It's magnificent, especially in the right weather. Some views are picturesque af. Service is very nice. Rooms and equipment are very good too.

You are choosing this hotel for two reasons: the view and the service. This is a hotel of pure luxury accompanied by a magical view of the Alps. The heated outdoor pool at night is wonderful and the food (like all Kempinski hotels) is excellent. The rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It's an absolute pleasure to be staying in this hotel.

Great experience, despite all the difficulties related to COVID. The staff is fantastic, helpful & friendly. The Johann Grill restaurant offers a very delicate local cuisine selection. The location is perfect for nature and hiking lovers. The SPA offers a nice way to relax after an active day in the mountains around. Highly recommended! We definitely plan to come back!

The hotel has a fantastic location on the Obersalzberg. The rooms with mountain views are very cozy, the view is great, the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is to die for, very, very delicious. Very nicely arranged and all high quality. The staff is very accommodating everywhere. Sauna and pool area was very well maintained. Overall, the hotel is very clean. Looking forward to my next stay in this great hotel.

On the bill there were gesture cards that were not given. Breakfast takes a long time. Drinks very expensive. The hotel is nice. The gentlemen in front of the entrance are sensational

I have been there many-many years ago, when it was called Intercontinental.This is the kind of a hotel, that s a reminiscent of a golden era of luxury hospitality - glamorous, comfortable, incredible service, awe-inspiring location... just marvellous! This is one of my favorite hotels that I have ever stayed!

The entrance area is beautiful, very high and invites you to linger. The service is also top notch. The rooms are very modern and classically furnished. The spa area is very relaxing and the fitness area has all the necessary equipment. It is beautifully prepared, everything is very neat and clean. The restaurant is of the highest standard and tastes excellent. In addition, the location of the hotel is really unique.

Great classy hotel but just too expensive for the performance. 3 saunas and 2 pools. The herbal sauna as always a disappointment and the front desk tried very hard but not really on the ball. The restaurant ... for 80 In the evening you can expect exclusive cuisine. But that was just mediocrity and the bread for
Running away. Waiter very nice and tried. Breakfast again only mediocre. Therefore 3 stars.

Nestled in the mountains is a unique 5 star boutique hotel. Well appointed rooms with great amenities. Enjoy the wonderfully relaxing spa. Have a delectable meal in a dining room with breathtaking views. Enjoy a beverage in front of the fireplace. Great place to relax on holiday.

The scenic location of the hotel is really wonderful. Regarding other locations, it is a bit remote, but you can also let yourself be pampered in the hotel. There are enough offers for outdoor activities and also some walking excursion destinations. However, these are explored very quickly and, as already mentioned above, you have to accept a bit of walking otherwise. However, this should not represent a negative point, but rather be rated purely informative. The staff is friendly and courteous. The hotel and the rooms are modern and stylish, the cleanliness left nothing to be desired during our stay. The breakfast was quite extensive, but I would have liked some variations. It should be noted here, however, that we were present during Corona times. There was nothing to complain about regarding the quality of the food, either at breakfast or at any other meal. As a quintessence, one would like to fully recommend the hotel.

What can you say great about this. You should definitely have spent at least one stay here.

Thank you for the "short break" experience over the past 4 days.

From the moment we arrived until the last minute, my family and I felt very well looked after and looked after. My son, when he was 5 years old, didn't want to go home anymore ...

Every wish was met more than courteously.

Incidentally, kudos to the bartender team with their funny service support - individual, non-alcoholic cocktails for my "little one" were invented here that not only looked like the alcoholic model, but were also always very tasty in terms of taste.

The SPA area exceeded expectations. I can hardly remember the last time I was able to switch off so well with a HOT-STONE as here.

You don't have to say much about the culinary highlights, the house awards speak more than for them.

A few months ago we visited Berchtesgaden and stayed at the Kempinski for a few days. There was nothing to complain about, the view from the room and the room itself were great. The service was excellent. To emphasize is the great breakfast, even if you expect certain things from a certain price range, that was really great class. The cocktails in the bar were very good, the music in my opinion a bit inappropriate or too loud. An elderly gentleman, who did not play the piano too badly, seemed like an entertainer - a jazz pianist might have been more appropriate here. However, I particularly liked the location - you have to drive out of Berchtesgaden only a few minutes to reach the hotel - I personally thought that was very pleasant. The only thing I thought was a pity was the size of the pool - especially with the location (space would have to be enough) and also the fact that the hotel is not in any old building, you could have installed a larger pool , This is not enough to deduct a star, but the rest was really too good - 5 stars! On our next holiday in Berchtesgaden, we will definitely come back!

Fantastic! My "Go to" mini vacation at Christmas and in the summer. And I live in the Intercontinental in Doha Qatar. Recommend having a room with a fireplace and an the amazing view of the mountains. Breathtaking!!!

How to imagine a 5 star hotel. As a "normalo" who does not usually operate in such hotel and price ranges, all of that is very impressive. Another highlight was the breakfast. The SPA area is not particularly exciting now. To relax and unwind, it's all enough.
Unfortunately the weather did not play along with us, but the view and the location is of course something special!
The service was always very friendly and courteous.
All in all it was a very nice stay, thank you very much!

