Hip hotel and spacious rooms. Rooftop bar is an awesome touch.
The place is located near the Intrepid Museum, which is by the west side. This place has an amazing roof top and as always the drinks here are always worth coming for. The food never dissappoints. This place was a great place for birthday also.
What a lovely hotel. Stayed overnight for fiance's birthday. We had drinks at the press lounge and what a fancy place. Very nice atmosphere to relax with friends. The room we stayed in had an outstanding view and nice big bed. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking around for a place to stay.
FORBES 5 Diamond Customer Service @Print .
Thank you Bianca,Marisol, and Katrina for a Magical Birthday Lunch .
Me and my new wife arrived and there had no confirmation of our booking due to a mix up with our tour operater .
The staff where amazing. Especially Anthony and Stephen who looked after us fantastically. It was the first night of our honeymoon and we wanted it to be special and them two guys couldn't do enough for us. It all got sorted tbe next day and we had four fantastic days in new york.
The location is ten minutes walk from time square and away from all the noise.
We would definitely recommend it and we would stay here again. Thank you for making the beginning of our honeymoon adventure a special occasion.
We visited the hotel's restaurant, Print, followed by the rooftop bar, the Press Lounge. We enjoyed our time at both locales. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, although the AC was blasting, so we were both extremely cold. I ordered a More
Beautiful rooftop views if you find yourself in midtown west...
The food is nothing special but expensive; the hotel is ok with good staff, modern rooms, and not so good cleanliness; the rooftop bar is stellar- and often jam packed.
Room was beautiful & the views from the rooftop are great.
Front desk staff are very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is quiet by Manhattan standards. The views over the Hudson are lovely if you get a high floor west facing room.
I have been staying in Kimpton hotels for about 4 years now and I love them, but this one took the cake. Amazing service, room was spacious for NYC, coffee in the morning was on point and bar and rooftop made ending the night even better!
The staff were friendly and helpful, very accommodating, rooms were fantastic, view was amazing and minimal noise at night (8th floor). Overall loved experience.
Excellent hotel and staff. Two classes above US standards. At the very least!
Stayed here just after Christmas over the New Year period. The hotel is located in Hells Kitchen and is approx. a 10 minute walk to Times Square (a very easy flat walk). Two avenues down from where Ink48 is located (Ink48 is on 11th) there is a street full of great resteraunts and bars that are outside of the touristy area and are generally not too busy so you don't need a reservation.
The rooms at Ink48 are certaintly not big by any means, they are quite small, but perfectly managable. Very clean and modern furniture with nice bathrooms. The robes in the room are a great touch, not seen by many hotels and are very comfortable especially after coming in after a cold winters day.
Free Wifi if you are a Kimpton member which is free to sign up.
Free fruit flavored water in the lobby was nice to have after a long day and in the morning there was always a coffee station with a Hot Chocolate DIY bar which was fun and welcoming.
Lovely staff working at the front reception always willing to print out ticktes for me when I would e-mail to then.
Only made it to the Rooftop Bar once but it was very hip, nice views, good drink list and good vibe.
This was actually my second time staying here and would definitely stay here for future NYC visits as it is just out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but still easy to access.
Around the corner from the Intrepid Museum on the Hudson as well!
Room Tip: Try and get a room with a bath

Perfect for access to the Ogilvy office. Good rooms, up and coming area with good food options, and dog friendly.
Nice rooms, good staff but the windows in the rooms open....so the people next to us decided to smoke ( in a non smoking room) and it very quickly traveled into my room. After multiple calls to the front desk there was nothing they could about it. We were stuck in a Smokey room and the hotel did not seem to care. They could have moved us but decided not to, even though they had available rooms. I won t ever stay at this hotel again and I wouldn t advise anyone else to either. The customer service is not up to par and this could be a really great place which makes my situation very sad.
Pretty standard hotel, nothing too fancy. Nicely sized rooms, bit larger thwn most NYC hotel rooms. Views from hotel ok but not great. Note there is a very loud club across the street from hotel Friday/Saturday it gets very loud, even on the 11th floor. Traffic from 11th avenue also loud. Slightly off the beating path location being so far west, okay if you have business near by but if you're touring the city it's not an ideal location.
Very classy hotel, with a dedicated staff and a convenient location. We are in the heart of a neighborhood full of good restaurants. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The stay was perfect and a big thank you to the bar staff who were so sweet.
Super clean, super cool, everything was phenomenal. Only complaint is that you have to pay 14 dollars a night if you want wifi.
