Beautiful, massive construction! Highly recommend watching a documentary on the construction of the bridge before going to see it. Mind blowing!

I e seen the bridge, and drove across the bridge, but a must do is walking across the bridge. Nothing else can give you the perspective of the enormity of this thing and the task that was completed by the great men who built this. Beautiful panoramic views that you just blow past in a car and can't get from the shoreline. Make the walk, ride or run across. You won't be disappointed.
The most amazing place I have ever been. I would recommend everyone to visit this place at least once.
The name says it all. No words can praise the amazing architecture, the ingenious brains and hard working labor that worked together to put up this mighty piece of metal. Attractive at the same time.
This is a beautiful picturesque spot of an iconic landmark in San Francisco. Lots of options around the bridge either walking down to the bottom and taking a stroll through the old fortifications or getting cross the bridge itself via bus, bike or walking.
Another interesting option is taking the bus across the bridge and on to the very popular Sausalito. Lovely, especially on a sunny day. You can also catch the boat back into San Francisco as well. Although this is not paricularly cheap to do.
If you are visiting San Francisco then the first place to visit is this!! Architecture and engineering wonder!
It is obviously a lot of walking. Biking is easy, too. Keep in mind it can be chilly when exposed to the sea and Bay.
The Golden Gate Bridge is synonymous with San Francisco and one of the things we came to visit. There are loads of ways to visit and loads of ways to go across. We had hop on/off bus tickets so went across in an open top bus. It wasn t for the faint hearted upstairs as it was cold and windy but wow. Well worth it, the size of the bridge is incredible and the view over San Francisco and the surrounding area breathtaking. We didn t walk over the bridge plenty of people were, however you visit make sure you do.
In 1987, myself, my adoptive father and stepmom walked down the center of the bridge for the 50th Anniversary. One of the most memorable times ever, even with the utter chaos.
It doesn't matter if it's cloudy or clear, day or night, the Golden Gate Bridge is a marvel to behold any time.
A must visit place for everyone, lot to learn about the history of GGB and take great pictures. Be prepared to face strong winds. You may not see the entire bridge if there are clouds so checkout the weather if you are particular about viewing the entire bridge. The restrooms are a problem near the visitor center, for the number of people visiting there is usually a queue which is annoying. I hope the authorities are looking into expanding. Traffic in and out of the visitor center may also get clogged with tourist buses, hop on and hop off buses, Uber and other taxi service and personal vehicles, there is not enough space for all the vehicles to move freely.
So pretty here. Through the fog it's hard to see anything detailed, it's still a great place to hike and be outside in nature. If you have the patience you can get clearer views when the sun burns through the fog. Early in the day and towards the end of the day dont expect to see much more than fog... which is fascinating in it's own right...
Beautiful landmark of San Francisco, and you can walk along the bridge
An awesome bridge. It is something that I have long wanted to see. The views from the bridge are fantastic. I do recommend taking a walk across the bridge. You won't be sorry :)
Love the view of it. However, walking, driving or biking across it is highly overrated. Vehicles are billed electronically if they don't have one of those vehicular passes with a transponder. They only had one side open for both walkers and bicyclists traveling both ways. Constantly having to negotiate foot and bike traffic. Just enjoy the breathtaking views of the area.
Great spot to enjoy the views of the bridge from all angles, read about its history and construction and walk for miles.
The visitor center area has nearby bathrooms and water fountains which is always a plus.
Hot tip: you can park for FREE (rare for SF I ve come to realize!) and fairly easy at Langdon Court parking lot, and walk about 15-20 minutes to see all the sites.
Golden gate bridge , with no doubt it is one of the must visit place for tourist . It's a massive structure. You have souvenir shops near by. Toilets also available for tourist benefit. There is one two food service shops available and for someone's like me it may be of limited choice with expensive menu. So food before hand is always good.
Breathtaking view! Went on a perfect day! This is a must see. The walk was not to bad either.
Wonderful bridge and a day can be spent well there to explore the place near by the bridge
james bond movie "A view to kill " laste scene captured here...what a moment.. ohh yeahh..love it
Cool place to sail under. Iconic bridge that is under constant paint renovations!