I travel to hotels a lot for work and over the years, the Kempinski Berchtesgaden has been the one with the best all-round offer. The service / staff stands out in addition to the modern ambience, clean rooms, the best location, great food and breakfast. Only friendly staff who you can tell that they enjoy it.

The whole thing has its price, of course, but it is absolutely justified. A minor drawback is perhaps the small fitness room for the otherwise great spa area. There is not enough here for "gymrats" who like to pump. But I can understand because the concept is geared towards relaxation and recreation. I would love to come back!

Very rude security in the parking area. Despite a car breakdown and prior consultation with an employee, we were threatened to leave the premises. On top of that, there were still gay hostile statements. Since I and my friend had to sleep in the vehicle to wait for breakdown assistance. Had to leave the premises totally exhausted with a broken clutch at 0:30 am. We were not given any understanding of the situation.

My expectations were high, and the wonderful people at Kempinski nailed it.

Everything was fantastic, the room, the location, the service. We ate at the Grill, and both the Schnitzel and Burger were tasty and juicy. The breakfast was also exceptional - and the best COVID-precautions I ve experienced at a hotel. Felt completely safe.

They also had hand sanitizer and masks in the hotel room, which was really helpful.

One thing I always find uncomfortable at hotels of this standard, is that the service is stiff. I for example really dislike it when they take my bags to the room for me (I know that this is a service a lot of people love - but I always like to take my bags by myself). At Kempinski they saw me clinging on to my bag and asked if I wanted help. When I politely declined, they smiled and said it was no problem. This is so important.

Great hotel. Particularly noteworthy are the restaurants. The long breakfast is an absolute dream (until 12:00 (!)), The fireplace bar offers great snacks, delicious cocktails and the Johann Grill was an absolute highlight. The staff are great and deserve unreserved praise. The only downside was a slightly torn lacquer and a strange hair in bed. Oh, I almost forgot the gorgeous spa area. The view from the warm pool outside is unique. All in all a great recommendation.

Dream scenery & landscape in the middle of the Kempinski With the redesign of the rooms, no wish remains open.
At the highest level, whether spa area, breakfast or dinner, everything top organized including for the eye super beautiful sports car worth the longest journey from all over the world. I have a small downside for the exclusive kitchen, why do you have to do everything, or look from other hotels!
Soups in Einmach - Mason jars as unimaginative !!!!
There are very great porcelain manufactories, we should feel like princes feel good, but get put jars like the common people .....

One of the best hotel experiences, if not the best!

We were there the first November week. Great location, great service, very nice staff. Especially the ladies and gentlemen who served us so nice at breakfast. We celebrated my husband's fiftieth birthday there, it was just awesome. High praise to all. We will be back definitely!

One notices every minute that the Kempinski plays in a completely different league. Unique atmosphere, best organization, carefree care and the restaurant is simply legendary.

this is a great hotel. I can't believe I came here after I started writing short reviews.

The view is great, location is isolated, rooms are spacious and comfy, staffs are very friendly. There is live music (piano) in the lobby.

The hotel has excellent gym, pool, spa, and a Michelin level restaurant. In addition, it offers lots of activities like hiking, rafting, kayaking, canyoning, sledging, helitouring, golfing and etc.

This hotel is a gorgeous addition to my German trip.

Location convenience: 5/5 or 2 /5. (The location is self dependent, but if you want to go out, you will need to drive.)

Recommended for multiday stay to really enjoy it.

In detail quite nice, but too expensive and does not fit on the Obersalzberg

For me, this is one of the most spectacular hotels in Germany. The view of nature is fantastic. The food was delicious, the breakfast room service on the balcony overlooking the mountains ... priceless. The outdoor pool and loungers on the lawn were my permanent residence during my 4 stays. The cocktails are excellent and the staff friendly and what matters is ... warm. Previously as InterContinental, today as Kempinski, always happy to recommend without restrictions.

Unfortunately has deteriorated in the service. Except Restaurant Grill there everything good.

The hotel has a fantastic location on the Obersalzberg. The rooms with a mountain view are very comfortable, the view is great. The breakfast and the food in the restaurant is good. The staff is courteous. The sauna and pool area was very well maintained. Overall the hotel is very clean.

Nice modern hotel. Rooms are modern and clean. Unfortunately, the curtain was broken. Valet parking and welcome worked wonderfully. The spa, especially the swimming area had us a little disappointed. The service in the restaurant was great and very attentive. The wine consultation was good. The food and drinks were very tasty. Great location of the hotel and nice destinations are wonderful to reach.

Absolutely incredible hotel and spa! Cannot recommend it highly enough. A fabulous location with stunning views and surrounds! We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners here as well. The staff and service were wonderful. Cannot wait to come back again to relax and recharge!

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Guest room has enough area and storage and can spend comfortably. The cleaning of the bathtub in the room was not enough and the spring of the bed was slanted, so I decided to minus one star.
Breakfast was a great assortment and delicious.
Dinner was also good seasoning. I hope that the menu for vegetarians will increase a little more.