I was impressed with the Kimpton48 Hotel the moment I arrived and checked in, The Hotel Rep was very helpful and my reservation to our room was confirmed and ready, This was a great 3 day weekend, I was celebrating my girlfriend birthday and we had a great time at the Kimpton48 Hotel.
Our room was nice, spacious, Very Clean, The shower was perfect and we had a hot-tub in our room. The seen from our room over looking midtown skyline. I must say the entire stay was very relaxing and pleasant from the moment we arrived. They provided us with plenty of towels, (2) robs. We also had a sofa in our room which was next to oversize window with a nice view at night. I can't wait to go back.
Looooove The Press Lounge! Cozy!!! Great view from the city!
Great Lounge music
I love staying at Kimpton Ink48. Stunning service! From the cleaners to the front desk staff to the doormen: everybody super helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfasts at the restaurant. Hotel is central to the museums and shops, perfect location. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Ink48 can be recommended.
Very friendly staff. The room itself wasn't amazing; there were carpet stains, and the furniture was a little tired and dated.
I do not want in the hotel. Good service and drinks Good for very expensive (expected)
gorgeous, good attention to detail, appreciated that they even decorated the construction scaffolding outside the hotel front! very pretty and creative
I was just here to check out the rooftop bar and it looked very nice but they weren't allowing anyone to go outside because it would cause too much noise and I believe that a bar should not have to worry about that. There are other places that give you the same or better view and allow you to be outside.
Great room and loved the concierge checking to make sure everything was ok. Restaurant was awesome! Can't wait to come back.
Beautiful lobby. Nice personnel and staff. Nice hotel to stay with your dog for the WestminsterKennel Club Dog show
The rooftop lounge was incredible. The view was amazing and the fire made it cozy
Visited a guest. Everyone was very nice and the guest spoke very highly of the hotel
Went to press lounge. Bar was closed for private event and there wasn't another bar open. We had to wait for a waitress to come take orders, took forever and left soon after.
Guest services were very accommodating and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Press lounge has an amazing view and great ambience
Great hotel to host a party or stay in the city. Location is perfect. Definitely recommend!
Went to the Press Lounge, the rooftop bar on a warm summer night and loved the atmosphere and views. The bar was surprisingly not crowded. I took my time and enjoyed a negroni with my friends before heading out. While the drinks are not cheap, you get what you pay for in terms of atmosphere and a great Instagram.
Met a friend at the rooftop bar. Great view, very roomy, good drinks, okay crowd.
My room this time was smaller than I am used to here, but it was still very well furnished and the service was great. This is a wonderful property in midtown Manhattan.
Everyone at Ink48 is extremely helpful, courteous kind, and understanding. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best experience you have had. They definitely set the bar to a new standard. Great location, out of the way from the tourist area but close enough to walk to of you so desire. Definitely recommend!!!!!!!!
They text you to ask if the room is acceptable. I am in love with this hotel.
This Kimpton, just like any other, is absolutely fabulous. Their superb service sets them apart from other hotels in this price range. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. I highly recommend you check out Press Lounge on the 15th floor: one of the best Skyline views in West Manhattan. The only downside to the location is that it is not near any subway lines.
Excellent hotel, stayed in a king room with a city view and soaking tub. Hotel was very accommodating with special arrangements, room service was delicious and reasonable. Will stay again.
Seen is breathtaking. The big plus the stove in a corner of the room that warms us and gives a romantic and refined and the long "pool" outside that gives even more charm. The view at night remains magical. I highly recommend it
Drinks and atmosphere were great nice alppace to get some drinks for a casual night out.music is not too loud and the crowd is older and not as rowdy. My only detraction is that the cocktails are some of the priciest I've seen in the city
Every once in awhile you come across a place that causes a dilemma. Do I write the raving review and let everyone else know how wonderful this place is and risk it becoming too popular and expensive or do I keep it a "secret"? Well, my experience this weekend is well worth that risk. I was lucky enough to be a guest of my friend who was staying at this hotel. It was her first time staying here as she made the reservation after doing some research online. We are long-time friends and she is a world traveler and I am not as much but when I travel, I am a hotel snob. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we were pleased. The check in was easy and the staff was friendly. They upgraded us to a bigger room on a higher floor. The view was breathtaking and the room just lovely. We rested a bit and headed out to have some wine and appetizers, stroll a bit, have dinner and then head to the theater. As we began our journey, we stopped at the front desk again to get some wine bar/tapas suggestions from the front desk. All I can say is that you seldom come across someone so knowledgeable, personable and happy to do their job as was Stephen ~ The Hells Kitchen Expert~ he made several recommendations for wine bars, neighborhood bars, restaurants printing off suggestions at the touch of his finger. He asked us to please stop by when we returned to let him know how our evening went. He shared his experience of seeing the Broadway show we were going to see and even gave us some background on that. When we returned from the theater late that evening we were momentarily concerned when we saw the long line outside the hotel. It was a Saturday night and there is a roof-top bar. We went into the hotel and after letting Stephen know that he was spot on with ALL his recommendations we were taken up a separate elevator to our floor. We did go and peek at the rooftop bar, which looked great with spectacular views. When we finally got back to our room after a great evening we had the pleasant surprise of a bottle of wine and some snacks which just made the evening absolutely perfect. My friend said several times during our overnight stay, "I hope I read the price for this correctly". Stephen went out of his way to make our girls weekend spectacular. What a find!! We will be back
need a drink after work with a nice view of the city and not overcrowded place full of tourists? this is your place.
