Crowne Plaza & Staybridge Suites Abu Dhabi Yas Island Review

Amazing hospitality, great yummy food. Beautiful rooms with all facilities for short/long term stay.

I stayed at the Staybridge Suites on Yas Island for 6 weeks and it really felt like a second home. The staff was always very courteous and would go the extra mile for you. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had a great supply of fruit drinks and cereals along with the hot food which was just 'ok'.

I took full advantage of the gym and usually had it to myself which was a great treat. The pool of Staybridge was very nice, however I recommend going next door to the Crowne Plaza (sister property) as the pool is larger and there is a wet bar. The bartenders there remembered my name by my 3rd time at the bar, nothing better than soaking in the cool pool on a hot day arms reach of a drink :)

What was really nice about the adjacent properties is you could charge room service to your room from either location. Also on the Crowne Plaza property was a great restaurant/bar which always had lots of friendly patrons always up for a conversation.

There are also several other hotels on Yas Island just a few steps away, also a few steps away was the racetrack. Outside of that, you need to drive to go to any other destinations.

The Staybridge suites is the budget alternative to the Crowne Plaza hotel situated next to it, which allows you to use the facilities of the Crowne Plaza.
The room I stayed in was spacious and was equipped with a kitchenette, including a cooker and washing machine, ideal for families staying longer than a weekend.
The decor of the rooms is in need of updating as it seemed very outdated compared to its sister hotel.
Apart from the rooms themselves, there are minimal facilities otherwise and you will need to cross to the Crowne Plaza to make use of their facilities such as restaurants, bar and pool.
Overall the hotel was good.

I stayed at the studio suite and it was clean. Everything was available from dishes to a washing machine. The gym is small but enough. Service is amazing. I really recommend this place specially if you are staying for a long time.

Great place to stay with family. Facilities and staff is very cooperative.... But food quality specially evening food should be improved. But it still deserves 5 star.

I am really enjoying my stay here at the Staybridge Suites in Abu Dhabi, Yas Island. The staff are very nice, very professional, and really go out of their way to make you feel at home. If you re looking for a great place to stay when you re in Abu Dhabi, the Yas Island Staybridge Suites is a great place and I highly recommend it!

Lived here for almost a year. And it really did feel like home. The staff is amazing. And I got ALL my IHG points. Most hotels if you are staying for an extended period of time don't do that. The free dinner is great. I knew I was getting good, quality food. The location is ideal. Great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The free Yas shuttle stop is a 2 minute walk away, so you really have access to everything you need without having to drive or pay for a taxi.

Starting from the reservation, Mr. Shafeeq was very helpful as he finished my booking over the phone in less than 5 minutes. The breakfast and social dinner were very delightful! Farhad from the restaurant was a very hardworking person.

Lived here for a year in 2013, was a comfortable stay. Would have extended but greedy management wanted to hike the price with no flexibility.

Comfortable long stay hotel with an excellent location for an active lifestyle.

First stayed at SB to visit parks on Yas Island. The hotel is conveniently located at Yas Hotels Plaza - conveniently and quickly shuttles to parks, but go back from parks for a very long time. The staff are wonderful, special thanks to Sibu at the reception. We quickly settled, gave Welcome-drink vouchers and it seemed like they gave an enlarged number. We had a two-room, a decent size - easily accommodated four of them. In the living room there is a sofa, they asked to settle it and perfectly placed children on it. Each room has a kitchen with a washing machine and everything you need. The hotel itself is big enough, there is a small gym and a free self-service laundry, even with powder. The most interesting is the evening evening socials - in this case, the dinner buffet. It is quite decent and completely free, unfortunately, non-alcoholic due to limitations in Abu Dhabi. The free breakfast is also quite decent - there is porridge, cooked omelets, hot chocolate, fruits. Coffee machines with coffee beans are available all day. There is a nice library, but everything is in English. The hotel has a swimming pool that is convenient for swimming, but most of the people go to the nearby Crowne Plaza pool. In general, the hotel has many tourists with children, apparently everyone stops when visiting parks. Of the minuses - worn bed linen.
I advise you to book a package with tickets to the park - the hotel costs 4-5 thousand with half-board. By the standards of Yas Island is very profitable.
Be sure to visit Staybridge again in the country, not with a dry law for the Evening Socials.

The receptionists and servers were very enthusiastic and engaging. I felt very welcomed, to add to it all the view from the 7th floor was impeccable.

Cool apartment hotel. The room has a full room with kitchen (dishes + appliances available). Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Every day breakfast. On weekdays (except Fridays and Saturdays) - dinner. The range is small, but everything is delicious. Round the clock - coffee drinks from coffee beans. The pool is small, but you can use the swimming pool, sauna and gym Crown Plaza, which is five steps away, for free. Wi-Fi is free with a very decent speed (about 3 Mbit). The staff is friendly, but they don't speak Russian. Russian staff is only in the hotel and restaurant Crown Plaza. Underground parking is free. Every day give free vouchers to Yas Beach (15 minutes walk). We really enjoyed. Rested in November 2014.