It is a bridge. It is a very windy bridge to walk or bike across. It is nicer than most bridges you interact with. The views on the south side are quite nice. If you have the time an are biking I would recommend going the extra distance to Sausilito.
It's a great bridge to see up close and walk accross. A great marvel of its time. Looks spectacular at any time of the day and even in the mist.
It's a long walk so don't drink too much before you walk accross as no amenities in sight untill the other side.
Please feel free to click on like. Thanks
You can enjoy beutifull open panoramic vast seen. You can see mountains, the Pacific Ocean, the bay and SF downtown all at once.
A crisp morning and windy day, perfect weather for a visit to this San Fransisco most popular and most easily recognizable place. People cycling around and having a ball of a time..
This is a must see for visitors the iconic views are absolutely to die for
It's too chilly and cold there due to very strong winds. Better visit during sunny weather.
10/10 would recommend, excellent personality as bridges go. Easy to navigate
For some reason, the parking for cars is not allowed at visitor centers on both sides of the bridge. We parked in the nearby lot in pressidio area and were able to catch the sunset
It is one of the biggest bridges I have ever seen or been to in my life. The only gripe I would have is the weather. Most of the time its usually covered in clouds so make sure you plan accordingly. I was in SF for about a week and I only saw this bridge clear as day for one of those days. This was during August. Other than that I highly recommend to rent a bike and to bike across the bridge and explore!
San Francisco is one of my most favorite cities in the whole world. But to really connect with the city you must walk or cycle across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. It's free to cross and the pedestrian walkway is the east sidewalk running along the east (bay) side of the bridge. The city views are fantastic and you might get a photo opportunity with the SF-PD bike patrol as we did (my son was chuffed). There is so much going. We saw sea lions and dolphins and there might have been whales as well but we were not sure. We also saw some red tailed hawks. Also, at one point a helicopter flew under the bridge. To spend a pleasant day a bridge walk is a must. If you cycle right across the bridge you can visit the pretty towns of Sausalito and Tiburon to get some lunch. A really good day was had by all although we were tired on the walk back.
One of the greatest vacations I ve been on 10/10 would recommend
Golden Gate Bridge completed in 1937, it is one of the most famous bridges in the world and, at the time of its construction, was the longest suspension bridge in the world with a total length of 2.7km (8,981 ft)
Very iconic, traffic its always on the bridge but not too bad. Great place to visit I'd you've never been to the city before. There is a toll to enter
Nice walk(1.7mile or 2.7km) from one side to the other with stunning view to Alcatraz and Angle island or San Francisco
The one and only! Consider yourself lucky if you get a chance of a clear view of it without any fog around.
Grand experience in awe of human engineering. It was a foggy day but also cool. Made me thing of Call of Duty Zombieeez
Man has created history by building these bridge. Once in a lifetime view
One of America's architectural icons and it absolutely a must-visit if you're in the Bay Area. My suggested way to get there is to get a cab or walk to Crissy park and walk all the way to the north side of the bridge and back. So beautiful and awesome.
It was nice to finally see the Golden Gate. However, I actually more enjoyed the hiking trails in park on the other side.
A place to see and try. You should absolutely bike or walk it. You will see San Francisco with a new light. Try it at night to, it s great.
GOLDEN OLDIE ! My wife and I were on a 2 week vacation in California a few years ago. Being an Aussie this was my first trip to the USA and one of our goals was to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge while in San Francisco. It was so windy but we did it.....over and back in about an hour or so. The view over the bay was outstanding !
Umm it's there Golden gate bridge... Need I say more
I grew up taking many weekend trips here. With my brother and sisters who are now all adults. Coming here with my children only takes me back to when I was a child and being able to share my many memories with them as their first.
Nice bridge. Beautiful architecture. Too much noise from traffic and bridge urgently needs some paint.
On June 10th, 2015, the Golden Gate Bridge was closed to traffic to update the lane dividers. Being on an empty bridge felt like being in a sci fi movie. No cars was seriously eerie. I attach a few photos from that day as well as other views of, from and under the Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is a wonder of the world. Walk across it. Bike across it. Celebrate it.
An underrated gem of San Francisco. Most people have never heard of this cool little bridge so go check it out before the tourists find out!
Amazing piece of architecture and history! So glad we decided to walk the whole bridge and back, it was a neat experience. Of course, our teenage girls thought they might die from the walk.