Roof top view, absolutely beautiful. Gray atmosphere.
Had a company party here. It was a bit chilly, but the view from the outside rooftop deck is to die for.
Room with great views ...roof top terrace was amazing...staff friendly... however two many little things wrong... fixtures in room a little tired... check in was a terrible experience.. getting key card recut felt like the Spanish inquisition... asked for a cab and got a more expensive private hire car... with a bit of a spruce up and better management of what were a friendly team on site could be a real go to hotel....location was spot on !!
Amazing stay, amazing restaurant, professional staff, can't wait to return!
Food is always good, drinks and great and service is lovely. I come here often.
Went to the Press Lounge for drinks with friends. Staff was incredibly attentive and took care of my friends and I. The view was great and the rooftop was super comfortable even in the rain.
Why are you soooo bad about updating the homepage with private events on the rooftop?? Do you want to have irritated guests??
Would of been great if we could of made coffee in our room.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel that I stayed another night. There is a couple of down sides to me that really would have made my 4 stars 5...there was no microwave or fridge. So either I had to eat my food that I ordered very quickly and only enough for one night because I had no place to store it or reheat. This was very upsetting to me, seeing how I stayed so many nights and really wanted to eat leftovers or warm up coffee..but couldn't. Bummer. Other then that I loved my room, and the bathroom was next level.
Stayed here for business . I have to say as time passes the hotel rooms in the city are getting smaller. This place by far is the spacious hotel room I have stayed in Manhattan Island.
Everything smells luxury and class. From the bathroom soap to shower heads in the shower. Staff is very polite and courteous.
Amazing , simply amazing roof Press Lounge. The views are one of the best skyscraper view on Manhattan.
Also lot of options to choose from specially in room service includes dinning. Enjoyed our brief stay and will not hesitant to recommend this lovely gem.
Nice place, expencive drinks in the lounge. Food in the restorant was good
Expensive drinks on the rooftop patio but the view was amazing. Also watch out for mosquitos - they're everywhere
We are checking out tomorrow after having been here for nearly 2 weeks and we don't want to leave. What a great place to base yourself for adventures in New York. Far enough away from the noise and pandemonium but close enough to walk to public transport and Times Square. So many great food options in the area as well as the most incredible rooftop bar. The staff have been lovely and quickly solved an issue we had with a loud noise coming from our room wall by relocating us to a bigger suite. We will absolutely be recommending Ink48 to our friends back home as well as our travel agent as we were the first guests he had booked here.
Although you are "not in the middle of it all" in NYC you are a few blocks away from Hells Kitchen, a little further from Grammercy and so you get a bit of a break on the Hotel cost.
The rooms are modern, and smartly organized. Service is also good and the roof-top bar view is a plus. The Print restaurant has mediocre food, mostly too salty and overpriced. Overall good. Just eat out.
Service is excellent but the walls are paper thin. I was jarred awake by a group listening to music and partying at 5am, then a crying baby at 8am. Probably the least refreshing night of sleep I've gotten at a kimpton Hotel. Oh, and on the north side of the building there's a rooftop nightclub across the street, so if you're facing over it you get to hear that all night. Bring ear plugs or noise canceling headphones. I wore mine to sleep.
I went to a professional event that was held in the rooftop space and enjoyed myself. Staff was great, no problems with security, and the facilities were nice. The location of the hotel itself feels a little out of the way, and going there on a snowy/slushy day was not exactly a great experience, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't take away from the total experience.
Out standing customer service, Great food and fantastic drinks
Had a wonderful dinner at Print, the restaurant on the first floor of Ink48. Service and food were great.
Very impressive hotel. The restaurant serves excellent food. Good ambiance. The view on rooftop beautiful. A place to visit, stay and eat.
The roof top bar is super nice...beautiful view. Best part of hotel.