God bless the most Merciful, the hotel is excellent and the prices are cheap, but you need transportation, everything is far. Apartments system.

Comfortable and clean rooms some with balcony and view over the pool. Nice big very comfortable beds. The service and staff was excellent and being an IHG member they added an extra 500 points to my account. We have stayed here previouiously and have used as a an overnight stopover on the way to Australia. Relax around the pool with a view over the golf course and out to sea for the next flight. However current building work is going to completely block the view and winter sun but ok for summer stays. You can use the facilities at the crown plaza next door which is unaffected. Avoid weekends as the restaurant is closed (from Thursdays)

A very ordinary hotel and antique furniture, you only live in it if you don't get a jealous hotel close to Yas Mall, the gaming world, and Ferrari

Unbelievably bad experience. I had booked accommodation directly with staybridge suites and received an email confirmation. Now I received an email telling me our family room has been cancelled without consulting us. This happened 3 days before departure to the UAE. My business trip and our family holiday are uncertain. I am baffled this was allowed to happen. So far I have not even received an apology - let alone alternative accommodation. To be safe I will book via online retailers in future.

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. The hotel charged the wrong credit card for our stay and more than a month later it still has not been resolved. Incompetent. Maybe this month we will finally get this issue resolved.

Best thing about stay bridge is that you get breakfast and dinner and if you want you can pack that as well. Rooms are clean service is fine.

Only hotel in the world that doesn't have any meals for 3 days a week, no bar and restaurant not open until 6.30am. Very limited choice of food when it is on. Actually 1 star is probably to much.

If u want to enjoy traffic less accesss to fun park this area is best with few seconds u reach all three theme parks ... best part is free coffee all time n u can cook the food in hotel for small kids n give ... good breakfast and u get tickets free to the theme parks if u book hotel over here which is more economical rather than going for separate booking

Family friendly hotel on yas island. Simply but comfortable apartments that come with buffet breakfast and social dinners on Sundays to Wednesdays. It has a 25metres lap pool and you can also use the facilities at the crowne plaza next door.

Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you, the hotel's location is wonderful in the middle of Yas Island, where most of the entertainment activities, Yas Park, Runner Bros. Studio, Yas Arena, Ferrari World, Yas Grand Mall, Yas climbing, golf course. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful views, the staff is kind and friendly, breakfast Delicious and .., thank you.

The room we were was very good. It was a big suite with 2 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, wash machine and drier. The hotel is well kept, it's clean. The parking lot has plenty of space and it's quite convenient to park. There is a proper swimming pool (pity it was not heated, even though it was hot outside, a little bit of heating would be appreciated). We could also use the facilities from the next door Crown Plaza, where there was a kid's pool and a kid's club. The staff is super friendly and very warm. Always ready to serve you with a smile. The hotel is also well located, walking distance from the Belgian Caffe (where you can have some buzz and watch games on the screens). There is a shuttle bus to Yas Mall (5 minutes journey). Weekdays they serve a complimentary dinner which is very much appreciated as it save us time of cooking :D and the food is simple, but good. I would give it 5 stars if the breakfast had more options. If you are a person who enjoy warm dishes in the morning, like curries and noodles, it is really good. However, there will be the same cakes, same fruits, same breads, everyday... meh. All and all we had an excellent time at Staybridge. I recommend.

This would not be the standard of a hotel on Bass Island.

It was truly a superb stay and feel really like home. Highly recommended.

Stayed for three nights and was lucky enough to experience their BBQ night! Hats off to the chef for a lovely meal. We enjoyed everything especially the Mushroom gravy which truly complimented the meat!

Love the room especially the kitchenette! Though the stay includes breakfast and dinner, it s good to have the option to cook your own meal and we did!

All the staff are very hospitable and always with a happy greeting. Thanks for promptly fulfilling our request to change beddings due to feather allergy.

One downside though is the Yas Beach access. They mentioned it can be reached by foot so haven t been there at all I thought it was actually nearby. Wish they could have provided a complimentary transport or insisted that we bring our car instead. It s a good walk given the great weather during our stay but it s going the main road and through a construction site passing men at work with our swim wear and beach towels (good thing we weren t in bikinis )

Other than that it was a lovely change of scenery. Happy for their service!

Staff is friendly. Room service is pretty good. There's easy access to all the local hot spots via their shuttles. The breakfast is good and the coffee machine is excellent.

My wife and I stayed two nights ar Staybridge in Yas Island Abu Dhabi, checking out today. The room and facilities were very comfortable, breakfasts fullfilling and the staff were extremely friendly. In particular Imran at the reception helped us with logistics snd kindly arranged for our late checkout. This is the second time we use Staybridge Suites; first being in London a couple of years ago. Lovely spot!
Stayed there for 6 weeks while doing a job. The staff were always so nice and helpful. The grounds of the hotel were always clean. You can use the gym of next door hotel with has a steam room. Ideal for a long stay but it s very hot and the hours that people do things are different than I m used to so it took some getting used to. It was nice to have a spa. They had a great breakfast every morning in the lobby. Fantastic food!
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay!