Iconic location well worth the visit. Can't overstate the view and beauty of this historic bridge. The park is great and there's so much to see nearby. The walking paths make for an especially memorable experience, bringing the visitor right into the bridge and over the bay. Take the time to explore this place. Would love more time the next time I'm in the area!
Golden gate bridge is a world famous place located in San Francisco US. This is a beautiful place visited by people all around the world. You can get bus, Uber, Taxis from Embercadero station to reach to this place. You can also avail ferry rides from San Francisco ferry building to visit the place.
Amazing, one of the greatest engineering marvels. Walked the entire length of the bridge, which is about 2-2.5 miles from Vista point to the cafe on SFO side. There are no benches to sit on the bridge, so be prepared to walk all the way once you start. But, the experience is awesome. It was very windy on and around the bridge even on a summer afternoon. The bridge was covered in fog for most of the day, till the evening.
This is the main attraction of SF and you cannot miss it. There is parking in the area (not free) but very limited spaces of parking.
Its best to go there using public transportation (PresidiGo buses that departs from The Presidio)
You can cross the bridge walking or rent a bike. There are observation areas and a store where you can find souvenirs
Huge, exiting, and the hole family enjoyed. Only thing bad was traffic. This bridge should be one of the best bridges in the world. We will remember this for the rest of our lives.
Best experience riding over the bridge as well as taking boat tour under the bridge during my SFO visit and this the place I liked the most throughout my journey.. the great bridge with perfect sunlight makes it very beautiful..must visit..
Highly recommend it to visit and spend a fabulous day and the views are breathtaking.
Hey buddy I will come again, but hope it will be a sunny day.
Iconic, a must see. Very impressive, enjoyed the walk and views.
It is magnificent and the greatest icon of San Francisco. The views from the Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point is truly spectacular. I went there at early morning, the bridge was glowing in the morning sunlight!!
Well if you are in bay area you can not ignore this man made wonder !!
It is a red beauty amidst the blue wilderness of the Pacific coast of San Francisco. I have to go back again to enjoy its essence to the fullest.
We walked across and back! Def a bucket list item checked off!
A big bridge, kinda cool, a lot of traffic, couldn't find a place to stop and get a picture, it was covered in fog anyway. Now I can say I drove across it!
Nice scenic view. Definitely a place to visit when in SFO
Good piece of architecture, values a lot for people for the ease of commutation it offers to people. Great thinking and tough built
Beautiful views of the bridge. Lots of great little cafes along the trails to grab a bite or take a rest.
So fun but really windy when walking across the Bridge. Bring a hair tie it will help
This place is a MUST if you are in San Francisco, the view is amazing and crossing the bridge is one of the best experiences you can have
My daughter graduate in San Francisco & ever since she resides there & don't blame her, it's a beautiful city.
THE JOY OF SEEING GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
My partner and I have travelled to San Francisco on six occasions, on all of the previous versions we have only seen the Golden Gate bridge through cloud and/or fog.
This time we spent one day in the area in early August and the fog was as deep as ever. However later in the month the air was clear and we had some wonderful views of the bridge as well as the opportunity to walk on the bridge itself.
It is an amazing experience to be there, and a joy to get there on such a clear day.
It is well worth walking out onto the bridge to experience the views of the bay and the wonderful wobble of the bridge as cars drive over it beside you.
Magnificent iconic bridge, a must see place. Love the gorgeous red color especially prettier when the sunlight shine on it. It's fun to rent a bike ride on the bridge from one end to the other. Many scenic lookout view points along the way and on each side of the bay. Many stores, restaurant in the area. Lots activities to do in the city. What not to love SFO?
We rented bikes from the basically free bikes, and they were basically free indeed. I loved biking over the bridge. It was beautiful. It was not a problem to stop and take some pictures on top of the bridge. And don't forget to look down, we saw seals, very cute. We also drove with the convertible car over the bridge but the biking was a lot better. It's also possible to walk over the bridge which can also be nice, but the biking was a lot of fun because we took the ferry back so we saw the bridge from a lot of points. Such a cool day!
Walking on the bridge is great but riding a bike gives you access to the other side which has an amazing view, you don t want to miss it!
