at all. Do exercise caution when walking as some cyclists tend to speed very quickly.

This is a great place to spend a day. Lots of walking path' s and the views are amazing. Bring a lunch or hit up the cafe near the visitor center, or walk down to the old air field and have lunch down there. The Fort under the Bridge was only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which didn't work with our visit.

A walk across the bridge is a great way to see the city and you can take lots of beautiful pictures, especially from the viewing point at the end. However the walk can be extremely windy and cold, so be prepared with a good jacket. Also it's good to know that you may be unable to get an uber from the viewing point in Saulsalito. A one-way walk takes about 30-40 minutes if you stop to take some pictures.

The lookout views from both ends of the Golden Gate Bridge are breathtaking! It can suddenly get rather cold with the wind blowing in, so one needs to be adequately clad. An engineering marvel, the bridge has become a true symbol of California!

Just gorgeous. San Francisco favorite.

if you re riding a bike, please put away your phone and pay attention to other cyclists and pedestrians.

They way they operate the toll booths should be considered entrapment: there are no longer any non-fastpass lanes set aside for out-of-towners, presumably so they can rake in more revenue from fines. Fie on you, San Francisco.

It was really REALLY cold, just a warning. I still was glad I got to explore the bridge at least once. Definitely think anyone who visits or moves to SF should do it. Also, be aware it's busy with people AND bikers.