Went there with a group to coffee and cake. Despite early reservation too few seats, too few cakes. It was delivered only gradually. The staff was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed: we were not prepared (despite registration with contract). Cake was delicious, nice hotel, great view.

- Breakfast buffet more mass than great, there is a lack of high-quality cheese, hardly to be recommended for vegetarians, what do you need seven different juices from the tetrapak or similar. every morning ?, bread / pretzels of moderate quality, hygiene dubious: the staff wear disposable gloves, unfortunately the cooks (at the kitchen breakfast buffet) inevitably touch their faces again and again and put the mask on, every bread / roll / pastry is always direct DNA transfer is inevitable when wearing gloves (without reaching for a fork, touching pliers directly), breakfast costs: 35 EUR per person / day!
- Damage in the room (wall on the bed side), height adjustment shower head defective
- a lot of dust and unclean table on arrival, was done on day three, I had the idea to put a 20 EUR tip on the bed ...
- Thanks to the "Stay 5 pay 4 - arrangement" we "only" paid 2,200 EUR for 5 nights (plus parking, tip, tourist tax, restaurants); The additional charge of 70 EUR for the moderate breakfast on the day of departure made us very negative. Contrary to the booking conditions!
- TV set unfortunately does not have the function of the station media libraries, Netflix and AmazonPrime are not included either
We will probably visit the gourmet restaurants again regardless of a stay at the Kempinski.
The friendliness and attention of the hotel staff was excellent, as was the panoramic view and the overall ambience. Price / performance ratio is not sufficient for us.

Great location, cozy bar, friendly staff - "first impression TOP!

We only had a short rest there. We came back from a Kehlsteinhaus hiking tour. The location is ideal for hiking tours but also to relax and to enjoy the view in good weather.

The environment is very comfortable, the view is great, the hotel facilities are well maintained, the pool and gym are clean, and there are outdoor hot springs.

The very definition of a five star hotel, this beautiful hotel boasts amazing rooms, great food, stunning spa facilities (the outside hot pool being a highlight for me) and some of the best views from a hotel window you can get of the Bavarian Alps.

Very nice hotel with a great location and view. The staff tried hard but not worth 5 stars. Especially sad is the fact that if you happen to have checked in at the same time as an event from various companies, it is completely written off. Despite a reservation, you can hardly find a parking space in the garage, as over half of them are suddenly reserved. The entrance area, which is completely blocked by the company car, can no longer be used for loading and unloading. Otherwise you suddenly feel like a second-class guest. The breakfast and the restaurant is great. The bar leaves a lot to be desired, I don't expect moldy blueberries in a 25 cocktail. The fact that guests in a 5-star hotel 15 minutes before the bar ends no more drinks is underground. The location, the view from the pool and the great entrance hall make up for a lot, but not everything.

The dinner light is beautiful and the atmosphere is good. The room for the accommodation is also people who don t want to go home.
There is also a piano performance in the Welcome Hall~ a comfortable experience~

What a luxurious hotel! Excellent customer service and beautiful views from our room.

Everything is excellent.
Spa + beauty treatments were perfectly executed and above average friendly. The larger swimming pool was much too cold for me personally and unfortunately I couldn't do it with a baby.
The very good breakfast as well as the friendly service and the long breakfast time are very enjoyable.
The bartender was great (expertise & friendliness) as well as our booked nanny. However, the award-winning restaurant can still be expanded (service related, a little less arrogance and more expertise).

This is a wonderful hotel in amazing location. Also if you are into coffee , good news, finally there is somewhere in Austria, where you can find a great tasting coffee. Other than that stuff is kind, and views great if the weather is nice as well.

A really nice hotel in the Bavarian mountains. The view is amazing and there is nothing you could say against the quality of the food or rooms. The breakfast was splendid but I did expect a little bit more from the dinner. They served on two consecutive days exactly the same menu. And when we arrived, it took them about half an hour to bring the luggage to our room. It is these small things that differentiated our stay from the ones in other superior hotels.

The hotel is in a very nice location, away from the hustle and bustle.
We were there today as day guests and just wanted to have a coffee.
The underground car park could be used without any problems.

Hat hotel is very, very simply furnished and therefore seems a bit careless. There is something missing, something special. In the lobby we would not be greeted by the reception or heard a hello. Have "searched" ourselves. We took a seat on the terrace and the menu was quickly brought to us.
The prices are more than proud and not appropriate, considering that the kempinski chain no longer wishes to be categorized. Then you should also adapt here. 12 euros for an ice cream sundae see photo is not justified.
It took about 15-20 minutes for it to melt. The waiter spoke to a neighboring table on the way to us, I think it was staff who sat on the terrace, as they were visibly familiar and joking. We did not get a good appetite, it still tasted despite the salty price.

The tables were without covers and unfortunately dirty, our glass table was more than dusty. The other tables too. There are ashtrays everywhere, as a non-smoker it bothers me a lot. At this price level it should be possible to bring ashtrays on request.

Apparently it is not desired to make sales with bathrobe, that would be compared to guests. not really charmingly communicated by us.

All in all, ok, not particularly, very, very expensive.

The staff shortage is noticeable, which is not only a problem here, but should not be noticeable above a certain price.
