Unbelievable after more than a year I get told that I have lost my no claim because on the advice of Interpolis I had put my car insurance in the name of my partner 14 years ago. Because we moved to Germany we had to find an insurance company here. In January 2018 several times contact and everything would be arranged reported interpolis. Now I am told that they find it very annoying that I lost my 18 years of damage. I have never been told that because I put all insurance policies on 1 policy, I would lose my no claim when moving abroad. The most frustrating thing is that there was no knowledge in January 2018 that could have told me immediately that I was no longer entitled to my accumulated damage-free years. The conclusion is, therefore, that Interpolis has been a client for many years now. The advisors (sellers) do not give home if you have a problem now because of their advice.

What is extremely annoying is that everything now runs through Rabobank. I wanted to take out travel insurance before the holiday, but this was only possible online if I have a Rabobank card or account. Tried by telephone, but after being on hold three times more than 15 minutes and still not able to reach anyone, the bii decided to arrange another insurer. Too bad, I wanted to insure everything at interpolis.

I have now been insured with Interpolis for 18 years. For everything, also my business insurance. Together more than 5,000 per year. I have always been well helped in the past. I called Rabobank every year to check my insurance policies. But since I can use the Rabobank app, I do it myself.
I thought that children up to 5 years of age are co-insured for free. Unfortunately this did not appear to be the case. Formerly, but now no longer. Because I was always well insured, and this was only the second time in 18 years that I reported damage, I had the hope that Interpolis would be lenient. I called the help desk and I would be called back within 10 days. After having heard nothing for 11 days, called again. The next day I was called back and I was told that people who are underinsured are not being called back, and that I would not receive anything because I had not taken out the right insurance. I received the same answer on an official complaint.
Now the fault lies with me, that's right. Yet I had hoped for a different outcome. The difference in premium amounts to 1.79, for 6 months. A fraction of what I pay every year. Call me naive, but I had hoped Interpolis would look at specific cases, at people. I always got that idea in the past. But apparently, 18 years of being a loyal customer is worth nothing. I do not feel heard and I am richer in illusion. You only get to know your insurance company when you report damage. In any case, I am going to look for another one.

Canceled our trip to the other side of the world due to corona. All the money has already been arranged back at 300.00 (total sum was 5000.00). They would not like to pay this amount because I do not have a cancellation confirmation + I have a credit. What good is a credit for a domestic flight on the other side of the world? Nothing at all. Outrageous how you are treated here. They may be quick to respond but receive compensation.

Continuous travel insurance Interpolis:

Interpolis states that your luggage is (additionally) insured against loss and theft.
However, Interpolis believes that the term 'theft' means that your property is stolen in front of you. You must be able to see or touch your property.

Example: Is your coat stolen from the coat rack in a restaurant? You are not insured because you have not taken care of your coat. The jacket was not in front of you.

If you ask an employee to give an example of 'theft', they (all) indicate that pickpocketing or being robbed are the only forms of theft that are covered by the insurance.

The bait at both Interpolis and Rabobank are all debunked in the fine print.

I have never had a bad experience with Interpolis about handling a claim.
The last contact with Interpolis was disappointing. But this was in the middle of the corona bustle (few months ago).

I had damaged stone chips on the windscreen of my passenger car and it has not been processed. Partly because I had overlooked the email I received from Interpolis myself. Could happen, but responded a few days later and had no more response from Interpolis.

Only after 3 telephone calls it becomes clear what the insured amount is, to the detriment of us. So unclear and unrealistic. Interpolis Crystal clear, quite true I have been in contact so often with regard to damage and whether it was insured and I have never had to pull a rope once, whether it was vehicle damage, damage to moisture in or in my home. I know no better than that everything is top-notch.

They put so much effort into helping, I reported damage to my home, a shower cubicle and ewrd called up to four times in one week. They took everything out of my hands while I had been messing around with it for two weeks whether I was or did not have to give up, they would reimburse and you name it. The most important thing: trust, know enough stories from other insurances and how things went, but at Interpolis, I have never had any troubles, I can recommend it to anyone. The worst thing about damage I think is all the hassle with giving up passing papers etc but they take it straight from your hands and really give you the feeling that you are insured by them. Stand behind you, be with you and against you.

And I can go on and on. Ten Interpolis points!
